(00:00) okay so we are right around start time now and we have quite a few more people in here I assume that will there will be others that are struggling in but I think we'll get started so as I mentioned uh previously when not everybody was in here what we're going to be doing is something similar to the prior live OA sourcing sessions that we have done that I have posted on YouTube um those haven't been done for like over a year but the plan is just to kind of have a loose agenda on on going through different OA methods so OA as in Amazon
(00:33) for those that are not familiar and so I am sharing my screen right now so everybody can view my screen uh the call will be recorded and I do have a loose agenda of some things I do want to cover but again this will be a very casual a casual session so if you do have any questions if you need any clarification for things as we go through always feel free to just hop on the mic or type in the chat and ask uh I find having that is probably some of the best ways to do actual learning and to more understand these processes because we can go
(01:09) through them in real time um we don't have any specific amount of time allotted for today quite often when we do these sessions they are quite long but again you can hop in and out however however you want and like I mentioned the session will be recorded but yeah uh the general plan for today though is just to go through a lot of fundamentals and basics for OA sourcing show you some information that I have found has helped my personal team with doing effective OA sourcing talk about some very entrylevel methods that can be
(01:43) entry level up to intermediate and getting into Advance uh but very affordable methods so we're not talking about a whole lot of software today unless people want to get into that at the end of the session and then at the end of the session if anybody wants to do any additional Q&A uh we can do that as well so for those that are not familiar because we do have some new faces in here uh my name is Jordan I'm in the owner of the server here and I've been selling on Amazon myself since uh November 2018 and I've been doing it
(02:14) full-time since I believe like early 2020 like basically right when Co popped off is when I quit my job and so I'm a full-time Amazon Seller I have been selling uh OA ra and wholesale basically that entire time I started wholesale pretty early over the p over the past about three to six months or so uh I've kind of transitioned out of the Arbitrage space and now I'm more primarily into wholesale but I do have extensive experience with Arbitrage of course and I do also operate a leads list company where we have a team of six
(02:48) full-time vas at the moment who do very heavy sourcing where we provide uh leads every single weekday I have had a team of up to 10 full-time vas at a time uh I've done lots of training with with people for OA sourcing and then we also have a team here locally of three employees as well so before we get started was there anything in particular that anybody would like to have covered in today's session if you have if you want to just hop on the mic and mention it uh please feel free or use the voice chat chat if not uh then we'll we'll be
(03:28) getting started here shortly okay cool everybody shy so then we'll just kind of get into it so again for those that just popping in as I mentioned this is going to be a very casual session we're just going to be kind of loosely covering everything that's on my agenda here and then if you do have any questions comments concerns about anything uh as we're discussing it please always feel free to butt in and we'll address it so we're going to be going over some of these methods and then we're going to be doing some live
(03:57) sourcing as well so the first sorry sorry Jordan I was trying to find um if we could go up on like the keeper filters like um to how to filter down to that the what's dropping down in price um what's going up in what what's going down in competition and like what's going up in price with keeper um that would be good yeah so uh specifically for keep a product finder is that correct that is correct yeah we can definitely get into that I'll just make a note to that guy here anything else before we get started that anybody else would like to cover in
(04:41) today's session at all that I don't already have on the agenda going once going twice oh we have some typing oh so joose says maybe purchasing best practices avoiding order cancellations okay definitely we can certainly cover that somebody temporarily hopped on the mic there do you want to pop back in yeah that was me I just said sold when you said going once going twice stroke around okay cool cool cool Okay cool so then to just start the session off I just wanted to talk about some Basics and fundamentals when it
(05:23) comes to OA sourcing so this is not super beginner so we're not really going deep into listings how to look at volume Etc this is kind of you already know like some Basics and fundamentals for Amazon sourcing and then this is kind of expanding your knowledge okay so these are some some of the tips and tricks that I've shared with a lot of people specifically my VA team that have really increased their efficiency over time so the first thing that i' would always mention is that when you are conducting Google searches for products always
(05:56) remember to remove the fluff text from your searches and so what I mean by that is when we're sourcing products and say we do a Google search like say with this guy here this says rers SL lantic white sugar 200 count per pack so we can always do a Google search like this but if you want to be more effective with being able to find those products I always recommend you remove the fluff text from your searches and to kind of come at it with the intention of doing like a more of a broad search so that you are able to find these results more
(06:28) efficiently so what I mean by this is typically if there's two separate Brands I might search each one individually because this is either a Rogers or Atlantic branded product they're they're the same brand but they have two different packaging and then I would also always remove like things like the 200 count because chances are these products actually come in larger packages that we're separating right so if I'm searching something like this what I would do is I would typically remove almost everything Rogers sugar package
(07:00) and I just go Canada so I'm trying to make my searches as broad as possible so I'm able to find the places that may not have as good of SEO when we're searching them on Google so you'll find this a lot with other products as well like say if you're coming across like say some kitchen cleaners or like Lysol sprays stuff like that quite often it'll have all these descripted texts like good for bathroom kitchen Etc and it'll say 20 oun 800ml all kinds of stuff I basically want to strip it down to basically what
(07:29) the product is most likely change it to the the metric sizing because we're in Canada and then I always include Canada at the back end of my search just to filter out us sites and this is what I have found has helped the most with being able to more efficiently find products so if we just back this up here briefly we can see when we do the search like this with all the initial fluff in it we do see some results so like we see Costco Business Center we see Wholesale Club Etc but quite often when we have the additional fluff
(08:02) we'll miss results like that so Costco Business Center was a little bit further down but often when we do searches like this we will not see results like this because this is a pack of 2,000 and quite often when we remove that additional fluff we will then actually see those results okay and again if anybody has any questions or comments as we're going through this please let me know I would also always recommend removing any excessive programs or Chrome extensions that you have on your workstation to make sure that you're
(08:40) kind of performing at Peak efficiency so I've talked to a lot of people and especially with my VA team uh they come to us and they have a massive amount of different Chrome extensions installed or they they're running like a bunch of programs on their computer that are just bogging it down and so if you ever find that your internet or your searches are taking a excessive amount of time to load try removing or deactivating all the unnecessary Chrome extensions that you have in your browser and also try closing out a lot of the programs that
(09:09) you have running on your desktop or your laptop uh quite often if you're running things like um an antivirus in the background it'll greatly impact your uh machine performance I spoke to somebody in the server just recently who was actually wanting to buy a brand new computer because they were saying that their system was being so slow and then I did some troubleshooting with him and he just ended up closing some programs uh specifically some antivirus stuff and then his machine was working like a top so those are just some basic things to
(09:35) always keep in mind I know they seem very basic but I know a lot of people don't think about things like that and of course the idea is when we're doing OA sourcing we want to try to be as efficient as possible because the idea is is we want to try to look through as many products as we possibly can to get through all the garbage so we can find the winners that's basically the way that we're going to be the most successful with OA in general the next thing I just want to briefly discuss is always ensure that you have your settings proper in the
(10:08) back end of your sourcing tools so this is specifically for seller amp but no matter what tool you use whether you use like rev seller um a Insight seller assistant whatever you always want to ensure that your settings on the back end are correct so I'm just going to briefly go over my settings that I have here in seller amp of course you don't need to match my settings exactly these are just the settings that we use and I wanted to specifically bring this up because I spoke to somebody not that long ago who was sourcing products and
(10:37) they had uh the vat scheme not set as not applicable it was not registered and their back end was factoring value added tax into their profit calculations which is not applicable in Canada right so the profits that they were looking at the products that they were looking at were actually less profitable than they should have been so they were excluding products that they may may maybe should not have been excluding and because they're receiving false fees and I believe with sell amp when you first open this guy up I'm not sure if it's
(11:09) ghost and not applicable by default I want to say it's ghost and not registered and if you do that it is factoring vat in the back end so you want to ensure that you uh change vat to not applicable and then just put in some realistic additional costs for your backend for your fees just to ensure that you have a realistic expect of what your profits are going to look like right so for us we include a prep fee of 50 cents of course if you use a prep Center that charges a set fee you want to put that cost in there and then we
(11:42) have an inbound shipping cost of 66 cents per kg that translates to about 30 cents per pound we have it set at that is that's because that's our personal average uh with SPD you want to add up your own personal averages and then figure out what your average cost cost would be per pound or per kg and input those costs in here so anybody have any questions or comments about any of that so far so Hugo just mentioned when changing from US to Canada and SAS sings it switch it switches it back to not registered be careful yes that's a great
(12:18) tip so you want to ensure especially if you're switching settings from Marketplace to Marketplace that they're not changing um for us when we are sourcing specifically for the US we actually have a separate seller app account specifically for us um so that our settings are never changed and we have our own separate spreadsh sheets Etc but um if you're changing back and forth and you always want to make sure that you're checking your settings any questions about any of that so far cool moving right along so then a couple um initial
(13:00) fundamentals and Basics that I would like to always discuss is when you are sourcing OA and this may seem outside the realm for a lot of people um especially if you're not techsavvy but I would always recommend that early on you start building your own product database for any leads that you're obtaining so all the leads that you are personally sourcing yourself all the leads that um your team is sourcing if you're buying leads from somewhere like a leads list or if you're P leads from anywhere else congregate all those leads into your own
(13:33) personal database and if you do that consistently over time eventually that tool will become an extremely powerful tool that you're able to Source from okay this is actually a tip that I got from Chris Grant a long time ago and I have implemented it for a very very long time uh but we've taken taken it kind of a step further and if you look in our resources uh so our guides and resources Channel and you click on one of the getbook the getbook links you can come down to resources under Amazon resources we have something called the product
(14:06) database spreadsheet template and so this will get you a a start for building your no database and if we open this guy up I'll show you what it looks like so it's pretty basic where you can just import your leads but where this kind of goes kind of a step further is it gives you keeper graphs automatically for the the opposite Marketplace so if you're importing products in here from uh from Canada it'll automatically populate the keepa graph in the US market for you which it makes it very effective to Source cross
(14:42) Marketplace and then it also provides you a filter so you can filter the data from your database as well and so this is something that we use quite heavily for sourcing because I have a database uh let me just check on my back end but I'm pretty sure our database is like over 20 ,000 products um and so it makes it very easy to Source these products now so if we say identify a sale at a retailer like say um iherb is having a sitewide sale we can very easily come into our database filter by the supplier iherb we can see all the stuff that we
(15:19) previously sourced from iherb and then we can very easily pull new products from that right so what is our database at today so yeah right now our database is updated until the end of May and we have over 20,000 products in our Canadian side and so that becomes a very powerful tool to use so any questions about that so far yeah Jordan I have a quick question about that yeah what's up so the keeper graph that you see on the right on your product uh spreadsheet is it like a picture or it's gets updated every time there's a change in the keeper
(16:08) graph of the product every time you open the spreadsheet it'll refresh with a brand new one okay nice thank you so so it is a live pcture and so you can change that too if you're not sourcing cross Marketplace so like all you have to do is if you want to include the Canadian graph you just come up here in the in the image settings and where it says domain.
(16:33) com you just change that to ca and then you copy that um that formula all the way down the spreadsheet and then that will give you the Canadian graph instead all right thank you for sure Max you were coming off the mic there did you have a question oh sorry I think I just unmuted myself accidentally no problem so then yeah like with the way that this database is set up is so like it has a separate one for the Canadian market and then for Canada to us and of course you can expand it however you want and then so if you if you regularly Source Canada
(17:12) to us you can just simply import your products in here and then it'll give you the corresponding Canadian keeper graph to Source cross cross Marketplace and when you are first building this database of products like say if you only have 10 products in here no it's not going to be a super effective tool for you but as you grow and as you fill this out more and more and more it becomes a much more powerful tool the the longer the longer you use it the more products you end up putting in here quick question yeah what's up yeah
(17:42) so for the spreadsheet you mentioned if for example I Herb's having a sale let's say 20% off would you put products that are like break even as well so when those sales do come in you can Source them or how does what do you look for in terms of leads so the way that we utilize this database is is all the products that we have actually vetted that we've qualified and that we've used we import into here okay so you can do it where you just have like a mass amount of products like anything you come across you put in here but I find
(18:12) it's the most effective with products that you've previously vetted that you've previously used or that look like they could be viable even if you're not purchasing them today okay so like say you have your your monthly budget of I don't know five grand for your spend and you're sourcing a ton more that month um I would still fill in that database with the additional products even if they're not VI if if you're not going to be purchasing purchasing them today because in the future when that sale happens again you can re
(18:38) re-reference it okay but again there's no one way to do this you can do it however you want I've recently built out a database of all of our disqualified products and we've been utilizing that to Resource products that have been disqualified and when I say disqualified those are like products that my vas have sourced that have been qualified for things like being out of stock being hard to prove sales things of that nature so we have the disqualified sheet now where we can go back into we can reference and somebody can pull it up
(19:11) say look at previously disqualified leads that were out of stock and now they can pull back up and now now chances may be high that those products are now in stock and now they can resource those products and we can reutilize those does that make sense yeah cool okay so then the next thing I would want to just briefly discuss is I would always recommend that you over time this isn't something that you need to worry about when you first start when you first start you just want to put your head down and just work but over time I
(19:52) would always recommend that you work at creating a process that is more or less the same every time when you're looking at products or vetting product information and then work on improving this to spend about less than about a minute per product to increase overall efficiency and when I say less than a minute per product I'm not talking about when you are actually going into that product and making the purchase I'm just talking about when you're doing your initial sourcing so how our process would work say if I was doing all this sourcing
(20:24) myself and I was buying OA products how I would personally do it is I would have a a lot of time spent where I'm spending time just sourcing products myself and just exporting them to my spreadsheet this looks viable this looks viable this looks viable I'm exporting them all and then I would come back in there and then I would make my purchases when we're making purchases of course we want to spend a little bit more time vetting the data to ensure that we're making proper purchasing decisions and that we're not
(20:50) under buying or over buying uh but when we're initially um filtering through and vetting information on an 08 product in my opinion once you're experienced you should be spending about less than a minute looking at that product and determining whether or not it's going to be viable for you it's going to take you a while to build up to that process but I would highly recommend that you try to get there and you also if you have any teams vas Etc you work with them to get there as well because that's going to increase efficiency
(21:21) massively it may not seem like it's going to make a huge difference if you're looking at a product for a minute versus two minutes but when you're looking at literally thousands of products uh a day which we do like we looked we've looked at over 300,000 products in the last three months it saves a ton of time overall when you just cut out you know even seconds and then my last uh basic fundamental tip I would always recommend to people is always Rabbit Hole your leads and so what I mean by that is if you come across a product that looks
(21:56) like it's viable say we come across this product here this Roger sugar and we determin that it's viable it's good to go always do a brand search and see what else you can find from that brand because chances are if we Source this product here that is a 200 count pack there's probably also 100 count packs that make sense there might be the full cases that make sense and doing that initial Rabbit Hole sourcing has been the number one thing that has taken my a lot of my VA sourcers from from intermediate sourcers to extraordinary
(22:30) sourcers cuz it doesn't work all the time but quite often you can turn one product lead into 10 20 plus just by simply doing some additional rabit hole Source on that product so any questions about any of that before we get into some of the sourcy methods confirm rle sourcing you're just looking for like variations right yeah like so for rabbit hole sourcing when we're looking at a lead there's multiple different rabbit holes you can go down but for like a lead what I would do is we come across this product we're
(23:07) probably going to look in grocery so this is a viable product so what I would do is I'd come in here and I type in Rogers or Roger sugar Etc and I would see what else I can find so not just additional variations because chances are there's going to be other products from this brand that also makes sense so we're going to find all these different packages but we may also find viability in the cubes we may find viability in the bigger bags Etc so don't be scared to go down those rabbit holes and kind of go down these tangents and kind of
