(00:00) out of a lot of money so you know looking for those a2a uh Amazon drops um those uh those are really really valuable because first you're buying it off of Amazon which is you know in if you have Prime you'll get it uh a lot quicker and you can send it back a lot quicker and you make a lot of money yep if you remind me either um later tonight or tomorrow or whenever I can send you some like standard parameters that you can start playing around with in keep a product finder they'd be very similar to what we utilize in our a2a Bots uh you
(00:47) just have to adjust like the the spread for like the dip and increase and you can use that quite effectively to find products just like that more easily all right I send you a yeah you just have to remind me hey Danny how's it going hey man it's going it's going how about you not too bad not too bad how are yeah how are all the uh excess products that you have going on oh man I'm okay I've been kind of going on a buying spre so last week like I did the math and everything I was just curious how much I spent last week I spent 17
(01:28) grand on inventory which was was like a huge it was my best purchasing week ever but now like my warehouse is just filled to the brink with products I can't even get into ship out like small orders for fulfilled by Merchant and Best Buy stuff like that but I think I told the Wi-Fi about it uh through DMs yesterday but yeah crazy stuff going on and right now like I'm finding this IP complaint on Amazon because most of my business is liquidation right but I make sure that everything's legit everything's real I
(01:57) don't send any counterfeit items in you know and if I if I do like I have this issue right now where I bought a ton of water filters and I have a feeling some of them might be fake but I'm holding off on sending those in because you know I don't want to get slapped with like a counterfeit claim stuff like that but yeah you know I'm going I'm going it is what it is but you know in any business there setbacks just G to keep pushing of course of course so what makes you think that the water filters that you have are
(02:26) fake uh well I talked to I talked to few people they say it might be the older packaging because what Samsung here let me actually send a what's it called I'm going to send a photo in general right now let me just take one real quick because I'm right next to them so what Samsung used to do with their water filters is they had regular packaging on them and they started putting holographic stickers on them so for me I think this might either be an older model or just might be counterfeit in general which won't be fun I'll have to
(02:55) go talk to my supplier about it and that's going to be a headache to deal with because obviously you don't want to deal with problems with with people you're doing business with right but I'll send one I know 100% so the one on the right let me quickly pull my camera the one on the right is 100% legit I know is for the fact the one on the left though I'm not sure I I have a feeling it's older packaging but like I said I don't know and I'll I'll explain why so I just sent it like the product and everything is
(03:26) exactly the same when I open it the upcs are the same same like I'll send you guys a photo right now too it's just the packaging is like is different here let me S that I see like the main one in the general chat yeah yeah I'm sending more like just different packaging and it looks like if I open let me open it for you guys actually one second I'm opening it right now so yeah the text the text and font this text font and placement from what I can see all looks correct as well yeah which is very confusing to me you know like I I don't
(04:10) know I open them up like as you guys can hear it's very floud in my background because I'm opening them up let me let me put these nice together like the model numbers look to be different but it's honestly like the text and everything matches up say men manufacturer same everything like you guys can check it just sent it um yeah they look literally identical fonts match up everything so I don't know if this a older if it's just a older packaging or whatever but hey I don't know like would you guys risk sending these in I even looked at the
(04:49) manuals they're the same so I don't know so for me personally like it's it's it's a higher risk when you have liquidation because you know never know if those receipts are going to be accepted for sure for sure right yeah yeah and like if there is a potential that something skims through their um chain of custody which is obviously very possible then you're never 100% um from looking at from looking at that picture right there um the the one of the two bottles side by side it looks like the sound song on the left is like
(05:23) kind of Darker blue or black and the one on the right is like a blue is that correct yeah yeah so one is a one is lighter one's darker yeah so that'd be interesting because like that might be the tail like if Samsung either has information online about them using different colors like that what I'm thinking is just just to reach out to Sams interrupt yes sorry to interrupt man I think there is also a size difference is there not let me check uh for which fold first second or third for the for the bottles themselves
(06:00) well I think the second I mean both all the pictures I feel like there's a slight difference do you see it might okay okay in that case I don't know like it looks very identical except for the model number which I'm noticing on the top yeah that's the only thing that's different to me too I don't know yeah like for me personally just because of how strict Amazon is I probably wouldn't personally risk it just because the risk potential is so high yeah that too like I honestly I didn't even knew that people faked water
(06:42) filters for fridges like like that's such a random thing to counterfeit in my opinion you know yeah like you would think that wouldn't be super common but I imagine it probably happens yeah it's just very strange oh well we live and we learn did you thing though I've noticed is that like they will counterfeit everything man like almost everything that you see will be counterfeited somehow and we'll be sold for sure that's true that's true I'll probably go back to my supp supplier because realistically they're they're
(07:16) liquidation place and they could sell they could sell this for the same amount they gave to me maybe even higher because there's people out there that they don't care whether or not has that genuine thicker but hey it is what it is I I'll go talk to them but swear man sometimes you just this the issue with liquidation too you can't really do a return it's more like final sale but because I do so much business with them I spend so much money with them they might they usually make exceptions for me but I don't know because I bought so
(07:43) many of these I went ham and only when I got home I realized I was like hold on I don't have a good feeling about these you know but it is what it is yeah and like just like with Amazon always better safe than Sor uh have you looked up to see like what kind of of um volume and what they sell for on eBay at all oh uh for eBay I haven't looked up on eBay but honestly I just like for my personal brand and we had a conversation about this yesterday with the Amazon um the price errors right like the non- returnable like I just really want to
(08:17) have a high ethical standard you know in terms of business because um I don't know I just think selling selling fakes even if it's if you don't know if it's fake or not I just I just don't think it's right in my opinion right that's that no that's completely Fair that's 100% fair I definitely I I definitely get where you're coming from yeah like if I don't know if it's legit or not I wouldn't like like I don't know what chemicals they use in these filters so that's that yeah that's fair yeah I'm just trying to see if I can
(08:50) find like similar ones on eBay but again like even finding similar ones it doesn't tell you for for sure that they are legit I know and that's the thing that shocks me too like both packaging they are like looking side by side the only thing is the shading that's different every other detail is the exact same which is very strange I I talked to a few people and they're also like yeah this is legit like this probably looks good but like I don't know I because okay on the Amazon listings they have the photo of the
(09:20) water filter with the genuine sticker on it right so if someone opens it and doesn't have it they'll probably like oh it's a fake right I don't know that's always a possibility on Amazon for sure [Music] yeah yeah that's that but it's so it's so strange because they look exactly the same you know what I think I'll just talk to Samsung customer support like get a water filter expert on this be like hey have you guys uh made products in this packaging before like and go from there and if they're legit I'll probably sell them either through here
(09:49) like through the Discord or through eBay because [ __ ] in total I have 117 units or sorry 115 units that I bought and but they were a mix I have LG filter Samsung General Electric Electrolux but this the only issue with some of them with some of the Samsung right yeah so that's interesting so yeah liquidation something it has ups and downs like the thing with liquidation is better margins like I bought I'll I'll give you guys a rundown on my cost so I bought the this law filter so 115 units I bought them for 10 bucks each if I
(10:26) sell them on Amazon like the legit ones I know 100% legit I won't have a problem with any cic claims and Samsung they only really care about their electronic products when it comes to um like warranty selling as brand new so on so forth uh let me just quickly find how much I could make on this and this is like one of those oneoff deals when you have a really good uh connection with your supplier and yeah like after fees I'm making around 15 bucks profit unit which I'm 1.x in my money 1.
(10:57) 5x in my money sorry so interesting stuff for sure yeah maybe I should make a liquidation guide I don't know because liquidation is such a strange uh industry you really have to I I tend to stay away and I'm like a I'm a mediumsized fish I'm not I'm not a big seller I'm not a small seller but you really stay away from pallets all that stuff like TR people make TR especially through like they make money through it if they have good sources to get rid of the crap like bin stores for example but I don't know how bin stores are doing
(11:29) now now like I heard some are sling some are going out of business so on so forth but that's that you know yeah I've always heard like historically for a long time there's always been a ton of shady actors in The liquidation business and they always are pawning [ __ ] off onto other people yeah yeah yeah that's that's a big thing you have to you have to really have trustworthy suppliers and that's why like as much as I don't like gatekeeping you have to gatekeep them or else the competition will just go through the roof for sure 100%
(11:59) yeah yeah that's that so then with yourself then like you mentioned you've had quite an uptick in inventory spend uh what do you feel like kind of ramp that off like is you just have good opportunities have your sales been ramping up well honestly I my cash flow has jumped up like crazy because I'm currently uh consigning items through uh another business so what essentially how the system works is I deal with an electrical contractor who basically tells me hey you know if I give you my material I bring back from site so on so
(12:32) forth of just excess stock that I'll rebuild a client for essentially it's it's free for them and you take 20% of the sale after all fees and you give me 80% like would that work and I was like yeah why not because realistically for these guys like most of these contractors so on so forth they have two options to do with their exit stock either keep it for a job which they don't know when that job will come around because electric parts they're very specific right or they can sell it to a liquidator who will give them 10 cents on the dollar so
(13:03) it's a winwin win and on top of that I use that money like for example let's say I sell a part for 100 bucks after fee I can use that $100 for as much as I want until I have to pay them which is usually monthly like net 30 right so the cash flow really really ramped up and also the buying opportunities have been there like my suppliers have been gting some good inventory that's the thing with liquidation right like sometimes you have dry months other times you have months where you're spending crazy crazy money like it's it's it's very up and
(13:32) down but that's why I'm also trying to get more into wholesale like I've been talking to people more and more about wholesaling so on so forth but you know the margins in wholesale are smaller than liquidation but liquidation you really need to know what you're doing like I remember uh I think it was how long ago was it like eight months ago I was selling echoe products I knew they were 100% legit I knew there was no issue with them but echoe hit me with a counterfeit claim and I didn't have the invoice to prove that was legit
(14:01) and Amazon like liquidated all my inventory for that as so that was like a big hit in the start um I also got scammed on a pallet and that's what really makes me stay away from pallets because realistically 90% of them are crap um I got scaned like three grand out of one and just now recently I'm selling this electric thermostat on Amazon and the brand I actually got in contact with the brand because they initially blocked me off the listing but then the inventory was left as F processing like I couldn't take it out
(14:32) right I contacted them I was like Hey guys like I can verify to you everything's legit like there's no there's no problem so and so forth but they so okay their listing wasn't even gated right wasn't even restricted or anything and I hopped on it like thinking oh okay like they they allow third party sellers because there were one or two other third party sellers but no apparently after being authorized reseller blah blah blah I like okay can I apply to be an authorized reseller like oh we're not taking any at this
(14:58) time I was like okay can you guys at least like remove the IP complaint so I can take out the the products from the warehouse and deal with them otherwise and they just ghosted me so that's that's that you know but I don't blame them they want to maintain quality control so on so forth they want to make sure um like their brand image stay strong but at the same time like don't put it on small small businesses you know like because it it hurts it hurts our bottom line too to deal with losses and stuff like that 100% so like in that situation they
(15:27) submitted an IP complaint against you is that what happened pretty much yeah so they submitted a IP complaint and I can't really do much about it right because I technically the chain of cust or whatever it's called it just goes to Liquidator and they liquidate it off to people so you really have to be careful around smaller Brands um you have to be careful around like listings that sell on Amazon is when oh my [ __ ] god sorry um when Amazon's on the listing you have to be careful as well because usually the brand keeps an out on it so
(16:00) if you if anyone ever goes into liquidation don't sell Echo and don't don't sell MSA so m is mysa or else they'll restrict you and then you have to deal with this whole crap with Amazon but that's that so I would like to just kind of like just briefly discuss that because I know that a lot of people don't fully understand like differences between like counterfeit claims IP complaints stuff like that because I IP complaints are actually like very specific and in some cases with Brands they can be very illegal for what the
(16:30) brand is doing so like if a brand is submitting an IP complaint against you what they're doing is they're telling Amazon that their IP their pictures their copyright uh like their whole intellectual property is on that listing and you're selling that product with their IP attached to it which they can control their intellectual property they can't tell you legally that you can't sell this product uh if you've obtained it if you've obtained it legally and you haven't stolen it uh you can dispose of that product in any way that you see fit
(17:05) uh we live right now in an open market place hopefully it stays that way uh but some somebody cannot control how how or where you dispose of your products so but Brands utilize IP complaints to controller listings some of them do it correctly like they made the listing it's their pictures or somebody else ripped off their pictures Etc uh but a lot of brands do it illegally just to control older listings because they know that sellers are not ones to fight back fight back against it and so like yeah but I'm just going to cut in there real
(17:37) quickly like me and Wifi had the same problem we actually got the same season deist letter from the same lawyer uh we talked about it actually and the thing is we got we got our stuff through Liquidators but it was all legit um we like you said we could dispose of it how we want but you know these loyers I assume they kind of maybe maybe they try to do a Power move saying oh like we're lawyers so on so forth like get off the listing or else we're going to take legal action blah blah blah like you're right it's not illegal to sell a product
(18:04) if you know that's not stolen or counterfit so on so forth but how do you deal against those like big company lawyers like those Hot Shots coming at you you know so I've had a couple dozen ceas ands letters in my time and so I've I've only had I believe it's been two IP complaints total since I've started my IP complaints are relatively low uh but I've had a couple dozen seent assists so like IP complaints are a pain in the ass to deal with because the only way you can remove them off of your account is if you get the brand to revoke it or if
(18:37) you are able to change the listing enough that it doesn't no longer has their IP on that listing and if you didn't make that listing sometimes it can be a big pain the ass to get changes approved so like you'd have to change like the images if they're off their website with non-stock photos so they're copyright Etc so that's why there's such a pain in the ass to deal with IP complaints not the end of the world they typically will not shut down your account unless you're brand new uh but like cease and assists are like a
(19:00) different thing like cease and assists are like them telling you that they're going to take legal action against you because you're not an authorized reseller um when I first started I was extremely cocky and I went back and forth with a lot of Brands saying you know I'm completely my legal rights to sell my products however I want basically tell them where to shove it and not so not so many words and I never heard back from any of them and then I just stopped wasting my time responding to them and I never I've never
(19:27) personally had any further issues I've had some send me a few letters but typically they just stop I can't ever say for sure that a brand will not attempt to take legal action but it's extremely rare because legal action is very expensive they have to be able to feel like they're going to rec at least recoup the money that they're going to be spending in that case to even make it worth it um so most of them they're just doing it to just attempt to strong strong arm you off the listing most brands if they're going to submit an IP
(20:00) complaint they'll just submit it they're not going to send you a cease and assist I see like here let me let me find the email maybe maybe I'm mixing the two up give me a second because like this was the same one I got with Echo ah it was such a pain in the butt let me and they and they at the end of the day they threw out my units quotequote donated them which they they just liquidated them got Amazon got got money for it um let me find it in that case would assume that would be a counterfeit claim which again is a bit
(20:31) different yeah that's what I think so okay so let me quickly okay let me screenshot this the only massive the only massive lawsuits I've heard like in recent years which is I think like probably like half a decade ago was Patagonia going after sellers on the US listings like actually attempting to take legal action but that's the only one I've really ever heard really take it far yeah like I just sent it in general you can check it if you want let's see here yeah so that's a that's an authenticity claims like they're
(21:09) claiming that your products have been counterfeit and soand Brands will do two different things they'll either do uh they'll indicate counterfeit without a test buy or they'll purchase it basically as a customer and then complain that it's potentially counterfit uh again those can be a pain in the ass to deal with they're not if you have the proper documentation rece invoices but that's the only way you can fight it and you have to you have to have the proper amount of units on your invoices versus what you've actually
(21:36) sent into Amazon and typically Amazon will ask you for like your last year's worth of inventory yeah like that's that's also I don't understand because I do have the invoice is that everything for this one um but like Amazon they need to realize that someone who's selling like let's say who's doing numbers like me who sells 30,000 in a month like we're not in the business of selling counterfeits or we wouldn't be doing these numbers you know that's that's what I don't understand with them but I understand for newer sellers maybe there's some
(22:02) people trying to you know play play the dirty game but it's it's it's just a pain in the has to deal with like especially because these Brands they don't restrict their listings if they I told them I emailed I was like listen if you guys don't want people selling your products without your specific authorization you could easily just restrict the listing and then you could deal with it yourself like not even Gage just full unrestricted but you know it is what it is can't do much about it it's actually like it's not always that
(22:31) straightforward for brand to like do like brand registry and really lock down their listing sometimes it actually be a little bit more complicated and like a lot of people a lot of Brands like they don't know how to navigate Amazon as well on top of that and I think that's kind of like the main the main reason why they don't yeah and that's the thing like I'm looking at it right now and I'm looking at those listings there's the brand itself on the listing and then there's also like one other one or two other
(22:55) sellers so I don't know if they've yet to strike them down or what's going on but I don't know man it is what it is so with your Liquidator that you have like what kind of like don't send don't send a picture of your invoice but like what do your invoices look like well they have the units they have HST number they have the business name like they have everything on it um like just like a wholesaler invoice so units price you paid uh sub total HST so on so forth that's it's the same as a regular invoice that's what it is and so in the
(23:29) name of the business like does it like say anything about like Liquidators liquidation stuff like that no so did you try submitting those invoices when you got that authenticity claim I got it like today or yesterday and like I'm going I'm going to get to it it's on it's on the back bur for now because I just have my priority right now is to just clear out some inventory because I have some more inventory coming in tomorrow actually so that's that so my dad sells an Amazon Amazon um and he's very old and he doesn't know how to use
(24:02) a computer and he has like a ton of issues and like just last week I helped him with an authenticity claim so basically like same similar idea just not like liquidation different brand and it's very it's very straightforward like all you have to do is just submit your receipts equaling the amount of units that you sent to Amazon and if your invoice looks like a legit invoice it'll probably get appealed and then you then you can keep selling that inventory okay well I hope that's the case because my luck usually it's it's
(24:31) the opposite way around but hey like that's that's also the thing with um Amazon in way uh Jordan or this could anyone can answer this like how do you maintain like how do you not get overwhelmed by all of this you know because I I do a lot I I don't just do Amazon I do a lot and maybe I should focus more on Amazon but how do you not get overwhelmed by Amazon life responsibilities like maybe even work so on so forth if anybody else wants to take the stage feel free and then I can follow up with my thoughts too
(25:07) anybody question no no no I was saying that I had the same question for Jordan okay so like I oh sorry no no go go ahead go ahead hi hi everyone I'm I'm new to new to Amazon compared to you guys but uh to to Danny's point it is very overwhelming but what have worked for me recently is that writing it down from the start of the day what I'm going to do and just uh knock it down one by one that helped me in the beginning when I started my Amazon Journey it was uh it was very overwhelming even in the server I was getting pings every second and I
(25:50) didn't know what to do and but then I I saw other people saw what kind of Jordan does and everyone how everyone reacts in the server and then and then I Follow Chris Grand a lot as well and hear their podcast too basically what I got from them their podcast is uh prioritize your your your your your your thing so that's when like I I do I try I'm I'm selling in two marketplaces right now Amazon and Walmart but I try to prioritize uh my start of the day uh and and write them down and and and and figure out what is
(26:21) what is most the most important versus least important and then go go with it yeah like those are super good tips and I would do something similar and I have found like that has been probably like one of the most effective things for me is maintaining some loose schedule it's hard for me to maintain like an exact like minute-by-minute schedule because so much [ __ ] changes every single day but then also having like my to-do lists kind of organized by priority and then just doing just trying to time trying to
(26:54) do some time management as much as I can and bring the priority things up front right um but I also set like little mini goals for myself that I look at my to-do lists what some sometimes can be massive and super overwhelming um and I just say Okay I I can reasonably get these things done so I know that when I cross these things off my list for today I've accomplished enough this is going to make me feel like I've succeeded today and then I don't need to go to bed super stressed out that I didn't do enough so
(27:24) then like from there because as you grow like you're going to to get more and more stuff on your plate especially if you're working like other jobs doing other businesses stuff like that as well so when you start getting to that point where it's just like you don't know how you can do all this [ __ ] yourself that's when it becomes very beneficial to during your day keep tabs on what you're doing so like not necessarily make a schedule but just like write down a piece of paper a spreadsheet whatever what you're doing in what time slots and
(27:54) don't [ __ ] yourself if you're sitting there scrolling Facebook for 30 minutes or Instagram or whatever the hell you're looking at YouTube videos um put that down and do that for about a week maybe two weeks and then actually look at it and assess where you're spending most of your time and when you do that it becomes a lot easier where you can see the types of things where you can adjust your time slots maybe take away more time from doing these certain tasks or start delegating those tasks because it's like this task that
(28:25) is like very basic straightforward I can probably teach somebody else how to do relatively easily is taking up so much of my time and when you start getting deep into things and start growing a lot of those U menial tasks end up taking up a [ __ ] ton of your time like looking over emails replying to suppliers or just like random little [ __ ] admin stuff right a lot that stuff can add up and it can take up way too much of your time that you can if you just sit down and spend a little bit time making those like the video walkthroughs or a an op
(28:58) whatever then you can teach somebody else and Outsource that relatively easily and probably very cheaply that those are good those are T good tips I just have a quick question for L Professor how's Walmart going for you uh Walmart is slow uh I have five or six items right now but it doesn't sell uh at all even I price it competitively I I applied for their wfs I I never hear back like you mentioned before that that happened to you as well I thought I I followed up once but I didn't get any reply I as I in the beginning I I I I
(29:38) remember I told you guys I was trying to get my account activated uh there was a little bit of push back from them but then I was able to get it activated but not a lot of action you on Walmart to be honest but what I feel is that maybe it's the start of uh something maybe later on when Walmart will have so much aggregate data like Amazon has maybe it will start picking up so yeah but uh I consider Walmart as my secondary or third tier Market if things are not selling in Amazon or the things that I'm G I'm gated at in a certain specific
(30:10) brand I'm seeing that Walmart doesn't have anything like that yet so I can upload anything so all the items that I have uploaded in Walmart those are all all the items that I used for uning in Amazon actually yeah yeah and that's the thing that really shocks me too cuz Walmart rolling out their Marketplace in Canada but their Seller Support is even worse than Amazon's which is like crazy to me yeah it makes no sense but yeah same thing I still haven't heard back about wfs so for those of you that don't know wfs is essentially their Amazon FBA and
(30:44) um you know obviously you're going to win the buy box more if you're it's fulfilled by them right so yeah Walmart has been crazy slow for me too I don't think I've sold anything on Walmart in the past month um and I do like I do good numbers on on Amazon and I do sell I do have a few listings up on Walmart just nothing selling I don't know so it's it's not just you it feels good that I'm someone is also sharing the same sentiment for Walmart cuz I'm pissed off on those guys I don't know what they're doing it's super
(31:15) weird yeah for sure but um yeah for me like I'll say Amazon's my biggest than it's Best Buy than it's eBay actually between Best Buy and eBay they might be similar because of that electric um thing I have going on the side and then I will say it's like Facebook and then Walmart which is shocking honestly so what can you do are you still working at the bank Danny oh yeah I'm gonna quit though in in around a month cuz um school's starting back up so I'm I'm going to third year Finance so it's going to be a little bit hectic but I I'm going like
(31:54) how do I put this way I really want to do this full time after I Gra Gru so I'm just going like full team ahead so I don't there's nothing wrong with working a 9 to5 like I work a 9 to5 right now just ever since I was young I wanted to do my own thing so it's not like those cringe entrepreneur posts you see on Instagram it just but that's how that's how I am you know what do you mean since you were young you're still young since I was like 13 I'm 20 now so like yeah you know you know what I mean like there's there's those like
(32:21) nine-year-olds on Instagram reals and they're just like today I I realized I don't have much time left in life when you start grinding and stuff like that you know exactly what I'm talking about too right like what are you talking about your life is the longest thing you'll ever experien I know I I say the same thing to these guys and they're like no no I'm running out time I need to escape the matrix like that that's f i me I'm not like that just that's the honest truth you know and I tell everyone that I'm
(32:47) like listen I'm not like these cringe entrepreneur gurus you see on the internet just I just want to do this for for real you know so yeah that's that well yeah from everything that I've heard though like it sounds like you're really making things work and kind of finding your own and making it work for you and becoming decently successful at it so I have no doubt that if you keep at it you stay consistent that you'll be able to more than make it a full-time income and a full-time career and eventually a booming
(33:17) business for sure for sure that's that's the plan right hopefully hopefully everything goes well and uh hopefully nothing goes wrong but yeah that that's that um I have a question question does anyone here other than Jordan have any uh employees either part-time or fulltime located in Canada like in person that work for them I I'm assuming that's enough I I honestly don't think that there's too too many in the Amazon space that have local employees yeah but that's the thing because I'm doing uh like I have so many
(33:54) different products and so many different skews that come in that I kind of need some to process them because um for me personally like I've had a family member help me out but they're moving away in September also going off to un University so um I need to find someone locally to kind of assist me with that because like I said right now um sorry I'm just getting I'm getting messages from someone um yeah like right now I'm very I feel like one of the tasks I can easily Outsource like pay someone I don't know like 20 bucks an hour to do
(34:25) is just process inventory label and put it in boxes you know um when I could actually focus more on working on the business like finding Distributors because I do have a VA overseas and he's great but obviously he's not in Canada he can't do physical labor you know but that's that yeah so what don't like what were you g to ask like what's holding you back from like how do you go go about finding like I I don't know if you have anyone outside of friends and family that works for you but how do you go about finding someone like outside of
(34:54) that fear let's put it that way so like my number one in both my local employees and even my overseas vas my number one way to hire has been internally so I haven't I have had some people that are not directly related to me or friends work for me locally not long term um but like for like my vas a lot of my vas I've hired have been like somebody's wife or cousin or sister or whatever that I've done that a lot um and that's one of my most preferred ways for hiring just makes things a lot easier um but like if you are looking it depends on
(35:32) what you're looking for and what you need them to do um how advanced the task is but like ideally like the the the easiest way is obviously to find somebody that either like you know your friends friends kids local high school kids whatever assuming that you can trust them with whatever you want for them to do and then secondary is just posting on like job sites like on like indeed uh even on some Facebook groups like Facebook job finding groups stuff like that or uh just hitting up somebody like just literally posting on like
(36:08) Facebook or Instagram just saying hey looking for somebody parttime for this and it's pretty easy to find somebody like that you just have to be willing and understand the potential risks that come with yeah that's true like I have have major trust issues so honestly um yeah that's going to be that's going to be a headache to deal with but that's that's a plan in the back burner like I'm also starting uh PL like private label uh in US not in Canada but maybe Canada if the US goes well maybe Canada as well um so
(36:39) yeah that's why I was getting those messages before I was like oh my God because it's a potential supplier like right now I've already finalized the product finalized everything and just ordered samples so maybe I'll update you guys how that goes maybe even create a guide because um private label seems really interesting you know starting your own brand seems pretty cool I'm doing it with a friend which is it helped me out in that sense in terms of you know I can do some of the work they can do some of the work so on so forth
