(00:00) started so just bear with me for just a quick second so for everybody that's in here uh welcome I believe we don't have too too many new faces in here at the moment but that's okay uh if you view my screen you just have to under the voice chat uh you'll probably see my name and it says live you just have to hover over that or click on that and you should be able to view my screen uh I have a loose agenda of a few different things I'd like to discuss today they're all server related I just want to go over multiple things
(00:33) that we have in the server some of the features that we have how to utilize them and then we'll open it up to kind of a general server Q&A from there and of course this will be recorded and it will be made available to everybody after the session as well so if you want to reference back to it or if you have to hop in and out of the session that's completely fine so again I kind of just have a loose agenda but I just want to ensure that we cover all these things this is by far the everything that we have in the server but I think these are
(01:06) some key features that we have that set us apart and also that I believe some people are underutilizing so some are going to be Amazon specific some general reselling specific some just quality of life but I want to go through all of them uh Evan had a question here about uh inventory so yeah we'll get into that Evan at the end of the session for the general Q&A there so the first thing that I wanted to mention is the private restock monitors that we have in the server so the private restock monitors they operate almost identically to the public
(01:45) restock monitors that we have and so the public restock monitors that we have you can find under under the restock monitor section and what these guys are doing are monitoring any products that we have deemed have been good deals profitable Etc and then they are pinging these channels when those items restock within seconds okay so our restock monitors I've tested a lot that are out there on the market these are the best ones that I found the quickest and most consistent that I have found and almost always they're pinging within a few seconds if
(02:20) not slightly early I found in the case of specifically Amazon and Best Buy quite often we get pings before they even actually are showing in stock on the website cuz it's picking up the information from like the backend API and pinging us and then as soon as you open the link it'll show out of stock but if you click the add to cart function you can actually check out so our private restock monitors operate on the exact same concept except for they're not public they are entirely private so if you look in our under the
(02:53) general category we have something called a command list so right down here uh this has a full list of all the tools and Bots that are available for everybody to use in the server so if you look under uh restock monitors private this walks you through a little intro on how to use it uh all you really have to know is that all you have to do is either click on and message the smt member bot that was our prior server name that's going to be Chang in your future or you can find the bot in the member list over here so all I have to
(03:30) do to do that is just open up the member list right here scroll down to the bot section find the smt member bot right here right click on that guy and click message and now you can interact privately with this bot okay so this is being provided from a third-party provider uh he's one of our developers in the server he is from Germany so he has no conflict of interest for North American Products so you don't have to worry about him buying your products he's the only one that can see besides yourself what items you're actually
(04:05) monitoring I don't have access to that only he does and he's not an Amazon Seller he's a full-time bot developer uh but yeah you can basically interact one-on-one with the bot add in any restocks that you want for any of the stores that we support which is a couple thousand different stores okay so you can see in the command list and again if anybody has any questions as we go if feel free to either cut in on the mic or send a chat in the message uh but there's a small list of commands here that you can utilize with
(04:38) this bot so you can do the exclamation mark M which is just a indication of a command for the bot and uh with help after that and then that will give you a full list of all the commands that are available to you uh you can do the add command which we'll go over an example here shortly to add your own restock monitor you can remove one you can see all the ones that you have running and then you can see all the monitors that we have available so I'll show you an example here if we come into the bot and we do the command exclamation mark m space
(05:13) monitors we can see a full list of all the restock monitors that are available to you so this list is quite extensive and when you really dig into it it's even more extensive so we have all the Heavy Hitters for Canada like Amazon CA Best Buy CA Toys R R Us um Home Depot Canadian Tire um Lego almost most of the Heavy Hitters for Canada and then we also have Shopify so Shopify for those that are unaware is one of the largest e-commerce Platforms in the world a ton of stores operate their storefronts through Shopify so if a website is a Shopify
(05:56) website no matter what the products are you can uh monitor for restocks and we'll go over a little bit later how you can identify a Shopify site as well it's pretty easy so I'm going to go over just a few brief examples here on how you would operate the bot so again if we come back to the command list you can see that if you want to add a new restock monitor all you have to do is just run the add command with oops with the store name and then the skew so sub websites take a skew while some websites take a entire
(06:33) URL the nice thing is the bot will tell you uh whether you do it wrong or not it seems intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it it's actually pretty easy to use and then before we continue on I also just want to address this little note that we have here it does indicate that every member is limited to 10 total restocks this is just to ensure that we're not having an over usage of resources because the developer has to use like lots of proxies and resources for these restock monitors however that
(07:07) is a soft limit you can go above 10 total yourself it's just if you're sitting there and you add in like 50 or 100 in one day he's probably going to message me like what the hell is this person doing why are they using so many restocks so just avoid going overboard and if you're no longer interested in a product remove it from your list if we have people that are going overboard on the restock monitor it will definitely get locked down in the future so just be mindful of that so if we want to add in a restock
(07:39) we will message the bot and all we have to do is find the product so say I want to monitor this item for restock if it was out of stock you can monitor it right now if you think it's going to go out of stock you can do that as well I know already that this uh website is a Shopify website so what I'm going to do with Shopify is I'm going to grab the entire URL before the question mark if there's ever a question mark just grab the URL before the question mark I'm going to grab this whole guy here copy that come over to the bot uh
(08:13) run the ad command so M add Shopify full link the bot will think for a second and then it'll tell me if it did it successfully or if it failed and it'll typically tell you why it failed so this has been added successfully to my list so now if this item goes out of stock whenever it comes back in stock I will get a direct message from our bot just like our public restock monitors uh indicating that the item has restocked so this is a super helpful feature for OA sellers if you're wanting to monitor items that are consistently
(08:51) out of stock um this will help you secure those products a lot quicker uh there's websites like Indigo for example where you can enter in your email and they say that they'll message you when the item comes back in stock I have gotten pings on here and I have never received an email from Indigo when an item restocked because I was able to buy the stock before they actually sent that email out so these are a lot quicker than the in-house systems in general another big one for that would be iherb as well we support we also
(09:18) support iherb CA as well so that's how to add a Shopify site if you want to add a regular website um most of the big Heavy Hitters like uh Amazon uh Walmart uh hold on what's going on here uh Walmart Amazon Best Buy they take the skew of the product so the skew is just typically like the last little bit of the product here so like with Amazon it's the as in uh with Walmart it's the string of numbers at the end of the link so it's like 68 Etc so you just grab the skew and run the same command so we go M add the store name so in this
(09:57) case it's going to be Amazon CA the skew add it and then it'll tell you if it's been successful and if you're ever curious on what how to like name your store when you run the list command or all the monitors command this is how you would have the stores named for your command so like for Academy you do Academy for Amazon CA you do Amazon ca for Amazon us you just do Amazon so it tells you right here on what store how to input the store and so this guy's been added so now that's on my list so again if it were to go out of stock the next time it
(10:41) comes in stock I would get pinged within a few seconds and then if you want to remove products it's the same kind of concept instead of doing M add we do exclamation mark M uh remove Amazon CA skew then it will remove it from my list and if you want to see what products you are currently monitoring for any storefront all you have to do is exclamation mark M running then the store so we have one for Shopify and it'll give you your entire list right there with the links to go to the products so you can very easily see
(11:22) what products you're monitoring and remove any that you have uh that you don't want to monitor anymore so yeah again this is super good for like Amazon OA Sellers and it's also really good for just general resellers that buy and sell a lot of like really hyped items or items that uh sell out very quickly and have the potential to come back in stock so like for example the Disney dolls that dropped earlier today we can very easily monitor those for restock uh a lot of the hyped items we'll have in our public monitors but
(11:53) you can also do it privately as well if you so choose so anybody have any questions about the private restock monitors at all before we carry on to the next topic if you do don't be shy you can hop on the mic send a message in the chat whatever you like no questions okay then we'll carry on oh yeah go ahead sorry yeah so um as for the private restocks um if how do we tell which one is the skew um whether to use a skew or the URL is there um a a prompt that will outline uh which store would require the skew and which stores
(12:40) would require the URL to set up a private restock monitor I would really like if our list had that like indicator right next to the products but unfortunately it doesn't so when you go to go add a product and if you input the incorrect format the bot will just yell at you and tell you that you did it incorrect so I'll show you for example with Amazon I'll just grab the entire URL and I'll go M add Amazon CA it'll tell me it requires the skew and then if it requires the entire website and you put in the skew it'll
(13:15) tell you that it requires the full website okay so you basically for now at least just have to try and see see what works and if it doesn't work then the bot will tell you what does work and then that's that's how you would learn it yes the vast majority websites takes this take SKS uh there are like of course Shopify you can't do uh SKS because Shopify needs to know the actual website um but there are some random websites here and there that um are General websites that are not Shopify that do take links uh but most of them
(13:47) are the SKS but either way the bot will tell you thanks definitely if anybody else has any other questions for the restock monitors let us be known if not we'll carry on cool so then we'll carry on to the next topic uh so the next thing I wanted to discuss is the free auto checkout uh or AO that we offer in the server so you'll see quite regularly um us uh tagging CU monol or vin asking if he'll offer ACO for certain products and you'll also notice that we have a whole category called Auto checkout so we have two separate
(14:33) sections for auto checkout we have free and we have paid but so what Auto checkout is is these are people who are Bing professionals they have been running Bots uh to automatically check out products for a very long time um multiple different B multiple different bot platforms uh a lot of these guys come from the sneaker world but a lot of them have moved into General reselling as well and they can for a lot of websites run their bots on your behalf and check those items out for you with your information and they're able to purchase
(15:11) items a lot quicker than people can manually of course people can run their own Bots um anybody is able to purchase Bots rent them Etc we have a full kind of breakdown guide for that in our sneaker guide uh but for those that don't want to run Bots think it's too complicated don't want to incur the cost to do so you can utilize the ACO services that we have in the server so for a lot of the drops that are happening a lot of the main drops uh especially ones that are going to be profitable if he can uh Vin Q Montreal
(15:44) will run ACO for almost everything and if he is running automatic checkout or Auto checkout for it it'll be in the free ACO section of the server and what it is is he will provide some information and then he'll provide you a Google form where you just simply go in and input your information he will input that information into his bot and then his bot will attempt to check out those products on your behalf okay so there is a whole section here on how it works and it does indicate here are there any risks so technically there are some
(16:23) risks because you are going to be giving somebody else your information right so your name your your address your credit card information however the risk is fairly minimal because One credit cards are insured against fraud so if anybody ever tries to steal your credit card information you can very simply get your money back it's going to be more of a pain in the ass a nuisance to deal with than anything but you'll be insured uh but two all the people that we have in the server I have vetted quite extensively so I'm very confident
(16:54) that nobody would attempt to steal information obviously I can't guarantee that but it's a possibility that's why I always say use a credit card not like a Visa debit or something that's not insured and then of course as well with somebody running Bots it can be unpredictable on how many units it's actually going to purchase so like if you only want a single unit of an item you can ask the the the ACO provider if they can get a single unit however it's not always guaranteed because a bot can sometimes attempt to do multiple
(17:27) checkouts right so you just have to be worry about that that if an item is releasing you may get more units than you were expecting of course most retailers you can cancel return things Etc not the case with everybody like with every retailer so like if we have like a super expensive art drop that's happening it's going to ship out immediately uh and it's not limited to one per person and like say it's multiple thousands of dollars you want to ensure that you have the money available or you have a um you have the expectation that you
(18:01) might be on the hook for more than one unit and then we also have uh paid ACO so that we just have additional ACO providers in the event that there are any drops that are happening that VIN cannot support or that he will not be available for we also have these other providers in here as well so when they um do any releases they charge a small fee it's typically based on the estimated resar sell or profit amount that you're going to get it's called a pay after success fee or pass and they only charge you if your items are