(23:38) Sidetrack yourself because quite often some of the best products that you'll find you're going to be finding doing these kinds of methods another form of rabbit hole sourcing would be if you find a viable product lead like say we go back into this guy and say this product is viable cool we can start Rabbit Hole sourcing the sellers on this listing because chances are if we found this OA chances are there are probably other sellers on this listing that are also OA sellers then we can start looking into their storefronts
(24:11) and doing maybe some storefront stocking right and when we start doing like these rabbit holes we can start going down endless amounts of rabbit holes and we can end up finding extremely good product leads doing this like this product looks like it probably sells over a th per month so if if you can find this cheap enough it's a good it's a pretty good product even though profit doesn't look too high if you can Source this for like say a dollar or less per unit you can probably make a good amount of money even looking at a product that
(24:40) has a very low profit mergence assuming that the prep makes sense for you so any other questions before we carry on at all cool so the first method I want to get into I'm going to close out some of these guys we can get rid of this we can get rid of that we can get rid of that is storefront stocking so storefront stalking um is probably one of the methods that I recommend to most beginners to get started with it is kind of the lowest of the barrel kind of O sourcing that you can do um not saying that you can't find
(25:30) extremely good products with doing storefront stocking it's just it has such a low barrier of entry and it's so easy to get started with that in general you're probably not going to find you will still will find quality leads but you're probably not going to make the best use of your time versus quality leads only storefront stocking there's people that build multi-million dollar businesses just doing storefront stocking but it is a very basic very low barri entry method um and you can find a lot of better products doing other
(26:05) things generally speaking if you're doing storefront stocking a lot of stuff that you're going to be sourcing are going to be products that already have a lot of other sellers attention right and so a lot of them are going to be more prone to tanking not always but it will certainly happen especially if you're sourcing like very popular storefronts that all other Canadian sellers are stocking right because if you're all looking at like this one seller and you're all stocking that storefront on a consistent basis you're all going to be
(26:32) finding the exact same products every single week they're going to look good and then by the time you send those products in 30 40 other people are going to be also sending them in at the same time that's going to create a supply and demand issue and we're going to see that price come down on those products right storefront stocking can still be extremely viable that's a great way to start off with um but you just want to keep those things in mind I would not I would not recommend that you only want to to stick with storefront
(26:59) stocking I'd recommend that you do it you master it and then you also start working on other methods as well as you get more experiened so the couple things that I want to discuss about sorone stocking before we do some sourcing is similar to the product database I would recommend that you build yourself a seller database as well I think I actually closed that so we'll pull that back up here and the reason why I recommend building a seller database is kind of twofold let me just pull it up if I can find it so here so again under our
(27:35) Amazon resources you can look at seller info database template so you can open up this guy so the reason why I recommend having one of these is to one keep tabs on the sellers that you have scanned or that you've stocked because chances are you're not going to remember every single storefront you look through right so I highly recommend that you start inputting that data into just a basic spreadsheet or something like this so that before you start stocking a storefront in the future you can easily reference it in here you can
(28:08) see the last time you looked through that storefront and then you can also see any corresponding notes you left above that storefront right so Joe said what do you mean by scanning a storefront with software I'm just meaning by like doing storefront stalking or even using software either one we utilize this for both that's why we have scanned and then manual so like even if you are doing just regular storefront stocking I'd recommend that you use a database like this because then the next time you or your vas or whoever you have working for
(28:40) you are going to go storefront that storefront stock that store you can come into the spreadsheet you can quickly look up their seller ID and then you can see again all the corresponding information about that store right and so when we're stocking a storefront when we look through it we make notes every single storefront we look through so we'll make quick notes about you know we found a ton of products like this is a super good store or we found absolutely nothing this is trash don't don't look through this again right so then you
(29:10) know in the future when you come across that store uh that you don't need to waste your time looking through that storefront again so we put stores in here that are both viable and unviable to keep track of that information uh Joe ask what so what software can do storefront scans tactical Arbitrage yeah so you can do I think you can import some seller IDs maybe manually but you can also use tactical expander to scrape the asens from the storefronts and then import those into tactical Arbitrage you may also be able to do that with keep a
(29:44) product finder like grab the asens from the storefront keep a product finder and then import that into ta but either way whether you're using software or storefront stocking I would highly recommend you utilize a resource like this um this is basically an exact copy of what we use for me and my team so we have just our standard database uh I always like them to if they find um Corporation data or information about the seller to input it in the database just because I like to know who our competition is but obviously that's not
(30:17) necessary and then uh we also have a little section in here that is called a regular scan so if you put sellers in here and you you determine that they are viable what we do is we just check check them off and then when you check it off it'll automatically import for you in your regular scan list so we can easily come in here and we can easily find the storefronts that we want to Target okay uh Melanie said I don't like my name on there yeah it wouldn't it be nice if you were pattern though they're like the biggest seller in the
(30:50) world so yeah like if you uncheck these guys it'll remove it from the list right and then every single one that you check off will come into your regular scan list it's just something that to easily reference and again if you only have a couple storefronts in here it's kind of irrelevant but once you have you know hundreds or thousands that's just a nice little feature to have so you can reg you can very easily come in here and see uh what storefronts you want to scan you know every single month every single
(31:14) week Etc so any questions about that at all you'll see like what I'm discussing art processes again these are my opinions and my thoughts on the ways that I believe are most effective there's not any single way you can do things there's people that do things vastly different than me and are extremely successful so you don't necessarily need to follow all the things that I do these are the things that we do that I have found success with and I'm sharing my experiences with everybody else and you'll find that my
(31:52) processes are very process oriented um I need to stay very process and very process oriented and organized in order to do the kind of volume that we're doing okay so we'll get rid of those guys we'll get rid of the settings okay so then my next tip is to work on being able to quickly identify if a storefront is were stocking or not so this is going to be one of the biggest bottlenecks with storefront stocking is being able to efficiently identify if that storefront is worth spending your time on okay and this is something that
(32:38) I work quite intensively with my vas with because just recently I have found that one of my V his his main method basically all he does is storefront stock and he wasn't where I wanted him to be production wise so we spent some time uh looking through his process I actually got him to share his screen and he worked while I was observing him and one of the big things that he was doing is he was spending too much time looking at storefronts that were not viable so he'd basically pull up a storefront look through almost the entire
(33:14) storefront and then Carry On To The Next One whereas if you able to identify more quickly that's not going to be worth your time in like the first one or two pages then you don't have to waste your time going through all the additional pages and you can carry on to the next one okay so I have a couple examples here of different storefronts that we're going to go through so we're going to look at this storefront here so let's pull this guy up on solar amp and again if you have any questions comments anything like that always feel
(33:44) free to put in okay now I just pulled some random storefronts out of our database I'm quite certain none of these sellers or anybody that's here but if they are I apologize so the first thing I like to do is when I'm looking at a storefront is I like to look at their General feedback okay so if we are focusing OA in general if you are seeing a seller that is massive that has like say thousands of reviews or multiple hundreds of reviews every single month generally speaking those would more likely be wholesale sellers
(34:24) wholesale or private label um it's not super common you're going to find OA sellers at that scale you certainly can but it's not as common so that's just something that you want to keep in mind when you're looking at these sellers and you might want to just have an indication that you've come across a seller um like this one for example and you look at their feedback in the last month they have 349 feedback that would translate roughly to how many orders I think that's if we do like a rough calculation uh uh let's see
(35:00) here that would rough roughly translate to over 30,000 orders per month right about a 1% feedback rate so chances are most OA sellers are not going to be at that scale so if we're only trying to stock OA sellers we can almost immediately disqualify this storefront as it's probably going to be a primarily wholesale seller right obviously if you're sourcing wholesale and you have similar cataloges that what these guys do then you may want to look at it but if it's OA only you have a red flag immediately if we come across a
(35:34) storefront that has consistently bad feedback um if they have like a very bad rating like say like in the threes or lower most of the time I probably won't even spend time looking at that storefront because they're probably just somebody that doesn't really know what they're doing I typically source storefronts that would have about like a four plus feedback rating and then I would also Al typically stay away from storefronts that have very very low feedback okay and when I say low feedback I mean like probably like Z to one feedback per
(36:06) month if they have like say five six 10 plus that means that they're getting into better volume they're selling hundreds to thousands of units per month they probably have a better idea of what they're doing and we're probably going to get better results from those storefronts okay does all that make sense so far did anybody have any questions about that cool so those are the first kind of initial thoughts that I have when looking at a storefront so like with this one we see in the last month they've had 11 ratings so they have good
(36:43) feedback so they are a potential candidate okay so we'll open up this guy in seller amp and then what I'm trying to do is I'm trying to determine if they are primarily a private label or wholesale seller and if they have potential products have weaked Source okay and so you have to keep in mind that you will probably end up excluding some storefronts that may have some viable products when you're doing this but the idea is is you want to you'll probably end up excluding like say 10% of stores when you're trying to do this more
(37:17) efficiently 10 to 20% of stores but overall you're going to find more good results okay so when I'm looking through this storefront when we see things that are like one brand um they have consistent brands that is an indication that this is probably a private label seller it looks like they have some other products but I know just from looking at the seller in the past that this brand specifically is their own private label okay it has one FBA seller brand I've never heard of if you look at the listings they're the only seller
(37:48) ever on that listing so we know that they're a private label seller so then we also want to try to determine if they're going to have other able products so I'll take a look at some of the name brand products and I'll see if I can quickly find those via OA and I'll typically look through like maybe two three maybe up to four pages of load more uh as quickly as I can to try to determine that so like for this one I would just uh quickly do a a Google search I know my Max cost for this product is about 17 bucks so I can
(38:21) quickly do a Google Search and see if I can find that anywhere for around that price so again I'm going to remove the fluff here I'm going to put Canada and I know I want to be able to Source this for around $18 so we might be able to actually get it from Amazon so let's take a look here a lot of these are non uh that is Canadian a lot of these are junk websites so it's not available from Amazon this is the same listing it might be available at Ace Canada if you're able to Source from them so so that might be potential but
(38:58) it looks like it's Hazmat so if we're not a Hazmat seller we can continue on and then I would just look at a couple additional products so this seller may have some viability in their storefront but it's probably going to be fairly limited so my Max cost is $30 I'm just going to see if I can find it anywhere here quickly uh going remove all this stuff Earth the board game Canada my Mac cost is about 31 bucks we see it's 50 we see it's 50 60 so that's not viable and I'll look through a good handful of products just like this these
(39:39) are probably private label products I don't recognize these Brands so I'll continue on to the next one that doesn't really look like a viable product I'm kind of also looking at the keeper graph to ensure that some of these products have volume right I don't want to be looking at stuff that looks like this cuz that's going to be a entirely waste of time a lot of this looks like priv stuff so I've looked through about three four pages they do have some regular retail products most of their stuff looks like it's private label so I'm not
(40:07) going to continue wasting my time looking through the storefront so what I'm going to do is I'm going to grab the seller ID I'm going to put them in my seller database I'm going to indicate that I Source the storefront today August 7th no products found and I'm going to continue on to the next one any questions about that so far okay okay so we're going to look at a couple additional examples here so with this storefront here this is one of those storefronts I was talking about earlier so this is one that they do have an okay amount of feedback
(41:00) so they have about six feedback in the last month um but they kind of have consistently bad feedback for almost the entire last year so not saying that we're not going to find anything viable in here but chances are just very high that you're not going to and I know for this storefront in particular that we're probably not going to because this was this was a seller that was in our database and we didn't find any viability in the storefront whatsoever uh either you popped off the mic there for a second did you have a
(41:35) question maybe maybe not okay and then this is the storefront that I referenced earlier as well that has a extreme amount of feedback okay so again generally speaking when you see sellers like this um not always but just very very it's very rare to see OA specific sellers that are going to have feedback this high right you're going to see a lot of OA sellers that have like upwards of like 50 feedback per month that's extremely high but you can definitely find a lot of OA sellers in Canada that have that it's not going to be too
(42:14) common that you find OA only sellers that have 100 plus feedback per month and so again we can look into the storefront pull this guy up here quickly just to do some examples here so one indication that there are a lot of wholesale products is a lot of the products that we see have basically flat lines for their prices okay uh not saying that we can't find any OA products like this but it's very rare that we're going to find OA products that have basically an entirely Flat Line we're going to see a lot of fluctuations whereas with not all but a
(42:56) lot of wholesale products will have basically flat lines because they have maps that they have to meet and so they're basically trying to be at the minimum minimum advertised pricing will be Inc competitive and they can't really deviate outside of that price point right so we see them have multiple products like this a lot of their products are the same brand they have that initial red flag of the high feedback rating and if you just spent the time you looked up a couple of these products I could almost guarantee you that you
(43:30) will find them retail but you're not going to find them at a viable price point okay so that was the example that we're going to use next so then the next thing I would recommend is when we are doing storefront stalking is that we look through the entire storefront and we do not filter through the brand section or the category section and this is something that I've actually been discussing with a lot of my vas recently is because I discovered when doing a um a training session with one of them is when they were looking through these
(44:13) products they were looking through the brands specifically so they would start up here they' look at Rogers and their thought process was they're going to Source all the same brand and it's going to be like basically starting with rabit whole sourcing and it's going to be more effective for them I completely disagreed because if we're only looking through the brands we're going to be missing out on a ton of products right because we can see here that if we add this up all these numbers here are not going to equal the asent count that this
(44:44) seller has of 82 so we're going to be missing out on a ton of stuff and if we look through their General storefront so we just reload this here the way seller amp is built roughly when you're looking through a storefront fully their products roughly are the best selling products up top and they gradually get worse it's not perfect then we will definitely see some like stragglers in between but most of the higher ranked products are up top and then as we go more and more down the list the average uh sales rank tends to
(45:25) get worse and worse and worse so in my opinion this is the more effective way to Source storefront versus looking through just the brands or the categories individually because if we're doing this we're going to be missing a lot of good potential uh because like we can see let's see if we see something here this is global electric uh this is something that has potential it doesn't even show up on their brand list so if we're only looking through the brands that's something that we're immediately going to miss and if it's something that's
(45:55) outside of their top categories again again is something that we're going to miss so any questions or comments about any of that so far no okay cool looks like we have Ron typing out a question so I'll just wait here momentarily unless you want to pop on the mic maybe and again guys for those that are just popping in um this is a I know I go through a lot of stuff but this is just meant to be a casual session so again if you have any questions comments about anything feel free to to pop in Jordan can you hear me yeah I
(46:53) certainly do yeah so just um just to summarize what you just said when you're storefront stocking uh via seller amp or the storefront stockings well via seller amp your sourcing should be uh product focused which is not uh to say that when you're um that when you transition to Rabbit holding that you don't look at it by brand is that what you're saying so like could you clarify yeah so when uh you're storefront stocking um a particular store or on Amazon using using seller amp you look at each individual product
(47:31) as opposed to um looking at all the brands that are listed on top so your so your store forun stocking is by by Asin rather than by brand product which but that's not to say that once you do um say some more rabbit Hing you couldn't do rabbit huling by brand or category Etc so yeah like my first thought process is when I come into a storefront is I'm basically trying trying to disqualify the storefront as quickly as possible I do the same thing when I'm looking at like a brand new product okay so I'm when I'm first opening up a
(48:05) storefront I've never sourced the storefront before I'm basically trying to get a feel whether or not I should even spend my time with the storefront so I'll look up a couple products see if they look viable and then I will slow down a bit and I'll spend a little bit more time with it and actually look into the products and then when I'm looking into the products and I'm looking into to actually build my lead pipeline I'll pull up these guys we'll do some looking if this guy looks viable then I'll do rabbit hole sourcing immediately on this
(48:33) brand and then continue down the list of the other asens that are on that storefront does that make sense yeah it does make sense so yeah so when you're just reviewing the products in a particular storefront um once you find something that's viable that's when you would start your um your rabbit hole sourcing Say by brand or category Etc yes exactly so when I'm coming through this guy like when I first look at this guy I'm just looking through it briefly just to make sure it's going to be worth my time and so I found a good you know