(37:03) and hopefully it goes well too so obviously like I'm I'm interested in hearing what you have what you have in regards to that but like don't share your product because you don't want people steal it but like what kind of um what kind of like Niche or category is it in yeah for sure so it's in the kitchenary stationary Niche um it's it's kind of a mixture of both and when I first saw the product I was like H like who would buy this you know for and I started thinking about it I was like in America especially this is very helpful
(37:32) like in Canada I don't know if it would work but in America like it makes sense so I I the numbers matched up like they were good everything looked good because we did product research through um helium 10 so everything looked good and now we're just confirming uh our sample all the details and what we're going for is for a more premium brand like think uh KitchenAid for example right not like Lex or anything but more premium and um if you do the math on the numbers the suppliers say okay let's say I'm just
(38:05) I'm a numbers guy right that's why I'm in finance let's say A supplier quotes you 10 bucks for a product based model right no trim no nothing and you could sell it for 30 bucks just throwing out numbers this is not actual margin so on so forth you can sell for 30 bucks okay if you want to make it make the material a little nicer add a few more feature so on so forth they'll charge you 12 $1 but you could sell it for now $40 you know and that's a nice thing about having a premium brand because if you do a few
(38:34) mod small modifications you increase the p uh perceived value and you could sell it for more you know so that's that's something that's why I kind of went in that space definitely um in regards to like your suppliers definitely don't want you to share what your suppliers are but are you looking at like more or less mainstream suppliers or are you looking at like places like Alibaba uh it's Alibaba like the main Cham suppliers is more for established Brands so on and so forth but I've got my supplier off Alibaba and I recommend
(39:05) everyone else like if you do want to start private label start off with Alibaba I know there's other platforms um such as uh what's it called I think it's called 10 cent 1688 like those more Chinese uh platforms and if you speak Mandarin or if you know someone who speaks Mandarin who you could like kind of pay a little you know be like hey can you can you reach out to these suppliers so forth like I don't know if it's just me but I think you could get a better price if you do because uh they kind of how do I put it this way uh I don't want
(39:38) to say they're they're xenophobic but they they they would prefer to work someone who speaks man I don't know like that's that's what I that's what I personally seen it might not be everyone's experience and and that's why I always say in my opinion because like I want to make sure this I'm not trying to say like that's the thing for everyone but yeah that's another kind of tip I would have like know if you know someone who speaks Mandarin be like hey can you kind of help me out here so on so forth oh another thing um Alibaba has
(40:05) a ton of middlemen like you got to be very very careful when I was searching for my product actually um I was getting quotes all over the place right I was getting quotes I don't want to say the exact dollar figure because they might give it away but I'll make a number up so I was getting quotes anywhere from $ 50 to $100 us and this not the actual number but just think of it as a range right so it was it was a huge range and the people usually who tend to charge those higher prices they say oh my quality is better so on so forth no no
(40:35) no they're just middleman like they're they're making money by talking to the factory for you and acting as a middleman so um you got to be very careful with that as well if you do want to start private label that's what I've think too so yeah interesting stuff very cool um if you ever run into any robloxs just like to make a recommendation for yourself uh we we do have somebody in the server uh I believe his username in here is DC his name is Richard uh he has he I believe what I last talked to him he had two different
(41:06) private label Brands one one was in mid seven figures and one almost reached eight figures I believe he said wow yeah and that's that's the thing about private label is such a huge potential you know 100% And like you obiously you obviously have exit potential and stuff as well um but yeah like you ever run into any Roblox I know that he would definitely be more than willing to help you out oh yeah for sure like I would I would just Sho me his shoot me his tag and DMS because I I will 100% like have like a CH and have a call maybe uh if
(41:37) he's in Toronto maybe even meet up with him in real life it just depends you know yeah interesting I believe he's in Alberta but yeah oh he said like he's more than willing to talk to people in the server whenever he has time so yeah for sure like and that's the thing with me too like I know when I was when I first started um I was actually in the server a year ago for like a month and then I quote unquote didn't see too much value in the server and this is this is true I I know I told Jordan about this but um now like even I've been in the
(42:07) server as staff helping out here and there for around half I say half would you say half a year now Jordan I I don't remember how long has it been probably pretty close yeah pretty close yeah it's a half a year and I'm learning things each and every day like the other like literally yesterday asked a question about something I didn't know know about and uh yeah like the value is 100% there I just didn't look hard enough a year ago I'll say I wasn't too serious but yeah now that everything's more serious it's it's definitely there that's what I
(42:36) like to say a little little plug for the server guys no it's it's crazy the amount value like I look in the guide sometimes and I'm like dude these are these are full ass novels this guy's insane but yeah that's nice yeah but for sure yeah go ahead go ahead no I just going to say I try to make sure like the stuff that we actually have is quality and not diluted [ __ ] like you find in some places like so it's actually real real value but those things just those things just take me down a rabbit hole and take a
(43:07) [ __ ] ton of time 100% 100% um I was thinking actually to create maybe a liquidation guys because I don't know do you know if anyone else in the server does liquidation or no I believe there are some that dabble in it but I don't believe there are any that have it as their main business model I see I see cuz that's my it's my main one essentially so um if people are interested I me and you could figure something out like in terms of writing up a guide like uh because I have I have a lot of I would like to say
(43:39) not hidden gems but I have I have a lot to share about the industry because um for for someone who's new in it it's very very sketchy in my opinion so yeah that's that yeah if you are willing I'm always like I mentioned interested to learn myself I imagine other people could probably find some good value out of it as well of course if you guys do if you guys want to always feel free to chime in but like if you want to rate up a full guide 100% if you want just give like bullet points and like just like some solid tidbits of information you
(44:09) can provide that too and then I can produce it into like a full written guide okay uh we we'll talk about it we'll talk about it after for sure definitely yeah so how about everyone else it's been it's been quiet today where where's is everyone sleeping what's happening he hey um I quick question as it relates to the buy box um if hey if you have like um say your order limit set at five but in total you have maybe 200 um at Amazon um do Amazon do you think Amazon prior is the person that maybe have the order
(44:49) limit above yours even even though you maybe have more um stock done that than that specific person so I personally played with that a couple years ago uh it may have changed a bit since but like you'll find most people have like an order limit of like around five to about 10 units and they might be doing it like unknowingly but that's actually kind of like the sweet spot because I found like if you restrict it too much like you have an order limit of like one or two it does actually impact you but if you have a higher quantity it does not
(45:25) impact you as much uh the only thing that will tend to impact you is if you have a an item that people tend to buy larger quantities of um you're obviously not going to get those sales because somebody just types in the quantity on Amazon that they need 20 and then it doesn't matter if you're in the buy box if you don't have 20 available to order the person that does have 20 is going to uh be in that purchase right but all your products if you never have somebody that orders more than that then it shouldn't impact you whatsoever as long
(45:53) as you have like a decent quantity I would say stick with a minimum five to 10 and I I just want to chip in real quick um like Amazon is a game of volume like you make more money as you do more sales so I know some people they like to keep their order minimums like lower so that they can make more margin but honestly if it's a business customer and they're ordering I don't know let's say 10 toner cartridges off you right comparing to one sale and you're doing that in a day let's say you make 10 bucks a unit off of one sale but off
(46:25) that business to business sale make eight bucks right that's $80 right there in profit that you could reinvest in your business um in two weeks when Amazon released your money so on and so forth and sales are not guaranteed and especially I've seen lately in today's market and a lot of Amazon sellers are pivoting towards this they're pivoting towards everyday things so I personally used to sell a lot of higher end Electronics but unfortunately nowadays those are those aren't performing as well as they used to um actually we were
(46:53) talking about a AF flips oh what's everybody's process of actually finding those like if been using keeper deals for that is there other ways that people are finding them other than just kind of manually browsing Amazon as well hey hey Nick I will I will definitely provide some insight into that in just a second here uh Danny sorry what were you saying oh good um yeah so essentially doing volume I say is the key so if you could have that order limit it as high as possible that would be that would be key but to
(47:30) everyone's business model is different you know that's what I want to say yeah and it really comes down to like the type of products that you're selling so like you're selling like regular everyday consumable products that is very unlikely for somebody to order multiple units or a business customer may Focus like say if you're selling a lot of shampoos or groceries uh most of the time a lot of business customers will not be focusing those there may be like some specific like food service stuff where like say an
(47:56) office might Focus like curate cups and higher quantities Etc um but just try to set your order limits intelligently if you are using them uh but Nick sorry what uh you were mentioning you had some questions about a2a flips specifically finding them outside of keep a product finder is that correct uh yeah I mean so far I've pretty much just been using keepad deals like the keepad deal section yep and I've definitely been finding some stuff just wondering if there other ways to find them like with keepa product find
(48:29) or other methods so some of the best ways are with keepa deals and then also utilizing the uh kpf filters so um like I mentioned to Rizzy who left uh earlier um I can provide like some base um some base filters that you can apply that will get you started with finding potential a2a flips um remind me after the session and I'll just provide it publicly for everybody and it'll work similar to how our a2a BS are functioning with those types of similar filters and then you can just restrict them or loosen them up to your own
(49:03) criteria that helps a lot and that's probably one of the most effective ways unless you are digging into like your own scripts utilizing keepa API or utilizing something new like one of like the newer tools that are coming out like flip alert uh flip alert is something that would be similar to like kpf it's just like they have their own dashboard they are specifically for a2a flips um they aren't actually using using Kea to find a2a flips they are using like their own custom access points into Amazon so utilizing something like that I think
(49:33) can be super effective they are still like I believe they're still in beta and they're only in the US but I've been talking to Saul who's the owner of that company and he said that they're going to be launching in Canada later this year and when tools like that come out that will be a very effective way to as well find a2a flips cool I'll yeah if you want to um either uh I mentioned to Rizzy and to yourself you want to just ping me either tonight or tomorrow I'll send um a general template of how you can start off with kpf and uh
(50:09) then yeah you can definitely start adjusting things from there but then like so like with the general filters I find like those work quite well but then you can also get into um like if you want to start either combining bundles or like splitting up multi packs that is all Al a very effective way so you can go into like either Amazon directly or preferably into keepa product finder and you can start typing in things with some loose filters of like 12pack sixpack bundle and then you can start seeing things because there's a lot of products on
(50:42) Amazon that will sell in like a 12 pack and those if you split them out into singles or uh like a two pack or a different bundle a ton of them are profitable because Amazon just has such good pricing all the time in a lot of their multi packs that is has another great way to find a2a flips as well it does take a little bit more work and a little bit more um flipping back and forth between kpf Amazon trying to find the products but you can find stuff that are consistently profitable doing it that way and you're not just waiting for
(51:10) deals to come in those are things that you can like basically use as a replan in terms of a2a yeah Al what's up hey Nick hey I was also wondering since we're on the a2a thing I like started buying some a2a leads as well and I'm wondering like what's your thoughts on having multiple buying accounts to get over the quantity limits do you think it's risky or I don't personally think so because I I use a lot uh the the only thing like even if you have multiple accounts unless they are completely disconnected from you
(51:53) like you're not using them on your same IP address you're never going to loog Wi-Fi just don't use prime shipping benefits besides besides that it doesn't matter I haven't seen I haven't seen anything in to that says that you can't skirt quantity limits right if you you will probably find like if you start opening up like say you have like five buyer accounts and you open them all up on your computer they're all like connected to like a catch all or they're connected to you in some way you'll probably you'll probably find with some
(52:22) products when you start placing orders those orders will start getting cancelled right because they they've connected your accounts and they said you you have a quantity limit and they're not going to give you anymore um so if you want to get around that you just have to have accounts like ideally you would have like an actual account like say like you have a brother or sister mom or dad that use Amazon just say hey right give me your account and I'll just connect my card to it and make purchase on your account lot less
(52:44) lot less likely get canceled like those are like those would be like more Premium Accounts that are like I would call them like kind of like hard accounts and right those are almost never going to get cancelled makes sense yeah like I don't really like getting canceled and stuff is not a huge deal it's mostly about like your seller account being in danger that I'm I was just wondering about yeah so I've looked into that and as far as I'm aware um I will actually confirm to somebody that I know that would probably know even
(53:11) better than me um so remind me to do that but I should remember uh but as far as I'm aware I've read the terms quite diligently there's nothing that indicates that that is against to right okay cool because yeah it's hard when you like want to buy 100 of something and you could only buy like 10 every three days per a count or something it's a pain in the ass yeah most of the time you can't buy more until your products actually get uh get delivered to you so yeah yeah okay cool man 100% so yeah uh Nick who was just
(53:44) talking uh CK um you had just recently rejoined the server so how are you finding things versus when you were in here multiple months ago uh it's good like it's there's a huge um like so many more features added which is awesome honestly like I join mostly just for the chats and stuff because like all the golden nuggets you can take away just from like people talking about Amazon I think that alone is worth the money sure um I'm definitely waiting for like seller watch to be fixed because that's the thing I definitely want to
(54:19) utilize definitely um yeah like I was away for like a little trip but I saw that there were a bunch of like price errors and stuff too which was pretty cool so even if you catch one of those like every you know every once in a while that pays for your membership for like basically the year right so 100% yeah uh yeah just like those uh those recepticles that I posted about the other day that a couple people caught I how much did I profit it was like 1,200 bucks yeah that's insane and it was pretty easy flip um there was
(54:54) there was a good one a while ago where we caught um there were Bullseye like a seed on TV uh tire inflators they normally retail for like I think it's between like 70 and 90 bucks we caught them at Walmart for a dollar and nice I I don't even know if it was a price ER I think Walmart was just clearing them out and quite a few people got them and they're super viable on both eBay and Amazon I think Melanie in here she got quite a few and she made some decent money on Amazon with those nice awesome yeah I like it though and then
(55:24) these these like calls and stuff that happen are very valuable too right you can just ask questions basically for free which is great 100% yeah and quite often when we have these sessions they go for multiple hours it just depends on what everybody if everybody wants to hang out ask questions yeah like we've had sessions that went like five six hours yeah yeah I was watching like while I'm like prepping I usually will like watch one of the uh previous live streams like the OA sourcing one and stuff it's like five and a half hours or
(55:58) something and I picked up so many valuable things especially about like the um rabbit sourcing it's crazy like how many products one lead can like transform into when you Rabbit Hole it so I'm actually like there leads that I was like shocked by I'm like holy [ __ ] like it just doesn't end so before you heard that from herall you weren't actively you weren't like you weren't really aware of rabbit Hool s you weren't really doing it um was but like you just gave me like different ideas how to approach it and whatnot you know
(56:32) like because there's so many different angles you can take from it and yeah and honestly no I was just doing a lot of a lot of storefront stocking and like just certain websites that I know their sales are good and stuff like I would Source from that but I'm trying to up my sourcing game and be more efficient so that helped a lot Beauty uh I just want to ask um because I'm not sure if we had it with the last you're in here but have you checked out our the retailer database that we have in the server um I think is that just like the
(57:06) list of like the 500 websites or whatever yeah I think it's yeah I think it's like over like a thousand or so yeah yeah I have a [ __ ] ton of retailer save too like whenever I come across promising retailers where like I find an item on or an item that's close I just like bookmark that website because I'm like maybe in the future I could come back to it you know Beauty yeah so I have a huge folder of like a bunch of websites as well and I don't even do wholesale yet but every time I come across a website that has like a
(57:35) wholesale section or whatever I'll just save it in the wholesale folder as well so I'm like in the future I could come back to those when I get it to wholesale 100% the reason why I asked for that is because like that can be a bit of additional layer of some rabbit hole sourcing um right because like if you want to like start like manually sourcing on one of those sites that potentially just has like a good sale or potentially good clearance I know a lot of people in the server have mentioned that they utilize that almost every day
(58:04) for some sourcing because they're all actually vetted sources that we have personally vetted so it's like 99% plus chance that they are viable sources it has the information in them um and we've have we have actively found actual profitable OA products at every single one of those sources nice yeah I got to uh make a throwaway email and like join all the newsletters on all those websites and just you know go through them every once in a while when like you see a good sale going on so funny you said that we actually have a bot that we
(58:38) just made that is going to do that in the server for you oh awesome we actually had it like uh made probably about a month ago it's just I haven't got around to get uploaded in the cloud yet it's fully functional but it's going to Just Produce like tidbits of information from all every single one of those retailers whenever they put out newsletters is going to actively scrape the uh the main email that we have and provide that information so I just like I'll send a screenshot of what it looks like in the general chat here and it's
(59:07) on my to-do list whenever I have time I'm going to get it cloud-based and fully up and running but it's going to have like the date it was produced Supply it from the tidbit of like the header from the email so you know what the main thing is and then the link to the supplier so like if like Clinique is having like a 25% off sale it'll that in the email nice that's awesome yeah so cuz I tell people all the time make a make an email sign up for all those because that's a super viable way to Source but I know it's
(59:38) timec consuming so we did it for you awesome yeah I'm just trying to make things more efficient you know because now that I like every month that I grow it gets harder and harder to manage certain things you know what have you been finding like more difficult to manage as you progress just like cuz I'm still doing all the prep myself y so like prepping while continuing to Source you know it's like when should I be prepping when should I be sourcing you know and then I do a lot of like cross border stuff too so I have to like go
(1:00:08) and I'm like picking up the packages and stuff as well to save money but I'm going to probably start getting them to ship the pellets directly to me I like spoke to a warehouse manager and they like worked out a good deal um yeah it honestly it's mostly just the pr it's tiring you know like after you do like an eight hour prep day you're like 100% but it's worth it it's worth it so have you ever like considered starting to like try to do some Outsourcing in house yeah yeah like I have some friends and stuff that might
(1:00:43) be interested in helping because I live with roommates and a lot of them you know they're just like here while I'm prepping and stuff and they're like if you ever need help you know let me know so it's going to probably get to that point 100% um heck um you said you did crossb yeah yeah I was wondering like um not to tell me a specific figure or anything that you're doing but if for instance say you spend say 15,000 Canadian yeah um how much do you think would cost um to bring it over I don't know because it just it's
(1:01:24) the rates are like dep pending per box so it just depends on how heavy the items are how many they can fit in a box like some suppliers will shove a ton of items into one box which like UPS your margins a lot and then some places like Walmart and stuff will split them up into like so many boxes so that could like affect your margins a lot it really depends like I don't I couldn't give you an answer but like an average box for me depending on the weight is anywhere from like 10 to 20 bucks I'd say so I don't
(1:01:56) know how many boxes you could get with like 15,000 okay okay that's good because I did something I did some with um Shippy yeah and he was telling me like I'm for something like $1,000 maybe 30 um I was Pay n off like 600 so was that that was the estimator so I ain't doing that yeah well it like you know when you import you just got to make sure the margin on those items are higher like you calculate you know once you do it a while you should kind of know around how much the um like fees are and stuff so usually
(1:02:42) I'll add like a $150 per item or so like just to include all the shipsy fees unless if it's like a really really heavy item then it's going to be a lot more expensive but so usually I'll make sure I have like after converting it from USD to CAD I'll like usually add $150 to $2 and if like my margins are still good after that I'll usually buy it oh I heard you say PCT so like yeah well pallets yeah like the they said um if you live in like the GTA region and you're like getting 20 to 30 boxes at least per shipment they could
(1:03:22) like Del deliver it to your house for like a heavy discount they have delivery drivers I'm just picking it up right now but it's time consuming yeah and Ron like it depends on which way you're going like Canada to us or US to Canada and then if you're doing OA or wholesale um I put a link in the general chat and I tagged you there so like that's a way that you can do like a rough calculation of how to bring like how much it's going to cost you bring o08 items over the border from the US it's a rough calculation and
(1:03:56) obviously the more volume you're doing the better pricing you're going to get um if you have suppliers that are like able like say if you're doing wholesale and there are some suppliers that are actually willing to ship directly to Canada obviously in a lot of cases that ends up being more ideal and you can get more better estimates that way versus having to use a crossb service um but yeah like it should give you a relatively good base on how you can calculate what your total cost per unit is going to be what your Landing
(1:04:23) cost is yeah and also when I was saying just disclaimer when I was saying like I add like two bucks per item after converting I that's including me picking the items up like if you're getting it delivered it's going to be more than that so um does that does your ATT C to work with a specific company oh crossb pickups my bad so wait what's so that that calculator is set up for crossb pickups but of course you can make a copy and adjust it for any company because like all you have to do is like that calculat if you want to
(1:05:05) mess with it yourself uh you can just click file and make a copy and then all you have to do is just change uh what your pickup fee is what your estimated shipping fee is and then input your buy cost how many units you're purchasing and it does the rest of the calculations for you so if you know your rates like if you go on like shipy or crossboard pickups or wherever most of them have their rates publicly listed so you can put in your estimated fees there and then it does a a rough calculation for you okay and I don't have to do with a a
(1:05:39) custom brok or anything depending on what you're bringing over and how like how much value you have most crossb companies will act act as act as a custom broker for you if you fill it to corresponding like power attorney forms whever that they need uh like if you I know crossboard pickup specifically they act as a custom broker for me so I imagine most crossboard services will for you as well yeah I have had no problem with shipsy they are just going to need like an import number from you and then you only pay like
(1:06:11) 5% um GST and HST to import instead of 13 so it helps to okay and that you think came back on your taxes right yeah from what I know if it's the value added tax you could claim it back but not the because that's just like the hsd and GST but you can claim back duties okay yeah so like duties wouldn't would wouldn't be like a direct a direct like um tax credit like regular taxes would be you you still would claim it as an a business expense obviously it just wouldn't be a direct refund okay but again with with duties
(1:06:54) as well um if you have products that are get that are manufactured in Canada United States or Mexico the kusma countries um almost all those products if you're importing for business purposes and you have the proper paperwork are dutyfree um if you are if the products areen manufactured elsewhere like China Etc then they would be subjected to duties no matter what under after like a certain value okay and also make sure you look at like their prohibited items list so you don't screw yourself over by accident because they have certain items
(1:07:34) they don't like they don't allow you to import at all like a lot of pesticides fertilizers sometimes like animal products Meats stuff like that I think I'm going to try Bo with like a very small sample size just to just to test yeah and like utilizing a crossboard service if you like just like don't go don't go super deep your first order and just like make sure you just do like a small test if you're just first time using it get a feel for what your fees are actually going to be uh once you know that and you utilize something like
(1:08:12) that calculator it's actually pretty easy to get a relatively good estimate what your total cost is going to be uh m i see you uh mentioned in the chat here if there's going to be any upcoming sessions for sourcing 100% um I want to eventually be able to do more of these sessions it's just a matter of the schedule that I have going on at that time I've been ridiculously busy recently so um we've been doing like about one to two of these sessions per month uh ideally I want to be able to do even like upwards of like one per
(1:08:51) week it's just a matter of being able to put everything in place to be able to get there but yeah we'll definitely include more sourcing sessions as well for sure how about uh the sourcing challenge which you were talking about that's something I want to do as well yes but there's so many things that just get put on the back burner so yes like and if somebody somebody here Jaden wink wink um wants to help me get that something like that set up I would be forever grateful because yes I do want to do that as well
(1:09:26) uh for anybody that isn't familiar uh quite a few months ago I mentioned that I would like to do a sourcing challenge in the server and so it would be basically some people have mixed opinions about it but it would be a way to help everybody improve their specifically OA sourcing skills for Amazon and what it would be what my general idea is is we would have a Time session it would probably be the most beneficial way would probably be like everybody can do it in their own time frame within like a certain so many days or like a week or
(1:10:01) so uh and say you have like 30 minutes or an hour and you just have to um record your screen while you're sourcing and I would give you a certain AC in where you need to start and the idea would be specifically to enhance your rabit hole sourcing skills we would do some intro sessions uh leading up to that session where we can talk about strategies methods Etc and then I would give you a random as in to start you record yourself and then you start going down the rabbit holes and you can either just completely mute it or you can talk
(1:10:33) through your process while you're doing it whatever and then in your half hour hour period you're trying to Source Products and whoever finds the most viable uh unique products in total would be the winner of that of that uh that specific Challenge and there we do like um Awards like free memberships gift cards cash prizes stuff like that I think that's a really cool idea if enough people are interested quite a few people did express interest um it's just a matter of getting everything organized in order to get that set
(1:11:09) up so yeah if you guys do have interest or if uh that's something that you'd be interested in um or if you have any feedback for that definitely let me know but it would definitely be like a a test and challenge for everybody to see what they're capable of there would certainly be different levels of people I would try to make it as Fair as possible when we discuss in-depth strategies beforehand uh but it's more so designed to see how far you can push yourself Nick you were going to say something before I start talking talking
(1:11:55) again it looked like yeah I was saying that would be cool but now that we're talking I just had one question that I'm wondering if you like understand how it works so I had like some returns right and so I sold items had returns and Amazon claimed that they were customer damag right and I return them to me and they're still sell they're definitely not damaged I don't know why Amazon did that it was like 10 units and so I want to send them back in but I use seller board to um do my cost of good sold every month just like to
(1:12:38) import into my like bookkeeping and I'm wondering when I send the items back in since seller board already like calculated those items as a sale if when I send them back in if I just put that batch as like $0 buy cost or if I would do the regular buy cost because like it already calculated the buy cost like as part of the original sales so I'm kind of confused it has been quite a few years since I've utilized myself um as far as I'm aware when items get so like they're basically treated as almost like credits
(1:13:16) and debits when you look at traditional book and so as far as I'm aware when an item gets returned it's basically canceling out like your original buy costs as far as I'm aware Sol board does that um but if anybody here knows certainly definitely speak up if if you're not if nobody in here is certain I Know Dan that we have in the server uh he's relatively knowledgeable when it comes to cboard and he'd probably be able to answer that question for you yeah because I know when um like a customer returns and it gets
(1:13:52) returned into your inventory I think it does all those calculations like automatically but since it was um claimed like unfulfillable by Amazon I think seller board like thought they were just a loss like a complete loss so right yeah I'll have to look into it I don't know it's a bit confusing um if s if the item was returned to um I it's best for you to just um when you're send it back put it at zero because yeah that's what I was thinking because they already um took back that money from their from your account yeah yeah that's what I was
(1:14:32) thinking and like yeah because I I'm looking at the fee breakdown and it looks like that's how it was calculated it already calculated the like the buy cost in the original sale yeah because if it was sellable um by Amazon um C would have it as okay yeah perfect that's what I thought I just wanted to make sure that I'm not screwing anything up because it's a weird scenario it was it was like about about trading cards too I thought I got frauded and it turns out the customer genuinely didn't want them for some reason maybe he was like
(1:15:19) he wanted them to be absolutely pristine and maybe the cardboard had like a little vent on it or something so he was like turned off and return them that's super rare to get trading carded not ripped open oh my God I thought I was out like 800 bucks I was getting annoyed it was like a big purchase from one person or what yeah he ordered 10 packs like it came out to like 800 bucks byy cost and he returned them and I'm like [ __ ] you know like I saw it I woke up at like 700 a.m.