(18:38) successfully checked out so like for example playing here was offering ACO for the Disney dolls that were released today he was charging a pay after success fee of $30 us so if he was able to check out the units for you successfully then you would just then PayPal him uh $30 per unit that you got most drops are considerably less it just depends on the total retail value and the provider that's providing um the auto check out but yeah like the free auto checkout stuff is super underrated like I don't think enough people utilize this um it
(19:15) doesn't ever guarantee that you're going to get a drop but it greatly increases your chances so if you ever want to attempt to go for something I would highly recommend that you utilize Auto checkout and then also attempt to go for manually if you're trying to get multiple units then you have a much higher chance again it doesn't guarantee it but it increases your chances substantially uh I just want to add something uh for the auto check out all the passs are USD not CAD correct yes because all these providers minus Vin are us-based
(19:57) so Joe said some kind of indication of a successful fail checkout would be nice so we could potentially Implement checkout logs in the server um I'll see if Vin is able to do that or not if it's the case then you'll actually see like the channel come through that you've been successful uh if not then of course you will uh get the emails as well that your order went through and then of course if there's anything any particular drop that's upcoming that you want ACO for you can request it in the ACL request section
(20:31) and then all of our providers will tell you if they're able to offer it or not you may have answered this question already but is that uh pay after success feed does that um charged in a perun basis or charge per checkout it's typically per unit basis there are some items that typically have lower resell value that they'll do it per checkout so like I've seen in the past some like the Stanley drops that are happening they may have a lower resale value profit potential and you're limited to two per person so then
(21:06) they'll charge you like a five or $10 fee per total checkout most of them are per unit though okay thanks definitely but yeah again the free stuff is super underrated because again you can utilize these Services completely for free increase your chances uh and not even have to be at your computer to attempt to get the units if you really want them um I use a good example of a couple months ago Mattel had a really large restock of some of their very profitable good items from the prior year so that included like your Monster
(21:44) High Jack Skellington and Sally doll combos uh the Hot Wheels RLC Mainline sets uh they had um a bunch of other dolls that were restocking Etc so I did was just give in the list of the things I was interested in in he said okay I'll run these for you I gave him I think 12 different profiles for myself and then I went to bed and I woke up and he had got a bunch of them for me and I didn't have to do nothing and then like the prior Monster High Adams Family drop that happened a few months ago I'm pretty sure he got me
(22:17) like 26 units total and I would have never been able to get those manually so any questions about ACO at all before we continue on here Jan I have a question yeah what's up where do you resell these Amazon it depends on the item so if it's like sneakers obviously you're going to be selling those on like eBay or stockx um most of the information is going to have some type of guide attached to it right so like for example um with the Nightmare Before Christmas tumblers that dropped last week uh if you look at our
(23:06) archive we have information on expected retail resale Etc and so things like this we're expecting to resell them on eBay so you have your listings on here we're expecting to sell them on eBay there are certainly some some limited drops that are happening that we can resell in places like Amazon uh but a lot of them are focused for like eBay stockx Etc so majority would be stockx and eBay resale opportunities right yeah unless like again some of these are going to be viable on Amazon but a lot of these products are not going to have any
(23:44) history on Amazon right now when they drop so like for example if you look at the Jack Skellington dolls um I had posted I had some extras that I just wanted to get rid of really quickly I posted them in our Marketplace uh when they first dropped that listing didn't exist on Amazon at all but right now on amazon.
(24:08) com they are currently a payout of about $245 us and the cost for these dolls I think were $120 $130 Canadian so like for things like this you can kind of estimate that they will be viable on Amazon but you just don't know for sure thanks um I don't say in eBay but when when there is mentioning that there is expected resell uh price like uh if you can go back to that free ACO as an example retail price was let's say 100 resale price uh 350 or whatever let's say if I if someone sells it on eBay does that account for eBay fees so when we're posting information
(24:55) like this we're going to have a couple different things that we're seeing so like this main section that you see here it comes from one of our lead providers that we have and they're going to be providing us information for the US market and then down here we always re-evaluate it for Canada and provide additional contexts for things like expected profits so for this one the retail price could have been upwards of $70 but it ended up being I think for like 35 or 40 so then we're expecting to sell it for this much and that means
(25:29) after fees we're expecting to profit about this much so if it says if it says that's what you're expecting to profit that's based on the analysis that we have right now of course that's never guaranteed markets can fluctuate yeah but we're doing everything that we can to get a realistic value on what they would look like thanks makes sense definitely any other questions for ACO at all before carry on uh I had a quick question about restocks like will they just hit the initial launch or will they keep it for like I don't know a couple hours
(26:11) afterwards for for ACO or for our restock mod for certain acos like I know I don't know Supreme sometimes will kind of restock intermittently on certain things or I guess it's really dependent on the item yeah a lot of it's going to be dependent on the item and also the provider so if you want them to run continuous restocks after the initial drop all you have to do is ask most of them will do it um a lot of them will do it by default for a lot of hype drops so like example like the Disney drop that was happening today uh a lot of them
(26:44) will do it by default because they know that people are going to not be able to check out properly get their orders canceled payments are going to not go through so they'll typically do it for a couple hours anyway uh but most of them you can just you can just ask and some of them will will monitor websites for you 247 as well and they'll also get on Q bypass as well which is great today by the way yes 100% we try and do everything that we can to be able to have success for these products any other questions about Auto
(27:22) checkout at all before we can uh carry on hey Jordan do you can you use the virtual credit cards for auto check out or does it just depend on the retailer it's all depend on the retailer um most of them you can but again keep in mind if you are utilizing a virtual credit card chances are it's not insured because it kind of Acts more like a Visa debit uh you have the actual money in there so if money is fleeced off of you due to fraud you'll probably be on the hook on the hook for that granted it'll probably be a lower amount but chances
(27:57) are you're not going to be insured with that uh you have check with your individual provider but I would imagine most cases you probably wouldn't be yeah the only one I have right now is with coo and I don't think they have any such Insurance yeah that's why I would always opt to use a credit card instead um I know with some people like you might only have one card and you might be saying to yourself well if this gets compromised I'm going to be screwed and I can't make my OA purchases whatever I'm doing um it sucks but you just kind
(28:24) of have to either work with it or just try to get an additional card that you justest use for like the auto checkout stuff okay thanks yeah for sure okay cool so then the next thing I wanted to discuss is our keyword Pinger so again this is a feature I believe is vastly underutilized in the server um but basically what it is is you can set your own personal keywords to monitor almost any channel in the server and when it detects that keyword it'll ping you within a second of that keyword being detected and it'll send
(29:04) you a DM directly of that message as well so an example that we had a little bit earlier today was a Lego Set uh it was this guy here so this one I got pinged from our bot that this was on sale in our deals Channel and then within you know a few a few seconds after I seen it I was able to bring it to everybody's attention and like this was was a um yeah MSRP of $65 and Amazon was sell it for $19 and a lot of these things you're not going to find if you're trying to look through these Channel channels manually
(29:39) we have way too many channels in here we have thousands of mess messages coming through every single day from Bots it's too hard to monitor manually that's why keywords come into play and are so helpful so uh for this one I'm just going to show you for an example of what happened uh where was that conversation here so it found it here so in our Amazon mid deals Channel it found the Lego drop at 1211 it pinged me it pinged Jaden it pinged one of our staff members and it also sent me a DM of this exact message and then I was able to notify
(30:16) people okay and it's a very simple system uh and again everybody has access to it everybody can use it everybody can set any keyword that you want and if you want to see the commands all you have to do is come into the command list and look under keyword Pinger and it tells you exactly how to use it so the command is uh sluser keyword and then it lets you set up a keyword and then user keyword delete you can delete it user keyword list displays your current list of products so I'm going to show you for an example if we
(30:51) come into the bot command's Channel we can start typing in user keyword user and we see the one come up with the Arcane symbol all you have to do is click on user keyword and then it asks you what keyword you want to monitor for uh with keywords you have to be kind of careful because they are very specific so like for example um what would be a good example if if like say you're if you're monitoring something like say Apple for example it's not going to just ping you for Apple branded products it's going to ping you for anything that has Apple in
(31:29) that text so you have like an apple scented candle that goes on sale in the channel That You're monitoring you're going to get pinged for that as well um if you get too specific with your keywords you might also miss some stuff so you kind have to play around with it uh you can also set negative keywords as well uh but you kind of have to play around with it for whatever works for the best the best mix for you compared to like how much junk you want to look at versus how much good products are coming through so for example if I want
(31:56) to set a keyword for Apple and I want to set it for one of our Amazon Deal channels I can start typing in the channel Amazon deals and I want to do Amazon Deal CA I do that I can then set negative keywords if I want so it'll minus paint it'll minus um candle or whatever you want for negative keywords and then it will not send you uh that ping if it has those keywords and then you hit enter and then it adds it to your list so in this case I already have it on my list so I don't need to add it again and then whenever the keyword apple is
(32:34) detected it'll then ping me and send me a message so whether it's from the bot or whether it's from a person typing it out in the channel it'll then ping you and send you a message so I type Apple pings me sends me a message immediately because this was a person message it looks like this but if it was a bot message it looks like this just like the message that comes through on the actual channel so again these are very powerful to use if you want to spend the time to set them up of course it's not required but they can be very effective to catch
(33:12) limited deals specific keyword deals um information about upcoming drops because we have a whole extens of news and feed channels that monitor hundreds of different websites Reddit Instagram Etc and so whenever information comes through there if you want to get pinged about a certain keyword you can and then you can look into it any questions about keywords at all can you put in a phrase or just one word you can put in a phrase but then it has to detect that specific phrase so like say uh if you want the phrase
(33:53) Jordan is cool it'll need to detect that entire text Al together for it to ping you it won't ping you on every separate word but like you can put in however things will show up so you can put in like an Asin if the as normally shows up in the ping you can put the website so if you want to get pinged for everything that comes through here for amazon.
(34:15) ca you can put on amazon.ca you'll get ping for everything I wouldn't recommend that you do that but you can uh you can put in things like uh percentages so if you want to get pinged for only things that are like 80% plus you can put in a keyword for 80% 81% 82% Etc and then you'll get pinged for all those discounts again you're going to have a lot of junk that comes through if you do that uh but you can do that if you want and flipper asks if you can put in multi- negative keywords yes you certainly can you can basically
(34:51) customize it to your own liking however you want but again like if you get too specific you might miss some things um so you just have to be very mindful of on how what keywords you're using what negative keywords just to get a healthy mix of good products and not junk products or junk pings so any questions about any of that at all and again I can tell you from experience like this is probably one of my personally most used features in the server because like I'm trying to actively find a bunch of stuff to give
(35:37) value to other people in the server so I use it a ton and it saves me a ton of time and a ton of headache otherwise I'd be looking through trying to look through skim through thousands of different things every single day so yeah you can set this up for deal monitors a2a monitors feeds uh basically any channel that you want if you if you want to get pinged every time we post something in the in the flips Channel you can set something like for my name and then you'll get dm'd every single time I post something or
(36:10) every every single time eBay is mentioned you'll get a direct message for that as well so you can kind of get kind of get fancy with how you how you utilize it looks like Nick is typing something in the chat here so we'll just wait here for a moment so what would you recommend as adding as keywords to get started if you're new to the flipping space really good question um it's kind of broad though because it's all dependent on what your focus is um and the kind of things you're interested in so like if you want I can show you my keyword list
(36:51) um so I can go user keyword list and you can see my personal keywords and if you want I can DM this to you and you can see all the keywords that I have um so like say if you're an Amazon Seller I would highly recommend that you set up a keyword for Lego for the Amazon deals Channel and the a2a monitors if you're a really big deal hunter you probably want to monitor all set discount percentages off of our deal monitors or um another really good one would be like things like catching errors from Red Flag deals that would be a very ideal keyword