(49:10) even one two three products that look like they could be viable cool so I know I'm going to spend some time with this storefront now now I'm going to look through it I'm going to open up everything that looks viable so like this looks like it could potentially be viable if I can Source it cheap enough this obviously doesn't this has no volume not going to open that this looks like it has potential so I'm going to open up this guy see if it's viable if it is then I'm going to Rabbit Hole that brand and see what else I can
(49:39) find okay so when you say that it looks viable do you mean that uh for example you see a keep a chart beside the um a particular as that looks like it's um uh has multiple Peak uh Peaks and dips in it say for example yeah so there's going to be a couple different things I'm looking for is I want to see that it has consistent volume I probably want to see that it doesn't have inflated selling prices so like these might not be good examples but like say this one indicated that it's profitable but the average selling price was like $10 but right now
(50:17) it's looks like it's selling for about 30 so then I know my average selling price it's probably not going to be profitable so I wouldn't even bother spending my time looking at that guy and I'm also going to potentially look at products that look like this that have no none of those uh sales rank drops because we know that there are a lot of suppressed sales ranks that exist on Amazon so just because it has no no little dips no little green uh ups and downs doesn't mean it's not selling as long as it's completely gone right so
(50:51) like something like this this product here just looks like it doesn't sell any volume whatsoever I'm not personally interested in it this one it also at the surface looks like it may not have any volume but because this is in the grocery category it is a high potential that it may have a suppressed sales rank which in this case it does so this the sales rank is just suppressed but it still actually sells volume does that make sense yeah it's a lot of variables to keep track of at once but yeah 100% it is and again like say if you're kind of
(51:29) like just getting into storefront stalking and say if you find yourself getting overwhelmed a little bit um with everything else maybe just focus on only the stuff that looks like it's good and ignore the stuff that has suppressed sales ranks right and then as you get more and more experiened and like oh yeah I I remember we discussed this before that there suppressed sales ranks I'm ready to look into this stuff now now I'm going to include some of that in my repertoire and again for anybody that's not familiar uh suppressed sales ranks do
(52:01) exist on Amazon primarily in the grocery and health and beauty categories we don't know why the products get suppressed in their sales ranks but these are just products that Amazon stops reporting sales ranks data four even though they still sell so like we can see that this product here used to have a sales rank it just disappeared but we can tell by the monthly sold stat that this item is still actually selling it's just Amazon for whatever reason whether they just decide that they don't want to report this one anymore or it
(52:31) was a glitch they sto reporting the sales rank data so keepa no longer has anything that they can chart so just because it doesn't have a sales rank specifically in the grocery and health and beauty category doesn't always mean it doesn't sell any other questions off of what's been discussed there so far cool so then yeah when I'm looking through products so once I determine the storefront I'm going to spend some time with it and I'm going to start searching products I'm going to be looking to see if the products are viable before or
(53:24) appear viable before I spend time digging deeper into that product okay if you come into a storefront and you just start open up every single product on Amazon that's going to be a colossal waste of time because we can see a lot of data up front so we can cherry-pick that based on what we can see we do not need to open up the products that look like they're not going to be viable like I mentioned with Evan's question there so like with this you may look at this and say oh that Max cost is too low I'm not not going to be able to Source it at
(53:57) that price cool if you think that's the case then you should skip that product okay um obviously if your Max cost is in the negative that means that this product is not going to be profitable at any price that you buy it so there's no sense looking into it okay we want to ensure that it looks like it has some volume minus suppressed sales ranks so it looks like it doesn't really sell anything at all I probably wouldn't be personally inclined to look at that product this product may be extremely profitable maybe it profits 30 20 $30
(54:30) per unit but I'm not personally interested myself in products only sell like one unit per month unless I'm going to profit a substantial amount like $50 to $100 plus per unit right so I'm only going to dig deeper into products that look like they are potentially viable just so I'm not wasting my time looking at stuff that's obviously not going to be viable like with something like this this is going to be a product that we can find retail but I know just from kind of common sense I'm not going to find 1.2 kgs of
(55:02) these candies for three bucks or less unless they're expired if you're not familiar with that then these are just things that you're going to pick up as you research more and more products right I can I know just off the Hop we're going to find that product at Wholesale Club specifically and then candy Distributors we're not going to find it at regular retail stores I know that just because we've sourced some products in the past that comes with experience my next tip would be to search the product itself on Google
(55:42) before directly opening it on Amazon okay so this would be for products that look like they could be viable I'll get rid of this guy we'll get rid of this guy so if it looks like it is potenti viable what I personally do instead of opening up Amazon and seeing if it all looks good I will see if I can find it first at a viable price because in my opinion we can try to find it on Google a lot quicker then the data will load on Amazon and a lot of people will end up spending a lot more time analyzing irrelevant data and then
(56:20) spending their time to go and find that on Google right so like a lot of people will open the guy up they'll like okay I can buy it for this it looks like it sells it's stable Etc and then they'll try to Google it and see if they can find it whereas you can kind of remove that entire step if you Google it first so before I even open up a product I will Google it see if I can find it for around my Max cost if I can get in and around that price then I will spend more time looking at the actual Amazon listing Roger
(56:51) sugar packet Canada so again we can see Costco has it so what does Costco have it for we might not be able to see so they potentially have it for $1 1999 for 2,000 so what does that end up being uh 1999 divid by 2,000 and we are looking at a 200 pack so our buy cost is going to be about $2 so that might be outside of my parameters so it's close so I'm going to actually spend some time looking into it uh but if it was very outside my parameters then I would just continue on to the next one entirely and then I I just know from experience
(57:31) that Costco online their prices tend to always almost always be more expensive online so I might also be inclined to add this to a list to check in store or utilize websites like Coco East or coco West to see if you can find it there at the actual cheaper Warehouse price which it tells you right there and that just comes from experience uh L Professor asks how do you calculate estimated sales based on review count so that's a good question uh we only ever calculate estimated sales on review count for products that
(58:06) we cannot prove sales elsewhere okay so the first thing that we're always looking at is to see if Amazon has this little stat here so this is still kind of new like Amazon has only had this for like I think less than a year but that's actual data from Amazon themselves and it appears on any product that sells 50 or more per month there are some products that exclude it that still sell that volume but most products that sell 50 or more per month will have that so that's an immediate thing that we can use to estimate sales volume it's not
(58:39) perfect because it'll be 50 plus 100 plus 200 plus Etc but it gives us a really good indication about how many it sells right when we get into a th I believe that's 1 to 2,000 so we have a pretty wide range but we know it auto we know automatically it sells at least 1,000 per month right and we can see estimated sales on sell amp is completely off that's why I never use that okay so I'd always try to prove sales there first if it's a nonv variation product we can correlate some sales from the actual sales rank drop data again it's not
(59:16) perfect but if we see consistent sales rank drops on a product that is not a variation we can always correlate that that is probably sales are actually happening if it's a variation we cannot use that data because the sales rank data is shared across all variance so then that keeper graph is irrelevant okay if we can't prove sales based on this I'm going to be looking into the data offers and filter by Prime and historical offers first I'm going to try to use that to prove my sales and if all that fails where I'm not able to prove
(59:54) sales with any of that then I would look at reviews but that's probably like less than 1% of products that we look at so if I can't prove sales here where like say everybody has a a purchase limit on their inventory and they're all just flat and it doesn't have an indication that sells anything here then I would come down here look into the reviews and I'd be making a very very rough estimation that about one review equals about 100 sales about 1% that's a extremely rough there are a lot of variables that go into that but if a
(1:00:31) product has like say one review every single month consistently I would correlate that to selling probably about a 100 units per month if it has one review every two months I would roughly correlate that to selling about 50 units every month right so like we can see with this one it's had three reviews in July it's had multiple reviews in June so we'd have to go through and we'd have to look at more reviews in June and then we can kind of make some correlations off of that this is going to be the least accurate but if we have to then we
(1:01:05) would use that but it's very rare that we do and again you would only want to use the reviews in the Canadian Market if you have a product that is connected to the US Marketplace as well you're going to see other marketplaces or us marketplaces below here you do not want to factor those into your reviews so like I'll just find a product quickly for an example I'm not sure if any of these will be on the US chances are this Lego set will be so yeah this Lego set says it has 27,000 ratings that's going to be across
(1:01:41) all Market places that are connected to this as not for Canada so if we look at this go by most recent we see Canadian uh reviews definitely but then we see reviews from every other country that's connected to that as and that's all within that 27,000 um total rating count we do not want to factor those into our sales because we're not in those other countries any other questions about any of that so far cool so then my last tip is when we're storefront stocking is I like to try to identify if a seller stocks Specialty
(1:02:29) Products such as Costco items are only items if there are wholesale as mentioned previously Etc because then I know where I want to relay my focus okay and a lot of this really comes down to experience but once you are experien with like Costco for example it's pretty easy to tell if a seller sources most of their products from Costco Wholesale Club Etc um or if they're sourcing from other um OA sources okay okay so when you have some experience I think this one is sorted by Rogers we're going to get rid of this one once you have some
(1:03:04) experience you can very easily tell certain sizes that are not available anywhere else are Costco exclusive sizes like I know this product right here is a Costco product I know this product here is a Costco product just because I'm familiar with Costco but that comes with experience so if you're looking up these products and you're only seeing that they're Costco okay cool then you need to ask yourself am I going to spend my time trying to Source these products from Costco or am I going to carry on to the next one right because Costco sourcing
(1:03:36) is its own kind of thing you either have to Source it in store or you have to utilize websites like Coco West C Coco East Etc so if I have no interest in ra whatsoever and I determine that this seller basically sells only ra products which they do then I would ignore the seller if you have interest in ra products then you know where you're going to find majority of these products at you don't have to waste your time doing regular Google searches cool any questions about that before we do some live storefront stocking
(1:04:18) sourcing we'll probably spend about 20ish minutes doing some live sourcing uh via storefront cool let's do some sourcing then so I'm going to close out these guys we know that these guys are no good we're going to briefly look at this one because this one had potential okay so again I've already looked through the storefront I've already determined that the storefront has potential we already determined that it looks like they are an OA or ra seller not wholesale only and after determined myself that this seller sources stuff primarily from
(1:05:01) Costco and Wholesale Club so I know where I need to put uh put my focus so that I'm going to open up all the products that look like they could be potentially viable you know like one or two pages at a time depending on what my computer can handle then I'm going to start sourcing so this looks like it's viable this doesn't because it's has too low of a a Max cost this one may be potentially viable if we're able to buy a bulk pack this guy looks like it has too few of sales so I'm not interested in that one this one looks like it could be viable
(1:05:34) this one could be so let's start looking to see what we can find so I'm just kind of looking to see if it is going to have volume again I would primarily try to Google search these guys first but if we're looking at a product I want to see if it has volume and then I want to see if I'm able to Source this for about my Max cost so look looks like we previously were able to Source this for about 5.
(1:06:00) 49 but I'm going to do a quick Google search just to see if I can find it so we see that some wholesalers or some um bigger candy retailers have it for outside of our Max cost so I don't see anything there there's one that has it um inside of my or no I think that's outside that's 650 so that's still outside but this is a wholesaler so that for those that want to try wholesale that can give you an indication that we may want to contact those guys and see if we can get some discounts right uh in here I don't really see anything else that has this in stock
(1:06:35) anywhere so then I'm just going to continue on to the next one now we see this guy so this is a 200count pack looks like it has volume we can see that monthly stat there so that's good and I see my Max cost is about 549 so I'm going to see if I can find this guy so I'm going to go Rogers brown packet Canada and again if you have any questions about any this as we're doing this certainly feel free to ask so looks like Costco may have this guy I don't really see it anywhere else and so when I'm looking through Google I'm typically looking through
(1:07:16) like the first one page of Google occasionally if it looks like it may have good potential I may go to the second page typically I don't go much further than that because again I'm trying to get through products and source as much as I can to find the good stuff so you can spend endless amounts of time looking through multiple pages of Google but chances are the deeper you get into Google the less stuff you're going to find unless you're looking for like very specialty stuff like retired Lego sets so it looks like Costco may have
(1:07:48) this so if I was a Costco sourcer I would open up a website like Coco West or coco East I would see if I can find it in here cuz that they regularly post um the retail products in here and then I would see if I'm able to Source it like that but we're going to get off of this guy because this guy is mostly R A so we're going to find another storefront so let's see what else we can find I'm just going to see if I can find a different seller in here that may have some ra or some OA stuff and again if anybody is is has any
(1:08:26) questions while we do this please let me know we'll pull up this guy maybe this guy I'm looking for guys that kind of sell a little bit more volume by chance so this guy looks like he has positive feedback he has good ratings so this one has potential so let's take a quick look at this seller if my stuff will load close it all this stuff and again once I'm done sourcing through this seller I would again determine if it's going to be viable to spend time with if it is I'm going to source as much as I possibly can from
(1:09:17) the seller and then once I'm done I'm going to grab that seller ID put it in my database make my corresponding notes and then continue on to the next one so that I have that for reference this guy is not loading for some reason there we go okay so he has a decent amount of variety of products we've already looked at this stuff obviously if you're in the same session and stuff you've already looked at you can automatically exclude that so let's see if maybe we can find this this guy might be ra heavy as well so we might want to avoid him but we see
(1:09:59) some other products here so we're going to take a look at this one so we're going to take a look at that guy so again I'm going to remove most of the fluff here so I'm just going to go like this Canada and I know my Max cost for a single one that might be off because a buy box is lower than the FBA price so I might look into that one manually or for a two pack it's about $10 so looks like we can Source this product but it's about $7 per that is very outside my requirements so I'm going to see if anywhere else has it for
(1:10:32) cheaper if they don't then I'll probably continue on to the next product so that's too expensive right now I'm just going to open up this guy just to see if it's any different because the buy box price is lower just to double check and I'm not looking specifically most products at the buy box price always I'm usually looking at the lowest FBA price assuming that it sells at that price so this would be 3657 yeah if we're sourcing it for 15 bucks right now it wouldn't make sense but maybe if we were able to find it on
(1:11:11) sale and this one we're not we're it's not going to make sense unless we're able to Source it for like six bucks which we saw was about $7 plus so I would continue on to the next one in this case so we see this guy here so this one has 55 ounce so again as I mentioned earlier is I would typically translate that to the metric system because most of our retailers are not going to have ounce in the title of the product uh but just because this one popped up here I'm just going to take a look I know it looks different but quite often the product
(1:11:52) packaging can actually be slightly different than what we see on Amazon so this is Super Washing Soda this is so clean Super Washing Soda so is it the same size 55 ounce to kg so 55 oun is about 1.55 kg this guy is 3 Kg so that's not the same technically if you're an established seller you might be able to take that risk but I think that's um too outside of the parameters for size wise so I'm looking for about a 1 kg container in Canada so this guy it doesn't look like it's available in Canada so that could be something that
(1:12:39) he's bringing over the Border or he's taking the risk on that product so then I would continue on to the next one these are products that we already looked at at the other store those are probably retail products I know that's a Costco product just from experience we're looking for OA stuff here so again as we look through this any questions comments concerns about anything so far so I know what this stuff like this is going to be like ra uhh Wholesale Club Costco stuff I know all these are Costco products so with this one we
(1:13:14) probably won't spend any more time looking at this storefront because we're looking for OA stuff but again if you wanted to Source Costco this would probably be an ideal place to start so let's take a peek at this guy so this one they have good feedback they have solid amount of feedback cool so let's take a look and again with that last one that we looked at of course we would stick that into the database before we continue on to the next one my computer's always very slow when we do these sessions so just bear with
(1:13:59) me okay so these ones have some unique more Unique Products so let's see if we can find anything here so this is Nature's Garden probiotic yogis multipack see what we can find 21 ounce Canada and we're looking for it looks like a decent size multi pack so again that's a Costco product so it might be viable if we can find it at Costco so this guy might be again another Costco Focus seller looks like they are so let me just pull up my database here we'll see if we can find an OA seller here one second who are we going to pick who are
(1:14:49) we going to pick let's take a look at this guy I hope this is nobody in the server but I'm not sure so it looks like we've had some good experience with the seller in the past so let's take a look at this guy so they have positive feedback rating they have a decent amount of feedback in the last little bit so that's a good sign so let's take a look and see what they have for us all righty we're seeing more variety here so I know with this guy my Max cost is $16 so this is Muddy patch invisible plus 39 count so I'm just going to see