(1:15:53) and I looked at my sales and I in the morning it was at like $2,000 I'm like wait what the [ __ ] happened something's not right and I look at the sales and I see someone bought 10 packs and I'm like uhoh that's not good I just had like a bad gut feeling and then like a week later he returned them and I'm like [ __ ] H yeah that's but I got lucky I'm grateful 100% because yeah like trading cards are so bad for that yeah people I'm trying to kind of get away from that now a lot of them can be super profitable even still but yeah like people like will rip over
(1:16:24) the packs and get the cars that they want and just send the entire thing back oh [ __ ] you I haven't had any of those yet though and I sold probably like a few hundred units so that's good I think they're pretty good but I think that specific as I'm going to stay away from was it the Connor Bard as by chance no okay I just know a couple of those were selling multiple hundreds of units per month oh no this is a really slow selling one too which is the uh funny thing it was just very high Roi so I'm like screw it all buy some
(1:17:01) gotcha yeah that's super lucky that you actually got them back S I know I open them up and I'm like oh God time to uh do all the cases with Amazon and fight for like a month to try to get this money back and then I'm like wait a second they're all perfect what the hell yeah or like I heard people also said it could have just been a competitor trying to buy out my stock or something because I like looked at the um addresses of all the other selling like sellers on the listings and the address of the buyer and like one of the
(1:17:34) addresses lined up really close with one of the buyers so I don't know yeah it definitely could be like a lot of times that happens like unfortunately most time it's like somebody like really trying to [ __ ] with you and they will intentionally damage your inventory or just like try to fraud stuff off Amazon thankfully it doesn't happen very often but it definitely does I've heard a lot recently that that's happened with um some specific uh Pokemon squish Mellows where some Chinese sellers are listed on they're
(1:18:04) trying to bully people off their listings which is absolutely ridiculous yeah for now I put order limits I don't know if that would really help but like I don't want people doing 10 units in one order for something like that yeah I know like one person I talked to that was doing the Pokemon squish Mellows they had put the order limit on but this was like a Chinese seller on a verified squish Mills product so it's very likely they were uh setting in counterfeit products uh they were trying to bully people off the
(1:18:32) listing and then they were buying their products uh even though they order limit they bought them completely out through multiple accounts so like it's a lot of back and forth of Amazon reporting them trying to get them banned off the platform and just pain in the ass yeah that's messed up you thankfully again like it doesn't happen on many and like I've only seen I think maybe like half a dozen of the Pokemon squish medals at that particular Celler was on so it's not super common but still like how greasy can you be
(1:19:03) yeah I know generally I try to stick with like consumables and that's been good like groceries and like household items and stuff yeah I got I got a question actually for everyone um when do you guys do get Returns what do you guys do with them like do you guys sell them off to like maybe another reseller or you put them up on eBay like I'm just curious what everyone's system is for that like let's say they're open let's say they're open in this case take the mic somebody I want to see what you guys do I I I couldn't answer
(1:19:39) that because I have a pile just filing up me too me too that's why I'm asking death piles yeah I had to remove some uh a bunch of inventory that got taken down from like like took down the listing so I'm like I have no idea what to do with these either they're all like cleaning products so with us like um in the past I've definitely been guilty of building up a very large death pile and not dealing with it CU it's just like eventually it just gets like so much and it's like I don't have the time I don't want to deal with the [ __ ] but then uh
(1:20:16) the very first time when a decent pile built up and we actually started going through some stuff it's like man like we have so much value here and like it's like so much cash sitting around and a good chunk of it was stuff like that we could even just like send it direct back into Amazon we just didn't really pay attention to it um but like I can have like a designated area in the warehouse It's like a table and underneath that table off in the corner where we put all the stuff that comes in until it gets to
(1:20:41) like basically a little bit overwhelming that's like okay we got to deal with this [ __ ] and we separate it out between stuff that's going right back to Amazon uh stuff that is still in decent condition that is still sellable and then and stuff that is straight losses so stuff that's straight losses um it's basically stuff that's either too damaged to sell uh expired uh expired that doesn't have value stuff like that um if we can I'll donate that to like the local homeless shelters and stuff if they can actually use it and it's not
(1:21:13) going to hurt them um other than that it gets tossed we ensure that we record um loss inventory because you can actually claim that as an expense obviously so you guys you want to ensure you are recording lost inventory when you are throwing it away donating it whatever um and then the stuff that we have that is not Amazon sellable uh we then determine what kind of product it is so most consumable products they're not very viable for eBay so most of the stuff will determine okay we're going to I have an employee that will
(1:21:49) specifically spend like a week and do Facebook listings Kajiji listings and deal with the followup for that uh we get through a lot of consumable stuff that way just selling it for typically quite a bit less than retail so like a good example would be um this last Halloween we had a [ __ ] ton of leftover chocolate bars uh like variety packs and by the time we got them back uh they were basically I think they were at their expire date or just passed uh we knew that people would still be interested in those so like uh
(1:22:21) retail price on those variety packs it was something like I don't know 15 bucks and we just made a bulk post on Facebook where just like take these for five bucks a pop one person came and bought them all and I think there was like I want to say it was like 80 units or so so we definitely didn't uh recup all of our money but we got at least some cash flow back that would have otherwise just went in the trash and then yeah so then we split it up with posting on eBay Facebook locally and then usually about one to two times per year if I have
(1:22:50) enough stuff we'll put on a a garage sale or I'll set up at one of like our big Fleet markets in the city but there's definitely still even with all that stuff there does still tend to be some stuff that lingers around so that's the stuff like that um I just give super good prices to people that I know give for gifts donate some extra stuff and just try to get rid of basically any way that I can I don't personally have any good connections with other resellers that have other avenues like Danny might um that would
(1:23:28) definitely be something that's probably a lot more viable I had those connections when I sold video games but not for anything else I'm not sure if you're trying to talk Danny sounds like your mic's cutting not oh sorry my bad my bad no right now I'm just prepping uh and there's an airplane flying over me I'm I have no space in my garage right now so I'm prepping outside in the dark but it is what it is no worries yeah but yeah dealing with dealing with terms is not exciting it's not sexy but it's definitely something that you have
(1:24:06) to deal with or you're just have a [ __ ] there hold on Jesus melony you haven't spoken in the session how's it going good how are you not too bad not too bad how's everybody good return returns are fun no not really it's probably one of the one of besides accounting one of the worst parts of this business I find a lot of the stuff that comes back to me I send right back yeah a good chunk um especially like our customer damage stuff customer damage is probably like 80 plus perent completely resellable even stuff that it
(1:24:52) comes back is I had a pair of I yeah I had a pair of slides sent back today they still have the little stickers on like it didn't fit you okay so why can't Amazon like they're just wasting money Amazon could have just put that right back into my inventory as far as I know the way that it works with Amazon is like if it doesn't come back in the exact same package it went out in and if the worker can't look at it and determine like basically to Split Second that's the same condition they automatically mark it as potentially
(1:25:23) damaged effective Etc because they just don't want to risk a customer potentially getting something that's quote unquote used so they just basically make us deal with it yeah anyway they're going right back tomorrow yeah 100% then there's other stuff I sell on eBay we're trying to sell on eBay what stuff had a listing taken down so it's gonna all they're going on eBay oh just from Amazon gotcha yeah is it like besides that the stuff that got taken down is it like a regular like health and beauty consumable product it's uh food yeah I find a lot
(1:26:03) of food depending on what it is can be kind of tough on eBay a lot of that stuff tends in my experience goes a lot better on Facebook and kiji Facebook Marketplace specifically Facebook I just don't want to deal with people to be honest yeah I get it um yeah so we'll see how eBay goes and then we'll go from there because there's quite a bit of B I just want to recoup my money and move on yeah oh Facebook and kiji can definitely be a pain in the ass if like a lot of people that just flakes or high is is still available and
(1:26:44) it never ANS you back but it it can be super viable if you're willing to deal with it yeah you want to hear a funny story what's up I got um everyone could listen because they are I got it I got an email from Walmart saying my order is ready for pickup I said okay I didn't order anything and I clicked on it and do you know what it was was it more of those inflators yeah how many there two oh still nice just like out of the blue yeah your your order's ready to pick up two two months later nice for a dollar nice can't
(1:27:31) complain with that like an extra 50 60 bucks in profit yeah I'm like is this a joke someone playing a joke on me Walmart and Amazon are pretty good Walmart and Amazon are pretty good for that for like not having stock but then actually eventually fulfilling their order even if it's like a price error or whatever they're pretty good with that that's crazy to me I was like I didn't order anything yeah like not I already got scammed once this weekend what do you mean you got scammed oh so on topic I have the Wendy's app okay
(1:28:12) and I don't know why but I stupidly put money on it so I could just tap when I go through the drive-thru cuz I'm lazy and um so I put 50 bucks on the app app and on Friday night I got a notification that your order is ready to pick up oh no yeah well I didn't order anything from Wendy's so I called Saturday morning their clothes and then I tried to change my password but it wouldn't even let me change my password the guy changed my name to Dave you know Dave Wendy's whatever anyway he thinks he's a smartass and um and then over the weekend he
(1:28:56) decided to go back to the same location and use all my points I had 3,000 points ah shitty yeah so like any idea like it's my first oneone call this morning Wendy's it's like any idea how he got into your account like was your information part of a data leak or something somewhere it must have been no it must have been or it was an inside job because if yeah if you look at the transactions he ordered um he ordered chicken nuggets at 5:30 and at 6:15 and he ordered um a Baconator God and use my points the guy ate good this weekend from Friday to
(1:29:46) Sunday yeah are you able to get any of that refunded or no yeah they'll give it back to me that's I've had it done once before with Wendy's actually where and I know for sure that was an inside job because it was at the store I was at the day before and they went and used all my point points what hard ways that you guys um protect yourself like on the internet um like do you say like your password for sanal on your laptop for ease up um access because yes but I the OTP saved me several times where I'll be just sitting there and I'm
(1:30:39) like um there's a quote sent to my phone I'm like I'm not trying to log in next quote sent to my phone I'm like I'm not trying to log in so then I I have to change my password not save it to my laptop and I just got a new laptop so I'm like I really don't know what to I I don't know what what everyone uses as the password manager I know most people use the Google or the Samsung or the Apple I I have one password which is like an Enterprise solution because I get it free through work but I mean I have it and it works across Windows Mac
(1:31:17) PC Android Apple and so far it works for me because it generates random passwords and whatever so I don't reuse SPS anywhere so Ron with your situation it could have been because it does happen from time to time that especially recently that uh Amazon for some reason just sends out random otps uh I've had I've had times where I got like just otps back to back to back to back and it's just like a random glitch that has happened like over the last couple months so if that's happened to you over the last couple months it
(1:31:51) could have been that it's definitely possibility some got somebody got into your account uh but usually what will happen um if Amazon detects Amazon's pretty good at detecting like potential uh potential break into your account and they will like freeze your account pretty quickly uh if that didn't happen it's very likely it may have just been one of those glitches that have been [Music] happening but yeah like in regards to password management I use last pass so just a password manager like Jaden said um and it's just something that you can
(1:32:26) store all your passwords in it's supposed to be pretty secure um and it can just Generate random gibberish passwords for you because like the worst thing you could do is use the same password across multiple platforms because that way if somebody gets into one thing they're G to get into everything right yeah I think I need to make some changes yeah like my gosh there's like a website you can go on it's called um I think it's called like have I been pwned or something I'll find it here and you can type in your you can type in
(1:33:00) your email address and it'll tell you if that email address has been involved in any major Big Data leaks and so if you're if you type in your email and you've been part of a data breach that means like your information is sitting there and like say like they got um your information for my fitness pal or something and you you have you use the same email and the same password for something else like to get into your email account then all they have access to your email and then they start resetting passwords for other [ __ ] and
(1:33:25) it's like a big string so like you definitely don't want the same passwords for anything yeah I need to change it cuz I know I was involved in a data Leak with a company I worked with years ago yellow pages and they sent us this whole protection thing that they're protecting our our stuff but I don't believe that so yeah I'm going to have to go in and and make some changes for sure maybe do those gibberish ones then sometimes when you do that on the computer and when I go and I try to log in on my phone it's a different one and I get
(1:34:00) frustrated and I have to reset password I do something if you have one that goes across uh multiple platforms it's like you like for example like when I use last pass I can have it on my PC I can have the app on my phone and it will autofill that information for so as long as it's called last last path last path yeah so if if you want to just use it on one device like say just your computer it's free if you want to use it across on multiple devices they charge a monthly fee I don't think it's that expensive yeah like popular ones are
(1:34:37) like last P there's like uh I think there's like Nord pass or whatever that's in I think it's included with nordvpn or maybe additional there's like dash dash pass I believe is like included with dash lane all all kinds of different ones I'm G to go on that that link that you just put in and you're G see yeah you're screwed I'm biased one passord a local Canadian company my God anyway that go ahead I was just going to go on that note is any uh wepn or proxy recommendations you have Jordan more recently with some good deals to we had
(1:35:26) so are you looking specifically for a VPN or for a proxy because they can uh be used for very different things I know I know we did the like ticket resell one obviously that you need proxies probably just a VPN like Canada US for like Uber Eats or whatever I actually don't find that the the VPN actually makes a difference for Uber Eats um I find like some places have like they're still they they either are they either have VPN protection on where they view it as a VPN and they just don't serve you I think that's what Uber eat is
(1:36:04) doing or like your Mac address is still coming through somehow some way um so like with Uber with Uber eat specifically honestly just using like a private browser like Firefox private Brave Etc has worked extremely consistently the thing that the thing that gets clipped more often is the address so I I've been abusing that Uber Eats thing entirely like probably like almost like the last month and uh yeah same using different add using different addresses is is the way to go so like my address for example is like on fake
(1:36:40) street so like 123 Fake Street uh I mentioned that I use an address that doesn't exist so like say 125 doesn't exist you do that or just use fake Street itself without without number and then you can put your address into the delivery instructions and I have found that that works every single time and it rarely if ever gets clipped makes sense I've been I was curious I I know we have Uber Eats I wonder if we can use the same thing for like lift and stuff like I managed to get access to a promo code which gives
(1:37:13) you like $10 off your off like five rides so 50 bucks in total I wonder if you could apply it probably could most likely like like it it all depends on like their system so like for example um door Dash we've tried a little bit things with door Dash but like door Dash can be more of a pain in the ass to get good promos and then also get accounts with um door Dash from what I recall from when we were trying it I don't think you can actually use Virtual credit cards with them I don't remember what we were testing but um yeah it just
(1:37:49) depends on how how easy or how difficult they make it so if you want to either explore that yourself or share it with either myself or Drew like AK we can try to see if we can abuse it and figure out a system we'll do so has anybody else besides myself and Jaden been taking advantage of Uber Eats it's been it's been excellent for myself because I haven't had to cook and I've been getting food for pretty cheap no but I want to maybe tomorrow night but every time you post something you make me so hungry this morning okay so this morning
(1:38:30) I was I was starving and uh there was like a breakfast place that I wanted to get like a proper breakfast from but there are like a couple places on Uber that just don't take that discount code it just doesn't work so like there wasn't like I was going to like proper breakfast place it was going to be like steak and eggs I'm like that's excellent but they didn't take it so I'm like oh damn so then I just decided to uh do important and uh like you get $30 off so it almost prompts me to be a pig because it's like I don't I don't want all this
(1:39:02) stuff but I might as well add on all this other stuff because it's basically free so I only wanted a farmers wrap and a coffee so it would have been the exact same price so instead I got two farmers wraps and extra large coffee uh six assorted Donuts two two two croissants I believe I believe that might have been it and it cost me I think in total with a tip because it's down the street from me I think it was five oh my God yeah I go and look at the instructions again you could also use like your own referral code can't you
(1:39:44) and then get credits on your original account depending on how many times you use it yeah you definitely can for sure um I just don't think you can as Hefty as discounts no you get like 10 or $10 off like five orders or something yeah and it's like it's I think the standard one is like $15 off 20 so it's definitely not as Hefty of a discount but like you can Loop those as well for sure and like right now um AK or Drew he has a bot right now that does something similar for instacart um instacart you can do similar things things but what
(1:40:24) you have to do with instacart is you have to make uh emails sign up with instacart wait a period of time they send you promotions and like instacart will eventually send promotions to most emails for $50 off your first order and um there's additional things that we can do to um to abuse that but they give you $50 off I think it's $125 so he has a bot that actively makes emails signs up for accounts tracks them for promo codes and I can do like a thous like thousands of these in like a minute and then has the ability to place
(1:40:59) orders for you too so so then what you do is you get these promo codes for $50 off of15 uh and you only want $50 worth of groceries so you make an order for your standard groceries for 50 bucks and then additional $75 of just filler items right and then once your uh shopp or whatever it gets assigned you just contact them the chat and you say I no longer want these items so they remove them from your order you still get the promo code it's 50 bucks you get $50 off so all you have to do is literally pay the service fee and the and the tip it's
(1:41:34) pretty crazy yeah I was trying to look up that iCloud thing you mentioned which was to enable private relay that seems like a decent option to kind of get multiple emails too yeah that looks really easy to get good emails it wouldn't be considered like I found like with Uber eat specifically like a regular catch all email like with your own domain doesn't actually work they they clip those easily but the iCloud method does yeah like the the instacart thing is insane because you think about it there's groceries but then there's so
(1:42:11) many retailers on instacart and you can find so many products that you can get and resell it's a super gray area it's not illegal whatsoever you're abusing their system it's very gray and like whether or not it's ethical that's another that's another question but it's kind of insane anybody else in here Nick Nick Ron Evan you guys try out that uh Uber Uber discount loop at all no not yet but it does look very tempting me no uh when you just came up come up with the virtual Visa the the the the car that you load I did