(38:06) monitor everything here but these are just things that I'm personally interested in like one thing that we find a ton of stuff in is looking at autograft and sign stuff in certain channels so our Indigo scraper is really good to find sign books um we have like a vinyl feed Channel where it's monitoring multiple sources like Reddit and Twitter for new vinyl releases that are happening and so we monitor things like signed or special edition or limited we find a lot of good stuff in here um looking at the miscellaneous feed
(38:39) channel uh I think it's under miscellaneous we were monitoring things like the steelbooks uh subreddit uh steelbooks like specifically like DVD steelbooks those have a major collectible community and so if you want to monitor for steelbooks you can when a new steelbook is released um all kinds of stuff you can monitor the video game feeds for things like new release or exclusive or whatever we have a ton of different um ton of different feeds coming through all these channels to monitor a ton of different good
(39:12) sources for information uh X you said you just join late what did I what did I miss uh We've specifically discussed private restock monitors and our free auto checkout so far uh this is being recorded though so if you missed any of that you can certainly reference it back on the recording right now we're talking about the keyword Pinger uh but Nick says majority of this ends up on eBay except for the a2a stuff it all depends on what you're looking for so like the Lego feeds you can find like a lot of really good Lego sets if
(39:49) you look in Brick Hound this guy tracks every single product on Lego Lego Canada uh and pings this channel when they restock when they go out of stock and when items are on sale so if you're a big Lego seller you can get pinged either for everything or for just things that go on sale or for a certain set number and as soon as they come back in stock you can grab that and sell it on Amazon so it's not always eBay specific a lot of it can be eBay a lot of it can be Amazon a lot of it can be local stuff basically however you want to
(40:25) utilize it you can like for Brick Hound I have a keyword set for percent so that I get pinged every single time this channel is pinged with something that's on sale because Lego's super viable to flip especially on Amazon so anybody else have any questions about the keyword Pinger before we carry on here going one going twice cool we'll carry on uh the next guy I want to talk about is seller watch so seller watch is Amazon specific uh I'm going to I'll pull up the intro channel here and then I'll move my screen to pull up my thread
(41:18) so we don't expose anything pertinent uh but this is our own in-house bot of course that we've had for quite a while that monitors any Amazon storefront that you want for new products so whatever whenever the seller adds new products with their storefront you will be pinged and I'll show you an example of a ping right away of all that product details so you can very easily any sellers that you regularly storefront stock you can very easily keep tabs on them for whenever they stock new products right and so the
(41:54) reason why this is helpful is because you can go through and you can storefront stock a seller storefront once if they're good for you you can add them into seller watch and then you basically never have to look through them manually again which is a big thing that takes a lot of time right so if you find a viable storefront all you have to do is add them in it'll monitor for you and then every single day you can come in you can see their new products reverse search them to see if they are available somewhere else and then if
(42:21) they are viable buy them and add those guys to your Amazon catalog so you can monitor a lot of storefronts it is connected with your own personal Kea API key so it explains it up here there is quite a extensive walkthr you don't have to get that complicated I will break it down for you relatively easy but when you get started it will ask you to input your keep API key again this is your own private thread for full disclosure I can see the thread I'm the only one but I only look at it if you want me to I don't monitor anybody
(42:59) else's stuff I don't have the time so I only ever look at the thread if you have an issue and you actually want me to look at it I will ask you if I can look at it um your keep API key though I wouldn't really say is like super you have to be like super secure about it because you can generate a new one easily and even if you utilize all your tokens you're not going to be charge more for it but you just basically input your keep API key and then it connects your own account and if you have a standard keepa subscription