(1:15:38) if I can find this for around 16 bucks so I'm going to get rid of all this other junk here 39 count so looks like iherb has it for 1918 so because I know from experience that I herb regularly runs sales uh they typically will run sales of upwards of what 20% off so if that's in my parameters that might be a product I want to add to like a list for products to watch for when those sales pop off right uh we don't see a 39 count anywhere else it looks like just iherb that's probably an IH herb exclusive price of course you can try to abuse the
(1:16:24) new new entry sign up for iherb if you want to try to abuse that so this looks like it moves an okay amount it says no buy box so we're not sure on our Max cost but let's see if we can find this guy for a reasonable price anywhere so conditioner 739 so just because it's popped up right away here this might be viable let's take a look 739 milliters conditioner 5 97 cool let's take a look to see if this guy's viable and then I'm just kind of checking overlooking just to ensure that it's a product match quickly which it
(1:17:06) looks like it is 597 may be within my parameters I'm going to confirm that it actually sells we don't see the stat here I'm going to double check to see if we have volume we do not want to go based on this stat here because that is never accurate in Canada and it looks like this guy may only move a couple units per month at the moment unless these guys have um purchase limits on their inventory so right now for me this would be something that I wouldn't be personally interested in today so I would continue on to the next
(1:17:43) one so let me know if anybody thinks I'm going too fast or they want more of a breakdown a thought process of anything that we're talking about so far so this guy looks like a variety pack so when I see something that's a variety pack often that's going to be stuff that we're combining together so often times we're not going to be able to purchase it in the variety pack we're going to have to Source each product individually right so when I'm doing a Google search I'm not going to be looking for most of this I'm just going to look for an
(1:18:16) Espresso capsules it looks like it's a three pack and it's a 30 count so this is going to be 10 units per pack so I'm going to see how much a regular 10 a 10 pack costs and then I know that my Max cost for three of them is going to be about $32 right so I'm going to get rid of most of this rural line 10 Canada and then we're going to see what we can find it looks like Nespresso is the main one that carries these espresso may have them in our parameters so this may be ible that page isn't open Okay so let's just see what their
(1:19:02) cost is here for I'm not even going to look at the one that we're looking for I'm just going to see what their general cost is for a 10 pack here so it looks like about 12260 so that might be close depending on what our cost is and I know that this is a direct retailer it's an espresso we're buying it from espresso um quite often with retailers direct we can find some type of discount or coupon code most regular retailers in Canada we can't but a lot of direct purchases from Brands a lot of times we can so I'm going to spend a little bit
(1:19:40) more time I'm going to make the executive decision to see what I can actually find here so it looks like we're looking for Odio stormio and melozio so I'm just going to type in stormio [Music] and see what I can find storo if it loads for me okay so we're looking at about 1260 so 12 24 36 that might be slightly outside my parameters but it is possible that we might get a discount code so then instead of looking for those other guys what I'm going to do is I'm going to add this to my cart and just like a random amount and I'm just going to see if I
(1:20:38) can find a discount code here quickly before I continue doing anything else because then I can know pretty quick if this is going to be viable for me or not standard account name minimum at 50 so we're going to go 300 cool okay test address I just have a fake address filled in here so I can um do this very quickly with stuff where do I input a discount code so I'm just looking very quickly to see if I even have the option right so promotional code this is an extension called honey popped up I'm going to see if they have any
(1:21:40) available and then I might just do a quick Google search just to see if I can find any it's very rare that I will spend time actually looking up discount codes um but if products look like they could be viable or looks like they may have a decent profit margin then I would spend the time looking up to see if they have any so I'll just look up an espresso Canada discount code so Hugo asks what Chrome extension to use for coupon codes I have honey installed um C cupert I believe cupert coupon birds and those are like the main
(1:22:16) ones that I have um sometimes we get stuff off of there quite often I end up finding uh coupon codes through directly from searching um a lot more so I'll look up a couple sites here 20% off that's a one time Co or that's $20 off rather not 20% I'm typically looking for like an a percent off not just like a set amount that's going to make it worth it for me that's percent off machines I'm just skimming through here quickly that's 20 so we have 15% bonus what is that that's probably going to be nothing 10% off potentially let's see what that
(1:22:59) guy is uh it just says when you auto ship I don't think we have that option yeah there's no auto ship option on here to save so in this case I think I spent enough time looking for a discount code I can't find anything so then I would personally uh continue on to the next one you can spend some additional time and you may get lucky and find something or find some way that you're able to make it work but for me I want to just continue on to the next stuff there is potential here because there's probably additional listings
(1:23:37) that also are within that price range so it might be worth spending a little bit more time just to check but I just want to continue on to the next one so this guy looks like it might be viable but 1653 this one has a slightly inflated price but it looks like it has been at that price for over a month so that might be fine for my Max cost so I'm going to see if I can find this guy for about 1653 so looks like we might be able to find it here and maybe here and a lot of these I just exclude automatically because I just know that
(1:24:12) they're us sites so we're looking for malt 1225 uh malt 1273 I know from experience that this retailer charges shipping if you're unsure you can check our supplier database so for those that are new I'll just show you here quickly in the support guides and resources open up the gbook under Amazon resources where is it are arrage retailers we have a retailer database in here so there's over a thousand different retailers in here that we have personally vetted that we have actually found viable O8 products from in the
(1:25:06) past and it has their corresponding shipping details in here so if you don't want to spend the time trying to look to see if a retailer charged a shipping you can just copy this guy look it up in the database and you can see really quickly if they charge shipping or not okay so I know that this guy charges shipping so this guy is already cheaper so this might be viable let's see if they charge shipping they do so we might just need to factor that into our costs so let's just see if this guy looks like it's going to be viable for
(1:25:41) us so the first thing is it is a variation so we know because it's a variation that the sales rank drops that we see are irrelevant we can't base any sales off of that we don't have a sales stat up here again we ignore the estimated sales because we know that's not relevant to us so that I'm trying to prove sales in the FBA stock count and so we can see based on what we can see here if it looks reasonable it looks like the stat of about 30 units sold in the past month may actually be fairly reasonable I'm not seeing like random big spikes
(1:26:19) anywhere so this looks like it may actually sell an okay amount of volume so then if it meets my profit criteria then that might be something that I add on to my spreadsheet I'd want to factor in my shipping and whatnot but that may be a viable product for us so any questions so far I know I might be going a little bit quick but I want to get through some of this stuff so then yeah I found this one and then because I found a good product what I would do is then I would spend additional time Rabbit Hole sourcing
(1:26:56) this brand specifically so I found a product that's viable I would add it into my spreadsheet and then um I would then try to see what else I can find from this brand as well through that rabbit hole sourcing because I can tell you already just because we've sourced these products before we're going to find a ton of other stuff that's viable from this brand as well uh Joe you mentioned about a restock monitor what what do you mean by that if you saw one that you had used so we do have restock monitors yes um what do you mean for the
(1:27:38) product example so like we will be discussing on my screen VI what do you mean about um restock I'm not sure what you mean you want to pop on the mic can and elaborate never mind okay no problem we will be discussing some restock monitors in the server sourcing section because this is something that I believe is a vastly underutilized tool in the server and everybody has access to their own private restock monitors that are members here okay but then yeah so this product is viable so I sourced it it looks like it's probably good I may be have to make
(1:28:23) some profit with this guy so then I would Rabbit Hole Source this brand before I continue doing some additional um sourcing for this seller here but yeah that covers most of the basics and fundamentals when it comes to my storefront stalking so we'll start carrying on here right away uh did anybody have any questions that they want to cover about storefront stalking before we do any takers everybody shy okay then we will continue on to the next one so the next thing that I want to discuss is uh server sourcing so
(1:29:17) specifically sourcing in our server uh we have a ton of resources in here that I believe a lot of people either don't know about don't know how to utilize and they're just vastly underutilized there's a ton of tools and a ton of resources directly in our server that we can take advantage of for not only you know buying and selling stuff on places like eBay Marketplace Etc but also on Amazon and I've designed the server to be like that so the first thing that I want to discuss is the deals category that we have so the deals C category that we
(1:29:54) have is primarily Bots that are scraping information from other websites and if we focus in on some specific ones and we learn how to look through these efficiently and cherry pick information we can actually find stuff in here almost every single day okay so the channels that I personally focus on when I'm looking at sourcing for Amazon are the Canadian retailers so specifically Amazon Best Buy uh hopefully in the very near future we're going to have Walmart in here right away and then we're going to expand it as
(1:30:31) well and then also the red the red flag deal section specifically uh RFD hot deals So for anybody that's not aware uh Red Flag deals is a large Canadian Forum that has been around for a very long time I think they've been around for more than 10 years and it's just a forum where people will go to post and share deals that they find okay so this is something that you can look at manually whenever you want you can come on to Red Flag deals look at the forums look through everything that they have all their hot deals and you can see
(1:31:08) everything the reason why I like it in the server a little bit more is because one it is being imported in here in real time uh but we're also not seeing repeat information okay so generally speaking when a a a new post happens on Red Flag deals that thread will get moved to the top so if it's like a really old thread and somebody posts something new in that thread it'll get moved to the top in our Forum if we've seen it before it should never be reposted again so we're only seeing new threads come through here
(1:31:47) it's also pretty efficient to look through you will see duplicates yes of most threads because we actually have two separate Bots scraping the the exact same form because sometimes some one scrapes quicker than the other and they tend to go back and forth that's why we have both of them but we won't ever see very rarely very old threads come back to the top and it's very easy just to skim through and cherry-pick information out of here so what I'm looking for is I'm looking for deals on retail products right so I don't care about groceries I
(1:32:20) don't care about manscaped I don't care about uh food deals I'm probably not going to be selling shoes unless you are a shoe reseller but probably not on Amazon on Canada specifically so I just like to scroll through here and find potential deals okay and again we're not going to find stuff every single day but for the 10 minutes or so it takes to look through all the posts for the day quite often you can find a lot of good viable stuff especially for Canada to us sourcing especially for electronics and small appliances that's where I found
(1:32:53) that this section shines the most we can definitely find some stuff that's good for Canada specifically but we will definitely find a lot more stuff for CA to us in my experience so I just go through here and I just pull up the stuff that looks like it might be interesting so name brand products that are on sale and these could also turn into potential a2a flips as well so this might be viable I don't care about watermelon or Bank deals Etc but then yeah I'll pull this up I'll see if the deal is available and then I'll
(1:33:28) see if I can find it on Amazon so this is a clearance this looks like it's a your mileage may vary depending on your store so then I would just see if I can find this on Amazon and if it makes sense at 20 bucks before I dig deeper into it at all and again we're not going to find stuff on here every single day but a lot of stuff that we can find on here ends up being very viable looking for a sixpack 36 pack is obviously not going to be viable uh was that the same that may be a match hard to tell but we'll see if it's
(1:34:15) profitable either way 20 bucks uh it normally sells for about 35 may have some profit we'll see if it sells at all before we dig deeper into it so this guy it might be hard to correlate sales with what we see in the past here but this might be something that might be worth exploring if we see that Amazon has shared the buy box in the past which they have so if it looks interesting it might be worth spending a little bit more time digging deeper into exploring just to see if there's any viability there but yeah that's exactly what I do
(1:35:02) to Source through Red Flag deals and then the process is very similar with the other um retailer deals as well so like for Best Buy for example Best Buy is organized by discount percentage so 0 to 50% 50 to 70% 70 to 100% and again these are realtime discounts So within like a minute or so of the deals hitting Best Buy's website they're hitting our bought so we can very easily keep tabs on what kind of deals are happening at Best Buy and you can very very easily see you can Source from like the last day if you're all
(1:35:38) caught up and see if anything new stands out that may be of interest to you so I would typically look at like say 50 plus uh most deals we're typically looking at like 30% plus discount for most viability so we can just come in here here and then we can see if it's going to be viable for us so we see this is Logitech wireless wave combo so it's a keyboard mouse we can simply do an Amazon search this right now is opening up.
(1:36:07) com I'm actually going to change this to open up onca so that will be fixed in the very near future and then we can see if it's viable so our Max cost is uh or sorry our purchase price is $80 that looks like that might be the match there MK K 550 we don't want renewed mk550 this guy doesn't look like it sells so then we'll carry on to the next one and that's exactly what we do this process is not super sexy but we can find a lot of good stuff doing this I personally skip like Furniture large stuff because most that's third party
(1:36:44) sellers or just doesn't make sense and now just looking at the other stuff that looks like it might be viable so this is uh vacuum stealer roll Amazon again I'm going to change this so it opens up Canada by default I have to make a note about that Best Buy Canada going to change my search parameters here just so we don't get false positives que and art vacuum sealer roll just going to look for the role and then we're looking for que and art specifically that's a two pack 14 bucks our buy cost is 20 bucks that's
(1:37:27) probably not going to be viable so we can continue on to the next one uh Warren I seen you typing out a question there did you have a question you want to pop on the mic the story Canadian maybe maybe not but yeah I'm coming through here I'm just cherry-picking information uh that looks like it could be viable um your cherry picking especially if you're just getting started is not going to look the the same as mine you're probably going to be looking up a lot more products but as you look up more more more you're going to get more
(1:38:12) familiar with the stuff that typically makes sense and your cherry picking is going to get a lot more efficient for you so I definitely recommend for those that like to do manual sourcing to make sure you take a peek through these channels again like with anything we're not going to find stuff every single day but a lot of stuff that we do find is going to be very viable for us well war types of uh question here the other thing that I'd recommend that you pay attention to is some of the the deal alert channels that we have okay so
(1:38:50) we have major minor deals and member deals so there's a lot of stuff that's posted in here that can be utilized for Amazon sourcing specifically so for example um some member deals are posted here like Melanie just posted about a discount at PetSmart so if you have your database of products from prior PetSmart products that you've that you've sourced you can very easily Source a new sale for 15% off or you can start doing some manual sourcing at petmart right so there's lots of good stuff that's always posted in here um when we see like very
(1:39:21) major deals and stuff they're posted in here as well so like uh Wi-Fi posted about some ResMed products that were on sale some people have some mixed opinions about those because of the ceas and assist um letters that been sending out but you can still find some very viable stuff with ResMed right um very soon I know flipper we've been talking about this for a while and flipper is the one that helped basically put this entire thing together but I'm hoping very soon I will have the retailer deal emails live in the server as well
(1:39:54) so this is basically going to pull through emails sales emails from every single retailer in our retailer database and display them for everybody so we have I think 11,00 sources in here now pulling through from this email and all the sales emails will be fed into this channel so you can very easily scroll through here cherry pick up the stuff that looks like it's potentially interesting for sourcing and then you can start doing some manual sourcing based on off of that uh Sor Canadian says Best Buy always cancels my orders but it's going
(1:40:29) to a prep Center any idea around that so they may have that prep Center flagged uh I know a lot of people have had mixed experiences with Best Buy uh I haven't ordered from Best Buy for quite some time but probably as short as like I want to say like six to eight months ago I've ordered quite decent volumes from them of like individual products of like 100 plus units and never had issues so they might just have that individual address flagged so in order to get around it you may have to try to have it shipped to yourself under a new account
(1:41:03) but if they are starting to crack down on resellers after that point then there's not going to be a whole lot that we can do unfortunately I don't think Best Buy has anything against resellers I think they just might have issues with fraud so you might be able to call them and you might be able to say hey this is actually me uh I'm a real person they might ask for a copy of your ID you might be okay that way but I'm not sure if Best Buy if that's why they're flagging you or not uh Joe says is this feature for gold
(1:41:33) team only what is gold team so gold team is people when they uh participate in the server you can earn points in the server and then you can utilize those points to purchase a role like go team or free membership or a lot of other different things uh gold team is just basically an enhanced role in the server they do get access to basically all of our uh server features first uh but these server features will be introduced to everybody else okay uh eventually the gold team section will be built out to like a section of like their own leads
(1:42:08) giveaways Etc it's not going to take any value away from the rest of the server it's just going to give incentive for people to be active in the server and want to strive towards becoming gold team and just really uh reward those people that are extra active in the server but this feature specifically will be available to everybody once once we launch it it is ready like flipper basically did all the work for this I just have to uh basically get it uploaded to a cloud environment and then it's ready I just haven't had the time
(1:42:35) to do it but yes it will be available to everybody uh Canadian asks if my shipping address matches my card so I might be a little bit different than yourself because we have our own Warehouse uh my shipping information does does not match my billing information and when I ordered from Best Buy I didn't have any problems so I don't think that would be the issue it's either that they have you flagged for fraud or they are starting to implement a uh a policy against resellers that's what I would imagine okay so then another obvious one