(1:42:58) not know anything about it so I tried it but didn't work for like coo yeah I didn't know anything about it so so but when I when I get back I'm definitely try yeah when you get back let me know if you have any trouble with it um it it seems like when you first look at it you're like oh like this looks like a lot of work but like once you figure it out you spend like the 20 minutes or so takes to figure it out then it gets like really easy um it's not scary it's actually pretty easy to do and then once you once you have a
(1:43:31) system like I like I said the I think it was like last week or the week prior I went to my parents house for for dinner and it took me like I think maybe 10 minutes to place three separate orders for myself my mom my dad and we got like I think it was like1 $120 worth of food for like 30 bucks I had Place three separate orders it's is stupid did you pay with your coo account yeah is that what you're paying with yeah yeah I managed to load that so then with J correct me wrong you you only get one wish card and you have to constantly
(1:44:06) rep replace the old one right it's not that you can have 10 woral cards simultaneously correct so like services like loop I believe you can have a lot more uh but I know like Loop can actually be um a bit more of a pain in the ass for some people to get approved for it takes like actually kind of a process where like Co yeah you like a business account of sorts like technically Loop links to your Amazon uh account to see how much you if you want to get a actual credit from them yeah and like Co you can open up an
(1:44:39) account within a couple couple minutes very very quick but yeah like the thing with Co is like yeah you have to replace your card every time but it's really quick you just literally click replace card and then takes like two seconds and you get a brand new card number maybe they should have some for QuickBooks sign up for a new account each time just migr your books over that'd be such a pain in the ass but yeah like honestly like once you start thinking about things like that way you can start like seeing potential
(1:45:14) like where you can like get potential deals like that consistently over and over like a lot of people just don't think about them to begin with but once you see like how those things work it's like oh God I can apply this to like a lot of stuff yeah say you could look I don't know if you have yet but you could look into factor which is like another meal prep service 100% yeah I just received a bunch of meals my buddy gave me a code you like a referral code and you get six meals for free you just have to pay shipping so it was $9.99 for six meals
(1:45:44) and they're like really good meals pre-cooked you just heat them up so that might be worth it yeah and that's actually one that I wanted to do but I can't get it sent to me cuz they only ship to I think like Eastern Canada mostly oh okay so like we have like the the hello fresh the chef's plate the good food it's just um about some of those some of those they stopped providing free meals they only start they only um we providing discounted meals so we need to restart the loop again but the idea was is like you get a
(1:46:15) box you find a promo code you get a box for basically free cover the shipping and in every single box they would give you three referral codes you give to somebody else for completely free boxes so keep one yourself put the other two in in the server to share with everybody else and repeat the loop over and over again um so yeah I want to do that with Factor uh it's just I need somebody to to get the referral codes to get it going oh right right yeah I think I put one I think I put one up that I received because I get them all the time in the
(1:46:45) condo and the concierge and I check everyone else's that that throws them in the garbage and they're all the same code so it should work um if you posted it tag me in it let me take a look I believe from what I recall when you posted it I believe those ones were discounts I don't think they were fully free boxes from what I recall okay I'll look again cuz they they honestly they send them like once every two weeks and I see everyone tossers in the garbage and I just check to see if I do that with McDonald's coupon sometimes I go digging cuz I like
(1:47:22) them crispy and there's not a lot of coupons in the one I got problems anyway um but yeah every time I find one of those I grab it and they all seem to be the same code they're not unique to like each individual unit but so yeah double check um either tag me in or double check to see if it's like for actual free boxes because we'll find the same thing we'll find the same thing with like hellofresh who owns Factory I believe uh they have the cards which it says your first box is complet free Z and they have ones that says like get
(1:47:54) like $60 off or $100 off across like your first x amount of boxes so like they're discounting like first box like 60% second box 50% Etc ideally ideally because we want to abuse it as much as possible we want the completely free one yeah yeah I'll pay attention to what they're sending I there's always something I do still have from my last hellofresh box a couple fully free Box codes sitting here uh I've been meaning to order a box to see if we get more referral codes in it and start the loop again I just haven't so if I remember
(1:48:33) after the session today yeah because you're getting free from Uber eat so who wants to cook it if you don't have to it hasn't been completely fore you it has pay a little bit but yeah still yeah but still yeah yeah I got to try I'm G to try that tomorrow it's been I haven't tried it yet before before ruins the whole system with all it meals unless uh Uber you post unless Uber East revokes a code which it's supposed to be valid till January 2025 I don't think it's going anywhere oh January 2025 okay yeah and see like door dash for example
(1:49:17) I haven't seen them post codes like that are just that good like uberit has um door Dash they've made it a lot more difficult to get Hefty discounts Uber Eats honestly they kind of did it to themselves it's like $30 off no minimum it's like yeah you're you're definitely have people that are going to abuse that but yeah I can tell you because I got it before I came home uh the $5 foot long is back if you order a couple Foot Longs from Subway is it really with with the re discount 100% oh Lord what is it buy buy one get one
(1:50:06) [Music] for5 no like there was like these these Subs uh the normal cost now is like $15 which is stupid for a sub I got two of them before I left the warehouse to uh one to eat for supper and one to store away until probably tomorrow tomorrow and they're normally $15 each and my order total for the two of them which isn't as good of a deal as some of the other places that I got but the two of them was like just over 10 bucks oh that's a good deal that would have been 30 bucks yeah and like that's $10 with delivery fee in a
(1:50:42) tip no that's really good yeah so you're not eating for free but you're getting pretty close oh that's that's really good no and then I'm paying attention to the buy one get ones there's a couple good tie places around here yeah the one the BOGO offers on Uber Eats yeah yeah yeah I never even paid attention to that until I had food poisoning and you poed that out and I couldn't even order Evan you've been kicking around here haven't said much how's it going uh not too bad um been pretty uh busy actually more so with eBay than uh
(1:51:26) Amazon lately so is that a good thing has eBay been going good yeah well just recently um in uh my town and another another town in the county in which I live um a couple of uh the local libraries I've had library sales so I went to those sales found about um 80 or so books to send to Amazon between them um while I was there I found um some specialty books that were heavily discounted uh I just sold one of them on eBay I paid a dollar for it and I don't think the library staff knew it was a first edition um but I know what to look for
(1:52:05) in first editions so um this was a recently published book that as I said I paid a dollar for and I listed it for uh 54 bucks on eBay and I sold it um it's uh I just I checked the tracking this morning though and uh it's stuck in C us Customs um I just wondered maybe if I had chosen the wrong HTS code so I'm a little bit nervous about it um but uh as I said I found multiple specialty books there including one um that uh I haven't listed yet but it's the comps on it were two $200 or so dollars and it's a a compilation um uh a limited edition
(1:52:45) compilation of photographs um and battle stats from the four 183rd um rcaf Battalion in the second world war sweet those margins you cannot uh you can't really get those anywhere else unless you're doing something illegal no it's it was incredible there and that wasn't the end of it either it was uh I think I found maybe five or six specialty books in total um another one was um a uh it's called um uh flowers or something like that but it was it was a series of um drawings by the botanist Pierre rut um 18th century
(1:53:33) botanist now of course at that time because they didn't have photographs um all images of um of plant life were were drawn and the the quality of the the images or reproductions in this book are uh amazing and that book alone is going for well over $100 it's a vintage book um and I found some DVDs as well I just sold um a four DVD set of that show from the early 2000s um was it the simple life or something with Paris Silton and Nicole Richie okay and yeah I mean I wanted to get rid of that as fast as possible because it's just gross but it
(1:54:10) was it was it was profitable so I just I got it anyway um and uh I also in my town when I was out shopping I noticed um uh in one of the local mes there was a uh discontinued Neutrogena product uh Neutrogena oil-free moisture uh combination skin and I paid about 15 bucks for that and I just sold it for $64 the other day nice and the the best one I've gotten so far was uh again at this Library sale it was at the bottom of a dingy box but thank goodness the the unit itself was in pristine condition it was a three volume um
(1:54:52) empires of early Latin America folio book set and it was selling for well over 100 bucks on on eBay and I paid like $2 for it nice nice yeah yeah well it's good you're it seems like you're kind of like connecting some dots and slowly finding like your specific stride and it seems like especially like with the Vintage books just from like you talking about it that it sounds like you have a decent interest in them as well yeah I mean I love books I read uh extensively and you know have for years um but I'm what I'm realizing is that um
(1:55:27) if I want to earn a living from reselling um assuming that I'm able to to do that that I I have to do it through multiple Avenues I don't think Amazon alone is going to be enough now I know some people can make a full-time living from Amazon um but it's it's a very slow burden for me because it's such a high learning curve uh but for something like eBay for example it's it's pretty pretty simple by comparison and I like different aspects of reselling not just one or the other and I think as a as a rule anyway it's good
(1:55:58) not to put all your eggs in one basket so to speak 100% And like I definitely agree um but also on top of that I always uh personally liked dabbling in like general what I basically call like treasure hunting just exploring places for random things to sell because to me that's a lot more exciting uh find products to sell on Amazon very much so bread and butter pay the bills not super sexy going out to like a random thrift store or like a random dingy garage somewhere and find something that you can buy for a doar and flip like a
(1:56:31) couple hundred that's very exciting oh I completely completely agree it's uh I I'm actually as far as books and uh DVDs and other media are concerned I've had far more luck at library sales and thrift stores because at least in in my area and uh in neighboring municipalities thrift store know what they have now so it's very difficult to find anything that's the least bit profitable and um I I can only spend so much time in thrift stores I think I just have allergies to the dust in them so um it's it's hard for me to
(1:57:07) find anything um anything profitable there at least with any regularity um but the library sale um I had in my community um was just was amazing that the first day was a total [ __ ] show there were just way too many people so I came back the I think 2 or 3 days later and it had really thinned out and I just started scanning indiscriminately um all the books and um I had the thought at the time when I was uh Gathering all these books to just check comps on eBay as well and it's incredible what some books sell for even
(1:57:42) uh Mass Market books um on or certain Mass Market books on eBay um have great comps and they sell for more than they do on Amazon so I thought okay I'll let me pull those books out of the stack and I'll just pick pack and ship the orders myself for those books and uh so I kind of split up the shipment that um I was it was originally for Amazon between eBay and Amazon and uh yeah just the profits are uh the potential profits are incredible 100% that's something that I had on my radar because they not not specifically
(1:58:17) for books but I would like to do it for books too um there was a a YouTuber I used to watch videos quite early on when I was reselling um what was his name uh I think it was retro Rick um he always talked about he he was like a video game reseller and he would always find uh specifically like DVDs and media at uh thrift stores to sell on eBay and he had built a list of profitable DVDs shows series Etc to look out for um I I think I have a copy of his like it's really outdated but it's a list that I believe he made it quite a long time ago I
(1:58:57) wanted to make something similar like that for the group where we could have like a list of basically bolo items for things like very profitable TV series DVDs potential books stuff like that I think that'd be very interesting to build yeah I agree and in fact I have some of the sales already that I have on eBay I can certainly say I'm certainly willing to share screenshots cuz I think these these items that I'm selling sell consistently well especially you know anything like if you're fortunate enough to find folio books which are heavily
(1:59:27) sought after you know the the books with the golden rod Pages um or even just anything limited edition or and even uh and I don't know if there' be enough interest in the server for it but for discontinued products I mean they're they are you know as per their their nature depending on where they are in the cycle of discontinuation um if you can find them you can really clean up on that stuff like uh um I know for example one reseller um who I think a couple of years ago so now uh was fortunate to be in a liquidation store and while there
(2:00:04) found an entire case of Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo which at which had been I think discontinu within the last few years or so but on eBay it was going for like $250 a bottle and the sulur was absolutely solid like holy [ __ ] and they only paid some something like um I want to say maybe $25 for the entire carton so the the profits were just insane Y and no like I think we had that conversation before like you mentioned like I think you took like some type of mini course or got some lists from somebody about discontinu products and
(2:00:39) um yeah I had seen other sellers a long time ago early in my reselling career one that sticks out was a girl on Instagram called Thrift of travel her main thing was Finding like discontinu beauty products and reselling them which I just at that time I'm just like there's no way and like yeah like consistently sold uh shown information about like random shampoos perfumes deodorants but it makes sense because like they're products that people love you can't get them anymore so it's like they have no choice but to find the
(2:01:10) limited Supply uh for a much a much bigger premium so having lists like that I think are very powerful oh absolutely I can I can look up the the name of the other reseller I think I mentioned him before but he uh yeah he had a mini course uh that I completed it was called hidden treasures and uh as part of that course he included a a Bola list of of discontinued products but he's always posting um on his Twitter um what he's picking up while he's out and about and we're and I sort of gives you a general idea of where he's going so what I do I
(2:01:45) check his Twitter um pretty uh pretty um uh regularly and I'll take screenshots of everything that he puts in his feed and I'll just kind of build a database from that and so while I'm out in Abed I'll look for those products now I don't really find um a lot of them I think some of them are just us specific so they you you're not apt to find them here um because we as for Consumer products generally I think in Canada we're a lot more re restrictive as far as what we sell and in comparison to the US um but I have found some stuff I mean
(2:02:17) one uh one item I found the other day aside from the the uh com moisturizer for combination skin my Neutrogena was um something called soras and colar ointment which is an ointment for the relie relief of psoriasis and I just sold that for I think I paid maybe 11 12 bucks for the tub and I just sold it for uh 30 35 bucks and uh I checked the comps afterwards and I saw that there was another seller selling it and they were selling it for like 50 bucks so I just upped my price to $50 yep 100% And yeah like this may not
(2:02:58) be ways that like there's definitely people that scale decent decently profitable businesses doing methods like this I think in general it's it's harder to find that inventory but I think like again it comes down to that treasure hunting and being able to profit so such high Roi in your money it just makes it very interesting and having tools like that are very powerful like I just know from my reset from when I was selling books and from I was selling video games there's some things that you just pick up that you know that are like the gems
(2:03:30) in the industry and if you didn't know this knowledge You' probably pass them over so like the very popular very expensive book that it's like a unicorn that you always have to be on the lookout for is margin of safety I think those books uh if you ever find one it's like an an old investing book they sell for like a couple Grand and if you there's um most historically speaking most sports games and video games are mass-produced not worth anything but there was a certain uh NC NCAA I think it was like NCAA 13 or 12 one of them
(2:04:08) I'll look it up right now random um random sports game but it's very expensive because it was like at the end of the life of like the I think like the Xbox 360 or something and so if you see that most people pass it over cuz it's Sports games everybody knows that they're not worth anything but if you know this knowledge you know it's probably worth like a couple hundred bucks yeah and there's actually um on uh like discontinued and rare products and you're right I mean they are hard to come by but it's for me it's it's uh a
(2:04:38) niche I've been exploring somewhat because of you know not wanting to put all my eggs in one basket so I see it as just another arm of reselling to be to be open to and uh it's and you can actually do research for it too you don't necessarily have to depend on these other resellers to tell you what's discontinued and what's not um an excellent way actually if you're if you're on eBay of finding out what's discontinued and what and therefore what discontinued items to look for is to just type in um something like
(2:05:08) discontinu 2024 in the search um bar and then change the uh the listings to sold and completed and you'll see right there you'll have a curated list of products that are discontinued and that are selling on eBay 100% And that's a really good tip and that's a great way to start building a database Absol absolutely and even some uh like limited edition soda pop and stuff too they're like going for 100 bucks 200 bucks it's just insane yeah there was something that um I had posted about quite a while ago was like
(2:05:46) discontinued a discontinued gum it was like some kind of like Fruit gum that was discontinued and like the a couple dollars a pack and like a case of I think like 12 of them was like selling for like a hundred bucks just is that the the Fruit Stripe gum or whatever it is yeah that's what it was yeah when I came when when I came I came across that I was like serious yeah yeah so in that in that respect it's been going pretty good for eBay I know eBay's a lot uh has been a little bit more work because you got to
(2:06:19) ship the the stuff yourself but I mean thankfully now on eBay because the uh heavily discounted shipping has been extended indefinitely and getting a lot more customers a lot more Americans cuz you know America Americans there's just a lot more Americans that shop on eBay than than Canadians I mean my orders within Canada are few and far between most of them just go to the US so it's been really helpful that eBay has now negotiated such huge discounts on the shipping labels because before they were just so expensive that even with the
(2:06:50) exchange rate most Americans just wouldn't consider buying from Canadians yeah definitely a long time coming and like I find it's mostly like your general smaller items I don't find like they're too heavily discounted with like very large items still like a like decent compared to what it used to be but definitely they like your standard size items but yeah like forever they relied on PayPal for their payment system you always had to use a third party uh shipping service you couldn't buy labels directly through eBay so like
(2:07:17) in Canada we always have to use shipo uh so it there super slow to ad to adapt over these last couple years brought payments in house started offering their own shipping labels and negotiated those I think they're going in a very good direction yeah for sure and I was actually talking to an eBay rep the other day because I had an issue with one of uh with one of my orders and um she just mentioned to me when I was speaking to her that um that um eBay Canada is now implementing a feature whereby if you um if you off if you make a best offer on
(2:07:54) an item as a buyer you have to put up the money because part of the issue I've been having with some of my orders is that you accept the best offer and then the buyer just ghosts you and so your and so your products are left in limbo for you know several days and if they're a hot selling product you could have sold it already so now what eBay is doing gradually is with everything else is they're making the buyer put up the money up front so that as soon as you accept the the best offer the sales final that's amazing if they're actually
(2:08:24) doing that because I've seen eBay like really big eBay sellers asking for that for decades so yeah I I've experienced the same and that would be a very killer change yeah it's it's in beta right now I think it's just in the US of course because it's the largest Marketplace um and then gradually it'll make its way over here so I think they're just kind of testing it out now to see how it works but it would be um amazing if it if it worked here and I'm just I'm surprised to just with uh um on eBay specifically even so quote unquote
(2:08:58) ordinary or widely available um beauty products um especially ones you can get on clearance at Walmart and other places you can sell them for quite a decent amount of money so one product I came across um recently on Walmart I'm not selling it anymore on eBay because it's uh the sulfur rates declined but this past winter the sulfur rate on the product was amazing it was uh an andal Naturals uh brightening cream it was on for $7.