(44:53) for so this particular one is for ca for Canada so then you can very easily scroll through here very easily like I would scroll through here I would look for the ones if they have shitty looking keep graphs like this I wouldn't even bother looking at it because I know that these don't sell find the ones that look like they're viable do a quick Google search see if you find it cheaper for that price and then you know that you found a potentially good product that you can dig a little bit deeper into so I have personally replaced at
(45:23) least one virtual assistant utilizing this bot I have personally eight keepa accounts so these are my eight threads that I have here so I think right now we're monit between all eight of my accounts like 150 sellers total and me and rvas utilize it every single day and it's a very viable way to Source Products very efficiently if you have a solid list of sellers if you're putting crap sellers in here that don't produce good results then of course you're not going to have really good success with it but yeah the basic command list that you

(1:06:34) if it's Shopify and tell you if it is or not so very straightforward it says it checked it it said it identified as a Shopify website very basic so if you want to see if a website is Shopify specifically for your private restock monitors easy peasy and also in our uh retailer database all the retailers in there it does indicate if they are a Shopify site or not I believe yeah we have that in there so Shopify it tells you if a Shopify and it tells you if a restock monitor is available for that retailer so very easy to
(1:07:19) reference cool and then uh also one additional tool is the variant checker so this is pretty helpful if you want to see all the additional variants that are available on a product specifically if you're trying to like generate add to cart links um or if you want some Mass input data for your Bots specifically for Valor uh Mech and I believe cyber we can grab an item that has variance on it so I'll grab a sneaker here so this guy variant we just grab this guy come back up to the command list so we can run the variant URL so
(1:08:12) variant Shopify it should give us all the variant info so it gives us all the the the skew checkouts and the mass input data that we would need in the format for that corresponding bot so for cyber Mech and Valor and then this also checks the total stock available if it is available the main stock Checker that we use is another command as well so we have the main um Shopify stock Checker we utilize this a lot to see how many products are being released on launch uh because that's very important for us to determine if the secondary Market is
(1:08:54) going to have good potential or not not for example like the Stanley that were released today and yesterday so we have the main stock Checker which is a dollar sign stock and then the product URL and so if we look at the Stanley if I can find them here so you can see I was running the command stock and then the actual URL of the product and then it displayed for me at that time the URL or the the total stock of the product and gave us add to cart links as well so we can one click add to cart um but yeah quite often on

(1:10:48) you will quite often see people earning points in the server whether they're sharing their success or they're sharing leads Etc so we do have a point system in the server if you come into the Success shop it gives you a breakdown of what it is so that the Success shop under the support and resources we need to update that image uh but you can basically earn points just for being uh active in the community and sharing information sharing leads helping others out Etc and then you can utilize those points to get
(1:11:21) things like free membership increase roles uh there'll be specialty giveaways specifically for enhanced roles or for redeeming some of your points those types of things so if you want to earn some points the main thing that you can do is whenever you have success for things in the server you can post those images in the team success and then you'll automatically be given points for doing that so you'll see that I'll produce images indicating that it's been successful and you'll get some points for doing that um we regularly we have the
(1:11:57) scrambles that come into the general chat so the scrambles are seller terms and countries uh the seller terms can be found in our blog post on the send Deputy OA website for the seller whatever I named it uh the glossery ultimate Amazon reselling and business glossery so all these terms are in the database here and then every country in the world is on there as well so if you answer or if you successfully complete those scrambles if you're the first one to do it you get some points for doing that uh you can play Rock

(1:17:01) you input that it just gives you a very simple um visual indicator so if you ordered 10 you got five it turns red when you got the righted amount it turns green very simple so then you know that as you receive inventory you just input it in here if you're missing units then you know that stuff you have to follow up on so may not be exactly the solution that you're looking for but that can probably get you started anyway yeah so what I think well what I had in mind was that say if you were ordering um or attempting to order 10
(1:17:34) units and you only receive five just to to use the example that you were General example you were appealing to um and from a specific retailer and uh so would you try again to place an an order for another five from the same retailer or would you try to reverse Source it from another retailer would you jig your address um because I know uh most retailers have uh purchasing limits right so but if you wanted to get your inventory specifically from um one place and there was a limit of five units um per order and would you say um maybe a
(1:18:10) couple of hours later try to place an order for another five using a different credit card and would you jig your address like I'm just kind of get a trying to get a sense of a general process so in my opinion if you have really low restrictions for inventory purchases most of the time it's probably not going to be worth it overall to spend that much time attempting to do it for Amazon unless your profit potential is just extremely high um most retailers like say if you have like your Walmarts your London Drugs Etc they have purchase limits but
(1:18:42) you can easily purchase back toback so those are no issues you just Place back toback orders if you're consistently getting canceled or if they have like hard limits where you you order this and you can't order anymore for me personally I probably would either try to store somewhere else or I would look for different asence because it's just going to take too much time to attempt to buy that inventory and then like all of a sudden you're you're turning a task to order inventory that should take like say one to five
(1:19:09) minutes into a like 10 to 30 minute process and when there's hundreds of thousands of asens that you can look through that are profitable in my opinion it's just not worth it to spend time on the stuff that becomes such a headache okay that's more so giving me a sense of uh the general process so if you were wanting to place an order for the maximum number of units of a particular skew from a certain retailer and you tried again and then the order got cancelled and say you tried to you know a third time and the result was the same
(1:19:44) um then would your general recommendation depending on the retailer just be to Pivot to another ASN safe that you would Source from the same uh retailer perhaps a different one and if the process ended up being the same say uh you were order the maximum number of units and then the second time you did the same and it got canceled in the third time and so on that's kind of when you would consider um trying a source from uh another retailer yeah so like if I never bought from that retailer before and my first order that I placed with
(1:20:15) them got cancelled and I got no indication why like if I get the email it says you've been identified as a reseller we don't sell to you kick rocks I'm be okay I just won't even bother with them anymore I'll just not waste my time try and find it somewhere else or try to find a different product um if they cancel and they don't actually tell me a reason I will almost always try to contact them if they're like a small retailer I'll probably call them and a lot of the time they will cancel especially initial large orders because
(1:20:43) they have concerns of fraud so in that case I'll contact them either by phone or by email try to get sorted if not then if again it gets canceled I will first again try to find that inventory somewhere else at a retailer I'm not going to have issues with or I'll just continue on to the next product just like you mentioned um I suspect the answer to this question is probably no but that the retailer database that you mentioned uh in the server available through the guide book um are those uh those retailers do they uh are they also
(1:21:17) vetted for sort of ease of ordering um in as one Criterion and by ease of ordering I mean um that from those retailers generally speaking it would be easier to say to to do backtack checkouts as you know as opposed to having multiple order cancellations when you attempt to do back-to-back checkouts as the case may be to an extent like not all specifically um but like if we again those are all retailers that we've used for our leads lists so if as anybody's everever reported that they've had issues with a retailer like consistently
(1:21:50) canceling orders Etc then we remove them so like the most recent example we had was like Cabellas they were consistently counseling orders for people they're no longer in that database so to an extent but not all specifically okay so it can be a factor then okay that's good to know for sure uh Nick said would you mind walking through maybe a recent flip that was dropped a good one and maybe one you personally would have passed on if we can walk through the message the info provided in the due diligence we should
(1:22:19) look at before deciding to buy or not 100% so the very first thing like if you've never sold on like somewhere like eBay I would highly recommend that you look through the eBay intro I believe it's a video yeah I made a video uh I don't remember how long it is it's been a while since I made this 50 minutes content is way too long but it it gives you a full walkthrough on how like vet products how to list stuff on eBay Etc and then there's also like a shorter a shorter guide here on how you can evaluate the eBay Market an actual
(1:22:50) written guide so I'd highly encourage that you look through that info first um as we're looking through the drops so the main thing that I would say is pay attention to the main channels uh yeah you said classic video sometimes they go too too damn long so I would recommend paying attention to the main channels specifically if you're looking for the best opportunities so the drops and reminders category and the important category or if you're looking for like sneakers specifically sneakers tickets tickets specifically Etc but for just looking at
(1:23:25) like say uh eBay General flip potential look at those categories and the first thing that you're going to see are drop Channel indicators so they're they're going to have little dots next to them indicating how much profit potential and how much risk those items have so if you just take a quick peek in the daily schedule it'll tell you in here what those guys mean so so it'll tell you if it's white it's informational only red low profit yellow medium profit uh green higher profit so that tells you almost immediately if something is high risk or
(1:24:05) not and higher profit or not some people they only want to look at stuff that is like just green lit good to go some people want to take risks on other things so if they have a mixture of colors that means that things are unsure or there may be different um different variations are being released and different variations have different profit potential so like before the Stanley drop indicator I believe we just had yellow because we were unsure on how much stock was being released if it's going to be a raffle if it's going to be
(1:24:38) a regular drop Etc then the first drop happened we ran the stock they released a ton of stock like 85,000 units in the US way too much they started selling way too slow so we updated the channel accordingly so now it's yellow and red so much lower profit potential and be a little bit more cautious with proceeding with it right um we always try to provide as much information as we can for products so that you can see everything you need to make a decision but at the end of the day it's still up to you to vet the
(1:25:13) information that's there for yourself and if you want to purchase it so if we look at say the Stanley for example this one we try and provide as much info as we can this is the original post from our lead provider this is us information what's coming from our lead provider and then when we have additional information for Canada we will then provide it so we had additional information for Canada down here then I provided an extensive guide uh detailing what's happening okay we mentioned that we weren't sure if it's