(1:43:20) that you can utilize in the server is the Amazon Amazon category so we have a category specifically for Amazon and the main things that you may want to look at is if you like doing uh a2a or Amazon to Amazon sourcing is our a2a Bots and then also the Amazon leads that we have okay so the Amazon leads that we have um a lot of them are posted by myself or from staff they are vetted by us personally um of course they may or may not meet your specific criteria so you still need to do your own new diligence don't blindly buy stuff don't ever do
(1:43:55) that with Amazon you need to ensure it meets your own criteria you can sell it it's profitable enough for you it hasn't changed or tanked Etc but we do Post regular leads in here okay it's not every single day but every you know probably about once a week or so we'll throw in 10 20 30 leads between ca ca us Etc and these are at the time of vetting are always viable products so you can always find stuff in here to get started with products to start doing some additional whole sourcing Etc right and then you can also look in our a2a
(1:44:27) bot so if you're unsure of how it works you can look in our description up here and there are full guides full video walkthroughs on how our a2a Bots actually work so again not everything in the a2a Bots are viable these are Bots scraping this data and producing it so you still need to do your own due diligence but we find a lot of solid stuff doing uh if you like to do a2a stuff we find a lot of solid stuff in here when I have time I will regularly call these out in the Amazon leads but I don't have time every
(1:45:00) single day so a lot of stuff I don't personally catch so there's a lot of good viable stuff that you can find in here yourself of course if you want to just find it in here yourself and then Source it yourself that's cool if you want to call it out and share it with the rest of the server that's cool too and You' obviously earn points for doing that but yeah like there is ton of good stuff that we find in here uh there was one I'll just show you that for those that were not around at the time there was a high smile brand one so
(1:45:34) this one was back in March and so this was an Amazon Amazon flip that our monitor picked up okay and there was a massive discount this is a new keeper graph so it doesn't look um you can't see how it looked before but let's take a look at this guy so it was detecting that the current price was we could have listed it it was estimating for about $38 and we could have profited about $14 per unit right so let's look at it and see how it actually panned out so we can see that massive uh price dip right there for $10
(1:46:07) and it was shipped and sold it was a third party seller but it was the brand directly it was high smile directly so I don't have any issues with that you might depending on your experience with a2a I don't and we can see that the average price for this product was never that low right so I had noticed this and I had called it out and I had speculated that it was a mistake from the brand because the brand at that time had a sale on their website directly but it's for the 14 strip pack not for the 28 strip pack and the 14 strip pack on
(1:46:41) their store directly was $10 so I'm pretty sure they just screwed up and mispriced their inventory on Amazon okay and so when we look at it at that time let's go back here this is what it looked like at that time normally sold for 3850 was selling for 10 and was consistently selling 50 100 300 plus units per month okay so if we do some general thinking if we're able to Source this for $10 and say sell it back for 38 once the price recovers $17 profit per unit and the brand at that time when they made this mistake hey hey how's it
(1:47:27) going so when they made that mistake they had uh about 700 units in stock and there was no purchase limit on their inventory so I definitely could have purchased all 700 myself and I probably could have made I don't know what was say like even if I averaged like $15 profit per unit times 700 about 10 grand profit but instead I called it out to the server and and I know multiple people had actually took advantage of it purchased some units and uh one one guy told me that he profited over $1,000 off this one flip and he was disappointed
(1:48:04) that he didn't buy more right so not all products are like this that come out of her a2a monitor but it definitely does catch stuff like this every now and again which is obviously extremely profitable you still have to ensure that you do your own due diligence look through it all make sure it's still viable but stuff can be extremely viable and we you can see even up to today price has never dipped back down uh it's still selling about 50 plus units per month and it's selling at uh at a solid price but yeah sorry Jordan I have a
(1:48:36) quick question what's up yeah so for A2 a2a flips like this where the brand is selling it themselves right how do you kind of um like because I know with Brands private label you have to be a little bit careful because they can IP you if you sell it back under their listing how do you kind of go about that go about vetting whether not they'll like shut you down so I think there's a lot of misconceptions around IP issues okay so like this is not an IP brand like not not IP a private label brand a private label brand would be a brand that
(1:49:10) typically is not available at other retailers okay they sell either direct maybe on Amazon other third party platforms Etc it's not an established brand that's available elsewhere okay um we can never know for 100% if a brand will submit IP complaints uh we can do some due diligence like you can uh use things like IP alert which in my opinion is not effective for Canada whatsoever in my opinion is a waste of money for Canada but the way that we do it is I look at this third keeper graph down here and I look to see if we see any
(1:49:46) massive dips in sellers at any given time okay so when we see like a seller count kind of drop off a out of nowhere that is a good indication that an IP complaint has happened okay so if we come across a listing where only the brand has ever been on this listing nobody else has ever been on it obviously we can't use that data but we can do a brand search on Amazon see other products that maybe other sellers have been selling of this brand which is obviously a good sign which there there were at that time and we can look at
(1:50:15) that data and there was never any indication that they've ever submitted IP complaints in Canada okay uh IP complaints in Canada are also thankfully relatively rare they do certainly definitely happen but they're not that common um especially when you compare it to the US Marketplace that's quite often a lot of brands that submit IP complaints in the US never do in Canada ever they they definitely do happen but it's not super common and again for those that are not familiar an IP complaints is just a brand indicating to Amazon that you're
(1:50:52) us using their intellectual property so their photos that they took that they own their copyright things of that nature so a lot of products on Amazon use standard stock photos and descriptions directly from the brand so they could certainly be subjected to IP complaints but doesn't happen that often but that's how I would do it I would look at the due diligence for other listings or the listing that we're looking at and see if we see random random Cliff Dives of sellers all right thank you and just to add on to that um for a2a flips do you
(1:51:31) use because I remember you told me something about uh how Prime accounts you can't use them technically for a to8 flips but um do you just buy it from a non-prime account how how do you go about it and like do you have multiple accounts you know I just want to know more about that yeah so I primarily use um a lot of friends and Family's accounts because you'll find um for first thing is you cannot use prime shipping to purchase products to sell back on Amazon you can buy products on Amazon and send them back in to Amazon
(1:52:01) for selling that is completely within terms of service you cannot use prime shipping benefits to do that it is outside of terms of service okay so there definitely are people that have done it have gotten away with it but it's not got it not worth the risk in my opinion uh but I have access to I think about 10 different people's accounts that I buy products with to do a28 flips um I preferred to go that route versus making my own because I've tried to make my own as well but when we come across products that have um purchase limits on
(1:52:31) them from Amazon almost always those orders get cancelled from the other accounts because Amazon has linked me to those other accounts if I use friends and family even on my regular desktop on my IP address they almost never get cancelled so I just have access to their accounts with their permission I uh only add on my credit card information while I'm making purchases uh and then I delete it for those I don't trust as much for those that I trust more it just stays on there and that's what I do gotta thank you
(1:53:03) yeah so yeah uh a2a section can be extremely viable again you still have to do some due diligence and some vetting but tons of good stuff that comes through here there was also that product that I posted I think like a month or two ago it was a a2a flip for I think the US market uh so this guy so this was an a2a flip for the US market and so it was shipped and sold by Amazon this was a product that regularly sold more than a thousand units per month Amazon had it priced for 65 bucks and it regularly sells for
(1:53:42) around 130 okay so it was right in here they were selling it for 65 bucks and it regularly sold a th000 to 2,000 units per month so assuming that you could afford that and assuming that we would expect the price to come back to where it was right now it's dipped a little bit but I would fully expect it to recover back to around 130 bucks that was like $25 profit per unit and they share the buy box so if you were able to purchase that many units you could have you know sold hundreds of these in a one month period and profited
(1:54:16) 20 25 bucks a pop us so not every single product is like this but there's a a good opportunity that does to certainly come through here and then I would also recommend that you utilize the tools that are available to you in the server so Joe asked earlier about the restock monitors everybody in the server has access to private restock monitors so you can monitor for items privately without um exposing them to anybody else and you get notified from our bot when those products come back into stock okay that's a super powerful feature that I
(1:54:55) don't think a lot of people use um so if we come into the general category and you look at the command list this is the list of bot commands that everybody in the server can personally utilize okay so the section that we're looking for is restock monitors private so this goes through and it shows you how to utilize it so you do have to read a little bit and learn a little bit about it but once you figure out how to utilize it it's pretty easy e and there's also a walkr video right here as well it does say that it's limited to 10 unique restocks
(1:55:29) per person but we don't have a hard cap on it you can actually do more okay so it's our developer who's from Germany so he's not even Canadian he keeps tabs on it uh I've heard him tell me that some people have upwards of like 40 products that they're doing that's fine as long as people are not abusing it if you come in here and he notices you add in like 100 products in a day he'll probably shut you down from to add more products just because it uses resources um but you can add more than 10 okay so all you have to do is just go
(1:55:59) to Our member bot you can access the commands and then you can monitor items privately for restock okay I'm going to open this guy up on my secondary screen here I'm just going to um not expose my data so just give me a quick second and I'll show you an example of how it works and there's hundreds of stores it supports okay it supports most of the Heavy Hitters for Canada like Walmart Toys R Us Best Buy Etc uh but it also supports a ton of other websites so let bear with me for a quick second I'm just going to uh get rid of some stuff so you can't
(1:56:37) see anything here okay so we're all good so all you have to do is just right click on this and message the bot to get started and then the list of commands is here okay you can run the uh M exclamation mark M monitors command and it'll show you this this shows you all the restock monitors that are available so there's literally hundreds of different websites you can use Canadian Tire Amazon Best Buy a lot of us sites Indigo iherb we're always adding stuff in here to the source so if it's a if it's supported in here you can add it
(1:57:18) and then what this does is this will add it to your own private restock monitor and whenever our Bots pick up a restock it'll notify you literally within like a few minutes typically within a few seconds of that product restocking and my experience is a lot quicker versus using like um a Retailer's um like email system or notification system because I have added stuff on here from iherb and from Indigo where you can put in your email and they'll notify you when it comes back in stock I have done that and added in my
(1:57:49) restock monitor I got notified on my restock they were in stock and they were in stock when I checked them I never got the email from the retailer so these are super powerful tools to utilize for OA it's very easy to use like I'm just going to find a random product here we'll just find something from say Toys R Us Toys R Us Lego set cool so this is a Lego thing that I posted in the Lego flips earlier so depending on the retailer you either have to use the full link or the skew of the product and the skew is just
(1:58:22) typically like the last few string of letters and numbers so let's just try the full link for Toys R R Us here first so I just go M add Toys R usca link then the bot will tell me if I did it right so it says it requires the skew cool I'll grab the skew M add Toys R AA skew it'll think for a minute and then it'll add it to the monitor now it's monitored whenever that product restocks I will get a ping directly from the bot very easy to use very underutilized tool very powerful tool in my opinion this by itself is worth more than the server sub
(1:59:08) subscription if you actually use it yeah you spend no time having to recheck products if you do any type of OA uh any questions about the restock monitors at all or anything else that I've discussed so far cool so we do have some other tools uh that you can certainly utilize in the server that can be extremely helpful for Amazon we have a lot of tools in the server but a couple that are extremely helpful for Amazon uh one is setting your own keywords in the server so that is found under the keyword Pinger here you can also find
(1:59:57) information about this under uh getting started server experience it walks through and it shows you how to set keywords so notifications roles keywords and so what keywords are is you can set our bot to monitor for any keyword that you want in any channel or category that you want in the server okay and you may think well why is that important it's because we have a ton of bots that are actively scraping many sites for deals new products price errors Etc okay so if you want to monitor for a deal that potentially
(2:00:41) happens all you have to do is set yourself a keyword as soon as they're bot detect that keyword it'll send you a DM and then you never have to even monitor that channel you just wait for direct messages from the bot then you can review that information okay so like for example say you want to monitor for sales for Lego products on Amazon you can set yourself a keyword for our Amazon Deal scrapers for Canada for Lego and whenever it detects the keyword Lego it'll ping you in the channel and it'll send you a message and then you can look
(2:01:16) to see if that deal is viable or not so I find a ton a good stuff doing that to flip back on Amazon itself and locally and personal deals um see like this one here I think this one was a false uh false ping because I have a keyword for myself set for Apple because we've seen an Apple Watch sell on here for $35 so I wanted to ensure that I'm notified the next time that happens so it detected the keyword Apple it pinged me and then it sent me a message so you will get some false pings but I want to ensure that
(2:01:50) when those deals happen I'm going to see them because a lot especially if the price errors if you're the first one to do it you're going to get it everybody else is not going to because they're going to sell it immediately so we have all of our deal channels of course but then we also have our scrapers so our scrapers are actively scraping all of these websites for specific keywords right and you can monitor these for those if you want if you go into a channel it tells you up top what keywords they're scraping for
(2:02:23) so for Costco it's scraping for certificate Disney gift card Halloween for the upcoming Halloween deals Lego off because that's how um their products are searched on Costco for deals online so whenever detects that keyword for a product that's on sale it puts it in here so then you can very easily set a keyword for a specific brand or for the word off and then you can get pinged whenever it detects those new prod products so again it just helps automate your system if you want to do it it's not necessary but they can be extremely
(2:03:01) powerful tools to use I use this a lot for specifically the upcoming Halloween drops that have been happening at Costco because we know that those are going to be profitable to sell on places like eBay and on Marketplace so I have a keyword set for myself for Halloween whenever it detects Halloween in here which it has previously uh like here the Disney uh Mickey thing I get notified about it any questions about the scrapers or keywords or anything like that I know some of this might be if youve never utilized tools like this it might seem
(2:03:41) like oh my God like that's super intimidating um it can look like that on the surface but once you actually utilize them it's pretty easy you just have to spend a couple minutes just to learn how to how to use them and if you ever need help you can always open up a ticket and either myself or one of the staff members will help you out you you don't ever have to feel ashamed to ask questions on how our stuff works these tools are here for everybody to use I spend a ton of money on these tools every single month
(2:04:07) so I want to ensure that our members are actually using them so any questions about any of that so far okay so I have a quick question hey man how's it going good yourself pretty good so kind of on the topic of restock monitor are there any uh Bots or scraping tools that integrate with your um Google Sheets or Excel that you know of so like for it to scrape data and then from your own database like if there's if there's a restock from your within your database I don't have something like that there may be something that exists
(2:05:02) I don't believe there is that would probably like a custom tool that you'd have to build got all right thanks for sure that could be a very interesting project I think it might be pretty robust but I think if you could do something like that it could it could be very helpful especially with a large database but very very difficult I would imagine so then yeah for also the new members that are in here um it's been longer than I originally anticipated unfortunately um I'm hoping to have it fixed soon I just don't have an ETA
(2:05:41) exactly when yet but we have our seller watch bought as well it's been down for about a month it's our own in-house bought um it's just the code that was built for it I believe was not built properly for the amount of users that we have so like it still works it just it's not working properly for the volume that we want so I'm trying to get it fixed as soon as I can but that's like um it's a bot that puts storefront stocking basically an autopilot for you you attach your own keep account to it you can add in uh whatever sellers you want
(2:06:15) and then it actively scrapes those seller storefronts and notifies you in your own private thread whenever those seller stock new products um so if you find a viable storefront stock you can add it into seller watch and then you can basically manually storefront stock their store first add it to seller watch and then be notified every single time that seller stocks new products and then you can easily see the information that's there and then reverse search it and see if it's viable right and so it makes doing like storefront stocking on
(2:06:48) viable storefronts extremely easy and that tool by itself I have personally replaced at least one VA with using that tool for the amount of efficiency it improves our systems with unfortunately it's not working at the moment um but we did have it extremely steady for like over a year um which just we need to fix some bugs because it's our own tools and so sometimes that happens but I'm hoping to have it fixed soon and so yeah when we have that tool back up and running anybody that does OA that's a super super super viable tool
(2:07:24) and then is that that's for both uh CA and us right yeah you can use it on any Marketplace that you want any Marketplace that Amazon supports all right 100% And then the next thing I wanted to mention um it's just like kind of like side project that we're working on uh is the cell calendar so we're basically putting together a calendar with all the important dates when it comes to sellers it'll be in a a Google Calendar that everybody can subscribe to if you want and then automatically have those dates show up on your personal calendar or a
(2:08:05) separate calendar for you and so the reason why I include it for this is it's going to include like uh sales restart dates or known known viable retailer sales so like for example uh Canadian tires sales restart every single Thursday so it's going to have a notification every single Thursday that Canadian tires sales restart on Thursday and it'll have that for every known retailer that we have it'll have you know every single November start of November it'll have notification that the ordinary has their sitewide sale
(2:08:41) on so obviously these are things that you can find yourself but these are all just going to be congregated into one calendar that you can subscribe to and very e very easily see that data and then it'll have other important things on it like Filipino holidays if you have VA uh VA sourcers from the Philippines it'll have known trade show dates all like when the multiple season is in in Canada and the US things like that so it just be like a helpful tool as a general reminder for dates that are or can be important for sellers