(2:09:27) 50 on clearance on Walmart and so I bundled it all together like maybe in say you know a batch of 10 units or 20 units or whatever and it was just flying and so I kept I must have ordered probably like two 300 units back to back and they all sold Beauty excellent but yeah like eBay just in general has been surprising me with this last little while because also forever um we always had issues when listing products because whenever we went to click on a product if it was a us-based product and we clicked on have one have one like this or like sell one like this
(2:10:05) to piggyback off the listing it would always default to ebay.com instead of ebay.ca and it would always by default if it did that gave you us shipping options so we always had to make sure that we switched the the URL from Toca and just a pain in the ass but I've noticed like actually recently they've actually fixed it and it it was like that for years and just randomly one day they fixed it I'm like oh my God like it was such a pain in the ass like we have a guide for it in our resources but they they actually fixed it so I'm quite
(2:10:36) impressed with them yeah they're definitely getting a lot better but I think it's just because there are so many other marketplaces now that are coming online and so they realize they have to step up their game if they want to keep their customer base yeah I've also heard that um eventually in the near future they want to start implementing something similar to FBA but for General products so you can basically you can send in your antique Collectibles whatever you want to eBay and they will fulfill it for you like
(2:11:05) Amazon so that would be very interesting yeah that would be great especially if you're if you're looking to scale um even I know a couple of um uh what they YouTubers who are book sellers and they sell exclusively on eBay they don't sell on Amazon and I you know I thought that was pretty peculiar because you know Amazon's sort of the standard for for used books but um there's this lady in Australia um I think her what's her channel name I think it's called back from burnout I want to say so she specifically focuses on uh bundling books um by uh by
(2:11:44) Theme by genre Etc and she sells them in bulk on eBay so like maybe a batch of four or five and she makes pretty good uh pretty good sales doing it um but she's I mean her her most common complaint is that she's always running out of space because of course books occupy a lot of space physical books so something like that for even for a book seller on on eBay or somebody who sells books exclusively on eBay and bundles would be would be fantastic 100% And I think like one of the things that most people were kind of like hoping for
(2:12:19) looking out for would be eBay implementing a a listing system similar to Amazon where it's like one main listing and then you list on it so you don't have to make unique listings for everyone so if they implemented something like that I think that may also be potentially interesting it might take away from like how eBay is right now because as it is right now you can definitely command a higher price versus other products if you just have a better listing better pictures Etc so I'm wondering how much it'll change if they
(2:12:46) Implement like a similar listing system that Amazon has yeah and then I mean there is a well there's a number of dangers there I mean one of which is that if they if they to align themselves too closely with Amazon they're going to start to lose their identity as the marketplace that they are um so there's a kind of a fine balance that they have to strike there and there's and in comparison to to Amazon eBay is a lot more personal so it's more like um it's more like a a tradition what a traditional Market used
(2:13:18) to be you know where you have sellers and buyers and they hangle over prices right except it's just a a digital representation of that but with Amazon it's basically an impersonal amorphous Force right 100% and like if eBay brought stuff in house to do some type of fulfillment system they may end up being forced to do like a system like that to just for their own Logistics so it'd be very interesting to see what they do over the next 5 10 years yeah so I mean eBay's been growing great lately I've kind of slacked on uh
(2:13:51) Amazon so I need to get I need to get back on to to Amazon but like I said it's just it's a huge learning curve for me and uh cuz it's something that was has been brand new like I sold on eBay on and off for years so the learning curve wasn't that great for me I ended up stopping um on eBay years ago because the the shipping fees were just too high but things have changed now and so it's it's there's a lot of opportunity right so for sure I always think like on eBay in general like even in Canada I know like a a big complaint was always those
(2:14:22) shipping fees but there was always some form some place where you can carve out your own path to still be profitable because I had sold on eBay myself for many many years and successfully sold a lot of stuff to a lot of Americans um but like it typically wouldn't be stuff like potentially like the beauty proxy gone clearance at Walmart because the shipping would eat into too much of it it was more so like things like discontinued electronics that like the the total value that they're going to pay is going to be the same even with
(2:14:51) our shipping versus like a US seller I just had to adjust according to the market but it's getting a lot like you mentioned a lot more fair for Canadians and a lot more accessible so yeah had a quick question on eBay what's up Jade um like shipping so like in this case like the messy thing I haven't received the product yet so I've obviously put it as confirmed order in terms of shipping I put buo based shipping now I don't have any idea what the weight I mean obviously I could probably look at the website and see potential
(2:15:27) weight Dimensions but is it sometimes just fair to be like yeah you know what $20 flat fee shipping charge call it a day kind of thing for for items that are that large because it's actually like a fairly large fairly heavy item I think you're going to end up losing too much if you do a flat fee shipping especially like if you are doing like flat fee shipping to the US or like International you had like somebody from like Japan order it from you uh something like that I actually had a couple people ask me for what they should use for Dimensions
(2:15:59) so what I did is I just looked up a something that would be comparable so I looked up an eight pack of Gatorade on Amazon which gives you the actual physical dimensions and so the apack Gatorade on Amazon was just over 29 CM by just over 14 by just over 19 and 5.22 kgs so we just want to increase increase that a bit to account for packaging and ensure that you're not going to undercharge so I told most people you'll probably be relatively safe if you do 35 cim by 20 x 20 and six kgs fair enough yeah so when I come across stuff
(2:16:38) like that I try to be I try to make as good of a guesstimation as I can and then over guesstimate slightly just to ensure I cover my ass because I don't want to have to pay out extra money myself for shipping I mean it has happened in the past but yeah does eBay give like a preference I mean I know there's you can obviously increase your price and do free shipping or flat rate I assume you know some buyers will look at total price at the end of the day right but I'm guessing if it's estimated based on location then that might end up being
(2:17:10) cheaper or less depending on how close or how far so for someone it might turn out to be a good yeah so I believe it's mostly based on total price um some eBay sellers that I follow that are pretty large into eBay have ran some experiments I haven't done it myself so it's third party knowledge but they had said prior years they had always found more success with charging more for their selling price but offering free shipping over the last couple of years that's actually changed and they haven't found it actually makes
(2:17:40) much difference if any by having a lower price and offering calculated shipping so I think just overall most things come down to if you are price competitive overall for the price plus shipping and that you have a good overall listing I think a lot of people downplay like how important listings are especially for used products a quality listing with good and LW pictures can make a world of difference yeah like I think for the mass stuff like obviously it's pre-order but as soon as mine arrives showing that I have inhand pictures even though might
(2:18:17) not be looking as pretty I think that helps right 100% not with everything but with a lot of stuff in hand definitely helps when a seller can or when a buyer can see in your pictures or in your title and you obviously adjust your shipping time accordingly because they just know that it's in hand they're going to get it sooner and they don't feel like they're going to potentially get ripped off I've always found there's still like that kind of element of like oh I'm potentially going to get screwed over on eBay even though that never happens and
(2:18:48) eBay will always make things right I think there's just kind of like in that back of your mind it's like I there's a possibility I could on that note of deals is anyone into like phone deals and like mobile providers reason being like Freedom mobile if anyone's on freedom and has like I could probably post this in the server and it's like have any old Samsung Galaxy phones they have some pretty decent deals right now which basically gives you a phone for free and know there's any appetite for that though I'm assuming between all the
(2:19:26) people that we have there's probably at least one or two that definitely do I've been looking into switching my provider because I've seen places like freedom and uh whatever it's called kudu or Coto uh they're because they're massively cheaper than who I'm with Tellis so I posted about it a while ago just ask people's opinion and oh you want to tell us like personal plan or business plan cuz I know with business you get like two or three lines typically which can fairly cheap at that point if you have like a small business contact I have I
(2:19:56) have two separate business lines because of reasons for different Amazon accounts um but yeah like each one costs me I think like 80 or 90 bucks a month so it's not super it's not super cheap and kud hopefully you're getting a free phone with that no I'm I'm definitely not uh the one phone that I have like my main driver is a phone that I bought outright when there was a super sick deal on uh the Galaxy flip phones like many many like probably like a year ago they were like yeah there's a price a on Samsung bought a couple sold them kept
(2:20:32) one for myself and then um yeah the other phone that I have from other businesses just like a a Motorola smartphone that I bought outright from Costco yeah so like that's that's one of them like so the new Galaxy flip is out and on freedom you basically trade in your old old flip and they give you an extra bonus credit so basically you pay $0 for the phone up and it's yours you're just on a 2-year contract with them and they give you a $200 monthly $200 credit anyways which goes on your monthly bill so you're paying that zero
(2:21:04) for a new phone do you have to do you obviously probably have to pay like monthly financing then to actually pay off the phone I would imagine uh no it's basically a my tab and since there's a tradeing so they're giving you I think they give you $800 just cuz you're on a two-year plan with them and then they giving you $800 for any Samsung phone like any Samsung Galaxy phone back to like five generations ago so you're getting a $800 trade in credit which basically makes the net cost of the phone down to like I
(2:21:34) think $20 which gets split over like 24 months interesting I mean need look at that and just buy a generic use phone off of eBay yeah any like Galaxy series phone I think counts see find the link but yeah like when I was looking into like freedom and kudu like their plans are like3 30ish dollars a month I was like that's kind of crazy considering I pay like 3x that right now oh yeah like Freedom's plan which they want you is to go on like a $50 plan and then they or $60 plan they give you $5 for just having auto pay and then they give you
(2:22:12) like another $20 coupon or whatever so yeah and like their plans are usually Canada US roaming all inclusive so both US Canada for like I don't know 40 50 bucks the only thing is coverage hoping you're in a place where you have normal coverage but like with Wi-Fi calling now if you're on Wi-Fi who cares it's pretty good I don't think I've ever done I don't think I've ever done Wi-Fi call in my life okay I've done that when I was in Florida I just turned on Wi-Fi collie and you can answer your phone anywhere that you're in Wi-Fi it's great
(2:22:54) free but you're paying a lot Jordan I know like most PL that's not cool especially for you I know I but like I honestly I'm pretty sure like standard plans are around here in sasun I'm pretty sure that's pretty typical really cuz in Toronto I pay 50 bucks and I have 100 like 120 gigs of data oh I don't even think just giving it away I don't think I have that I think like my plan's like 20 25 maybe yeah you need to call who you with Tellis yeah you need to call them because they got all kinds of plans I don't know if Tellis I don't know if
(2:23:37) they actually have very good deals theis gu called me every second day yeah those plans should be 50 bucks then Belle Belle is offering $50 you you spoke to your friend $50 they they're offering like 120 gigs for $50 match it or bye-bye so I'm looking at ts's plans right now online and their cheapest plan that's doesn't just include voice is that that that actually looks like a better plan than mine it says 5G essential on 5G Central un limited 75 it's $60 per month tell me you have 5 what's that Jaden please tell me you
(2:24:29) at least have 5G yeah I'm pretty sure I do okay I probably couldn't care less if I did but I'm quite certain I do um no but it's important for your your speed and stuff you do you say you do so much on your phone no I don't do I don't do a lot on my phone I'm usually on my computer oh well right there you save $30 already yeah I don't know why I haven't even switched yeah oh no no no no this doesn't count it says it's only for Home Services customers so you have to have some other plan with them that's [ __ ] I'm sure you can get small
(2:25:12) business account deal usually they give you free phones too with whatever you want I have personally found when I looked for phones before when my contract was up with Tellis they didn't offer any actual free phones they were quote unquote free up front but you were financing them every month for 10 20 30 bucks a month I'm like [ __ ] that unless yeah unless you have a really good tradeing offer or something then it may make sense and then you're stuck with them for like two years yeah I'd rather just buy a phone out
(2:25:42) right yeah find one at a time one at a time oh I'm getting crazy because I want to call your for your phone right now that drives me nuts I phone for all my friends I got everyone the best deal 50 bucks I'll probably just end up switching to like kudu or Freedom or whatever when I've had on my radar even Bell is $50 I think I think I'm with B it's $50 flat rate plus your taxes I think $57 mon I think kudu is cheaper let me check uh it's been on my radar my area my area it's not good reception to be honest um I pay $47
(2:26:29) for k for cudu C I don't know how you say it yeah I pay $47 but um you can you can um call internationally is it yeah you can call in us which is sucks yeah I'm not like overly concerned about that I don't really do that many calls in the US um if you have like the option to like pay like long distance per call I think that's fine but like um yeah like it looks like they have a plan for $39 a month that offers 20 gigs of data so that's basically comparable to my plan except for I don't yeah it doesn't have unlimited uh us calling which I hardly
(2:27:19) ever use and it's way cheaper I remember and uh I got a build for like $17 I was like [ __ ] but yeah like I mean my internet was like that not that long ago um I was with Shaw forever and service was fine never had any complaints with them but I'm pretty sure when I left Shaw my bill just for Internet was like over 100 bucks a month and then Costco last year had that deal where it was um with Primus I think it was um and it was like similar speeds I don't remember I think it was like 75 megabits per second or
(2:28:03) whatever and I want to say my bill was like 25 30 bucks a month now it's like just and like I've had no complaints with the service like when I I've heard Primus is like super shitty for customer service if you do actually need them but I haven't needed them the I when I originally set it up they just uh mailed me um like a little kind of shitty modem and like these mesh Wi-Fi routers um and when I first set it up there was an issue getting it set up to begin with to work properly uh but it was my fault I wasn't plugging in the
(2:28:39) mesh routers correctly and so once I figured that out I haven't had any issues since yeah it's kind of crazy if how like how much price difference you can have for basically the same thing and there are people out there who like what Finance cars are like 20% APR like or 25 you're like dude you can put that on a credit card it's cheaper like it's like the the people on who might be lower down the the I guess the pole get shafted the most of the highest rates and the people who have the most money in the bank account get
(2:29:19) the best rates it's very expensive to be broke always has been it's always very expensive to be broke it's ridiculous um because I have it up on my screen here Evan I wanted to mention I think this was the best book that I have ever found it was a book I think it was originally produced in the 70s I think and it wasn't in production for very long cuz the Catholic Church at the time actually wanted to get it pulled so I don't think it was in production for very long uh it is a first edition that I found it has the the cover the dust
(2:30:01) jacket everything is very Primo but it's I think it's on the first page it has some slight water damage which is very disappointing uh but this is the book I actually kept it for myself but this book here this one looks like it's probably overall probably like the same condition as mine my dust jacket is better but I have the water damage inside this one is currently listed on eBay for $188 so I'm going to post this one in the voice chat General chat this was actually a book I was personally looking for it's super hard to find if you want
(2:30:33) original copy it's super expensive I found one I was super stoked about it uh but yeah I think that was like the best besides like some textbooks I think this was like the best value book I ever found okay I haven't se haven't come across that one before but but I believe it because the uh those types of books the esoteric books are the more um uh limited Publications are the ones that fetch the most money I even found some uh the uh monographs by various theologians of monographs that have been long since at of print and um they've
(2:31:09) fetch an incredible amount of money despite the fact that um their uh the scholarship them in them nowadays is widely disregarded yeah 100% there's also a book that it's not just specifically a book it was a specific I guess you call him an artist or author or some I don't know what exactly you would call him uh the author I guess you call him HR gger he always made very occult weird picture books very very out there they're always like very interesting very very detailed and some of his books are absolutely like
(2:31:49) ridiculous like some of them sell for like upwards of thousands of dollars and they look like very weird like aliens monsters ancient Egyptian stuff and I I was always look out for one of those I want one of those put on my shelf I think it looks cool I justes want to pay hundreds of dollars for one yeah you're happy to pay a few dollars for it and sell it for a few hundred but don't pay a few hundred bucks 100% to have something cool that looks on that like looks cool on my shelf I definitely don't want to pay more than a
(2:32:17) couple bucks yeah it's just unfortunate that in I'm not sure if this is true in most areas but in my area the library sales are are seasonal it's just too bad that um I wasn't close by an ongoing um an ongoing sale I think there's there might be one or two in uh the Niagara region which is just borders where I live and uh that has a couple of them but uh they're seasonal so you really have to make sure that you make it work here well when they do have them yeah I know here in Saskatoon um it was at the at the point when I was
(2:32:52) selling books I think that Library shut down now but they had a permanent Library sale um in the basement of the library you go there anytime and that's where I ended up getting a lot of books once I made a personal connection with one of the volunteers there I ended up being able to get first access to the books that was like there was like the first basement and then there was like the second basement that's where all their overflow went first before it came into the main public sale uh when their shelves had some empty space on them so
(2:33:19) every every week or every two weeks I got to go into that room take my choosing of the books and then the rest of the stuff would end up going out so that was really sweet um but yeah like do you guys also have um like yearly Friends of the library sales as well or is that what those are yeah they are held by the the friends of the the library um in the in the county where I live it's uh the library system is integrated so you have um multiple libraries that that are just under organized under um one heading um but um each Library
(2:33:53) within that system has its own friends of the library um group um or starting to anyway um my my local library or my branch of the the library was uh has had F Friends of the library group for years but now we're just starting to see those those kinds of groups um uh form other libraries within the same network and so they're starting to have their own books sales so there's even more opportunity that's coming through them but yeah they're mostly Friends of the library because you know as a public entity libraries are not permitted to sell
(2:34:28) anything um and so they have to have those those groups that collect that money for them and then donate the money back to them that's so stupid that's so DB it's it's ter it's so terrible and libraries are there they have these sales in the first place because they're so terribly underfunded because most people just view them as you know archaic institutions full of Dusty irrelevant old books but for um but based on my own experience or my own observations of not just my local library but other libraries within the
(2:35:00) the library system in my County it's it's a social outlet for people and most people here because it's a rural area um they they depend upon the library system for internet access because they don't have it at home so right now here in Ontario there's um a provincewide um effort um co-sponsored by the federal government to install broadband internet access throughout the province and they're just doing that right now in our County but the problem is that you still have to pay for it so even though the infrastructure is there um a lot of
(2:35:34) families in the area who are living on you know minimum wage um or trying to live on minimum wage as if you can live on it um they still couldn't afford the internet access anyway even though the infrastructure is there so they still depend on the library yeah 100% And like that's something that's always been very wild to think about just because of you think like the internet cell phones Etc are so widely accessible and there every integration of life that there's still people in our societies that don't have just personal
(2:36:09) access to those it's very very interesting it's sad in a sense but very interesting yeah and it just speaks to how essential those those uh you know libraries are for for people of any age not just not just children and our our library system thankfully has a variety of programs um that um are funded almost entirely by that seasonal book sale that they have because it's just how much revenue it gers right and yeah when I went to my library when I was selling books like the first time I went there and found that they
(2:36:46) had that little Library store in the basement I probably hadn't been to a library in over a decade like probably like since even longer when I was in elementary school and went there talking to the volunteers there and like they're telling me like oh yeah like you can come here you can get video games and audio books I'm like what I had no idea you could do that to the library yeah I mean that was um years ago when uh we still had video stores um you know like Blockbuster and others and you could rent video games consoles cuz
(2:37:20) at that time video game consoles were so expensive that you pretty much had to rent them if you wanted to use them so whenever I'm not a gamer anymore but when I was as a teenager I would rent the console for the weekend and then I would I would rent the games from the library because the game the library was free and I didn't have to pay to rent them at the video store I only had to pay to rent the console yeah with my childhood I was certainly a gamer but I was always like I don't know three or four generations behind because
(2:37:51) my family was broke so we uh when you know like the PlayStation 2 was popular I'm pretty sure I still had an original Nintendo yeah I had the I had the N64 for the longest time and I really wish I would have kept it but I had some of the old um James Bond games um on them and the first I think it was the first version of the first Quake video game and uh yeah I really wish would have kept that stuff but of course I mean you don't know it's valuable at the time or that it will be later right of course yeah like I mean when I was a kid
(2:38:27) I had a ton of Pokemon cards and I would imagine that they were probably first edition because like when they first came out and now you see how much some of those cards sell for and sealed packs it's like oh my God I could have been a millionaire yeah same thing with like uh I'm surprised it was even with um with certain PC games so if you can find um an original uh seal bu and of course I mean that's very difficult to find um Halo PC game like you could you're talking like over a th000 bucks easily for that and uh eBay I think now even
(2:39:01) has an authentication Service you can use so if you have you know an autographed um an autographed or signed book or you have an n6 sealed N64 game or something like that you can actually send it to them they'll authenticate it for you and uh I think still have to list it but at least with that Assurance because there's there's so many counterfeits out there you can you get a little badge that you put on your listing and it actually um elevates it in the search results so and I'm not sure I don't think I think they charge they charge a
(2:39:34) fee for it obviously but it's a very small amount in comparison to what you would pay if you had to go through a you know a COA service do you know like with that service cuz I know like it exists especially like with shoes you may have that for a long time where you sell it you send it to them when it's been sold they authenticated and send it to the buyer uh do you know like what that service you actually send it to eBay in advance and they authenticate it and send it back to you yeah I think you might be right
(2:40:02) maybe I I got that I got that the other way around um but I maybe it was just that the authentication Service um it as you were saying it was it was limited to shoes but I think they've expanded it now so there are multiple categories of products that you can have authenticated it's not just you know shoes or whatever um you know precisely because of the riseing counterfeit products for sure yeah it's a really nice service to have I wish it was easier to get um things like trading cards and collectibles and
(2:40:34) stuff graded in Canada it's you have you always have to send them to the US generally um specifically because I have an old Michael Jordan card kicking around from like 1988 and I think if that card is a PSA 10 the last time I looked it up I think it was worth like five or six grand I don't know if mine would be it's always been in hard plastic ever since I've had it and it looks super clean but I've always been meaning to send it off to get graded it's just I don't want to go through the process and potentially lose
(2:41:05) it yeah don't blame you because there's a lot of unscrupulous people in the marketplace for Collectibles yeah or doesn't matter of things getting damaged when they get sent or whatever well this is why I'm kind of apprehensive now that that first edition book I um I sent is held in customs cuz you ordinarily when stuff is held in in customs at least in my experience they have to breach the package because they're the preliminaries can indicate something suspicious I'm like oh no because if you breach that package
(2:41:36) because of the way that I packed it they could damage the book so depending on how they open it yeah in general like books are pretty resilient so hopefully you'll probably be okay but yeah I mean you always have to hope but books are pretty generally pretty solid yeah I have to say I'm kind of surprised that they sidelined it because it's uh maybe maybe it was the case that I chose the wrong HDs code I mean that that chart um the the Tariff schedule chart from the US government is really hard to read um so I basically just have
(2:42:11) to make my best guess whenever you have to input that code I know eBay for the longest time you could bypass inputting that code um but I think um for certain uh shipments no I've actually had to input the code I couldn't proceed with printing the shipping label without inputting that code so I just chose the one for hard-bound books and hoped for the best but I don't know maybe that was uh a category for collectible books CU some of the the language that they use in that uh um in that tariff schedule is a bit outdated so if you're sending say
(2:42:43) DVDs or BHS or or other movies they don't classify um those media colloquially in the the schedule and so instead of referring it to to those media as movies as we would as in you know everyday vernacular they refer to it as Motion Pictures but nobody calls movies Motion Pictures yeah but I I I believe in general like they don't hold the lot of that against you I think as long as you're not intentionally trying to skirt the system and you're trying to use your best judgment they may stop it they may inspect it but chances are you'll
(2:43:22) probably be fine in terms of like potential issues at the border the thing you probably have to wor about the most is the actual package the actual book getting damaged but as for like fines and potential um getting in trouble it's probably extremely unlikely yeah I mean I have you're probably right because I I've I've sent over a lot of beauty products over the years and I've never really had any issue and of course those are POS a much higher risk than say uh than than books do um I did learn my lesson once though with trying to send
(2:43:53) something aerosolized um so those can result in fins oh yeah yeah I mean that was it was stupid I was like yeah maybe I shouldn't send hairspray over the Border yeah even like shipping in Canada like if you're doing like Hazmat shipments for Amazon if you don't have the proper do stuff the claims the forms Etc they can be some pretty [ __ ] Hefty f yeah I mean I just I had a few listings that were up and I didn't uh um after the fact I just pulled them right down because I thought you know I'll try to just sell these on Facebook Marketplace
(2:44:29) even though I hate Facebook Marketplace um because it's just most of the time it's just a bunch of Tire kickers or other non-committal people right um and even though you can have a great listing in Facebook you explain you know exactly what the customer getting and you still get stupid questions or you still get people who when they show up to to buy the product from you say oh I only have this much money even though you in greed upon a higher price just that stupid [ __ ] right y I think people have told me that I
(2:45:02) think I just kind of look like an [ __ ] so I think people just think I'm intimidating so I don't have that a whole lot myself I had it once where I was selling a gold ring and a a very adamant very small I want to say she was a Chinese lady we agreed on her price before she came and like that's the price and then she came and she tried negotiating with me I'm just not having it and I just looked at her just like no and she's like oh okay and just it just stopped right there and she gave me the money I'm like yeah thank
(2:45:34) you well I ended up with uh I made a purchase from uh I think it was a wholesaler in the states just to get uh um ungated in uh pet food and Supplies on on Amazon and I didn't really want to sell this product because the the uh the uh the sales data on it was pretty uh pretty abysmal so I just decided to list the bottles on Facebook Marketplace and they had somebody uh come to the house to to pick it up and we greet and I think it was a really cheap price for a rate and so she she came conveniently with only a $20 bill and a $100 bill and
(2:46:08) we agreed on 35 bucks and this this $35 for pet shampoo like I mean some pet shampoos will cost you $35 a bottle so she was getting a really good deal and uh because I don't have resting [ __ ] face she she thought she could take advantage of me and uh so I just said to her well I guess you don't get the shampoo then she said well I drove all the way here from wherever it was I said well you know that's not my problem I guess you'll have to drive back or drive to the bank it's your choice and then suddenly of course she dug into her bag