(1:26:55) ca and if you're unaware on eBay you can check what items have previously sold for so when we typically look at eBay and we type in a standard keywords this is what it looks like we see how many are listed we see what they're listed for and um yeah we can't really determine the market based on listed price because people can list products for whatever they want right what we want to look at is how much stuff is actually selling for so we click on the sold filter down here from there we can actually see when products are selling
(1:27:35) and how much they're actually selling for so this can give us actual real data and we can make a determination on whether or not it's going to be profitable for us right so the first thing that we look at is okay well we can see how many are sold so there's 18 sold under this keyword set and under this keyword set I think there's a ton more that are listed so there's 171 listed not all of them are going to be the full set like some of them may be a mismatch with keywords and like this one is not the this set so obviously we have
(1:28:05) some mismatches in there but we have a lot of listed products compared to the amount of solds that we have so when you're when we're talk when we talk about sell through rate that's kind of what we're looking at right we're seeing how many have sold versus how many are listed because if we have a higher ratio of sold units compared to how many are listed that typically means that the Market's moving quicker and we can expect to move through our inventory at a a quicker pace so like say if we have 100 units that are listed 100 units that are sold
(1:28:38) that means that 100 units have sold in the last three months so that means that if everything is equal and we have a good listing and we're matching kind of market value we can reasonably expect to sell through all the units that we have in 3 months time or less if we have 50 that are sold and 100 that are listed that's a 50% sell through rate so again if everything is equal we can reasonably expect to sell through our inventory in about or 50% of our inventory in about that three-month period because amount the amount sold
(1:29:11) here is always the last three months right so very relatively basic those are the things that we're looking at and so we want to see generally speaking a healthy sold listed and a good consistent selling price and also we typically take a look at the current listed as well because if we see uh products that are consistently coming down in price that are not auctions because auctions like we we don't know what that's going to go to but like buy it now or what auctions are currently at if we see the market just declining
(1:29:45) rapidly um or like say we're expecting this to sell for like $800 but all the lists are at $400 then we're going to know that we're probably not going to be able to sell it for the $800 we expecting because everybody else is selling them for four right so that's how we evaluate the eBay Market again it's mentioned all directly in here as well um for sneakers if we're looking at sneakers sneakers is very straightforward I'm just going to open up stockx on my other screen here uh because I need to log in so just give me
(1:30:17) a second here stockx makes our life super easy if you're trying to analyze sneakers eBay is still kind of usually preferred to sell sneakers if you can first because you can pre-sell them before you have them in your hand and it is a lower fee but uh we can definitely get good Market data directly from stockx so we look at stockx if you making a free account login what we can do is we can click on view Market data and it literally shows us all the sizes that have sold and what they have sold for let me move all this crap
(1:30:58) here so it tells us when they sold the exact time they sold and what they sold for so super easy to evaluate the market for sneakers so typically when we're looking at a sneaker release for example um we we will see Market data right now that's not always reflective on what it's going to be after the sneakers actually release so let's look at the Verdes right for example so right now this is being provided by one of our providers provider So This Is Us data when it comes closer to the drop we will give Canadian data for all the drops that are
(1:31:38) viable so everything that's green we will have Canadian info in here uh but right now the retail price for these guys uh let's drop it in two days is going to be $130 us so $130 US USD to canadi Ian is about $176 Canadian uh the estimated resale price on these guys right now after the release is going to be300 to $350 us so we can look at the stockx market and we can see right now it is higher than the current estimates we see shoes selling for upwards of almost $900 right and that's not uncommon for releases before they get released
(1:32:23) because the full General stock is not available Limited stock is available so simple supply and demand so because more limited stock is available uh typically we're going to have a higher Sol price but we can gauge some good things off of this we can see that even before the full public stock release these are selling a lot of units every single day like we've seen a ton of units sell today on the 17th so that means that this one this has demand and then two it's probably going to mean that we're not going to
(1:32:54) see major price fluctuations once the General stock is released depending on stock counts right so usually if we see things that are green like this they will tend to have good stock counts compared to the demand and we typically won't see massive price decreases immediately after release so like with these guys right now your average Market I would say is like probably like around to $700 Canadian I would probably estimate after the general release we'd probably estimate selling good bigger sizes we're probably going to be selling
(1:33:33) them for between $500 to $600 because we're going to definitely see some decrease when the regular stock is released uh but it shouldn't be massive because we already see a very very high demand for these shoes so yeah like that's all the data that we're looking at when we're analyzing this kind of stuff and then we try to pump that information into the corresponding channels as much as we can so you can make good purchasing decisions so like one that I had purchased recently I did purchase the uh Disney dolls I was able to get a Alice
(1:34:09) and a Anastasia with the bypass links that VIN had provided here because I looked at the data I see that they're selling for consistently $5 $600 I know what our buy cost is our buy cost ended up being a little bit higher than I was expecting for the the pair but based on everything that I could see I'm comfortable with purchasing that I'm comfortable that I'm able to sell it and make a profit I think the atlas dolls are going to be more profitable because they were more close to the price we were expecting whereas with the double the doubles were

(1:35:22) providers so like we we have a channel here called Frieza flips we have a provider called Frieza uh who provides product leads consistently and then we take this information we pull up the stuff that looks good we vet it for Canada and then we put it in the important channels for you guys right so like I don't know probably like 1 to 10% of the stuff that you see in these channels we end up presenting to everybody else because a lot of the stuff you either can't get in Canada or it's too expensive in Canada Etc so we
(1:35:52) just don't bring it to anybody's attention so the stuff that you see in the important channels is typically pretty heavily vetted information that is typically going to be as profitable as it can be um so you don't have to go like too too deep into research um we try and keep all the out of these channels uh but of course it's still always your mileage your mileage your mileage may vary and you still have to do your own research of course but we try and do most of the heavy lifting for you uh Evan asked do you think Carmella
(1:36:32) would be receptive to holding a group call on how to do proper bookkeeping have you ever considered tasking someone perhaps a VA with timestamping past group calls in the server um for the group call for bookkeeping that is on the books to do um I've actually asked Carmela to do like a full essentially like course with bookkeeping uh she was in busy season then it had summer so I will follow up with her to see when we can do that because I think that'd be very helpful um because bookkeeping is not super straightforward

(1:38:12) you can upload uh the call as a private video and then you can enable the app and it'll do a live transcription it's not really the same thing as um timestamping but it gives you a kind of idea of what you can whittle Whittle the text down to into time stamps yeah I think that'd be super helpful because then you don't have to watch a 4 hour long video and sit there and try to take notes uh yeah it's very painstaking I know it just was a suggestion but um could you DM that to me and I will look into it um because I

(1:39:10) year or so to help with OA and ra we recommend that use these leads as a spring board for storefront stalking and other sourcing methods in addition to periodically checking the leads for viability sorry for all the questions no no no problem not a big deal yes 100% I think looking through past leads is extremely viable for sourcing for Amazon something that we do all the time uh if you haven't yet I would highly recommend that you build your own product database which we have a template for here basically just adjust all your lists to
(1:39:41) match the same format or adjust this list to match the format that you want then you can put everything in here and then you have a very simple filter where you can filter through data wherever you want so like you can filter through keywords in the product in your notes by the supplier you can put uh keepo charts right over here so like by default the Canada one has a US keeper chart us will have Canadian keeper chart but you can change that to Canada if you want very simply just by changing the domain up here from Comm to ca so you can very
(1:40:17) easily see if the products are viable or if they look like they're selling good today and then yes um if they were once viable leads then chances are you're going to have sellers on those leads that know what they're doing and they're going to be viable to store from stock 100% and two if you build a database uh if you ever identify like a sale like for example uh posted earlier today about the petmart sale happening if you have I don't know a dozen or two dozen or a 100 products that you previously had vetted from PetSmart you can come in
(1:40:50) here you can type in supplier PetSmart and you can very easily see all your stuff that you previously vetted from PetSmart and then relook up those products you'll have your Amazon URL and your Source URL and you can very easily see if those are viable today again so I think it's a super viable method we don't have Pet Smart in here but if you look up iherb we can see IH herb for example yeah so what I did was uh because I had subscribed to some of your leads list before as I just used those as a template and then just reproduced
(1:41:19) it into my own kind of Master list so I guess what I could just do is export that into to that the spreadsheet that you're showing now and that way it will be make it more searchable I mean you can search it in a standard Google sheet anyway but it's it's a lot less um uh in a standard sheet it's it's a lot more difficult to read that way but with the the product data spreadsheet that you're looking at right now it would be much more organized because it would open it up in a separate sheet right yeah and you can do it anyway you can literally
(1:41:47) just use a regular Google sheet if you'd like and look through just like you mentioned it doesn't have to be fancy I just I I like efficiency so I build this for me and my team and then I share it with everybody but you can do it anyway don't over complicate it but yes I think if you have a decent sized database of products that were already previously vetted you have a massive head start on most people that are just getting started because most people don't know where to look for products where you already have a massive reference on
(1:42:13) where you can start looking yeah and I had tried when I first started getting into o and ra a little bit before I temporarily pivoted to to use books um I did the manual sourcing which was you know the the method that uh what was it called the aisle method that g Chris Grant calls it where you just pull up all the products on a product page you choose a particular aisle whether it's health and beauty or um you know Sports and Outdoor and you start scanning every single item or manually searching them and I wasn't
(1:42:41) getting anywhere and that was the basis for exploring a leads list yeah and like stuff like that I think is tough I think to do methods like that efficiently you already have to be you already have to have experience with sourcing in order to do that because like realistically you're going to to do that efficiently you're going to have to be able to cherry pick products otherwise you're just going to be pulling out your hair like you literally have to look through everything and I get it that's part of the process of
(1:43:07) learning but like to do a manual sourcing like that I don't personally like to do that because I want to pull my hair out because it's just like you have to look through so much stuff and you have such a low hit rate whereas if you are already experienced and you can like really cherry pick stuff out and you have a much higher hit rate like that like just like looking through used books as you do it more and more and more you get more experience you can then basically levitate to the stuff that's going to be more profitable
(1:43:33) almost with muscle memory and even if you've never seen the book before you're like oh that I know that's going to be profitable and it's much more likely to be profitable same thing with OA um so to do the more complicated methods like that I think you already have to have the experience to be to have actual success with it yeah it's like that idea of developing the eye for what you're doing and then your only way you're going to do that is through experience 100% uh Mike said so it' be a good idea to get into selling shoes if You' like