(2:09:22) so any questions about any of that before we continue on to the last section last section we're not going to spend a ton of ton of time on cool so I already kind of mentioned a little bit earlier um in the retailer deal email section that we're working on is doing sourcing specifically through retailer deals SL manual sourcing so I think this is something that's very slept on when it comes to OA but if you build out your own essentially database or email which we're going to be essentially doing for you in the server you can get a lot of
(2:10:06) good data and you can Source a lot of solid products doing so okay so what I mean by this is subscribing to all retailers that you would like to Source from subscribing to their mailing lists preferably in a separate email because you'll get a ton of of emails and then looking through that information to see if there are viable Sal sales in there for you to source so it' be primarily focused for manual sourcing those sales but you can also use that information and Source these on like things like tactical Arbitrage of
(2:10:38) course so there are tools that exist that you may have heard of like called sales gazer that is basically the same thing but that only supports websites that are actually on tactical Arbitrage by default whereas if you build your own or you utilize a tool that we're that we're putting together it'll have a lot more retailers that are outside of ta like I mentioned our database is like 1100 1100 um Canadian retailers on there and guarantee you like only like maybe maybe 100 at the most are on ta and so this is
(2:11:15) a tool that my team utilizes on a regular daily basis they come through here here they don't look at everything they only look at the stuff that sticks out that looks like it could be viable so like if it's a a source that we regularly Source from and it has a solid a solid discount in the title we we notice that then we can start sourcing that right so like I would look through here if you are somebody that sells Nike Foot Locker has 30% off of Nike so that would be something that you can manually Source um let's see what else we have
(2:11:50) here and again what I encourage my team to do is when they first start work this is feeding through to our slack Channel via web hook so they see all the emails in a slack Channel but when they first start work you know when you're sitting down drinking your coffee spend 10 20 minutes see what sales are happening what you want to what you want to work on and then start sourcing those and you'll again you're not going to find stuff every single day but for the times that you do you can find a lot of good stuff like we got notified when IH herb
(2:12:19) was having their sitewide sale of whatever it was 20% off last month we sourced a ton of products from that sale we wouldn't have known it if it wasn't posted in the server or we didn't see it in this email right so again I'm not I'm not looking at most stuff I'm just looking at stuff that good solid sales on for like good products or sitewide Etc right so let's see what we have here don't see anything too interesting there you can also like search in the mail by keyword if we have like an up holiday right so like say if you want to
(2:12:54) search back to school or uh when it's Black Friday you can just search Black Friday and you can see all the Black Friday sales Etc you can do that too that's very effective as well uh flash sale protein bars maybe what else do we got I can't read French but jer's cubes if they have 25% off on whatever that is it might be viable I cannot read French so one of you guys that are in here that Ken may see that something else as viable uh Asus extra 30% off selected sale that could be extremely viable depending on what products it's for uh
(2:13:32) they sell like a lot of products like the ordinary for example or highend name brand products that can be extremely viable so I can reference my database for previous products that we sourced and or do some manual sourcing uh Clinique assuming that it still stays viable in Canada quite often they'll have a 30% off sitewide sale we can find a good a good chunk of viable stuff in there at that time that is not viable when it's not on sale right a lot of OA we can find a lot of stuff that's viable at retail price but a good chunk of OA in
(2:14:04) general especially at scale is going to be stuff that you're finding on sale that's just the kind of the nature of the Beast so then yeah we look through this we'd find something then we do the manual sourcing for that site uh anybody have any questions about that at all mention that mention that and mention that Anthony mentioned Clinique is restricted in Canada since a month ago fair enough so then obviously we wouldn't be sourcing Clinique then I know they restricted in the US many many months ago so good to know that it
(2:14:39) actually came to Canada now so yeah I've been talking a lot so that kind of wraps up most of the basics fundamentals stuff like that that I wanted to go through and discuss so if we want to just have like a general conversation back and forth Q&A anybody wants to chat with one another certainly feel free uh Ron mentioned is Van cream restricted in Canada I'm not 100% certain if they are or not but yeah if you have any questions about anything that we discussed or Amazon General certainly feel free to ask or chat or whatever you want to
(2:15:23) do I have a question hello what's up Melanie um back to your um Ada sourcing yep when you said you use your friends and family yep do you see the problem like if you were to buy something but the invoice isn't in your name that's the only question I have no because my because I have done it like from a business account but they limit you right it's usually three or nine awful no because I actually put my shipping information as my own information on the on the orders and Amazon doesn't limit me when I'm using somebody else's
(2:15:58) account as stupid as it is okay yeah okay that's good to know if you did use their information and like their credit card so like you're you didn't have your billing information on there there on there then yes you have problems because you don't have documentation but I include my own info and I've never had issues okay that's good to know cuz I know with um have the Amazon business account without Prime and they limit you to either three or nine or yeah and it's been really stupid I don't know why they have such
(2:16:31) restrictions on business accounts especially typically it'd be the other way around like you should have less restrictions on business because they're normally buying volume yeah yeah it doesn't make sense yeah I want to go buy than I went to go buy dog poop bags like Amazon Basic dog poop bags and it said I couldn't buy them because I had business account I like are you serious oh my God yeah uh Anthony asks will I upload record a 100% so when we're done the session uh this evening um it'll get uploaded and then it'll be shared with
(2:17:05) the server it'll be under the guys and resources Channel and I'll ping uh Amazon once it's posted in there it'll probably get posted either later tonight or tomorrow um yeah my bad um sorry I have a question uh regarding uh violation I've been U well I've started selling on Amazon since January and uh uh what looks like well what scares me it's all the violation and you know what happened with w and another guy they got their account um uh not banned but uh well you know what happened and uh I just want to know like a little bit more regarding
(2:17:48) like uh what we need to uh as a new seller what we need to watch uh for validation and stuff you know like that for not getting banned yeah or suspended that's the word I was uh searching for so as a new seller it can actually be kind of scary because you you have less leeway of things that happen and there are things that can happen outside of your control that can cause suspensions 100% I've seen it a lot thankfully most suspensions unless you are specifically trying to screw with Amazon system or violate their
(2:18:22) terms are not permanent um but the biggest thing that you want to do is ensure that you're not doing things outside of Amazon's terms or service you do not want to be purchasing any products from third party sellers So like um from Walmart you don't want to purchase from anybody that is not Walmart that's a big no no um and then you just want to try and do everything as much on the up and up as possible and if if you're like doubting something that like should I do this or not then you should probably tell yourself that you shouldn't do it so
(2:18:55) like I've had people say um oh like when I'm sending in boxes to Amazon sometimes I'll let it ride slightly over 50 pounds okay we know the max is 50 pounds so if you have a feeling that you shouldn't be doing it don't do it because Amazon you might get you might skirt by every now and again but generally speaking Amazon doesn't around and they will take action on something if you are intentionally doing something if you make mistakes that's fine it happens you just have to ensure and Amazon generally speaking gives you a chance to address
(2:19:31) and correct those mistakes um besides that like you just need to just try and play it as safe and legit as possible and hope for the best um I know people in here like Melanie she had a a false suspension for a very long time time but she was able to get her account back after an extended period of time uh but thankfully when those things happen it is extremely rare and usually not always Melanie is quite the exception usually when it happens um it's for a very short period of time like usually no more than like 72
(2:20:10) hours all right I see is there like maybe a list or you know a maybe a place on internet where we can see like you know the validation the rules that we need to uh uh to know and all that stuff basically you can look directly on Amazon's terms of service so they have it they have it directly in Seller Central yeah can you hear me yeah I can hear you yeah yeah so also if you go into your Amazon account and you go into the health um section like account health section you could see what types of violations are there and um you could
(2:20:50) just do a quick quick Google search to see what they are yeah that's a good tip as well but yeah like most violations that you have like say like a restricted product violation or even product authenticity or I IP or suspected IP violations um some of those can have major impacts to your account when you're brand new but once you have some metrics and as you grow individual violations tend to have less and less of impact on your account so like somebody that's brand new if they get one authenticity claim or one authenticity
(2:21:29) um complaint uh their account can get suspended immediately whereas if you have somebody that has a very established account that's been selling a good amount of volume that has been on Amazon for six 12 months plus one individual claim is probably not going to have almost any impact to your account if you have a ton that come in at once then yes it will it might it might happen um but again those things are very rare and also if those things do happen like specifically authenticity claims IP complaints Etc uh thankfully we have a
(2:22:04) community of people that you can talk to and you can get support on how to deal with them as well all right thanks I appreciate you for sure if I can give one little pointer um for my own experience not that I did anything wrong but everyone just keep your books clean you know so if they ask you for invoices whether it's from ra or from OA or from wholesale you have everything to give them and you should be fine it's scary at the beginning but you'll be fine definitely Anthony said uh received 20 po policy violations yesterday the high
(2:22:47) health account saved me I assume that's probably like the suspected intellectual property complaints right the ones that are suspected those I believe are not really having really any impacts on accounts and I don't know if it's a glitch or not but um yeah I've seen quite a few people that have had them and thankfully they haven't had any impacts they're not actually IP complaints it just says that they're suspected I assume that's what you had considering that's what I've heard other people say as well yeah and can I just add something
(2:23:21) on top of that for the IP stuff of course yeah like a lot of these Brands I that's what I don't understand about some of these brands on Amazon they don't want other people selling their product although they do have the feature to restrict their listing like um my business model is mostly liquidation so my SKS uh differentiate all the time and I've got hit with a couple of them mostly is just them trying to just scare you off uh lawyers send you letters as well I've had one track my address down all that stuff
(2:23:47) send me a letter um but real re in reality uh Jordan told me this as well when I I was freaking out over this like oh my God how how they get my personal information it's just Scar Tactics so don't worry about it as long as you have the invoices should be all good yeah like we've had quite extensive conversations in here about C synthesis letters because that is actually that's pretty common that's a lot more common than IP complaints I've had over a dozen um those are almost always Scare Tactics and we've had had good conversations
(2:24:21) about them so as long as like I can reference those uh conversations about the things that you just need to follow as long as you're within those guidelines you have nothing to worry about so it was about Cosmetics with b metropost or isopropyl whatever that says ingredient got my health score dropped by 150 points seems like a wave o yes that's a different thing than we were talking about but yeah Amazon does a couple um catalog cleans like once or twice per year where they start doing these things and a lot of times um they're products
(2:24:58) that they might be in violation but a lot of times they're products that are not they shouldn't even have those violations and you have to have pain in the ass to try to appeal them but yeah like in regards to the cease and assist letters um those happen because yeah brands are trying trying to control their listing they're trying to control the supply chain um but that is anti-competitive and to an extent is kind of illegal the only way a brand can tell you that you are can't sell their products legally like like you're physically IL legally
(2:25:39) not allowed to sell these products is if they are stolen or if you're offering a warranty for that product that from the manufacturer that doesn't transfer to somebody else right so somebody a brand can tell you that they don't want to sell stuff to you and they they can refuse to do business with you but they can't legally tell you that you can't sell that product we live in a free and open Marketplace so they can't do that they can go through the channels to attempt to lock down the listing for like IP issues brand registry stuff like
(2:26:11) that but they can't litigate against you for selling a product that's very anti-competitive and that's extremely legal but Brands will certainly attempt to try so yeah anybody else have any other questions comments anything they want to discuss can it be out of uh the scope of the stuff oh go ahead go ahead no Danny you go first all right um thank you um can be outside the scope some of this stuff yeah of course okay so um essentially speaking business business is going well right now and um I'm looking to getting
(2:27:00) like industrial commercial space for uh warehousing purposes like maybe a suble so on so forth um the thing is I really want to build out stronger systems for my business and um from what I can tell Jordan you're like crazy on systems you have systems for productivity of your you have systems for productivity of people in house you know um how do you come up with those systems and how did you kind of uh perfect them to a te let's put it that way I wouldn't really ever say any of them are specifically perfected um
(2:27:30) because I'm always adjusting them but the big thing is actually working inside of your business like doing the daytoday seeing what's happening and then wanting some way to track it or improve if you are completely disconnected from your business and you never see what's happening in the day-to-day you won't be able to see what's happening you won't try to improve things you won't um see if things are going wrong um so not saying that you have to be involved like in your business in the day-to-day all the time but I don't think you should
(2:28:04) completely disconnect yourself from it and then it's just coming at it and thinking about what what can I do to help improve this and then trying it that's really all it is so like for example when I started wanting to track my VA production because I noticed that it is a good potential that not everybody's pulling their own weight but it's hard to tell because we don't have those stats available to us um or I have to sit there and just manually count hundreds of products that have been sourced disqualified Etc so I'm like okay so
(2:28:35) what can I do to build the system to help track all those stats and then just slowly keep building out and improving on it from there but none of the systems like none of the stuff that we built ever came polished or super clean and most of stuff that I started doing looked like absolute when I started doing it and we just slowly build it out more and more look better cleaner more information Etc it's just it's work in progress Melanie what were you gonna say I had a stupid question um here it goes you know um
(2:29:19) when you can subscribe on something how do you subscribe and then unsubscribe like on a certain product you know what I'm talking about like for like a restock notification no like if you're you're buying something say on I don't know website say on Walmart oh like a purchase subscription yeah okay so and you subscribe to get the cheaper price yep how do you unsubscribe so you don't get the stuff s you yep every month so it's it's going to change I know you know the answer it's going to change from retailer retailer but
(2:29:59) generally speaking you just go in like your your settings your profile there should be a section of most retailers for subscriptions you just go in there you manage it you cancel it after the product shipped yes so yeah like a lot of places like Walmart or Amazon for example you can get a cheaper price first time you got the product if you do subscribe and save it makes no sense to not take advantage of those savings especially like when Walmart has like 15% savings so you can do that buy the product uh just set
(2:30:31) a a long future delivery date like multiple months so you don't accidentally get another shipment sent to you in like a week and then yeah once product ships just go into the back end of the account and cancel it you get those savings and all get to go do that all the time I figured yeah you had 15% 15 yeah it's kind of like Chef's plate or whatever you you pick the further out date and then you cancel once the stuff is Shi same same kind of concept I guess exactly okay thank you definitely I know we have uh quite a few
(2:31:19) new faces in here so because Melanie mentioned it if you haven't already make sure you join the utility server and we have some things in there on like how you can get some free food and some discounts um so right now like you can get basically free food from Chef's plate hellofresh good food you actually get really good food for extremely cheap like Chef plate you get 12 meals for $4.
(2:31:44) 99 and it can be looped over and over and over again if you follow the instructions that are in there so you can eat basically almost for free which we've been doing for months uh Uber Eats is also in there as well for Hefty discounts um it's been slowly getting clipped but we're working on some ways to kind of get it back if anybody hasn't used it yet use those discounts it'll probably still work for you uh the ones that have been abusing it like myself um it takes a little bit more to get around it nowadays but we're working on some new methods yeah I mean like the chefs
(2:32:19) played by itself it's you save like over 100 bucks per order and you can basically eat for a week for one person for $5 which is insane and you can do that every single week so yeah any other questions about anything comments about the server were you wanting to ask something there Ron maybe not everybody's quiet today yeah I feel like everyone's shy today what's what's going on normally after these sessions we have like a back and forth for like multiple hours fair fair enough yeah oh well maybe maybe let's kick I
(2:33:13) I'll kick some stuff off so um this directed towards like maybe I don't know sellers who have t taken off funding or maybe some lending so on so forth I know Amazon can came out with um the lending program recently has anyone taken avenge of that so I know I I don't know about anybody in this chat but I know multip people in the server have like uh I think mey Fred and multiple other people have as well yeah yeah and like um oh someone someone unmuted for a second [Music] no they they offer me 8,000 but they're
(2:33:54) not going to take it I was I was was watching it build just how curiosity why wouldn't you take it usually they like from what I've seen comparing to traditional bank loans they have better terms um for me was the botton leg for me wasn't really the capital but actually the products to source so it wouldn't did not make any sense for me so you just had you didn't have enough Pro of source to utilize that capital is that correct yeah got yeah so prop that was okay just that H souring is sucks fair enough no it's it's same for
(2:34:42) me they offered me like uh around 6,500 but um right now I don't really need those funds so maybe maybe soon just depends on sourcing so on so forth yeah it's nice to look at though each and every day yeah that's true they literally call me every day I'm going to apply and see what what they give me as far as terms go just to see what they say if it's you know what percentage it would be worth it yeah like for me they offered me I'll just be transparent they offered me 2.