(2:46:37) and found the extra 10 bucks yeah it's like no I always got a eat transer you can send it to me and I can wait right here until I get it I gave her that option too she's like well I don't like giving out my information I said well I'm not going to see your bank account number if you send it to me um it was I think it was no like October November whenever um in the server we had like pretty good deals on razor laptops I'll look at my order history but there was these Razer gaming laptops I bought a couple of them
(2:47:06) because they looked very promising to resell I sold I believe I sold one on eBay and one locally or they might have been both locally but this was back in November um guy came to pick it up and he was probably like around the same age as me and again I think I just look like an [ __ ] um but he like it's brand new in the packaging I'm always like very straightforward people I'm like here it is if you want to open up and test it certainly feel free um but he's like yeah he's like can I can I like open it up and then um he
(2:47:43) seemed like very skittish and then he was testing it and then uh he like seemed like very nervous he's like are you okay like with e transfer I'm like oh yeah like not a problem like I'm trying not to be ad dick to him and then uh he kind of opened up to me I was like like you like you're scared of bringing cash he's like oh yeah I never bring cash in first time meeting I like you think I'm going to rob you he's like kind of I'm like okay I'm like fair enough though well it's good to have inspire a little bit of fear in people I guess I
(2:48:15) guess I don't think I look scary I think I just look like I guess people make a similar a similar assumption about me until I actually start um or make the opposite Assumption of me until I start talking because they um there's so much that uh in the way that you appear that people just conduct themselves accordingly it's kind of ridiculous 100% when I was that uh corporate corporate drw in the instruments industry I used to dress up fairly nice whatever dress shirts dress pants nice shoes and um there was times where I would going
(2:49:01) to the same bank because I had my personal bank at that bank I would go in it like say after work one day fully dressed same exact teller very different attitude towards me like a couple weeks apart so obviously did not recognize me so dress very nice go in there treated very professionally whatever and then going there day off in my regular scrub clothes treated very very differently I was like that's I hate people that do that I understand that it happens and there's a lot of bias but I'm like yeah that's I hate when people do that
(2:49:35) and it was very interesting to see like that experiment just directly with myself just same person didn't seem like she was in a a shitty mood that that day whatsoever but treated extremely differently I've had a lot of similar experiences too and uh not so much with how I've dressed but how I've looked so I mean like most people throughout their throughout the course of their lives have been different weights and you know right away when I notice I surpass a certain threshold um say if I weigh more than a certain amount um I start to get
(2:50:09) treated with contempt more regularly but when I weigh below that amount um you start to have uh people are a lot more gracious and forgiving and understanding with you so it's not it yeah so it's not just what you wear but it's also like how much weight you're carrying it's just ridiculous yeah know I've seen that kind of stuff all my life I mean like I have good friends of mine that literally have face and neck tattoos and they look super scary but like they're for the lack of better words [ __ ] so I mean and
(2:50:42) like people treat them like oh my God this guy's gonna kill me it's just it's just funny to see how people react just because of so how the way somebody looks well yeah I mean it's you're you're assessing that person based on if their appearance that as if it has suggest or has anything to do with their character but I mean in most cases the somebody's outward appearance is erotically divorced from their character yeah 100% so Ron are you still kicking in Jamaica then yeah I'm coming up um W this Wednesday finally my sales have been
(2:51:27) affected badly you haven't been ordering anything at all since you've been in Jamaica yeah but the person that I that would pack on sine came down um two weeks ago so and then she I am very demanding person and I pay I'm I was paying her and um and it seemed as as if I needed to beg her to do her work uh so I was like e it I'm not I'm not going to deal with you really and truly I was just stop paying you you decide what you want to do but I was over over it with her to be honest so uh a looking to feel good was it
(2:52:20) somebody that you knew personally or was it just kind of like a random person that you found no it was a family member but um I am very I'm very let's see serious when it comes to business right as as a lot of people kind of have to be if you want if you want to take a business seriously completely understanding yeah but I wanted to ask a question as it regards to can can our random seller uh list a product with the brand name in it like the you know when we know when you click on the this blue stuff is it does not say
(2:53:01) generic it would say like apple so you want you want to know if a random seller can sell that product or if they can make a listing yeah can they make a listing and have like like apple in it ra rather than generic so so in my day which sounds ridiculous I don't think I've even been doing this that long uh you could Amazon quite a few years ago they made a change where it had to be less about the brand in the description I don't remember exactly what the change is but I can find it just give me a second I don't
(2:53:39) make that many listings myself so I'm not a great person ask for listing making but I do know that a change was made in regards to that if anybody else here knows that while I'm looking it up please feel free to chime in because I know like I was on a listing that um with several other persons and I know the person that had that listing um changed it change it up where they add stuff to it um to make it their own kind of private label and everything and I see where other sellers Branch off and made a different L thing
(2:54:17) but he on generic and I'm not going to go on a generic listing so I was like let me leave it alone but I know the stuff very profitable so I was like scoring Amazon to see if I see a similar listing that has the brand The Branding on it so I do know like obviously um listing hijacking does certainly take place it's actually fairly complicated to do but the people that do it can be pretty good at it and they hijack it some people change the entire listing to a completely different product some just change the brand name
(2:54:53) or you know little details whatever um for most listings like say like for example if I'm looking at say like a Paul Mitchell product and it says instead of Paul Mitchell it says the brand is tea tree I'm not typically too cautious about that because I'm still selling the actual physical product my main concern would be whether or not the customer is going to be upset and get something that they were not expecting it's very unlikely that that person that changed the listing to a different brand name or their own brand name is going to
(2:55:28) be able to Brand register that product although possible not likely um it's it's not likely that they're going to be able to Brand register it and completely control that listing so I'm not usually concerned about it and they don't own the brand so it'd be very difficult for them to do things like IP complaints the real only real concern that you may have with somebody attempting to manipulate listings would be somebody that's also willing to potentially play dirty and potentially like buy up your stock submit counterfeit claims stuff like
(2:56:04) that but even so I don't find that's a major issue so I want to find like a good example so like there's this one here where it's like it literally says Paul Mitchell but the brand says T tree and somebody certainly did that just to get around the the brand gating right they they changed it to tea Tre so that they could sell a Paul Mitchell product uh see it often as well where instead of like Paul Mitchell in the brand I'll say like some random Chinese brand name or something with that as long as it's selling I'm
(2:56:40) not personally that concerned but I would typically advise somebody that's brand new that doesn't have an established account to stay away from products like that just in case something happens because it would have a higher impact on a new account versus an established account um making listings though with the actual brand name in the title I'm trying to find that information here because I want to say that there's restrictions on including the brand name in the title somehow some way I just don't remember exactly what
(2:57:17) they are I'm looking at the moment okay U because I fought I fought two in authentic complaints already and beat them um where I know that there was a this seller that has purchased the product because I look I saw their address and everything I'm like you can't be real this is you are selling the same thing you're on list and inauthentic complaint I just sending all my information because I documented everything and U I'm good and then the next one was recent I just did the same thing good thing the good thing is that
(2:58:07) I bought all the stuff from Amazon so I was like hey if you're selling fake stuff let me know yeah it's very hard for them to deny their own invoices um but yeah like inauthentic complaints aren't actually that scary if you have the documentation and you're not buying from third party websites like a third party seller on Walmart as long as you're buying from Walmart directly they are typically pretty easy to beat so it's just more of an inconvenience and a pain in the ass than anything yeah it's scary do especially
(2:58:43) because I'm new I was like I got all the documents I'm just submitting it and I'm good but with yourself Ron like from what I gather from our previous conversations like you have sold up a fairly decent amount correct like total units and revenue yeah that is great so yeah like depending on what stage you're at like if you have like an okay amount of feedback and you've sold through a decent amount of units and a decent amount of Revenue and you've been consistent you would probably not have the same metrics as a brand new account
(2:59:19) whereas like if you are to get an inauthentic complaint or an IP complaint or most other complaints your account's not going to be impacted unless you have multiple that go unaddressed whereas with a brand new account uh if they get one inauthentic complaint they're going to be deactivated almost immediately oh no I try to address every single thing as as soon as possible that's good because ideally most of that stuff if you can appeal it you definitely want to because where it will create an issues if you have multiple of
(2:59:53) them stack up but again as you scale and you have better metrics and you're selling more volume the less um impacts individual complaints have like I've had multiple uh multiple uh listing uh product restrictions uh I've had items that have been recalled restrictions I've had an IP complaint sitting on my account and authentic complaints all that once it's like oh my God like I look at your performance notification tab and it looks scary but like my account is still healthy no risk of deactivation so I'm like I'm I'm fine like we can address
(3:00:27) this all later this week when we have time it's not a big deal what would you consider a decent amount when you say you know you sold a decent amount so it's hard to say for sure because there's no exact threshold and we don't know when Amazon Chang is their backend metrics on how they classify you but I would say like say you cross probably like a few thousand dollars per month and you do that consistently for multiple months back to back I would say you're probably out of like the brand new category and you have
(3:01:06) a little extra leeway so like when you first start selling you send in your first couple products you sold a couple hundred bucks you get an authentic complaint your accounts very likely going to get the deactivated immediately you're going to be able to appeal it but you're going to be deactivated once you sold a couple thousand bucks you sent in multiple shipments you sold a few thousand dollars a couple months in a row and you've been very consistent chances are you'll probably need like three four of those complaints in a short period of
(3:01:35) time un addressed to get that deactivation stage and then once you are at like say probably like around $520,000 per month consistently with a healthy account that threshold will increase a little bit more and it will keep increasing as you have better overall metrics I can't tell you for sure but that's probably how I would gauge it good to know I think they put me in the dog house long enough after you got cleared though like chances are like I said to you before you're probably not going to experience that again and what you shouldn't have
(3:02:16) experienced it to begin with but um no it'll probably be also less likely that you've went through it you've appealed it successfully that even if something does come up you'll probably be less much less likely to be at risk of deactivation immediately yeah and I guess my my health score has gone up since then also but it's not uh at that 250 range where you can get that Assurance or whatever it is I think yeah that just comes with just a little bit more consistent volume that's all yeah but um I also find I have found this with
(3:03:03) people that I've talked to in the past like some close friends of mine that have sold on Amazon um when you start selling on Amazon you get opened up more and more and more the more consistent you are the better metrics you have you have more leeway Etc you get open up to more Brands whatever but then if you start becoming less consistent start sending in less stuff all of a sudden like your account basically goes back to almost like it was new you can get reated in a ton of [ __ ] you have to get reated for um your metrics are basically
(3:03:32) back at new status so then if you start sending products right away you get those uh inauthentic complaints or IP complaints they're going to have a higher impact so a lot of it is just about being very consistent yeah 100% I'm back on the train that's good we're just chugging along now I know I believe you mentioned Melanie just recently was it you crossed do you mind if I share how much you sold no was it 20K yeah nice 20K yeah and that's that's an obviously a 30-day period yeah Bey that's great thank you that's we hope On Target to
(3:04:21) hit that again this month and then keep scaling and that's I think that's for Melanie coming back from a multiple month deactivation for a shitty section three thing yeah the thing I think notice is snowball so like I think once you hit like 20K and you're consistent you like consistently hit 20K unless you Lally don't send in anything that's that's what I look at it yeah you just got to like hit your spend balls but I notice with the leeway too like it's very true with you know even winning buy box and stuff like there's certain listings
(3:05:02) where like I'm selling more than I used to or like certain listings where I'm able to buy a bit more on and stuff because my account's growing right and yeah it's cool like Amazon definitely favors serious people yeah I think I've noticed that actually I've sorry no no go ahead go ahead no I saying I have an item that um like I bought when I was new and it wasn't like selling it all like the only way for it to sell was like all the other sellings or all the other sellers to sell out on the listing and now that
(3:05:41) my account grew a lot more like I sent that item back in and like I'm competing with the same sellers and I'm actually winning buy box and stuff now which is pretty cool yep great now yeah yeah and it's cool seeing that feedback grow and stuff with yourself Nick because I know it's been quite quite a while since we've actually had a voice chat yeah are you are you currently doing Amazon full-time or are you still working a job I was working a job and then I got laid off so I said I had like maybe five months rent saved
(3:06:21) and I'm like [ __ ] it let's just YOLO this and yeah it's been paying off so I guess I am full-time now yeah nice and but I also kind of have like another hustle that I do too but yeah Amazon it started off as like a little side Hustle but now it's turning into a legitimate business so it's pretty awesome so how long ago was it that you got laid off um I think in like the end of March or early April okay and so with your Amazon business right now uh if you don't want to share 100% don't feel forced to share um but are you turning over enough
(3:07:03) profit to support yourself and also still still grow your business yeah so thankfully I live with roommates and stuff so my live and we have a really good deal so my living expenses aren't like anything ridiculous pretty uh pretty affordable but yeah like now like especially this month I'm on track for I mean it's already my best month so far and I'm only 22 days in and the margins seem pretty good so far but like yeah I'm definitely able to support myself and continue to grow now as long as I keep spending like this amount or more which
(3:07:40) you know every month I increase my spend Golds so but like this month I'm probably on track to hit like 40K so it's pretty cool beautiful that's amazing and so I'm Coming For You neck I'm coming for you yeah I'm gonna keep growing like I kind of stagnated a bit like in the 10 to 20K range for like a few months until I'm like okay we're going to go harder now you know spend more Source more and then the prepping too right like it's that's the thing I was like dreading but now like I realize if I just do prep like right in the
(3:08:16) morning when I wake W up like getting started is the hard part but once I get started it's a lot easier are you in the tonary like in uh yeah in the GTA I'm in Bron okay no I find that if you I don't know for me if you prep in the morning and you do your shipments your stuff doesn't often end up in BC or Calgary it does sometimes but I find at night when I was prepping everything was going to BC I was losing my mind yeah when that happens like a lot of the time it'll go to Bron like the Bramton Warehouse which
(3:08:53) is literally like 20 minutes away from me it'll sometimes I've had that shipment check in and I'm not even joking like 16 hours or something it was crazy amazing usually the average is probably about a week I'd say uh I have mine delivered and um it's been just delivered so I was like what it's taking so long for it actually to check in Everything I Know It just fits there so I was wondering send um like St send my stuff to Stan Express or so that it would increase the the checking time because I really don't want to get like a 2d
(3:09:36) workflow just as yet maybe when I'm sending constantly sending sending in like maybe thousands of units each week then then I think it would make sense uh so for so a couple things that I have noticed is when you again coming back to consistency when you are sending in more units more consistently by default your units will actually get checked in quicker this is something that is speculation on my part but this is something that I have found over and over again from myself to many other people that I've walked walk through and
(3:10:17) experience them grow on Amazon I've experienced the same thing over and over again it seems like as you get more serious and more consistent with Amazon like Nick said they tend to favor you more and they've always done things in the past that have always pointed to that direction where they favor more like people that take this business more seriously over time and so I always look at like the history of Amazon so like when you look way back kind of like the Inception of FBA uh they never used to have any any form of storage fees right
(3:10:53) and then they started introducing storage fees because people were overloading their warehouses with books and stuff that sat there for years uh and in any Marketplace um we've experienced this over the last probably I'd say five to 10 years in Canada where when I first started selling in Canada it was very open so like immediately when I first started I was not not gated in grocery I was not gated in toys I was not gated in a lot of stuff I was gated in some of the big name brands so like Lego and Hasbro and
(3:11:26) stuff like that buty pretty much all the categories I could sell immediately um they were very lenient on mistakes that were made so like with I know that we made a ton of mistakes when we were first starting doing shipments mislabeling Stuff Etc extremely lenient as the years have progressed they have intentionally made it harder so they start introducing things like more storage fees so that you're managing your inventory more they start introducing things like uh low inventory fees so they're forcing you to manage
(3:11:57) your inventory more like a like an actual professional they start introducing things where they're making it more restrictive to sell on Amazon and I think that they've always intentionally done this where they open up a Marketplace they make it very open to attract sellers make it easy and then once they have a enough demand they start making it harder so that they weed out the people that don't take it serious and then they only start dealing with professionals that actually want to take it serious and are willing to jump
(3:12:27) through this this the [ __ ] that they put us through yeah makes sense yeah I agree and with the shipments too like I haven't you know like done testing and whatnot but it seems like as my account grows my shipments do get checked in a decent amount faster even I sent one to it got sent to Alberta like pretty recently like maybe two shipments ago was a pretty like juicy one too like for me and I think it took like seven to eight days to check in and that was from Ontario so but then sometimes you get unlucky you have one
(3:13:10) that just sits for like weeks so but yeah like I find Vancouver doesn't know how to count that's just yeah but then they transfer it back to Ontario so there's that yeah I know it's every time to me but yeah like when you think at least we know it's just not individual cases it's all of us right like yeah everybody has the same problems all the same time when somebody starts having the issue where it's like oh why are they digging me with all my items not being labeled it's like it's everybody all at once oh I fight all those I've won all
(3:13:45) those actually I'm never bothered appealing to any of them I'm like [ __ ] this it's not worth it you know I'm a little paranoid Jordan right so I'm just like yeah no that's fair I know I stuck those myself okay um and I always put in my rebuttal or whatever I always say I prepped in my home office myself I've I've won them all so you want me to send you the pictures of every single product I took with the labels on them oh my God I stopped taking pictures which maybe I shouldn't have but I've W actually I've won a couple of them I won
(3:14:26) them on um product where I I sent in five of one thing and they said oh we only got three okay here's your pictures here's my invoice and they credited me back so yeah when they screw up the shipments and like I have to appeal it it's like they never really give me problems as long as I send the invoice and the pictures I always take pictures of the box like on the scale with the weight on it in view with like the items in the Box oh you're good Nick I I don't do that I just want to get it out of here yeah like I put it on the scale
(3:15:02) take a picture then tape it up and then I take like a Sharpie and just write like box one box two blah blah blah and then I print all the labels at the end I don't know if that's the most efficient way but I'm working in kind of a small place too so I you know got to make that's the same way yeah do you guys have a big like an recommendation for like a really good scale because mine is very small I just bought the um I think Jordan linked it times but it's like the smart way or something shippingon smart Way digital shipping
(3:15:46) and still weight scale that's ay that's the one I have that's so funny a I have the smart also he has a pretty good scale for a pretty reasonable price like what is it now like around 60 70 bucks yeah I think I when I bought it it was like 30 or 40 is it large enough to hold the the I yeah like the large UPS or the large U-Haul boxes on them and stuff yeah it's funny hey could you post it yeah yeah that's one I use say in the voice chat oh that kind weird but yeah so I absolutely I've made it very known I despise Dao as a shipping label
(3:16:35) company like their their their uh their printers printers and their labels in my opinion they're absolute garbage so it kind of kills me decide to say this but I actually used Doo branded shipping scales so I've I've used a Smart Way scale but it's kind of just it kind of just happened because when I first started um the first scale that I bought was actually on Kajiji it was a Dao scale guy had it brand new in the box pretty sure I paid 30 bucks had no idea what D was at the time looked like it decent so I like cool so I still have
(3:17:13) that same scale today it still works so that I bought a secondary one for a second pack machine works fine fully portable but I think the Smart Way scales are probably just as good it was two things that made me buy a real scale one was Jordan saying you shouldn't be using your bathroom scale and my yeah my brother had come over and I go can you weigh this box for me he's like okay let me put on this I go no you got to get on way yourself and then I want you to hold the box he goes this is absolutely ridic ridiculous and I'm like
(3:17:48) okay fine are you going to buy me a scale you goes fine oh I got a free scale I remember when I first started to using like an inkjet printer for the offense skes and stuff and like you it's like 30 per page so if you have like an item with um yeah you know like five units that you're sending in you have to like waste a Whole 30 page for it and stuff and then you'd have to like flip it in the printer to try to like print as many on the other side as you can and it would never work out and then you just throw it in the
(3:18:20) garbage um does that scale um work with electricity or battery both I think it's battery and you could plug it into like a USB or something or like it has cable whatever yeah the AC adapter whatever that is honestly I never use that I just use the batteries and since I got it the battery like never died and I've been using it for like a year so the SmartWay scale that Nick linked I actually own that same scale that's one that I actually that's one that I actually use for um eBay parcels and shipping stuff like locally because
(3:19:01) it's more accurate for um lower weights versus the Dio scales and yeah it's it's a good scale I would certainly recommend that uh the one that Jaden linked it's SmartWay brand as well that's a scale that I had purchased as well but I purchased it uh for my dad to use when he first started and I see it on my Amazon history was back in 2019 that scale worked good for a while uh I'm pretty sure the platform was a little bit smaller than the the black one um but that one that's the one I have though I have that one the one that J
(3:19:40) put yeah so like it still works it's when it's viable like it's still viable and may have been just how we were utilizing at the time but my dad I don't remember how long he had it for but I want to say like after a year or so that scale went on the fritz and it stopped working um so if I had to choose between the two I'd probably personally choose the black one but they probably both will work fine to be honest you know they'll get the job done they're not fancy or anything they're scale yeah as long how about that heavy that
(3:20:16) heavy duty one too Jordan and my observation was the same it's about after I think for me it was maybe 6 7 months it's it started weighing the items improperly and I found that if I had an item that was under say 250 gr or 200 Gams it wouldn't register on the scale at all even though when I first bought it it did it was very strange yeah I don't I because it was so long I don't remember exactly what the issue was when my dad had it but I just know like it stopped working properly and we had had to trash it but that
(3:20:48) black one so I'm looking at my purchase history that uh the one that Jaden posted the silver one bought in 2019 pretty sure we had it for like a year the black one bought that in 2020 still have that today and I still utilize that quite often we don't use that one quite like nearly as heavy as the The Da ones that we use for our regular shipments but it's been a solid scale that's never let us down yeah and I've like dropped a couple times stent it's fine so a test to the uh durability but yeah like the only surprisingly like the only like major
(3:21:28) shipping issue that we had I had like a couple like minor ones here and there but it was like when I was first training my nephew to do prep and pack for me um it wasn't I don't even think it was a box that he packed I want to say it was one that I packed but we have like these restaurant style um rolling carts so like like in a restaurant like you have like those plastic carts that have like two or three levels we have like the very long ones uh it came with three levels we have two but on on like the first level so it's like the the the top
(3:22:06) level because when we have two layers top level is probably just above knee height is we have our tape machine and then we have our scale and like um utility knife whatever and then on the bottom we just have like extra supplies and whatnot and so on that little cart near the back there is like a little lip on it and so like there's more than enough room where we can have a a large box on that scale no problem but if it gets pushed back it could catch on that lip and I was aware of this problem and I knew like this could
(3:22:43) happen but we never had that issue and I'm pretty sure it was a box that I packed all of a sudden it got a notification from Amazon saying that uh this box it like weighed over by like I want it wasn't even a small amount it was like 10 kgs or something stupid so it was like 15 or 20 pounds I was like no way we did that and like this wasn't early in uh it wasn't early in the career for me it was early for him but I was like there's no way like that happened and then Amazon gives you the the screenshots of the box coming into
(3:23:13) the warehouse and how much it weighs so I'm like there's no way so I went and I uh weighed I looked at the weight of every single product on Amazon and added it all up I'm like yeah sure [ __ ] it was way overweight and it must have just got caught on that lip and I'm pretty sure I did it so I'm like yeah even when you're very experienced you can make some serious mistakes what did you say the crush the crush thing is supposed to be on the box under 33 or over 33 what was it again the ECT The Edge Crush test has to be 32
(3:23:52) or higher 32 or higher yeah I knew I was Clos okay yeah I always they actually verify that though like I'm I doubt it but it is it is technically a requirement yeah I just use the uall boxes I think those are 32 right yeah I think the smalls are 32 and I think the medium and large are slightly more I want to say but yeah like those are things that like people just don't look at the requirements for they don't pay attention to I've never heard of anybody getting in trouble for having like a flimsy box but it's definitely
(3:24:31) definitely possible I think just in general it's just more prone that your shipment is going to get damaged in shipping yeah I remember you said something like that so I've been looking but they're all above yeah and like um quite a few years ago it's been changed for quite a long time in Canada it specifically stated in their terms which is absolutely ridiculous that you had to have your expiration dates on your products in a certain format which is fine they still kind of have that today but they indicated at that time that the font had
(3:25:08) to be like I think it was like 32 or 36 point font for the expiration date and that's very large so like an entire expiration label uh an entire fnq had to be used for expiration labels to be compliant according to that which I always thought was stupid but we did it anyway just to be compliant and then all a sudden just check like one random time and then that's completely removed out of the terms never made an announcement about it they just removed it I was like oh cool thanks for letting everybody know yeah so how do you do expiration
(3:25:43) labels now because I just print them separately since you know I just have like a Word document with like the uh label like format or whatever and I just type in the date and print out however many I need but that's like an extra label I have to put on each poly bag so yeah do you like have it with this FN skew like with the barcode and the expiration date like all in one yeah that's what we do now we used to do it sarly for like a long time but now it's all integrated into one see yeah I don't know if I how
(3:26:14) I do that because I think like you know like zebras and stuff you could do that like in the program right or it like I'm not sure you can do that in the program unless you like you'd have to like pre-print it like on the label first and then rerun it through and then print the FN skew okay most like shipping softwares have that built in where you can just print that label automatically like that yeah I'm still using the default Amazon software which could be janky sometimes I remember I was mid shipment and UPS was coming in like an