(1:44:39) more selective versus prior years so again we do a lot of the heavy lifting to get started and sneakers is pretty basic if you're not wanting to get into like Bing if you just want want to cop a pair here and there you can literally just enter Raffles uh enter the sneakers drops try to check one out use ACO Etc like you don't have to try and get into Bing and try to try to cop 20 30 40 plus pairs at a time uh if you just want to try and grab one or two I think that's a great way to start like this guy here is going to be releasing
(1:45:12) on the sneakers app so that's a us specific app and some skate shops so with sneakers though like we have guides in the sneakers category of the get book on how to get the sneakers app in Canada because you have to do a little bit of the lack of better words to get it um and then all you have to do is just when the drop happens enter and then you either win or you lose and the more drops you enter in on sneakers it seems to be that the more the more you enter the more likelihood you're going to be to win those drops

(1:49:36) support is absolute there's nothing here for Canadians I'm like this this sucks and like I knew like very like I knew good like decent information for eBay I had dabbled in for very long time I knew Amazon extensively so I was like we can do this better and then this whole thing started yeah I definitely know I definitely know like there's definitely um different calibers of groups out there um as far as I know like I've seen a couple Canadian ones but I believe most of the Canadian ones are from what I've heard
(1:50:10) they have died off a little bit like I believe like there was like am notified Canada I heard that's relatively inactive and other oh it's gone now it's merged with the states that's actually the one that I I'm in now okay and then a lot of the other ones uh I only know of like one or two more but I believe they are primarily sneaker focused as far as I'm aware yeah I know it's good because it it seems more holistic like you can only it's very risky to just hedge it all into one thing whereas this seems a lot more Diversified and and well

(2:03:41) people attempt to over complicate it a bit and attempt to want to find a am miracal solution to do something that either won't happen doesn't exist or too expensive especially at those stages so I think for most sellers honestly I would say stop worrying about everything else and learn how to do the process because that's that's the biggest thing I understand that you may not want to do that bookkeeping process I understand it's a pain in the ass I understand that it can be complicated but I think if you are scaling an actual real business it's
(2:04:18) extremely important for you to know the fundamentals and be able to do it yourself without any automation be able to basically do it almost to the point of writing it out in a hand Ledger but like using like QuickBooks um you should be able to actually do it and understand how it works because that's going to save your ass when you run into problems when your bookkeeper can't figure out then you're actually going to be a to know how to do it and you're not going to just sit there throw your hands up and be like I don't know what the
(2:04:42) to do you're going to actually know what to do um but like as a new seller the only tool that you really need would be an accounting software so something either like zero or QuickBooks um you don't need anything else that's it period other things like a2x can help because it can import your Amazon transactions automatically for you but it's not needed for those that are smaller if you want to utilize something like a2x you can do something like flipper does in the server buy it for a month do everything all at once and then
(2:05:20) cancel it and then you only need to pay for it for one month every every year you have to do a lot of bookkeeping in a short period of time but you can do that besides that like you don't you don't need anything else man like keep track of your receipts um ideally you should digitize them in some way I prefer Hub do but you can put them in a Google drive folder you can scan them to your computer you can put them in Evernote whatever you want just ideally you should digitize them because especially with the thermal
(2:05:48) receipts they're gonna get faded you're going to lose them that's going to be a lot do you like for your for your order emails just forward it to the QuickBooks account or the Hub do email or whatever correct so yeah I use hubdoc so we I just forward it automatically to like our hubdoc email and then it automatically gets uploaded and extracts the data for us yeah yes but yeah besides that like yeah you don't really need much else you don't have to you don't have to over complicate you don't have to make it super expensive either I know like um
(2:06:20) one of the guys in the server Mike had mentioned and I want to talk to him about it but he had mentioned his accountant uses some type of AI that does his books Recon reconciliation automatically for him it just does it and it's entirely accurate which I'm super skep skeptical about but if it works like I'd be interested in learning about that but again typically when things like that exist especially early on they are stupidly expensive but yeah besides what we had mentioned I do obviously want to also F tune and
(2:07:09) optimize some of the categories that we already have to provide as much valuable information in each individual category so like for example for a while um when we first introduced it our ticket category was majorly lacking I knew it but we didn't have the resources available to provide a lot of good information we had one ticket provider um didn't provide a ton of information got a new ticket provider choke has been amazing been able to provide a really good information for tickets basically has given me like a PhD and ticket

(2:21:53) the app scanning with the app yeah yeah so if you're scanning with the app or you're on the on screen calculator if you're just seeing that current VSR which is all that you're going to see on the seller seller amp it'll give you just a preliminary indication because of course it's only one data point among many um that it's something you could focus on and then you would just probe further by looking into the keepa charts or specifically that um offers subtab under the data tab of course when you're filtering it for
(2:22:20) Prime and historical offer yeah like Sellar amp obviously Sellar amp is not the best for scanning books like scoutly is designed to scan books that's how that's where they come from so it is a much better platform to scan through volumes of products I think cell ramp is still viable to scan products for uh ra but like here let me just find a good product example here because we see the exact same information on the online app as we do in the uh mobile app these are like all best sellers hold on I'm just going to
(2:22:56) pull up a random product one second let's look at one from 2023 so I always always preach that your estimated sales on s app should never be never be used um it's not a good metric to utilize however that stat compared to most other apps that exist is better than most because Sellar amp is connected directly to keepa so let me pull up this guy for example I don't even know if this guy sells yes it does a little bit so when we look at the estimated sales I would never buy a product based on that data I would never
(2:23:45) make my purchasing decisions based on that data but like say you're on the app you can use that to get a initial indication if a product is selling assuming it's not a suppressed sales rank item um because typically speaking Kea is pulling the data from the average sold like usually in this case it's not but usually like your average sold over the last 90 days uh where it says 18 there will be very similar to what you see here and this case is different but usually it's very similar and it's because I know seller amp is actually
(2:24:19) directly connected to keep they're getting their data points directly from keepa so usually when you pull up the app and you see oh it actually sells some per month you actually know if it's not a variation it probably actually sells some units per month and that's worth digging a little bit deeper into and of course then you can have your your keepa chart right there too but like for historical BSR I know like there's the ranks and prices so then yeah you can like go like at 30 your average 30 average 90 average 180

(2:41:30) that they have for seller watch stats included so very easy for me to add up I can see all the leads with seller watch I see all their leads with Costco manual sourcing ta and then our time tracking software when they clock in they have individual projects that they clock into so ta Etc so that I can very easily see he worked this many hours for this project and then it automatically calculates how many leads uh per hour he produces right and my minimum threshold is I I guess that means I guess that means I need to do that for myself and
(2:42:02) see what works the best and then try different methods and see in the number of hours I spend how many leads I generate and yeah if you don't want to lie to yourself it's very good but most people aren't going to do that because most of us want to lie to ourselves a lot of us think we're a lot better than what we are uh but so I try to do this because I want it as raw and as unbiased as possible and this is the only way to do it give real data so yeah so like with each person usually when they start they put a ton of time in the store
(2:42:33) from stocking because that's how they start and by default they almost always produce more leads per hour of storefront stocking and then they start getting introduced to other methods so I I'll introduce somebody to say uh Sellar watch when they first get introduced to solar watch uh they'll produce like say s leads per hour and I'm like okay well what's happening so you've been doing this method for like a month showed you my training materials set you up with a good set of sellers so why is this happening like this I need to find out
(2:43:03) why because I know it can be viable but either that they're not doing it efficiently uh the sellers that they have in their list are no longer good and we need to adjust them or something else is happening and so we have the data so I need to find out why do they ever add the add storefronts to stock themselves or is that usually provided or a mix of what you you they asked to add these based on a recommendation and you guys kind of say yeah that makes sense for the statch threads that they are in they manage their own storefronts
(2:43:38) so like I have control to add or remove them in case we ever fire them uh but if they ever want to add or remove a seller they just tell me and I do it um but I actively want them to manage their own storefront so like if the seller is not not not producing results you should remove it I don't want to do that because I don't want to spend time trying to manage other people's right and I try to give employees as much control and independ ability as as they can I think people do better that way um but I also want to be realistic
(2:44:08) with expectations and what they're doing right so yeah that's how we break it down and then we find out why you're doing so much better in a certain method why you're doing so much worse in another method and like I found for example for storefront stocking I've talked to some of my employees before where it's like okay they're established they've been with me for three four five six plus months they've been doing storefront stocking a lot they have a lot of hours behind it uh there's no reason why their production should be this low so I'm