(2:35:18) 9% cash advance fee no interest which is like unheard of nowadays interest rate like to get a decent loan is like 8% minimum and uh like I I work at a bank part-time so I also I also know kind of what the rates Market rates are at so like if you guys can get the funding if you need the funding definitely go for it I in my opinion like I show it to some some of my people that I know like you know they deal in finance so on so forth and they they're like yeah this is get it you know why not how long to pay it back I think they
(2:35:53) 6500 yeah so essentially how it works they take 25% of your receivables so whatever goes into your Amazon balance they automatically take it out and it's like considered as your payment so let's say for example like um a 100 bucks goes into your receivables uh today they'll take 25 bucks of it and it goes towards the repayment of the loan but I think with some of the other guys like Fred or whoever they were saying there's a term so if it's six months or three months or four months so I actually talked to Fred and those
(2:36:28) terms is um so there's three different options I I know the first two I forgot the third one first one's to buy more inventory the second one's to repay a loan so he actually used that money because it was Bare terms to repay another loan that had higher terms so that's why they gave him a term um because he's not using it towards receivables he's using it to pay off other debt yeah I remember that now yeah what was this what was the second one to buy product right yeah exactly and then there's also a third one but I I don't
(2:36:56) remember what that was for wouldn't the vi straty see what they give me couldn't hurt yeah like have you guys ever looked into doing the balance transfer method from credit cards yeah uh I they get 0% as well for 12 I but I'm a little bit paranoid about it because I did that with American Express they have that um 55 day grace period I did that I had unlimited spending on that card uh and then they limited me and I barely use my AMX anymore because my credit limit on that card is like a thousand bucks which is
(2:37:37) ridiculous and I'm trying to I tried appealing it so on so forth so I'm a little bit paranoid about balance transfers because they can from my experience it's brought my um credit limit down completely so it it sucks but that's crazy low 1,000 for an ax it's not a charge card right I mean no it's the business gold one which I was shocked too I was like guys like even it's because okay I think I know why it's because it's because of my age realistically like I'm I'm I've been saying this all the time I'm 20 right so
(2:38:07) they oh you don't have the credit history okay yeah I I have some credit history but they're just like they see a 20-year-old spending thousands of dollars every month they're like hey h no no no that's not that's not how he roll so yeah that's that's it's so strange because in America um I got approved for a US Visa for $6,000 and all my other cards are like a thousand limit but that's CU I need to also build business credit so that's what it is what it is you know yeah it could be a combination of your history
(2:38:35) credit history and your credit score and all that yeah exactly so you saying after you did the credit transfer that's when they dropped your limit or you always had a low limit no I had on my ax they have um like unlimited spending and then they Dro my limit as soon as I use that because they thought I wasn't going to pay it back so it is what it is so that's why I stay away from it personally but I know people who have used it and like they they do well with it you know so yeah I've done a couple balance transfers
(2:39:11) myself but yeah like with balance transfers like if ideally it'll be with business credit so if you are planning on carrying a balance so that it doesn't impact your personal credit score or hopefully you have a a higher limit in general so it's not utilizing 30 plus percent of your utilization um so I did it with business cards um or cards in my business name rather and um a lot of them they offer you 0% interest for like six to up to like 12 months you do pay a transfer free of course but you can get very cheap cash for an extended period of
(2:39:47) time not cash but credit yeah fa so on um you were sharing on your CIBC they gave you an offer for a transfer balance correct wait who me Jordan oh Jordan go ahead I believe CIBC did yes yeah so uh you would transfer the balance to CIBC and then um does that affect your credit score having uh something like that sit on CIBC and then you start using your AMX or whatever again so it all depends if it's in your personal name or if it's in your corporation so like with your AMX like say if you have an MX platinum or gold
(2:40:35) card those are charge cards they're revolving accounts so balances on those guys shouldn't impact your credit utilization at all okay um no matter what kind of balance you have if you miss payments you're 100% are going to be impacted but balance shouldn't if like say you have I don't know a $20,000 CBC personal card and that's the only like so you have that card and like say a $10,000 other card you you you transfer 10 grand from your other card to CIBC and you leave that balance on there you're going to be utilizing
(2:41:08) $10,000 out of your total $30,000 available credit or 33 33% if you carry that balance and if you carry more than 30% % like when your statement date happens then you actually start seeing impacts on your personal credit score so if it's personal then you want to ensure your total utilization is less than 30% if it's if it's business you don't care about your business credit whatever yeah okay good but yeah like I have that was when I did a couple transfers I did it in business name I'm not that concerned about business credit
(2:41:51) like it's strong but we also we were well under the 30% utilization we were just able to utilize those funds for an extended period of time and not have to pay any interest on it um is there a way to transfer like your personal credit to like your business credit or you can't do that I'm not sure You' probably have to talk to each individual institution I would probably assume not because they are technically separate entities but certain institutions may be more open to it but I would assume probably not because based on what I told you
(2:42:31) earlier at the beginning of the call I have a Chase a Chase credit card and um I would love for I would love for my credit to transfer to a business I mean doesn't hurt that ask them if there's something that they can do but yeah I mean definitely ask I just I personally probably doubt it yeah that's fair oh I have a good question um in terms of business credit cards I've heard maybe this is in states only but um some of them can get actually give you like travel points or something like that have you heard of
(2:43:09) that Jordan or anyone like what do you mean specifically by travel points like you know how I don't know um like personal credit cards you get like travel like air miles for example right like travel points like you could you redeem them on flight so on and so forth I know in America they have these um especially business credit cards where those expenses count towards points and I was just wondering if in Canada do we have any like options like that where you know because right now my main business card it's a CIBC card um I'm just
(2:43:41) spending money on it and I'm not getting any return you know yeah like the most popular one in Canada would obviously be American Express and you can use those points on travel 100% um most credit cards if they have their own point system most of them are geared towards a travel type program so like RBC Avon or just RBC General points or like um World Elite points or whatever it is um they all have Travel Systems that you can utilize those towards travel and you typically get more value per point when you actually use it for travel versus like
(2:44:16) credit statements or cash back MH um so does um any Canadian Bank have like a cash back system like for credit cards yeah yeah like there there's quite a few credit cards that have cash back um typically like the cash back isn't super high normally the standard that you see on most cards is like 1 to 2% Max um but most institutions have small cash back cards like one of my person personal RBC cards it's like an RBC no limit uh not no limit it's um it's an RBC personal card it has no has no cap on cash back and I think it's it's one
(2:45:00) or two% I think it's 2% on any purchase and then like most of my business RBC cards have 1% back the MX simply cash preferred their standard to uh is 2% and I think in grocery stores is up to 4% and yeah Cole Chillin posted a link in the chat there credit card is there's a lot of you can see a lot of credit cards on that site yeah I think uh just from the point perspective generally speaking there's uh well depending on if you use personal versus business but the personal cash back cards they usually have like a good
(2:45:39) sign up bonus where like the first 2,000 you get extra cash back and then after it goes down but I think generally speaking from what I've seen personally at least is that the non-cash back cards the uh points rewards ones they tend to have a better overall uh value especially if you're into travel or yeah hotels travel um what do you call it rent car rentals all that stuff yeah like if you do balance transfers from like um their their travel partners and you use use points for high-end travel sometimes you can
(2:46:21) get like most most time like standard value per point is like 1 cent but like for some high-end travel you can get sometimes value up like five plus cents per dollar so it can be quite High yeah like I got uh tickets the Your World Cup and Qatar and hotels were crazy expensive when I was looking for it and with my points I got it like pretty much free for hotels so yeah that's with uh bonvoy ax good card yeah and we obviously run very cash heavy businesses yeah you get the bonuses real uh points real fast yeah
(2:47:12) once you start scaling especially like an Amazon business or like a serious reselling business in general you can defin stack up a lot of points and have a lot of nice rewards for sure but sometimes getting the cash back points will go into your account pretty much instantly most of the time cash back some cards will only cash out at the end of the year and if it's in your business cash back would be getting tax correct I think we've talked about this before but points you wouldn't be getting taxed on that money that you're
(2:47:45) using your points towards so I I think it's still like a very gray system so I'm not sure if it's super clear on how reward points are treated when it comes to CRA um my account has always advised me that I can just use them and I don't need to worry about paying taxes on them uh but your mileage may vary uh cash back yeah like if it's submitted as like a a statement credit then that would be like a a statement or a business credit so it'd be like a b a quotequote business expense um you can request for most institutions
(2:48:23) for them to send you a check instead of being posted to your account um as long as you notify them like I think like a month or so before it's posted um but it will be it would be issued in your business name uh you might be able to to cash it somehow and get around that but it might get a little dodgy with the CRA yeah it's a little scary you can try and tell them just to send you cash in an envelope like you can even use your points to invest in your any Financial product that you have like a tfsa RSP Etc def yeah
(2:49:08) that but yeah like most value that you tend to get does end up being with high-end travel like you typically get less value with statement credits with merchandise with Investments Mo typically you get the most value with business class plus Trel uh Cole Chillin did you end up getting that uh other cologne that Scandal one at all I it I think it got sold out I'm it's still uh out of stock yeah it sucks I was really hoping for that one but I did order it so it's supposed to either arrive by the 21st or just again
(2:49:49) how about you I want to ask about that whole cologne thing can you explain that to me so that's extremely gray so again not everybody's cool with it and that's fine it is extremely an extremely gray area but for those that are not familiar let's it under the money maker section there is something called listing errors and so what these are is these are products that are in non returnable categories so so if you look at the productss on Amazon it says that you cannot return this product you can get refunded if there's an issue and so
(2:50:25) that's primarily the health and beauty category and grocery category Amazon will not take those products back so what they are is they are inconsistencies errors in the listings and so like for example the most recent one that Wi-Fi posted was a Dolce and Cabana uh cologne um in the title of the Clone the Clone itself is 200 M but if you look in the product specifications or the product details the weight of the item says it's 635 gram that's not the actual weight that Amazon has on their back end that's for like the referral fees that's
(2:51:03) supposed to be like the actual volume of the product okay because if you look at it on uh Sellar amp you'll see a different weight right and so if you translate 200 milliliters to GRS to I believe 1 milliliter in general equals 1 gram if you're doing it by the volume of water obviously different things of different densities so it's actually it's an inconsistency it's an error and so what you can do if you want and you don't think it's gray or you're okay with it is you can order these products and then you can tell Amazon open up a
(2:51:40) chat with them after you get it and you say I got this product I was expecting it to be 600 milliliters as said in your description it's 200 I want to return it send me a shipping label and they'll say oh let me review it actually you don't need to return it you can keep it and we'll send you a refund that's what it is it's not guaranteed that you'll get a refund 100% uh I've never had issues with it but you certainly could Amazon could always deny you um but yeah it is extremely gray I'm not bitching to customer service saying that you need to
(2:52:16) refund me I'm just saying I want to return it CU it's different and they always just say you can keep it if you attempt to abuse it and do it a ton you're going to get your buyer account probably shut down or they're going to stop refunding you um but you know if you do one two a month in between regular purchases I've always found that it's worked fine and I've got a new cologne every month for a very long time I'm just waiting for the you know the higher Niche ones to go on MH like something Creed or uh off if you have any specific brands
(2:52:54) that you want to look at send them in the chat and we'll take a look at them oh yeah I Tred looking I'll post I'll make a post they aren't cheap cuz I bought them for fries before so it works basil can take the men's one I like that one some guy was washing my hair and I'm like what are you wearing e St Lon so I always remembered that don't you have a boyfriend Melanie I do but I could still smell other people settle down over there I want to get it for him actually you can smell like this other man that I've been dreaming of
(2:53:34) yeah yeah you figured me out yeah so yeah like again it's not something that is for everybody but if you want to utilize it it's certainly there for you if you want to and it does work yeah I was confused by the whole thing I meant to ask you this a while ago but there have been a lot of Colones and perfumes that have been posted recently but you can look back at old posts and there's even like a lot of groceries cereals stuff like that you just need to check that the error is still there if it still exists which Amazon is very
(2:54:08) slow to fix that kind of stuff you can probably still do it right what's up Ron want to ask um when um liquid when donating um inventory how do you go about like um so at the end of the year you can get reimbursed for it get reimbursed for what sorry like um inventory that you got you don't you're not you did not sold you did not sell but so you like donated to a local thrift store anything how would you go about um what was that Danny uh can't answer this I know I know the answer of course yeah so uh essentially if you're
(2:55:03) donating inventory you have to make sure that they're a registered charity with a CRA um and make sure you get a receive for it too because if you don't you can't write it off um I'm pretty sure as well you can only retrieve 30% of the inventory cost so what you paid for it you need to receive for that too um in terms of charitable donations don't take my word for it I'm not a CPA but this is what I know you know okay thank you just get rece yeah make sure they're they're registered with a there's a look up there's a website um look them up make
(2:55:39) sure their charitable organization uh organization number um is legit with a CRA and get a charitable receipt and I believe you can only write off 30% of what you what you give them like but your cost not the fair market value I'm not too sure like I said talk to an accountant they know better okay right thank you yeah you can probably uh ping Carmel in the account section and that probably be something that she could advise about yeah I have a time to to donate but yeah like for us I don't know exactly how it works because I let my
(2:56:24) account all that stuff um we give him a report of everything that's been like disposed of uh either from Amazon and locally and then he applies however it works so yeah we have uh um quite a few new faces in here as well for all you new guys um any thoughts on the server so far you have any questions any any input Anthony Warren Max Frankie Hugo shtf if you guys want to share just been listening man it's a lot of value Max say lot cool lots of stuff going on like wow lots of information it's definitely overwhelming
(2:57:24) at first but uh slowly just trying to look through everything yeah I definitely get that um that's probably like one of the biggest feedbacks that we get is it can be extremely overwhelming but like I also I don't think there's any way to not make it like that without providing as much value as I want to provide right so it's kind of try and like not not try to overwhelm people where they want to leave but like just take it easy and just slowly look through stuff yeah um if I were to have one question I haven't really looked into it
(2:58:00) too closely yet I'm just trying to figure out uh under Amazon which one is the bot that's uh looking for possible leads uh from us Amazon to Canada there's one with the Maple Leaf and then three with stars I'm just confused on the difference between the four of them gotcha so the ones with the maple leaf are Canada Centric the ones with the Stars are us-centric just to differ inate them so the Bots that are there are the the ones that are labeled bots so a2a bot so those are finding the ca a2a bot is finding potential a2a
(2:58:40) Amazon to Amazon opportunities for the Canadian Market the US one is finding them for the US market and then we have have lead channels where we manually actually post leads either for Canada so CA Amazon leads uh leads to buy from the us to bring into Canada so us to ca and then CA to us so to buy in Canada send to the US and then us itself so those those are all manually posted leads in those channels um but the Bots are the a2a ones okay so the the first one CA a TOA that would be if uh I was looking to sell in Canada so those would be
(2:59:25) um in there you'd be buying from the states essentially so the ca a2a stuff would be you're you're buying from Amazon on Canada and then sending back into the same list in in Canada okay okay yes all right that's what I'm confused okay so on those a2a pings you will also see that there's an additional ping underneath each post that shows you the the price or the keep a graph for the opposite Marketplace that's just there to um be a reference in the event that those products are viable for the other Marketplace just to get a quick
(2:59:59) reference because because quite often like we can buy something in Canada send it over the border and it's viable we are actually working on uh Amazon to Amazon Bots that do the the the sourcing cross border for us that's something that we've um we're working in a test server right now it works quite well it's just not in the server yet Anthony says he joined for the free food completely fair I would too okay Co Chillin sent me something and asked if this would be a listing error so we have 3.
(3:00:44) 3 ounce uh what do we got here product details hell yeah that'd be a listen eror that's 96 gr uh well not even the grams just the description look at the description I just wanted to see because it's I think it's giving a different name Creed cuz the green Irish tweet is for a different uh that's the name of a different cologne so then yeah then yeah that that would work to that would work the gram that's a risky though that's 450 that's 460 that's a little risky so yeah like again it's not guaranteed but that would
(3:01:25) definitely be a listing error for sure yeah so wait you you said uh you were actually talking about the weight uh where do you error and the weight so if you look under the product details down down the page it says it's 96 G or yeah 3.3 oun to grams oh no never mind that's that's that's too close never mind yeah it is it is very close yeah never mind but it does say B it does say batteries are required yeah I saw that too but uh because it says here in the product description uh it says green Irish Tweed but if you go down uh from the
(3:02:04) manufacturer the green Irish Tweed bottle is actually black and the aventus is what's shown in the description yeah that would be that would be enough to be a listing error for sure you can say you were expecting the green Irish tweet mention description but you got this product Oh risky though it certainly is I bought I bought expensive clothes but I no definitely is risky for sure but yeah let me know if you guys try it I I'll post I'll post a general chat I guess uh definitely certainly can for sure Drew and Vin you just joined us
(3:02:45) how's it going we're kind of like at the the tail end of the session we're just having a chat and whatnot now so how's it going you two if you're here maybe maybe not hey Jordan I got a question for you what's up what's your um what's your cut off in terms of like uh interest rates on loans that you take on business I don't have a specific cut off it all depends on what we need and where we're at at the time I've actually never taken a traditional loan for a business ever I've utilized credit heavy I've utilized lines of credit I've utiliz uh
(3:03:26) supplier terms uh I've applied for loans in the past quite a while ago but they didn't give me as much as I wanted so I've never I've never explored it further but you can realistically um reverse engineer your own numbers you can figure out how much your average return is your expected profit it you can see how long it takes you on average to turn over your inventory there's a stat in your account that you can actually see that and then you can compare that with the interest on a loan versus what you would pay
(3:04:00) right and so if your potential return is going to greatly outweigh the interest that you're going to pay in assuming that you're financially responsible and you're in tune with your Amazon account it almost can always make sense to utilize if all those other factors are true and quite often like most people you can probably turn over your inventory probably at minimum six times per year ideally you can get like up to like 10 to 12 right and so if you're averaging like say 15% net or 20% net you can add that up compared to the even credit card
(3:04:36) interest and you can see how much more you can earn versus the interest that you're paying thanks that was pretty uh pretty Common Sense type of response but I guess most out of common sense when you think about it yeah and we've done like a similar experiment um a thought thought experiment I guess in these calls a couple times before that shows like how you can compound your money right so like we've done it a couple times where like you can see like you can start with like say $10,000 and assuming you keep all that
(3:05:13) money in the business and you have a consistent return and you have a consistent inventory turnaround I again a lot of things have to be very perfect and true to make it consistent but if you turn that inventory uh like say six times per year that $10,000 I don't remember exactly what the number was but it turns into like I want to say 30 or $40,000 by the end of the first year and it turns into like $100,000 by the end of the second year and turns into like over a million dollars after like the third year it just shows the the the power of
(3:05:44) compounding your money right okay I um I know it might be a little bit different for for for somebody that's that your scale but what are like some of the uh the important like uh metrics or kpis that a new seller or smaller seller should be like taking a look at or have an eye their eye on on like a day-to-day basis so like are we talking for like product metric wise are we talking about like product Source efficiency wise what what exactly just overall in the uh for like an Amazon OA seller like a little bit of a higher