(3:26:46) hour and I had to print out the um like all the uh shipping labels to slap onto the boxes and like it wasn't confirming and going through and it turns out like some of the items that I sent in within like a couple hours Amazon added expiration dates to certain items that I was sending in so I had to like redo the shipment and like all the items were already like in the boxes and stuff so I'm like holy [ __ ] and like I put the labels on and like I should you know within 5 minutes UPS knocked on the door it was like perfect timing I so done
(3:27:22) after that just sweating yeah oh man like I'm like drenched after uh prepping especially because we don't have Central AC here we're not allowed it's like a liability so it could get pretty bad yeah how is it a liability get out of here cuz it could fall out of the window and kill someone apparently I don't know man get out of you get one of those you got to get one of those port ones from like Costco or something yeah I do in my bedroom but like in the main room which is where I prep like the living room area we don't have one but it might be
(3:27:55) worth like just buying one to keep out there and like just write it off as a business expense yeah especially on hot days when you're prepping 100% dude my it like we had a really really bad ewave here like three weeks ago my room was 34 degrees it was like the disgusting and that's why I bought an AC I'm like I can't do this it's impossible as Ron sitting in Jamaica it's probably plus yeah is really hot like extremely um with yourself sorry sorry what's up Ron no I'm saying I'm used to it yeah I'm used uh with yourself nick uh do you
(3:28:47) ever track your like your average production per hour when you're prepping no but I want to what would be the best way to do that would just like start a timer or something and just go at it because I'm prepping all on my own right so yeah like I mean you don't have to like be like super serious just like maybe maybe tracking a spreadsheet just like just kind of make a make a note on paper when you start and then when you stop put it in a spreadsheet or just keep it a notepad and then how many units you actually did in that time yeah
(3:29:15) and that help you keep track of it yeah I'm trying to think cuz I think my one of my biggest shipments I'm trying to think I think it took like 17 hours to prep in total how many units uh it was like 700 I think tell me but it might have been tell me you did it all in one day oh no it had to be split up in two days bro I wanted to die I wanted to die damn I want to congratulate you come on man no I remember the one though like I prepped in the morning I like took a break I went to the gym I came home I prepped until like 3:00 a.m. and then I
(3:30:01) woke up at like 8 a.m. and prepped like another six hours and sent it out that day so that was like my most hardcore prep session and after that I'm like dude at least it pays well you know like cuz people do that for but so a lot less than what we're making so so when you do that though it's you I imagine you probably feel quite worn out exhausted afterwards oh but I felt super like um what's the word I I just felt good though exhausted but rewarded you know like it very rewarding you got something done and you actually did some physical
(3:30:38) labor to do it too yeah yeah I got a good sweat and stuff and you're like you know saving like if use a prep Center or whatever like saving 700 bucks is not bad if not more yeah exactly so um with your shipment of like about 700 units that took about 17 hours yeah I think I probably but it like I think every unit there was like Holly bags and let me see actually and so I thought I was going to ask you I don't know I think I probably averaged like 50 units an hour or something and so like do you include like your receiving time like unpacking
(3:31:22) unit or that is that just a straight preping P I think that's just straight preping pack honestly I'm just like going off of memory though like I have to actually time it to be sure because honestly I am not 100% and know that's cool I'm just always curious because I like to see like how people do different things um yeah but like if you are ever looking at potentially Outsourcing like locally even like with your buddies that you room with and whatever I would definitely recommend that you do track it for yourself and then you have like I
(3:32:02) would never I would typically never expect most people to do it as efficient as yourself but but you have some kind of Benchmark to play against so like say even like 80% or 70% as efficient as yourself then you can gauge if it's worth it paying this person x amount per hour right yeah honestly like the longer I go the more efficient I get right like you there's little things that just speed up the time yeah just like having the poly bags easily accessible like all laid out in order from sizes and stuff little things like that saves a lot of
(3:32:39) time in the long run and like also breaking down the boxes as I go like I'll just like cut it slice the tape and like corrugate it if is that the word I don't know but yeah folder yeah fold it up because since like I live in a townhouse too so I can really just pile a million boxes for like the recycling to like the garbage truck to take on recycling day I have to load it in my car and like bring it to the dump too which is a pain but got to do what you got to do we've all been through yeah I Nick do you get your stuff picked up
(3:33:17) or do you or do you take it to UPS oh no I I get it picked up most of my shim it would need like three car rides to bring it over I'm not doing that um where is the um the dump in bmon um like it's called like uh Queen and Chrysler Drive it's like the Brampton recycling center you like they let you throw out as much recycling as you want for free so you just got to drive there it's like 10 minutes away from me okay I do it like every two weeks I just load up my car to the max like to the brim and then I drive it over
(3:33:58) there because I try to break down my boxes like one time not going to use again and wait every other week to f up the garbage bin yeah but thenb something there was a a video that I took in the warehouse I would so badly want to share it but I can't because it exposes all of our products but like our warehouse is not very big we definitely overpack it but like I I'm looking at this video and like it starts where right when we step into the warehouse piles to of boxes and then the tables are just packed of products the
(3:34:40) floor is have products open the overhead door there's a couple pallets sitting up there I'm like Jesus right yeah and me it's like I have to prep now because if I get lazy with prepping and I don't I'm having like constant items coming in now like there's literally going to be no space to put it anywhere so I have to have them flowing out which is like good um you know it gets your moving yeah like I did a 100 units this morning just like I had a bit of extra time I did like 90 units all poly bagged I think it
(3:35:16) took about an hour and a half or so so you know probably about like 50 units an hour so is this something like for Amazon like do you see yourself like maintaining like just like a nice steady income work life balance or like is it something that you want to scale like past like a certain point um like my goal right now like what I'd be satisfied with like maintaining for a while would probably be like eight to 10K profit a month I think and like but I honestly it's like why not keep scaling it like and just see where it could get
(3:35:56) you as long as like I can Outsource a decent amount of the stuff because I don't want to be working like 18 hour days doing prepping and stuff to you know definitely but yeah like everybody just has different goals so that's why I'm curious yeah honestly like I I just want to be comfortable where like I don't have to stress about and then go from there and like you know may I think anywhere from like the maybe like the 60 to like 80k a month mark would be pretty ideal and do you believe you could get there like just with yourself or do you
(3:36:35) believe you'd have to Outsource to get there um I think I could do 60k myself but do I want to like will it become super overwhelming I don't know we'll see when I get there basically are you doing uh primarily Arbitrage right now or mix whole yeah just all away okay okay and so with yourself like I'm not sure like have you faced any bottlenecks like in terms of your growth or like plateaus recently um capital I guess y That's it really like I already hit my spend goal like 15 days in out of the month or something so like I know I could spend a
(3:37:26) decent amount like you know I spent like 16k so far this month I'm like I know I could get up like pretty comfortably probably spending like 30k on my own you know probably even more because I'm getting better and better right and like my catalog is growing like there's a bunch of items that I could buy right now that I just can't because I'm like at my spending perit right but and so because capital is your P like your main bottleneck at the moment um have you been attempting to do anything to try to get around that bottleneck or secure
(3:38:01) more Capital well I have my ax old and stuff Y and honestly like I could spend more it's just like I'm slowly raising my spend limit every month like I don't want to go too hard too fast you know and like screw myself over and like over leverage myself basically yeah and that's completely Fair that's probably what i' would actually recommend for most people to do but yeah every most most other people just wanted to try and scale as quickly as possible yeah like right now like sorry go ahead no I'm saying I'm in
(3:38:36) the exact same boat I could spend a lot more but you're also nervous yeah I know if I go go hard this week week I could probably spend easily like another 10K or so but I don't want to screw myself over like my goal is to hit 15K and spend this month I hit 15.9 and that's also like to be honest I slacking a few days that's for sure like I hit like 70% of that in like a week right and I'm at 16k the goal is 15 I'm at 16 because there was a really good sale so I dropped like another grand yesterday um oh yeah like so did I Nick so did
(3:39:21) I oh how do you guys um how do you guys get is it easy for you guys to get your your your limit increased because when I called and ask them to like increase my limit you're like I have to wait six months I'm like what honestly I got pretty lucky with Scotia like before right when I started away because I've been with scoa like forever they just offered me like a 25k personal card and then also um like I had like a little business back in the day that I didn't really do anything with but they gave me like a $1,000 um business card and then when I
(3:40:03) started doing OA I called them and they're like oh yeah we can like raise it to 20K like oh [ __ ] so I'm like 45k with sco as well but that's good um for me I have a business card but they like you only can spend like 2,000 for the day I'm like that no I can't do anything I was like and I called I like can you guys increase the limit you're like um I have to wait six months or go into the bank and and talk to them I say go in and just try to talk to them and see what you could do honestly come with like your Amazon statements
(3:40:46) and stuff yeah with yourself Ron it may just be like um I think we mentioned this before it might just be tougher for yourself because you are still relatively new to Canada and a lot of a lot of Institutions I think they just they basically view you as having like brand new or almost no credit here so it takes a while to build that up for them to offer you higher amounts no what what I'm what I'm trying to make reference to he's like me for credit it's actually my money and um where my money is coming from is
(3:41:21) reputable International firms where they can verify themsel right so I was like can you guys increase the limit on what I can spend and they were like no you got to wait six months I'm like it's crazy so yeah very crazy like with my Canadian Tire card they probably raise it like every 3 to six months as well I don't really use that card anymore just for like personal stuff but yeah the worst yeah I haven't been able to get my scosa card raised though since they gave me like the 20K business card I called them like a month
(3:42:02) ago to try to raise it and they said I didn't qualify yet and call back in like a few months and that was probably like a little bit over a year since I had it raised to 20 so it's just a patient thing I guess I don't I don't know is probably your best bet I don't know with Scotia but I know like a lot of online banks like I have RBC um and I know uh Amex you can do the same thing you can just request credit increases directly like online typically not on the app you have to like go on the actual website and they Auto approve or
(3:42:37) decline you immediately yeah yeah yeah not SCA not that I know of with like sorry no go ahead uh speaking of aex like I have like over 100,000 points that I could use I'm wondering like are there like any YouTube channels or something with like the best way to spend them for travel and not get like ripped off oh yeah that's that's Jaden's Avenue oh yeah yeah you some stuff sure vacation do you even though you don't like you may may or may not like a Canada transfer them to Aeroplan and one affordable trips Aeroplane is associated
(3:43:25) with many and many many other airlines so you don't have to fly Air Canada like I flew I FW to the Middle East and and then from there Asia and back with 100 thou 110,000 points and no zero zero fees like I'm talking zero taxes and fees then but the thing with um like ax points it's like hard to kind of pick and choose where you go right like you kind of just have to take the good deals as they pop up is that right with Aeroplan it links autoally so it transfers within 30 minutes so once you link your Aeroplan say you find a good
(3:44:02) Redemption deal you can transfer in the matter of an hour and it's done and you can book your flight and there are a bunch of uh tools which allows you to kind of check like what's your best Redemption for points like you can Lally fly to Europe in business class for like 60,000 points that's crazy yeah I'll send you the there are a bunch of websites but like uh one really common like just to check is called seat star arrow and Lally you just say like hey I have you know AMX points or whatever okay and you basically can say
(3:44:38) I want to fly from North America to wherever or whatever destination and it gives you like by the day or Destin what's the cheapest points awesome and then would that be like are all these on here like round trip or does it just depend these are typically just one ways okay but it's it's just easier to search this way versus going on like a Canada's website and flipping through like multiple so this gives you like a high level overview where you can kind of get an idea of like okay what are like some of the destinations you can go and like
(3:45:12) usually it it's it's like the Redemption is when you like redeem on like a travel partner so like Lanza whatever like say you have a last minute booking or whatever sometimes it's not it's fixed it's like fixed points versus I the actual dollar cost amount so that PS a factor okay yeah and what are the I see some of them are like blue and some of them are green is like green like a good deal or something or is it just for whatever reason uh probably there is a ratio where they recommend so I think they say for Air Canada the best ratio is like
(3:45:56) each point should be at least worth two cents I believe yeah yeah there's like a whole article on it but yeah I found the best is to transfer your your ax points to aopl there are some other Transfer Partners with ax too like there are some other airlines but you just need to do every time I do the M like transferring to Delta or any others Aeroplan tends to be the best place to redeem for air travel all right awesome and thank you no worries but yeah if you are looking for some additional resources like one of
(3:46:44) the the best well-known stuff for credit card hacking I guess you would call it would be Prince of travel yeah I heard of that guy haven't looked into it yet but you know I like I plan to um go on a vacation like probably mid to late September like me and my buddies just want to like go to a resort and just chill for a week but I don't know if it would be better to like just buy that out of pocket and save my points for like something better value or like if that would work like say if I'd fly say if I wanted to go to like
(3:47:19) Mexico if it would be worth it to like just buy the take it to Mexico and then buy like the resort package separately or something it depends I mean Mak like an Aeroplan like depending on the flight like if you're going to get a flare $150 cheap flight oh yeah that's a whole another stre with no baggage and stuff right so um it all depends on the deal like sometimes I fly one way I pay and one way I flly a Canada Aeroplan or whatever right um all depends on the Redemption so you do the math on like because with air Air Canada
(3:47:53) what they do is like you can try look at booking with cash for example and then you look at booking with points and you can do the okay something's $500 but it's only like 20,000 points so then you know your your P * Q right on it that's that but yeah I mean sometimes you need to look at other airlines too cuz just down to timings even yeah there's a whole other world of travel too which is under like time shares and stuff where you can like travel using uh booking time shares which is like discounted Vacations or
(3:48:33) vacation packages where they make you like a two-hour presentation uh I've done us some of those stuff but like hey who's going to complain for like a $300 fornite stay at like a festar hotel for like 200 bucks so okay yeah that's one cool thing about OA though is like you get free trips like free vacations pretty awesome oh yeah even those buying groups like those max out deals or cash buying groups you can just chill in cards and points yeah that's something like I think um at a certain point with OA you probably
(3:49:16) it's probably better just utilize that capital for your own inventory but before that if you have extra credit available those buying groups are extremely viable to use I think a lot of people just really sleep on you guys know I'm a travel agent right on the side Nick if you're going with your buddies the problem with you the problem with you using your your points is not everyone has points to fly the same way you're flying right sometimes like in a in a vacation like that you'd probably just want to do you know you're all
(3:49:53) inclusive to Mexico wherever right you're doing something more individual or you can you know you can help your buddies out and say I could use I don't know how many points you have say I can you help you one way and you could do um a flight on your Canada but like said you know sometimes you do an all-inclusive or you even book with Flare one of those Airlines you want to do it all you can you can build your package Yourself by your air by your book the hotel directly with the hotel and not go through like a tour
(3:50:28) operator it's it's really up to you and where you want to go but I would I would save your points for something more long agrees you know what I mean yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I definitely need to start uh utilizing some points and go somewhere surpris we need to go somewhere Jordan I know I need a vacation too it's been you know forever when was the last time you we all we all are in the business to go whenever wherever you know what I mean this is why we're in this when was the last time you were on vacation Nick
(3:51:11) let's compare like like to the country vacation because I went to Quebec last year to that does not count Nick exactly out of the country that doesn't count you're ready to hear it out of the country never soever forever was an accurate statement o you might have me awful yeah you I know to be fair I'm only 27 so it's not like I'm 40 still awful I know I know just making him feel guilty because he doesn't go anywhere it is pretty awful shame on you for not having shame on you for previously not having money to travel shame on
(3:51:56) you I mean if you want to sponsor my my travel once you go once you'll get the bug and you'll be like I don't understand why I work so hard and I don't go away exactly I was just at a cottage for the weekend and I'm like this is bliss you know I need this in each for like a week right or two yeah that's why I got into travel to begin with it's because it's amazing yeah and it's like you think why do you get into this business and stuff if you can't enjoy a little bit of your life you know yeah exactly I mean even just
(3:52:36) this business alone or even just anything in life you have a full-time job which I do it's like I look around me I I see people who are like either 45 who I don't know suffering from either cancer or dying of early age or you know in unable to walk disabilities as you get older and I'm just like I mean I get it everyone's in a different stage of life and you know especially our parents I'm like you work so hard I'm just like go enjoy it to a certain level like at the end of the day you came into this world with nothing on your back you go
(3:53:09) you go with the same that's what I say right yeah yeah you have to play it smart until you know you get a diagnosis and you know you're going to die at a certain time and then you have M you have M you have mad credit limits and you now you go all out yeah you have like six months or a year to live and then it's like yeah how much cocaine you could do with an aex card spend it all cash and bances everything to the homies and then true then you just leave leave the credit card companies with the bag peace up that's the way to do it don't give me
(3:53:51) ideas that's way you have to do itate create a Bitcoin company and then somehow lose the wallets and then travel to Asia and then supposedly die oh yeah I know what you're talking about no we we don't want to steal money from innocent people we want to steal money from the big institutions the ones that the ones that take advantage of of people and screw people over so that's not a big deal that's true so what about you when was your last vacation you didn't answer oh you had me beat so you had me beat I I just have to like go whimper in the
(3:54:37) corner no I think like out of country probably probably 2011 oh [ __ ] man come on that's crazy do you have like 10 million aex points like come on man quite a few built up yeah at least half a million if not more guaranteed actually maybe a million a lot more than that dude bro you could travel for the rest of your life like if you wanted to in like first class caviar as maybe if they allowed him to smoke a cigar maybe then maybe that he needs to fly just retire on Ax points go to a different country like every month it' be all
(3:55:27) right you could probably you know they say it's cheaper to cruise than to Rend a condo oh no not not mine I bought mine years ago and my my mortgage is okay yeah yeah like if you were to rent Pondo or whatever and if you compare that to the price of a cruise for a month it's cheaper to go on a cruise if you if you compare my my living cost of my mortgage in the in the middle of in the middle of saskatch it's way cheaper than going on a cruise okay may good luck $4,000 for a one bedroom on a mortgage give or to so I'll tell you something so I bought
(3:56:17) my place it's like it's nothing fancy but it's like a newer build 2017 it's an apartment style condo top floor it's two-bedroom it's like I don't know 800 square feet more than enough for me and in 20 2017 I think I bought it it was around 150 Grand my mortgage my I have to pay I have to pay uh Ono fees and whatnot but my mortgage itself is $658 a month wow so I can't can't really complain crazy no yeah that's why I gota move somewhere cheap we don't have a lot going on out here but it's cheap to live people pay that much per month for just
(3:57:04) car insurance and their finance payment yeah it's true no no vehicle payment here uh old vehicle she works cheap cheap living I like it that way that I can take risks and I don't have to worry about going broke and we know you have food around you because you Uber we know you're not right in the booties speaking of which Drew just joined the conversation he's is the master of getting free food when's Drew going to his picture right soon Hi how are you doing guys what are you going to change your picture it's been a long time you guys are doing
(3:57:55) white set so I I just join you it's been like four hours oh yeah that's that's awesome I've cleaned my whole office it's wonderful yeah everybody thinks you're a girl because of your picture no I'm a boy I just put a girl picture so people can yeah just hoping people will send you some uh PayPal money for free yeah for sure but people have money enough these days yeah free leads while you at it hey um apply for an AMX business credit card do you do they normally run like um the person's person CR you yeah yeah like as in like you'll get a
(3:58:51) hard enquiry yeah yeah almost almost every business card probably will like there are some lower tier cards like some of the big Banks like RBC if you're Incorporated uh if they're not offering you like a very high limit and you don't need to be listed as a guarantor then you might not have to have pulled but most like AMX always if you want higher limit cards probably almost [Music] always I think I got approved with like about a 700 and like 20 credit score or something or no I think 690 or something like that it wasn't super
(3:59:42) but yeah like MX like their regular personal cards aren't actually that hard to get approved for once you actually have established credit um a friend of mine who started on on Amazon quite a few years ago he had like some negative history he like Miss payments from like a long time ago but he was rebuilding his credit and I want to say he had like um like low 600s and he got approved low amounts but he got approved for some personal MX credit cards when he first started but most of them most of them they only
(4:00:16) started them off with like a couple hundred or like a thousand bucks Le I found with ax once I Pro for one they've never done a g check on me in like a year even though I applied for like three other cards in that time okay Jaden just finessing the system from the back end now they're limiting the amount of like initial rewards you get like on aop plan and stuff like before you could buy get like five different cards from five different banks and collect all the bonuses now it's only one type per card type so if you got the premium card with
(4:00:56) ax then you don't get the same bonus when you get it from TD as K so since when did since when did they Implement that uh I want to say a year ago that's stupid yeah oh really I was thinking to buy a get the TD card I have MX plenum so I thought I should get that t so it like aerop plan specifically so Aeroplan has the like aopl reserve with AMX the equivalent of that is I think TD whatever that's the only one but like if you have a AMX Platinum AMX C then that's different uh those don't matter where I'm from I have
(4:01:40) a my credit limit is fairly high like streaming high but that doesn't seem to matter for where to Canada so I was just trying to see how could I get um a credit limit especially as it pertains to spending especially as it pertain to spending uh like making purchase order for a day like where I could maybe spend 10,000 for can't I just talk to like I will use um my Visa deid when that limit is up then I'm just I have to wait until the next day you're talking about your ATM daily balance like your debit card right not your
(4:02:27) credit yeah yeah yeah not the ATM da balance um for me it's $2,000 transaction for the day so that's it it another checking account at another bank and then having a debit card with them and having up to $2,000 purchasing power with them I didn't hear it can't you just open another checking account with another bank and just transfer the money there and use $22,000 a day there as well if P yeah but I'm not really like because I like most everything like one place to be so like from the bank different banks I think I I personally would get confused
(4:03:21) so I just don't know that yeah like Ron like to be honest just how stupid the credit system is a lot of it's probably just going to have to be just waiting it out you like you may be able to talk to them and get like a higher secured credit card where it's like say say you want 10 grand you give them $10,000 cash they give you a $10,000 limit and then they secure it right so they're not taking any risk and then whenever you close that card or after like a certain period of time then they give you that money back yeah or you can even open like
(4:04:02) multiple account checking accounts with your bank and have multiple debit cards which should give you more than just the $2,000 limit per account or part card if that's your issue I mean if you have the cash money then yeah you can have multiple checking accounts and not have to worry about credit even definitely going to try the secure the secure um secure cred I don't they will do that I believe most institutions most banks have some form of secure credit card because like it's for for some people like newcomers
(4:04:38) to new newcomers to Canada uh sometimes it's like their really only real option so like no matter what bank you're with they should have some form of option for you yeah and um the person that um I'm trying to really help their credit is like oh [ __ ] I was just open account with the simply or tanging they might give you like high limit for the debit and credit card but depends I'm just like I was like as I spoke to them I was like hey you can hold on to my money I just need uh just the limit to increase eventually that's it but
(4:05:32) yeah basically nothing nothing not going to get done until I'm until until Thursday yeah like that' probably be like the the easy easiest and best bet for you and I would assume most banks could do that because it's no risk for them right because you give them whatever amount you want to spend and then they give you the corresponding amount in credit so yeah and and that could help um bill bill bill credit Asel right yes definitely okay that's great that's yeah so like I would assume like the the credit like how you build credit was probably
(4:06:16) like very similar in Canada versus how you build it in Jamaica but like the the main things you just want to consider I'm not sure exactly how it would work with a secured card it might work a little bit different but I would assume it probably works the same is you obviously just want to make sure you never miss a payment and then when um your billing cycle happens so when like say you get your bill on like the 14th you want to ensure that you have less than a 30% balance when that bill is issued if you have 30% or higher then
(4:06:51) that actually negatively impacts your credit and if you do those and keep your like credit history long and like don't close cards when you actually get them you keep you keep them a long time it's it it can build quite quite quite quickly once you start establishing some credit you said quickly like um in a year I don't know for sure because I'm I'm not too familiar with newcomers to Canada but I don't see why not especially if you have a card and you're being intelligent with it yeah because even saying I'm trying
(4:07:26) to help my my wife sister her credit is like in the 500s to be honest and so I'm trying to help like I use her credit she took out the credit card that I Ed so what I do is I I'll Max it out put back the money on it Max it out put back the money on it and ensure that um before the billing cycle the all the money is on back back on the card yep and I use that strictly for the business yeah and doing that doing that is exactly the way to do it as long as you just don't get that bill and you have a high utilization that's one of
(4:08:13) the big factors and never missing a payment then you should be gold and then just basically a waiting game oh so once um once the before I pay pay off everything before the billing cycle it won it won't show high utilization right as long as it's paid off and processed on the on the bill before it's issued so like if like say if your bill comes out on the 15th quite often a credit card will take a couple days to process transactions so like you'll probably need to make that payment by like say like the 12th or
(4:08:49) maybe like maybe like the 11th or 10th to ensure yeah the 10 it takes like um three days before so I'll always try to do it yeah so as long as it's paid off before the the bill is issued then yes then you you won't have high utilization if it's not and it's over 30% of your total credit available then it's high utilization and that typically impacts your credit and over time it can actually impact your credit crate quite heavily oh yeah that's something that's like actually quite common around um Amazon sellers when they first start because a
(4:09:26) lot of Amazon sellers use personal cards when they first start and a lot of them don't really think about that and then they H they have high utilizations when their bills come around they pay them off all the time they never carry balances but they have that high limit when the bill comes around and all a sudden their credit starts getting in yeah right now because I know once you do get that utilization down it recovers very quickly right yeah when relatively when you keep it down consistently like for multiple months yeah it tends tends to
(4:10:03) increase quickly for yourself Nick if you're using the gold card though primar primarily that shouldn't count to work your utilization yeah yeah it's cuz I have a um 25k personal scoa card all my statement days are split up between so I have a scoa business my ax gold and then a Scotia personal and I like you know I I utilize the grace periods and stuff so right but I'm gonna try to like when my ax like gold resets I'm going to try to get the majority of my spending on that yeah if you do it that way it probably definitely help your personal