(2:45:38) no reason why we should look into it uh another thing is we can speed things up by using shortcuts I've seen uh a lot of employees uh when they're pulling up things on Amazon they click the button open it up come back open up another one Etc doesn't seem like it saves a lot of time but when you're looking at thousands of products a day which all of my employees are just holding down just holding down control and hitting that button so it opens up a new tab by itself without going to that screen saves a ton of
(2:46:13) time over the course of a month makes them makes them a lot more efficient for doing almost nothing makes sense and then if we see a product like looks potentially viable we don't need to waste time to go into Amazon and try to vet it immediately because when we open up an Amazon page we have to have seller amp load we have to have keep a load we have to try and vet this information which takes a little bit of time what we can do instead is before we even do that hit the Google search see if we can find something at our Max cost
(2:46:44) or with around our Max cost right away so I can hit Google I can try and see right away am I around that 550 Mark anywhere nowhere isn't even close to that cool it's that's a product I don't even need to waste my time trying to go into any deeper so vetting a product within a few seconds versus 30 seconds to a minute and guarantee you he's probably doing a mix of all these things which is decreasing his efficiencies interesting yeah I mean it's a smart process that even Googling you don't want to spend 20 minutes see

(2:47:56) couple really bad months and so I know he had bad months because I saw his stats we discussed it previously but I know that he had that because he had some things going on at home and I don't need to know what it is I know he had some going on and it happens so he was still getting like close to where I needed him to be it's not like he just completely fell off the cliff but he was struggling he did consistently well he was struggling we saw that this month he was picking it back up right that's why I do totals for the last six months

(3:11:44) expectation that they can do stuff that you can't do and I think that's very much the wrong way to look at it because if you 100% it's going to come down to you're going to have to train a VA to do what you want them to do you can't expect them to come to you already fully able to do what you want especially in Amazon Canada because it's very it's a different game sourcing in Canada than it is the US um so realistically like there's a couple different ways you can look at it whether like number one is you have absolutely
(3:12:20) no no time to do anything else you're always consistently working sourcing Etc and you could be spending your time better doing additional tasks um whatever that may be or if you're not able to Source enough for yourself so that's number one uh number two is if you just believe that you want to buy back your time in some capacity so that you can have a little bit more leisure time so you don't have to work as much so it just depends on what you value each of those things at uh to determine on whether on what threshhold you
(3:12:55) believe it's viable or whether you should hire VA so like got it for example so sorry no sorry go ahead no I was just you know when you say that you have to train them right and um you know on five word when you go let's say you you find a lot of people who say that they know Amazon and FBA and you know all of that so is it like do you also find VA who know this game from the GetGo and you know would be willing to work for you maybe for a higher P but part time for a few hours so I may have different expectations than some
(3:13:45) other people because again we're producing a very high volume amount of OA leads uh but I I've hired I don't know at this point probably 30 35 vas since I've been working with Amazon I have never once I I've never once found somebody come to me that I would consider proficient in sourcing okay that are these mostly from pH sorry what was that mostly from phili being jobs every single one has been yes okay so some have had different experiences than others some have been better some have been quicker to pick things up than others for sure
(3:14:35) uh some have had come come to us with prior experience and like you could see in some aspects that had helped them learn quicker but they were still not anywhere near where I would want them to be off the Hop I've always always had to train them in some capacity they've all learned bad habits they didn't know how to Source Amazon Canada properly they couldn't vet uh leads in Canada properly they didn't know how to look at variation products properly whatever it may be right or they only knew one sourcy method whatever um not to say
(3:15:06) that you couldn't find a v like a VA that's already trained that could produce enough for yourself but I still think like you could be potentially let down if you're not able to put them in the direction of what what you're wanting them to do yeah you know and and there has to be like some level of training that has to be provided so that you are also confident that things are done exactly the same way as you intend them to um but it's it's much easier if you know somebody knows the basics of it yeah um but I also think like
(3:15:47) so number one if you've never hired a VA before I would highly recommend that you look in our guides and resources so if you look in okay uh the support and resources section there's a channel called guides and resources so if you open that guy up you can click on any Link in there that will take you to our gitbook and so our GI book looks like this and so it has all of our prior calls that we've had it has a bunch of guides and resources Etc uh under the Amazon section under the Amazon section Amazon guides there is a
(3:16:22) guide that says the effective guide to hiring a VA I would highly recommend if you've never hired a VA before to read this it's 41 pages long but it walks through everything on where you should find vas what you should pay them what they can do for you uh what kind of bonuses you should give them how to onboard an employee how to manage an employee how to fire an employee it gives you it gives you a lot it took me a long time it took me a long time to write this um yeah so it gives you almost everything short of like our
(3:17:04) exact training program that we put our Vaas through because I'm not going to give you my methods on like how I train people you got to develop your own training but short of that it gives you basically everything that's awesome um yeah I I have had some experience for just some part-time work um unrelated to Amazon but uh I I totally appreciate this because I you know I had to do a write up as well and it you cannot miss a step otherwise you know things will things will not happen the way you would like so this is great right but I
(3:17:43) also like don't think you should approach it like with anything in business business in general with the expectation of being perfect um because I think if you approach it with that attitude you're probably never going to get things done and also with an employee like you had mentioned that you need to train somebody because you you need them to be able to do what you intend for them to do which I agree but you should also I believe have realistic expectations for an employee so like just because you can say produce
(3:18:17) 20 OA leads in a single hour just per se um you should not expect an employee to do that because it's not their business they don't care about your business really at all they're here for a paycheck that's realistically how it is um right and they don't take the risk they they don't reap the reward they're here for a paycheck to support their family it doesn't mean that they can't be a viable employee but you need to set realistic expectations for them right so like I think I think in general when you have an employe after they've
(3:18:55) been fully trained on what you want them to do after like say about like the three-month Mark three to six months you should reasonably expect them to do not very like not the overly complicated tasks about 50 to 70% as efficient as you can got it and if you have actual realistic expectations then I think your relationships with your employees are going to be a lot healthier because if you have very unrealistic expectations and they're not producing you're just going to be turning through vas you're going to be continuously firing them
(3:19:34) because they're not meeting your unrealistic expectations right yeah right yeah no I'm going to go through this I think you know I'm also interested in knowing the incentive structure and you know as you say keeping them you know motivated to um you know do the work um that's required in a in a know in the getting the right outcomes from that engagement right so yeah I think for me personally um there's a lot for me to learn on managing the vas um you know and um yeah I need to go through this first yeah and like I say at the start
(3:20:30) of this guide um where do I say it I think I say it in here I mentioned in here somewhere that this is not meant to give you like this is not meant for you to like copy my exact processes which I mean you can if you you want but it's to give you inspiration of how to do things yourself and a base to start right because like everybody's going to have different management styles different experience different communication skills Etc so it doesn't mean you need to copy exactly what I do it just means that like this

(3:28:56) don't talk to anybody else about this um so I think humans by default need some form of interaction and a lot of people like not everybody's like always super self motivating it's just kind of how a lot of people are so to have basically somebody to hold you accountable or to grow in scale with I think can be super valuable yeah cuz I mean yeah you can get the Amazon payout every two weeks and or every day and be like yeah okay money more it's me but it's always nice to see other people being like oh you did a great job how did you do that and
(3:29:31) you know that that that human aspect of being recognized yeah I I agree 100% with that too Jay um you know this isn't like a zero some game and uh you know everyone can you know succeed at the same time so um you know thanks to Jordan and you know others in the community who who have been like very helpful cuz it's good to like talk to a person I feel this is the biggest um I would say lacking point in in Amazon FBA at least until this far that I have found as compared to likees on the other you know um businesses um
(3:30:14) that um I have encounter let's say real estate or others right like you can talk to a physical person um you know meet people you know talk to them pick up the phone do his stuff but Amazon until this while um you know has been more like you know you interact through chats through Facebook groups and all of that so you don't until you talk to a person or you know get on these calls like this um you know it feels really difficult to really connect and you know feel motivated that there are others as well who are you
(3:30:51) know trying to do the same thing that you want to do 100% I've very early on I've when I first started I talked to everybody that I knew about what I was doing because I was like I want somebody to do this with me because like I know it'd be so much more fun if I had something to do it with me in the beginning yeah like I try to convinced my best friend extensively for like a year to like go into business with me with Amazon and he wouldn't do it and then after like a after like a couple years he's like oh like this is
(3:31:26) like working and like maybe like I should consider doing this now I'm like well it's kind of late now like I've already built this thing like you'd have to pay me like too much money to like just take half my business I wanted you to come do this with me yeah yeah that's funny did he eventually pay or not no no um I've had I've so with him like he never started but I've talked to many people in my life about what I do or people just ask me and I've helped many people that I know get started walk them through process more or less hold of
(3:32:02) their hand and only one person that I've talked to has ever stuck with it and so it's it's kind of demotivating because I spend this time talking to people helping them giving my time to them for free and then at the end of the day they just kind of piss it away like they try it for a little bit and then it's like nah I'm not going to do this anymore so I'm like ah I'm kind of sick of doing that yeah right and yeah certainly get overwhelming you know in the beginning for sure until you make the first sale and you know the the
(3:32:37) $400,000 whatever it is 100% like the thing is like with the people that I'm close with that I helped it was a lot different versus like say somebody just starting by themselves with no resources because I was able to walk them through everything basically tell them everything's going to be okay this is what you need to do this is how you do this um walk through the entire process have access to my facilities to prep and back don't need to like pay for shipping supplies and or just need to pay for like the stuff that you use um so
(3:33:10) made it extremely easy which I think may have been a fault because maybe they didn't want it enough to endure the little effort it took because like even somebody like um a friend of mine he had started with Amazon cuz like we were just out fishing one day he was asking me about what I do cuz he had talked to me about it before and I was giving him a breakdown cuz he asked me I I I never really brought it up to somebody else unless they asked me because I feel like like somebody trying to like be like a door to door salesman like hey come do
(3:33:42) this um so he would ask me we're fishing talk about it I said well that sounds really interesting I want to see like you think you could help me so we went back to his house that day I showed him basically how to get started and he did and he sold on Amazon for an entire year and he was really enjoying it the problem was is he was lazy so he had very very low expenses and he got to the point very quickly like I think it was like two to three months he quit his job which I told him not to because he was really yeah he was basically just
(3:34:20) profiting enough to cover his expenses every month and he's like well I don't need anything additional on top of my expenses I'm going to quit I'm like you shouldn't do that like you're going to have problems if you're just covering your $2,000 a month worth of expenses and he's like no I'll be fine so he did that the other issue was as he would work until he basically made enough money to cover his expenses and then he wouldn't work for the rest of the month so so he would work for like I don't know 10 20ish hours first week and he
(3:34:50) wouldn't do anything for the rest of the month and so when it came time to you know tax using he never put anything away for taxes and he had to all of a sudden pay an accountant he had to pay taxes on his income he had to pay GST and PST and he never put that money away even though I told him to even though I told him that he shouldn't quit and all a sudden he's like I I'm way too overwhelmed I'm I'm gonna get the sorted I'm gonna get rid of everything I'm not goingon to do it anymore so okay man like yeah you had like the very
(3:35:24) smallest amount of turbulence and immediately gave up so like he wouldn't have lasted long anyway but like if he just had like a little bit more motivation to not do the bare minimum he could have done so much better but he was somebody that just basically all stole all the money from him so too bad but yeah more or less like he was he was able to do Amazon for a year after his stress and being able to pay the that he had from the inventory that he had whatever he basically was able to work more or less parttime for a
(3:36:02) year uh and then break even at the end of it but if he would have did things a little bit more diligently like I told him to he could probably still be doing it today if you wanted to w yeah yeah I guess you know um the other problem is scale right and um you know I personally as well um you know fear that if you scale too quickly you will make a lot of mistakes or you know you might having to like cash for issues and whatnot um how would you suggest you know Jordan and anybody else here maybe you know can pitch in but if somebody is let's say
(3:36:45) you know 10K a month you know and they want to go to like 50k a month like what's the difference in the process is it just about sending more stuff um you know in managing the cash flow piece or you know there is a lot more to it so and if anybody else wants to cut in certainly feel free but in my opinion hitting 10K a month is like your first kind of threshold you have to get over I think I think that's that's kind of a large hump to get over for a lot of people it can take a while but once you get over it all a sudden you see the
(3:37:25) light and you're like oh selling 10K a month is peanuts after you do it once from there I would say it's probably about for most people around the 50k Mark then it's about 100K and then scaling from 100K above that can get quite nuanced and difficult depending on the route that you go and how much Capital you have available um but like the process from zero to 10 is all education all learning and taking a little bit of risk the process going from 10 to 50 is just willing to take on higher risk and spend more money it
(3:38:15) comes down to just spending more making more viable purchasing decisions that's really that's really all you have to do you don't have to do it in a set amount of time you just have to keep putting as much money as you physically can back into your business and keep buying more inventory making good purchasing decisions I think once you hit 50 I think it takes a little bit more cash flow management a little bit more knowledge a little bit more you have to be a little bit more with it to scale past 50k a month and I use this
(3:38:51) example I've used this example a lot uh the only person that I've shown that has stuck with Amazon is my dad my dad he's like 65 66 um he started selling on Amazon like I don't know like six months or so after I did we both started with Used Books he started because he thought what I was doing looked interesting and he never liked his job so he started selling but he also barely knows how to operate a computer he's very stupid when it comes to technology so uh it's been very interesting to see him with his business
(3:39:29) because like he almost does things blindly um he doesn't like he really struggled sourcing products he could not do it for the life of him and he was one of the reasons why I started a leadless business somebody else had asked me but he was also one of the reasons cuz was like okay if I have a Le this business he can just look at the list buy products and then try to scale his business and so since I started my leadist business he's been a customer of mine he almost blindly buys products but he's extremely consistent he keeps
(3:40:04) sending stuff in he keeps buying more paying off his credit card buying more sending it in and the last time I checked I think he was at like 50 or $60,000 months and he hardly knows he hardly knows how to operate a computer that is so amazing granted it's it's taken him a long time so he's been selling on Amazon for he's sell on Amazon for like five years so wow that's insane so relative speaking like that's not massive progress but considering like he he's the he's a person that if somebody if somebody like a tech scam person called
(3:40:44) him he'd be the one that gives him that his information considering he's able to scale business to that is very impressive that's good you know and I guess to add to that I mean we're talking on average like net margin being 15 20% for someone to take home $100,000 from an Amazon business they want need to sell close to what I going say a million give or take maybe 800,000 I think it depends on average I think it depends on your business model and your personal processes and your overhead so if you're somebody that can
(3:41:30) basically operate out of their house without taking on extensive overhead massive rent employees Etc and you're able to run the business yourself you can profit that a lot sooner than somebody that has to Outsource everything uh on average like say with OA specifically net net you probably be looking at close to close to a million probably like 800 800k to a million dollars per year for most people uh for some it's going to be substantially less because they're able to operate extremely Lean by themselves do it themselves out of their house
(3:42:09) um for some it's going to be a lot more some people are netting like literally two three% in this business and they don't even know it I think that's the main thing I mean Jay was talking about right it's like the scale I guess the question is what's your end goal right um is it to create a full-time job and I think Amazon's the only source of method or it's a complement your weekend money whether it's uh investing into stocks or spending it you know I don't know buying cigars for example I guess it all equates to it was interesting the story
(3:42:44) you Shar about your friend and how he lived within his means and then think obviously of the future that that's that's some poor forward thinking but I mean it's interesting to kind of position it in that sense too right I mean it all comes down to discipline and repetitive nature of the tasks that come into play and how much you're willing to spend and be consistent and disciplined in no way to focus your time if you ask me right and prioritize yeah I think a lot of it comes down to willing to do short-term sacrifice and
(3:43:21) be extremely consistent those are the two things that are going to really determine if you're going to have long-term success if you're wanting to scale it into like a relatively large business if you just want like you know a couple extra Grand per month I think basically anybody can do that and you don't even need to put a lot of thoughts into it you don't need to be the smartest person you have to be relatively consistent to do that but like you don't have to like be super passionate about it if you want to scale
(3:43:50) it to a relatively large business I think you have to have a lot more sacrifice in the short term and for most people I think you have to not necessarily be passionate about it but I think you have to to a point develop a passion if you're going to stick with it long term so I know Jordan that you're not a big fan of Outsourcing right um I like Outsourcing and um you do I like Outsourcing but I like to do I like to do it properly yeah um but do you do you you have your own Warehouse or prep right you're know Outsourcing to prep Center
(3:44:42) correct but I have but I have employees that prep for me yes yeah that's what I was um you know I meant when I said that um doing the prep yourself you know in your you know and having your own warehouse and everything makes the most sense because you're not paying somebody else the money to like you know a dollar for labeling you know putting a sticker on the product stuff like that but um you know is like starting out I feel like that that's my my constraint with the sourcing cuz I get lazy you know just like your other friend on like prepping
(3:45:24) stuff so I'm trying to use you know a mixture of both until you know you get to a point where you can you know scale and you know um hire maybe employees um fulltime um but is it like can it be done like with part-time like what's the if if you don't hire somebody full-time like what's the best arrangement that you can work around somebody who can come in like 3 4 hours maybe you know a day to help you with the prep stuff cuz you don't have a ton of work for them so if you have it available to you I would highly recommend that you make