(4:10:44) utilization for sure yeah like I'm not too too worried right now because like I don't think I need like more funding at the moment but like say if I do start going for more funding soon then I'll definitely lower that utilization like increase the likelihood yeah and and realistically like in today's society credit is King over cash and when you have better credit life just is so much easier it's stupid but it's true yeah did anyone else get the lending thing from Amazon and if so did you apply I did not apply but I got the
(4:11:27) offer I think I the first offer disappeared and now they send me a new offer yeah they really want 17K I still and you're not interested in a I still haven't gotten one yet the new is bigger right yeah it's I think it was like 14 now it's 17 because my sales is going to so hopefully they're just uh waiting to give the biggest offers at the end and I I'll be a part of that you haven't got one at all Jordan no I haven't got offered one on either of my accounts stuff has a measy they can they can um afford afford to
(4:12:17) give Jordan that so much money they're gonna give him five million and then you can f country yeah yeah if they did that I'd be out guys all right I'm getting a new identity I'm bouncing they probably listen to these conversations and that's why they don't give them to me they're probably like you're too too big of a competition they they were you'll take over the market you make it a mon I'm Jing no no I'm definitely not that big but like from like what what Fred was posting that was interesting because uh the loans like they are actually
(4:12:57) pretty short period loans like he he figures his loan is only GNA be 120 days it's good for yeah I read that it's I guess it's okay if it you have a good interest rate for a short-term cash injection but it's very very shortterm um given the fact that is that shortterm do you think that is um really a good loan it depends so if you are personally able to utilize that and either pay down higher interest debt yourself um or if you're able to inject that money into your business and turn it over and expect more return than you
(4:13:39) are expecting to pay an interest it can be VI so like your standard Cash Flow cycle from the time you spend a dollar to the time the product gets to you the time you prep it send it to Amazon they sell it and then you get that money back most cash flow Cycles on average are probably going to be about 90 days it's going to take uh sometimes it's quicker but it'll probably be close to about 90 days so you have 120 days so you have like essentially like an extra 30 so like Fred I'm not sure what interest rate he
(4:14:12) got want to say it was like wasn't it like around like 8% or something um so like just I'm not sure just for example if you are able to take that say you're able to to to turn it uh say one time in that in that period uh you you'll probably be a turn about one one and a quarter maybe one and a half times but say one time and say you're expecting to profit 20% on that and your interest rate that you're expecting to pay is 8% that means you'll be ahead 12% so if you're really in tune with your business and you know you can cycle
(4:14:50) through that in that amount of time then it'd be worth it if not and you're not using it to inject that cash into your business um if you're just going to let it sit there and then basically have to pay it back with interest then it wouldn't be worth it I want to see what uh what his interest rate was and he say he was going to pay off another loan that he had that he was paying 133% on yeah think that's what he said I think he was going to pay off a a higher a higher interest loan so yeah his funding was actually lower so he had I
(4:15:32) think he took the 111 Grand and that was a 5.75 5 yeah 5 5.75 so you could definitely make out in the very positive for that as long as you are in tune with your business have the inventory available and you're able to do so Drew you're playing Farm merge Valley Drews into making a farm he's not even on the mic he's just too busy making his farm well I heard my iPhone I couldn't go exit Game sorry you're cutting out what was that I was entering the game but I
(4:16:35) couldn't exit the game I turn off like set down whole Discord and then rejoin every time have to work on that farm huh that's was my first time I just open the game so I noticed yourself Drew um I thought I saw that uh you were listing some of those messy drinks before the drop were you just hoping that were you just hoping that you got it or did you secure some before the drop happened uh no I will get I know that I will get it that's why I was confident about that that's why I posted on the eBay fair fair have you made any sales
(4:17:17) as of yet no I told you that I was uh the one client came in but the order couldn't happen so he canceled it right yeah that's very strange on how how and why that happened if you had the international options on there yeah I talk with the rap they said like because of the weight and the diamension of the product and the delivery location it that could could be possible but don't think that because of that there must be some glitch in the system yeah they very well could be I've never experienced that on eBay
(4:17:53) especially recently because if something is like oversized they won't let you choose that shipping option so that's a really weird glitch yeah for sure yeah are you still uh abusing Uber Eats and picking up your own orders uh yeah I do but I'm not I'm not that kind of person who it's every outside I just it's like twice in a week something like that yeah but I encourage the people to eat every day outside are you do you do you have any uh instacart promos right now no right now I'm working on it to get the more
(4:18:41) promos because in C is keep changing the system and they are getting more harder and harder day by day but I would say very soon we will get some update you s success I'll let you keep you update guys yeah Instagram is pretty easy to uh deal with that but the only issue with is that like you have to create the account but when you create the account you to make sure like you use a private mode so nobody can CAU you with the IP because when you create the account they knows which IP you are using and which uh what kind of server you are on and
(4:19:25) they all those kind of details so when you get the offer and go to place the order it will not allow you it will straight lock your account so they keep upgrading the security even if I trying to play order from my phone they already they Bann my they Bann my device I cannot order anything from my phone interesting yeah so yeah they keep upgrading the system but it will take time and I think uh if we get like 3 months or six months still we can make so much money from there yeah but uh I'm just waiting for the promo once you get start getting a
(4:20:09) promos uh I will start every excellent y yeah I was telling everybody that was in here of uh kind of what the process is and how you can basically get 50 bucks worth of stuff for almost nothing yeah kind of insane yeah that's you didn't know that before not before you told me about it so I I was I was in a server previously with that the developer potato and they they they adverti in that server about the instaart bought but I never I never looked into it until you mentioned it it's been like two years it's happening
(4:20:55) uh for the Instagram yeah I had I heard from my manager I had no idea yeah I I heard from my manager so before it was so easy with the iPhone so you just have to buy the one $1 subscription every month and that's allow you to give you more Security on the Apple devices okay so it's like I iCloud plus and you just have to go in the setting and turn on the private lay so when you place the order you just have to use the Apple pay and you can keep ordering from the same device without doing anything else it was so easy before it just from
(4:21:36) last three months they change they upgrade the security and they make that harder it's it's interesting that they're trying to just change the security instead of just getting rid of the promo codes yeah they are so stupid they just have to do like one thing just link the promo with the c phone number that's all they have to do yeah yeah like um door Dash makes it pretty hard to get good promos with it I don't know people are still doing the door Das I haven't got chance to look after the door Das because I have a uber
(4:22:13) that's why I'm not looking anywhere else um I've tried looking up a few things for that and like I found like at most like a $10 discount code and it was a minimum order so it was nothing crazy yeah I think the people are getting like 50% off on doas nothing nothing like uber right I don't know what the KE is doing now heard about the keep yeah yeah yeah I can tell you that I've definitely been uh making use of the Uber Heats yeah it just so insane like you just have to pay like $23 and if you if you buy like two times
(4:23:02) in a day this like four five $6 or $10 Max I would say that's cheaper than a grocery yeah for the amount of food that you can get a lot of time it's definitely cheaper than actually before the insta card my grocery bill was like4 to $500 just for two person right and after instagr like right now I show you my fridge it's completely empty and how much do you spend how much do you spend a month now on groceries right now nothing I just it's I just because I'm getting a Instagram promo like one promo in like two weeks
(4:23:44) and that's how I just make it work right yeah because right now I don't have anyag promo so I'm eating a t l and using a good food because I just got the new credit cards so I'm just using that for the ordering from the good food and the say CHL that's all so uh have you ordered any recently from from hellofresh or Chef plate at all uh not Chef plate uh no what I never order it from helles I because I was only getting like 60 or 70% discount that's why I was not ordering from anywhere yeah you know what is there any
(4:24:30) promo in the H press so like they used to provide uh free boxes with every kit that you got and we could Loop it over and over because you got three totally free boxes in each one that you got so I I still have a couple uh totally free hellofresh boxes kicking around so I mentioned earlier that I'm going to see if I can restart it I'm going to see if they start providing those codes again and if they do if they do then we can start that loop again yeah I think the carefully will start very soon because I think the
(4:25:05) company is not doing really well compared to others for hellofresh no for the Che flate oh yeah so probably they will start uh setting some promos very soon I guess yeah and sometimes um you can actually look up uh free boxes for hellofresh or chest plate and some sometimes you see completely free boxes on like Reddit oh yeah that's how that's how I originally started the loop I found them on there got them and then provided the codes and that's how we started start right right make sense yeah I just prefer to have completely
(4:25:51) free stuff 100% that's what I like most so I was just looking around that if somebody says I'm getting something free I just try to deep into that and figure out what the what's going on then I said it to everybody well yeah they're doing something so yeah um Nick are you one that uh eats out a lot or do you cook at home a lot I cook like at home basically every day I'm a cheap ass so well once we get like you mentioned you were looking you're interested in Factor once we get the hellofresh and chest plate going again uh those would
(4:26:36) probably be very viable for yourself too if you like cooking yeah yeah like that would be awesome but no like the thing is Uber Eats normally is you know way too expensive for me like I can't justify spending that much money on food unless you know every once in a while is different but not like all the time but for the price you're getting stuff for it then yeah it makes sense 100% I'll probably try it out soon or like you know when me and my girlfriend are together or something we could do like a little thing where we
(4:27:07) both order for us and you know that that would be nice yeah but yeah like um with Uber Eats and like any delivery service typically like if you just order like a standard meal that you go out and eat for like 10 maybe 15 bucks it ends up costing you like $30 to get it delivered exactly crazy I had a I like the way you stack it the the buy one get one and then you use usually what did you do buy one get one and you put the $30 on top of the buy one get one right yeah yeah corre yeah that's when you get the most value so like yeah when
(4:27:50) I got that Chinese food I got four big I got four big ass containers of Chinese food because it was buy buy one get one free and it cost me I think it was I think it was $12 yeah I saw that it looked really good yeah yeah are you married Jordan what's that you have a girlfriend or you married I am single and ready to mingle oh you don't need to buy one get free you just do wa for a week no no it helps sort me out for a couple days yeah no it's good uh I used to get like meals that were like similar to factor they were just like locally
(4:28:39) produced meals where they get dropped off every week I had I had those for probably like a year a year and a half just because like they saved so much time but yeah like they got pretty expensive yeah I think just having those meals and it was it was two meals a day and I I covered for five five days a week so I just fended for myself on the weekends I want to say it was like 600 bucks a month that's crazy yeah I mean it saved like a [ __ ] ton of time which was the whole idea but it's pretty pricey I think my friend said he paid
(4:29:29) 180 for 2 weeks worth of meals from Factor right I think yeah and see factor factor I can't get here oh you can't no it's not available in zatu and I think it's only available like mostly like east of like East Side Canada and maybe BC I heard they're not bad yeah I just tried it for the first time today it's pretty tasty the portion sizes are kind of small though yeah they look is one meal actually one meal one meal is like I think 5 to 600 calories so depends uh how much you eat I guess so for me I need like two of them after the gym not
(4:30:19) a meal for a full siiz man like I'm trying to sustain myself here I'm not trying to wither away thousand calories a day get out of here yeah for nine bucks like the um nine bucks for six of them is solid though because the like quality of the food is good like it's very you just heat it up in the microwave like you don't even have to cook it yourself so right well yeah like I mean considering I'm pretty sure they're owned by hellofresh and hellofresh and like Chef's Plate's food is actually surprisingly pretty decent food so it
(4:31:01) doesn't surprise me at all the only thing I didn't like is like I had to have like four pans going at one time and I can't I can't deal with that at all pretty sure like one pan kind of meal I'm pretty sure they have like one pan options that you can get cuz I didn't order anything crazy I ordered like tacos and then I ordered a bowl of which I still make myself now that I have the recipe it's so good and what was the other one and then like a chicken I don't know it just seemed like my whole kitchen was like a whole and
(4:31:40) I'm like I can't with this as free as it was I'm like I need someone to cook it for me just lazy yeah it's not it's not laziness it's it's the whole mess like my whole my kitchen looked like a bomb went off of it and I'm usually like a one like I shove something in the oven and make a with it and then the way I go I don't know I did the food tasted good don't get me wrong but then sometimes I didn't feel like it and then I'm like oh I got to cook whole situation but if you could throw in some Uber eat meals in between
(4:32:23) it'd be perfect you sound like a lady that needs to get a uh like an insta poot or like a slow cooker yeah life saving I think I do just never use it air fryer every day dude it's so good yeah oh I love my air fryer it's like the chicken and stuff always comes out so juicy can make anything in there isn't an air fryer I swear by it isn't an air fryer basically like the exact same as a convection oven yes and no like it's kind of the same but it cooks faster and more efficiently like you don't have to preheat it it's a lot easier to clean
(4:33:13) and not soggy like you can make fries in there you can make burgers you can make bacon you can make whatever fish and [ __ ] yeah yeah comes out juicier air fryer in my opinion you could probably buy one with some of your PO points Jordan you don't get good value from buying merchandise it's not not not good value oh God you didn't even notice they were gone probably not but uh when I first I think it's when I first got an AMX and got the welcome bonus from the Platinum because that was the first I think that
(4:33:55) was the first IMX that I got um I did use the points to buy a coffee grinder because I got an espresso machine and I didn't want to pay for a grinder so that's that's about it that would be nice that's something yeah I question sorry yeah what was that yeah I one question about uh just OA before I go like do you have any experience ordering from Walgreens I do not personally know okay but what's because I found some good leads what's the issue and yeah so my orders kept getting cancelled and so I called them and they said they
(4:34:40) investigated it they sent me an email saying the reason that the order do canceled was because I was buying with the foreign credit card and they only accept Us credit cards and if I want to order I have to go through PayPal so I tried ordering through PayPal and paying with my Canadian credit card through PayPal and like when I click um just like confirm and pay the order doesn't go through so I'm wondering if it's just like Canadians in general or like if I have to actually transfer the money to like my PayPal
(4:35:15) balance itself and pay the PayPal balance uh I'm not sure if the PayPal balance will work but your am your credit card that you're using do you have a Us address attached to it um no I did not for that one so are you trying but I did use a US billing or I think I tried one with a US billing address actually still didn't work I think I tried my ax yeah they still like declined it interesting and they said they could still tell it's a foreign credit card did you try with Apple pay no I haven't think they it do they uh I don't
(4:35:56) know I I think they only accept card and PayPal but when I did PayPal I tried paying through my card directly through PayPal and then when I click confirm it just like kept refreshing the page and never went to like the confirm for us crossborder or yeah for us crossborder I found some really good leads and I'm like you know I was ready to spend a few grand on them and then it wouldn't go through so it's kind of disappointing you don't have the RBC crossb us account no good card to have for th for those instance because the address is a Us
(4:36:36) address the bank is a Us address yes I have a USX I could try if you want me to I never if I ever buy anything on Warg greens I'll let you know [Music] I let's go I can't even see it so with um yeah but with the card like I've never had an issue I ordered from walmart.com all the time like home.com Target and whatnot and amazon.
(4:37:14) com never had issues it's literally only Walgreens that gave me an issue so just one being it's not a huge deal but yeah that's interesting normally like with the US shipping address and billing address it wouldn't create an issue so that's interesting um but Nick because you reacted that I sent that code to you I would actually I would recommend that you use it right away um like check out some food because it's one that I found on Reddit so if somebody else finds it and they use it first then you're going to be [ __ ] of luck oh [ __ ] that's for
(4:37:50) what the website it's Chef's yeah Chef's plate I'll send it to you [ __ ] how do this work presser on I have to sign up and then do it through there then you pick yours so yeah then you just uh you'll scroll down when you have like your payment screen you're selected how many meals you have so yeah how many meals do I select select select number of people four and meals per week three so you'll get 12 Meals total and you'll pay four $4.
(4:38:23) 99 total and then scroll down you won't see that price yet scroll down that page oh and the apply yeah apply that discount code $4.99 oh [ __ ] oh [ __ ] can I change the delivery though like the delivery uh schedule because I'm gonna be gone next week so I don't know if I'll be able to utilize it but I believe you can change your delivery schedule I think you can yeah if I could like just delay it for a week yeah just like place your order and then just change change your delivery awesome thank you so much hopefully it works should can never say
(4:39:04) uh no to free food or like you know a few Dollar Food so yeah I was just scringy for codes and I just found one but uh when you get that box pay attention to the cards you get in it and if you yeah and I'll resend those 100% keep one for yourself and put the other ones in the in the thing sure I think I might have a factor code too that uh like came with my box that said it was for a free box but I don't know if my roommate wanted to utilize it was it only one that you got I have to check honestly I there were a
(4:39:43) few but I glanced at it and it looked like they're all the same code if they're all the same they not unique then that's a loop right there dou check I'll check what there what they have downstairs see if there's anything new this week but I'll scr Reddit I'll see if I can find some codes and then I'll order this uh hellofresh myself s it looks like my order was placed oh so yeah just go back in change your delivery schedule if you haven't yeah to August 3rd there you go and what's the rdit group name uh it was just reddit.com rf's
(4:40:27) plates so all yeah I mean okay awesome man I won't have to cook for like a week I have like five more Factor meals now I'm gonna get these I got my food for the whole week for like 10 bucks and and the chef's plate one like because you get 12 Meals it's it's actually 12 Meals oh this is actually 12 that's crazy okay it's actually 12 Meals yeah this is way better yeah this four way bigger I'm gonna select the meals in the morning because I have to go to sleep but the I think the payment went through and stuff
(4:41:00) so I'm good yeah and then just um with your future deliveries because you'll have your future weekly ones already scheduled just just cancel a couple and then when you get your delivery or once it ships out then just cancel the whole subscription yes SS good iser awesome thank you dude I appreciate that 100% now I'm G to see if I can utilize that code again see if we can make it work for multiple people let's see if it works it's good though like networking and stuff is so good for business it's just if it's a good feeling
(4:41:39) like being able to share your stories and stuff with other people and your like struggles and questions yeah because if it's if it's just like people that are not involved in business that you're around um it can be very oh [ __ ] it works if this works for me I'm G to check it out I'm G share it with everybody um but uh the uh yeah if you're if you're just around people that um are not part of business it's hard to share certain struggles ideas Etc with right right yeah they just don't understand they're not on the same
(4:42:15) page they don't understand me ni you know what I was going to ask you do you have to do you for your UPS pickup do you have a certain amount of boxes that's a minimum because I tried to do a pickup and they said we don't have a pickup in your area for um no I could two week it gives me an option for like one to 100 boxes and I just select like however many I have basically sometimes it's like I'll like estimate cuz I'll usually do the um like I'll schedule the pick up the night before and I'll usually estimate
(4:42:51) how many boxes like I'll put like oh it'll be like 12 boxes but sometimes it's like 16 they don't care they never question it my UPS driver yeah he comes because I live in a condo I'm going to try again I don't know if it's cuz I live in a condo or that really shouldn't matter why yeah I don't know I've done it from three different places and never had a problem so I'm G to try again then you might have to make like a business account with them or something though I have one already like it's the same one you order your labels from
(4:43:32) right yeah yeah yeah yeah I have that already so I tried to schedule it said we don't have a pickup in your area for 2 weeks interesting okay Melanie I always thought you lived I always thought you lived in BC no for some reason that's what I thought I live in Toronto oh right in the middle I swear to God you told me that you lived in BC or you were at least traveling to BC at some point I don't remember no all right I guess I I don't listen you don't pay attention Jordan obviously so PL I actually can't skip this week
(4:44:19) and like keep the same price like I could skip the next deliveries it seems a bastards but uh this one I mean hey my roommates are going to be feasting then it's okay fair enough and I tried checking out the voucher it didn't work bastard oh did it no it showed the discount to begin with but then when I tried to check out it did not work but hold on did we just unless if I could the address and change the address to where I'll be it might be able to yeah I might do that did we just find a new loop on chest plate tell me we
(4:45:00) did oh my Lord dude if we could get this to Loop I'll be ordering this every week cuz this is like homecooked meals may have just found one cuz I just got a discount code email to me immediately for free boxes and let me try one more email what hold on Chef's plates new browser new email we're going to go 22 no [ __ ] way we can just generate our own codes it's that easy what why didn't we think of this before I my place what's that you did yeah let go through you got an order placed yeah just use a private browser and uh cat on
(4:45:57) emao and go that's all so like sorry sorry like did you get your own code or did you find one somewhere else oh at the same link I found a code on the on the what called the Reddit on the Reddit gotcha yeah it's not aord just a link I click on it and got the offer so I know a lot of those links like it's onetime use so see if you can check out again in a new browser just to see if it works you don't have to check out obviously but to see if it lets you go all the way through yep sure let me check give me five minutes and I'm seeing if I can
(4:46:31) produce codes because if we can oh we're gonna be eating eating good D I'm going to have to cook again good too so it says I have three meals but three meals and then it says in Brackets six servings oh maybe you didn't maybe you didn't select the four the four servings see you might be able to change that serving size yeah I I saw cuz you'll want uh I think it's you'll want you'll want um four people three minut a week gotcha okay we're going to leave Chef's plate we're going to see if they send me
(4:47:33) a code here so four people three meals yeah so you got 12 me let's see if that [ __ ] I saved it let's see if that [ __ ] everything up hopefully not uh it shouldn't no looks yeah now we're good Beauty three meals 12 servings it says so I guess I just get like four of three meals or something so you'll get 12 12 Meals yeah yeah but it says three meals so I guess I choose three but like four each yeah you'll get four you'll get four meals yet awesome sounds good anything that you recommend that's really good I
(4:48:17) don't know what their menu is they kind of switch it out every single week so whatever whatever looks good to you man D I'm getting really hungry right now I gotta close this got my money back on my Wendy's app by the way everyone nice and my points that's a happy I just you're able to Loop the same discount no I can't no okay so we have to find something else I got emailed so I made a chef plate account with one of my with a catch all and it immediately emailed me a free box $142 off really yeah it immediately did I
(4:49:03) tried making a another account with another email and it has not sent me another discount code okay so uh what you can do how how did you create the email the same browser or use the private browser to create I use a different browser okay so I was on I was on Chrome Incognito and then the next one I used uh Brave bra yeah what work then I tried it's not sending it to me oh let me try then but the the first one I made like I I went through the process put in the email left and then they immediately sent me a discount
(4:49:50) code now now they're not send me another one let me try right now let me go downstairs and look at the factor codes so I'm going to get a snack anyways and I'll see if they're uh if I could share them already sounds good see if we can do this on my mobile data then chest plate blackm everyone's trying to find food CS I'm going to bounce I'm pretty sure I get good food coupons in the mail uh so I will see those when I see them and see what comes up with that this is Prime content you're missing out on late but no worries if you got a bounce
(4:50:53) Jaden have yourself a good evening yep sounds good take care see you later peace starting at two 299 we want that what email was that I'm just going to try this I'm buying toilet paper with my Canadian Tire Point very cool it's on sale and it's free very cool so how did I recreate this then so maybe I tried checking out with a discount code so let's try this one we tried an existing one let's recreate this then we're on Brave onun 22 show more let's look at our meals where's our meal selection get
(4:52:00) started select plan that's $23 where's my discount code put in one that's already been used get a new promo code will we get an email yeah I'm not sure how or why that first one worked but it was something and they gave me a new code instantly and it's a free box no idea why or how that worked interesting
(4:53:14) maybe it worked because the promo code was still valid when Nick checked out and then it became unvalid and then they detected that and they sent me a brand new code for a brand new box but it's the new code that you used for the new box but you didn't get a new code after that box right so like what had happened was I gave Nick that original code he used it and then I tried using it after him just to see if it would work and on the original payment screen it indicated that it was still valid so I applied it and then I
(4:53:49) want to go check out and then when I want to go check out it said it was invalid and then they immediately emailed me another code for a brand new free box so is that work so I haven't been able I haven't I have not been able to recreate it yet oh okay but I think that's the process of what happened interesting I'm back I couldn't find the codes I think my roommate took them in his room saw some moral conce trying to keep it all to himself yeah honestly I don't blame him no worries at all I have one lying around here too hold on one sec
(4:54:43) now you're making me get up not quite sure how that one worked but which code is this so I have what's the one I sent to Nick here if you if you got to know if you got to go Nick you definitely don't have to feel pressure to stick around no I'm eating ice cream right now it's okay fair enough fair enough yeah just trying to work to to finesse this I didn't find Factor but I found
(4:56:00) hellofresh 220 off I don't know if that's good or not it a what does it say let get up to 220 off plus free shipping use code b3g y claim within 30 days hellofresh.com it myself because I have some but do you want to just paste that in a message to me and I'll just see if it works for a full box just take a picture with that works too I I guess I mean even like the regular Chef's plate discount you can still
(4:57:06) get uh what's the most we can get most value we can get here you still get six meals for like 24 bucks and that's super repeatable so like it's not bad but it could be better 24 divided by six so that's $4 a meal that's not bad at all I sent it in your DMS or whatever you want to call them 220 offs let's see if this code works here y 6fw that one is not the free box which just a discount per box yeah yeah the free ones the free ones I think they say get your first box for zero doll that's what those ones
(4:58:13) say garbage the yeah Ron's going deep sea fishing holy is he yeah he posted a message in the voice chat chat and he said have deep sea fishing in the morning Drew are you still trying J what's that yeah I'm too prying yeah I'm not sure how that first one worked like I don't know why or how it did my so I don't know why it's not working for the another promo because I got the email from the
(4:59:17) taate saying that I got the discount of $142 off yeah and then that should be that should be another full free box that's the same one that I got yeah but I'm not able to claim that huh obviously there's something something that made that um produce that code so when you open the when you click on the get1 142 off on the email just make sure you don't click on that next time and copy that link and paste it to the private browser and see if it's work or not so I closed the original page but let's try see if this works now we'll go
(5:00:06) on Brave so now that same code says it's invalid or has expired yeah because we already open it with the account right probably that's why interesting like normally the codes like you can open it and apply it and then leave and it's still valid but in this case it looks like you open it you apply it once and you if you change Windows or whatever then it's just no longer valid yeah so what we have to do next time when you when we place the order get the promo copy the link of that uh get 124 off discount code and paste it
(5:00:50) to the pivate browser and place another order who knows that might work yeah it's shitty if that's what has to happen because then you can't like you can't produce multiple codes for people but yeah I mean if it works somehow then whatever interesting all right I'm gonna head to sleep now yeah okay me too Jordan yeah see you guys see you guys it was good talks definitely have a good night everybody