(3:06:24) level than than those two that you mentioned I think some of the most important things that you want to ensure that you're looking at that you want to track diligently is that you are profitable on your products uh and that you're selling through enough inventory as well so that's a session that we have scheduled for next week for inventory management I think that's probably like one of the like kind of like when sellers get like a little bit outside beginner into like intermediate I think that's one of the things that a lot of sellers fail to
(3:06:51) do is do proper Inventory management and they're stalking too much inventory or they're not stocking enough okay um I've talked to quite a few people that just send in like six months worth of inventory and they're like it here you go I think that's a super bad waste of potential cash flow and it's going to stunt your growth massively and on the flip end if you're not stocking enough you're going to be consistently stocking out and you're going to be missing out on potential sales so your stock counts your inventory turn rate are important
(3:07:20) and profitability those would be the things that I would recommend that once you kind of like are outside of like beginner to start starting to grow that's probably like the main things I would recommend focusing on but we have a um a session next week scheduled to talk about specifically Inventory management awesome thank you thank you definitely are you referring to people who say the product sells 30 times a month and 180 yeah or Le and like it's just some of the stuff I see is just ridiculous I don't I don't
(3:08:10) understand how someone could spend that much money on a product that hardly moves it's either they don't understand understand the concept of maximizing cash flow or they're wanting to be extremely hands-off and they're just not concerned about it in my opinion it's a very unnecessary risk doing that because as much as this business is relatively risk adverse if you make good purchasing decisions um our businesses are fairly liquid um if you are ex stocking extended amounts of inventory you are taking on unnecessary risk because the
(3:08:47) market markets can and do change quite quite consistently and they can quite substantially that's why it's finding like a good balance between doing it efficiently where you're not having to go crazy and bu buy the same product every single day versus being relatively risk conscious and risk adverse to adjust with the market yeah there there's a fine line right because not only are you looking at the number of times it sells a month approximately right because not all this data is correct but how many sellers are there
(3:09:23) if there's 15 sellers on a listing and it only sells 15 times a month like what are you doing right but like I don't know I know like that sounds like it's super common sense but I don't think it is and I think like a lot of sellers may not realize these types of things right that's why I think it's very important to have these conversations yeah for sure yeah Anthony said like I can admit that I probably don't buy enough right of some products right so I'm scrambling right like what you you anticipate you anticipate the sale due to the numbers
(3:10:05) and then it it just sells out that happened to one of my products this week and I'm like okay well okay I guess we buy some more well and that's kind of the reality with selling on Amazon too is when we're sending in New new SKS that we don't have our own data for we are doing 100% speculation and sometimes it takes us three to six months to get a set a steady stock into Amazon for an item that's going to sell consistently that's kind of just how it is but we want to use as much good data as we have to make as good purchasing
(3:10:38) decisions as we can so yeah Anthony said so stock and seller board are not it and you pay a lot of money for a great inventory forecasting soft for properly I agree there's nothing out there that is optimized specifically for OA and wholesale uh a lot of tools out there do not work that great the one that I have found works the best for my personal workflow is so stocked but it's still far from perfect still excludes a lot of and in my opinion it's extremely overpriced for what it is I've heard that people like Amazon
(3:11:15) lit are working on an inventory software to solve those uh those issues but if and when they're ever going to release it and how much it's going to cost I have no idea but yeah so with the session next week we're going to be discussing in-depth Inventory management I am going to I should have demo accounts for both seller board and so stock to show how I would personally utilize them because that's kind of the tools that we have available um and then just kind of our my personal methodology for inventory management you could also argue that you
(3:11:57) could just use Amazon's inventory system and it could be almost as effective and utilizing that between that in Google spreadsheets can definitely be just pretty close to as effective I just like that um in my opinion something like so stock or cbard can save quite a bit of time for looking into previous sales data yeah and mentioned how developer can be a great investment too 100% those projects to get developed properly can just be very expensive we do we do have quite a good handful of very capable ones in the server it's just stuff like
(3:12:36) that can be very labor intensive yeah speaking of softwares does anyone know if there's any good um crosslifting oh oh my goodness I can't speak English cross listing softwares in Canada cuz I have so many different sales channels but it's so inefficient to list it across each and every one like manually the only ones I really know of are I don't even know if they work in Canada and they're typically only like maybe eBay and maybe Amazon would be like Joe lisst yeah those that I'm pretty sure that one is American like I I've tried a
(3:13:10) few out but they're all American American American American there's nothing really in Canada so hey any software guys you know hit me up I've been trying to convince a couple of them in here to quit their job and work with me fulltime but it hasn't happened yet Jordan you gota you gota pay them man I said work not work for me work with me we're gonna build something amazing but ah you see you're just like one of those uh business majors in college who are like hey I got the idea you could be the software developer you know we we
(3:13:45) I'll give you 5% of the company oh no no no you're going to build it with me I have the idea I have the vision I know exactly where we need to go and what we need to do it I just can't develop the code myself exactly exactly I'm the same way man but yeah I have if honestly if anyone can build a good cross Lister um that can support multiple platforms uh hit me up I'm pretty like I I have a little bit of coding experience I'm pretty sure you just have to use this um platform's API and just plug it in and but I don't have
(3:14:15) time for it so if anyone can make one for a a decent price I'll I'll definitely buy it yeah it's all it's all about uh having a good program for a reasonable price and that's tough de Dev developing good quality software is very expensive honestly yes but at the same time like this whole all softwares right now uh realistically they're subscription based um there's some that have that like one time fee but it's like 10 like it's like two years of that subscription right so they do sell some lifetime subscriptions but um yeah hey
(3:14:54) subscription business model is where it's at man those guys make crazy money when they have a good product yep yeah like um we have some developers in here for like our restock monitors and whatnot that's their whole thing that's what they do I talked to one of them about doing the like a Kajiji scraper which we discussed kind of in the server not enough people show there's not enough people short interest so kind of scrapped it and like Kijiji is like a super basic platform like it's very very simple very simplistic um but
(3:15:26) to have something like that developed by somebody that's experienced guaranteed up guaranteed up time um initial fee like it's not it's not that expensive but like for what it is it kind of is it would be um I think it was like 700 bucks up front like $200 a month us there's actually there's a software out there that scrapes um they might have they might have added Kajiji now I'm not too sure but they scraped Facebook Marketplace it's called swoa I'll send in general if anyone's interested um I'm pretty sure I know for
(3:15:58) fak is scripts Facebook Marketplace I'm not sure about Kajiji it might they might have added it so I sell on Best Buy and um I used to sell like used phones so on so forth but the margins on it didn't really make sense CU I had better opportunity in Amazon like with liquidation either way better opportunity cost and uh a lot of people I know they use this application to scrape like for example if iPhone 11 goes for a good price on Facebook they hit up the buyer immediately and go pick it up you know so could be interesting well yeah and
(3:16:29) that's another tool that I would like if we had enough interest but we didn't have enough people that express interest I would personally utilize that all the time 100% but yeah for example yeah send send me that info because uh I know when I talk to our developer about Facebook that would have costed even more because Facebook is really proxy protection and they they consistently clip accounts yeah I dropped it in general um if anyone want sees my referral link you know hit me up but yeah I I heard really good things about it so this could
(3:16:59) definitely be an option for you guys I will certainly take a look have you utilized it yourself at all uh me personally I had the Trav version but I was very busy during that time with uh just life in general so I I couldn't really utilize it but what I heard from other people that have bro is getting that referral money on stuff he hasn't used no no but I I heard from other people for sure no I haven't I can't say from personal experience but the topic came up you know referral M refer money you know what I'm saying
(3:17:35) Fair yeah um what's it called oh my goodness something slipped out my head but yeah for just a quick tip for those of you guys that are just starting Amazon um definitely look at Facebook Marketplace as a good sourcing tool like I still use it to this day granted not that much because I have like better connections with my suppliers but um you could find a lot of good stuff on there let's put it that way so like you're talking about to like sell used or like yourp yeah on Amazon man I'm telling you DVDs Blu-rays video
(3:18:10) games you can make Bank on those yeah that's kind of like where I started I started with books and got the video gam is quite heavy and video games can be extremely profitable for sure oh yeah video games like that's still low-key one of my bread and butters like I make so much money off video games um also because I developed a relationship with one my liquidation suppliers where they sell me any CD for essentially five bucks other than like high-end stuff like PS5 stuff so on so forth but I'm telling you man like i' I've I've told
(3:18:39) Jordan about this and I think a few others I bought like some rare Avatar brand new sealed DVD for like five bucks I flipped it for 400 on Amazon it was crazy but yeah you know that's that's what I mean if you have good relationship with some suppliers they can get you that stuff you know so another good kind of gem out there yeah so Joe said I'm assuming that he directed the question to you how many listings are you making a day to want to automate it uh let me check really quickly that's actually a really good question sorry
(3:19:12) I'm just bouncing around from chat to chat right now uh oh yeah like another good thing about the server like guys network with each other because um right now I met someone who's actually my age and he's doing pretty well I won't I won't say the name or anything but you know um you're definitely going to meet people that are interesting for sure okay um where's the chat there we go okay have you tried oh how many listings you're making a day and you want to automate it okay well right now I'm working on a side project um
(3:19:43) essentially I am selling stuff on commission for other people and I'm building my own site around it uh Shopify so on so forth so listings a day uh in the future it'll probably be hundreds or a couple hundred because I'm working on so like I have I have a vision I don't want to say it because um you know I don't want to don't want someone to taking over but it could be it could be huge in the future like probably a couple hundred a day in the future right now my people are listing I would say like 20 to 30 products a day so that's that's why I
(3:20:15) kind of want to automate it now you know but yeah definitely definitely thank you for asking uh but Joe about your question about for networking online um I just my personal thing is just being involved in the space that you're in the communities that you're in and just talking to the people that are around so the best connections that I've personally made are just finding people in here in Facebook groups whatever and just talking to them and I've made some very very good connections doing that yeah and uh there was another
(3:20:51) question in the chat as well um like would eBay be better for some stuff yeah kind of um like I think for me personally what I've seen Ed items go well on eBay um as well as some Collectibles like high highend I'm talking thousands of thousands of dollars most of the time my go-to is Amazon um just because like Amazon's so powerful you could literally sell stuff for retail and you're not even a retailer and they cover fulfillment they cover customer service you don't have to deal with any of that crap I don't know
(3:21:20) if anyone here has ever sold on Facebook Marketplace and ship something it is a pain in the ass to deal with like like Facebook Marketplace is lowest of lowest right so um yeah my my system essentially I have uh Amazon's number one Best Buy's number two Walmart's number three uh and then eBay number four and Facebook number five in terms of buyer quality like you know so that's what I've seen personally other people might agree disagree but it all depends with a lot of like I know I can speak on video games specifically when I
(3:21:56) was um selling video games on Amazon this is like uh pre-co too so pre before the prices popped off um a lot of things on Amazon sold for premium used compared to eBay and that just seems to be generally how the market works just like with regular like retail or online Arbitrage you wonder why products are selling for more on Amazon ver they are why they are in the store it's because it's Amazon yeah Jordan uh there's a question I just pinged you for it's a really good question actually have you had problems with
(3:22:27) invoices if you buy you stuff on Facebook so it's possible so it's it's less likely you're going to get asked for invoices for used products but it is certainly possible um if and when you do ever get asked for invoices you like say if there's authenticity issues or if Amazon just requests invoices for like reimbursements you can't really do a whole lot you can try and submit manual invoices and like we do have a purchase agreement in our resources the purchase agreement is more so you can have a record of the purchase but to cover your
(3:23:02) ass and event something stolen so Pur agreement is there just it's just if you're buying a something that is known to be hot stolen or a a good value um I would recommend using that if you're buying new stuff just to cover your ass to indicate that you were actually attempting to ensure that procs were not stolen so you don't go to jail oh man but yeah like I when I was buying and selling video games I'd go into people's houses there was one guy where like he definitely when he opened his door I was buying I think a Playstation
(3:23:45) three or four off of him him definitely seem like super methed out but I'm like I'm already here it's across the city and he's like okay it's in the basement so I'm like I'm like okay so like you go first I'm G to follow behind you because like I don't know what the you're GNA do and then just because like I am I'm comfortable with people I was fine but definitely seems super sketchy basement disgusting but I could definitely see like if somebody was like intimidated or like a like a woman that like he may try to take advantage of
(3:24:11) that could definitely be a bad situation so just do things in public yeah for sure I agree I agree with Jord on that uh Facebook Marketplace can get sketchy for sure but if you're starting out it's a good it's a good source yeah just do things in public make sure you see the item before you give them the cash don't go inside people's houses like I did yeah Jordan Jordan's a crazy guy I used to inspect Farms when I did insurance I went out to farms in the middle of nowhere I'm fine I never got killed and put in like a barrel
(3:24:47) somewhere so oh my God no just imagine some crazy farmer tells you to prove their claim and Shez that'll be crazy yeah like a Richard Pon or something yeah exactly yeah uh someone uh said in the chat I'm looking right now um like they they said they're learning a lot which which is good um Jordan is a danger yeah pretty much um yeah like Amazon there's so many different business as small as you could do with it that's why I tell people it's so powerful um you don't even have to stick to one you could do multiple like there's wholesale OA uh ra
(3:25:26) you could do you could do a mix of all and as long as you have like my my biggest recommendation if you're starting out make sure you keep all your records intact right all your invoices all your um you know any supplier agreements because sometimes you run into problems with Amazon but um it's still very powerful in my eyes like I think people people made livings off Amazon and they got rich off it and um yeah you know just do what you got to do to make some money biggest thing is just being consistent showing up doing the work
(3:25:57) consistently oh yeah if you're new like things seem extremely slow when you first start they take they can take a long time to get going but eventually things tend to snowball whether whether it's in your sales or how how efficiently you're able to Source or whatever it is they they snowball and when they start snowballing with Amazon they can snowball very quickly oh yeah 100% like man I still remember the feeling of that first sale I've ever had it was like crack man it was crazy I remember the first thing I sent
(3:26:31) in was a uh I sent it in as used but it was a sealed DVD that I just had sitting around my house I sent it I sent it in with um I think some books and so it sold like the first day it got into Amazon like and it sold it was it shouldn't have sold for like more than a couple dollars it's so like 30 bucks I was like what the hell yeah I know same same for me I was it was a DVD it was a video game I remember and it sold for like 40 bucks I was like money you know it was it was nice um but yeah that was that was a good
(3:27:02) feeling Anthony yes I am familiar with brand exclusive um not I wouldn't say I'm the most experienced but I have had some brand exclusive deals I am okay experienced with that so what you want to know uh ma Mac said how often do you do these sourcing calls um we like this specific format where we do like uh live sourcing I think this is the first live sourcing thing that we've done in the server but we do have regular calls so right now like Amazon specific calls once to three four times per month ideally eventually we'll have like say
(3:27:44) an Amazon specific call like once a week but it might just take a while to get there and depends on schedules yeah yeah and uh the thing is like try a good little tip I have try to come in as many calls as you can because there's two reasons one it shows where you're interested in it and two like you learn I've been doing Amazon for for a little bit of time now um do numbers but I still learn I learn stuff from today you know so um definitely a ton of value in them yeah it's an opportunity to pick up things that you may not know to have
(3:28:19) these conversations to network with people whatever um you want to do and like we have calls around different things as well so like we have a monthly call for Ticket ticket selling with chokey who's been a ticket broker for more than 20 years and we do other calls as well so if it's ever interest to you then definitely always come out and you'll probably learn something good and yeah like you'll you'll find in the server we have a lot of different staff members providers Etc everybody that is providing information I try and find as
(3:28:57) good of people as possibly can that are extremely experienced so like the guy uh Soul Source who posts everything about sneakers you can ask him anything that you want about sneakers and he will answer it no problem same with chokey with tickets sometimes they're busy and they don't answer right away but they're people that can provide a ton of support like our sports braing section chip is very into sports bet in so I try ensure that we have the most qualified people in here as we possibly can yeah yeah and uh i' I've seen this
(3:29:26) too with the community if you ever have any questions um people that don't even have an obligation to answer they just answer out of a Goodwill right like everyone helps each other out it's a good Community uh nothing really to complain about it's good to hear Danny I appreciate it yeah that referral money you all I'm joking I'm joking it's all good now people that are in here that are even on a free trial and have no expectation that they're going to get a membership you're going to get just as good of information here
(3:29:58) as everybody else so yeah pretty fair yeah anyone want to share something interesting going on in around them with their business I don't know what's up Evan yeah so I just wondered if if at some point we could do um a uh on the server specifically on repricing so a while ago um I had mentioned to you that I was selling some health and beauty products and other consumables but um and I started with about $1,000 as my Capital uh but the payouts were pretty meager um between like the between the shipping costs and other fees that I had
(3:30:43) to pay I was maybe getting like $10 $15 payouts it was pretty terrible and I know you had mentioned at the time that um it might be because of the um I didn't have a repricing strategy so I just wondered if we could do um a call specifically in the future on repricing specifically strategies that might be the most suitable for um newer sellers yeah 100% we can I will write this down and ensure that we put this on the list here yeah that's that's a good idea yeah yeah there's one guy I'm following on Instagram his name is Dylan S H he's
(3:31:23) I think he's like 18 years old he has than like 10 million sales he he most mostly do all sales but uh he said like repricing is like the one of them key things as an Amazon sellers to uh to do to uh to sorry I'm French I have some French comes up in my head when I talk about yeah it's uh there's not I'm trying to find as much things on internet but you know there's so many thing that we can automate but I didn't took the time yet to um to understand yeah and and analyze all of repricing strategies yeah and like repricing is
(3:32:10) extremely important because if you're not price competitive almost always you're going to lack sales like you can definitely get buy box at substantially higher prices and the lowest FBA price but not often and it's very important to be price competitive and to have a repricer once you're at a certain point I would say even relatively early in order to obtain those sales um but yeah like I'm familiar with Sawyer I I haven't talked to him myself but I've seen what he's done and he seems very knowledgeable and a very good
(3:32:43) kid at what point do you think you should get a repricer Jordan I would personally argue that that's not argue I would say pretty early I would say like besides having keepa that's probably one of the most important things that you should and could have even like a a cheaper one like say like a basic be cool plan is better than having nothing um but for most people I would say if you are spending any actual substantial time repricing your inventory yourself or you're repricing your inventory multiple times per day uh even if it's
(3:33:25) only a few SKS it can probably be worth a type of repricer even if just like a handful of SKS because all that time that you're not looking at your products and they're not price competitive you're losing potential sales I'm scared I'm not going to use it right that's my problem I told you that before I'm scared I'm not going to set it up right and it's going to go Ary so it does what you want it to do though so like if you just like set aside say when you're just first getting started just to be certain maybe two
(3:33:57) hours depending on how much inventory you have just to go through your settings and ensure that it's set up properly but like you basically on almost all repricers you have minimums and maximums that you set and then the rules that you have asum you're not using like an AI repricer it plays within the rules that you set for it so as long as you don't have your your minimum price set below where you don't want to be it's almost impossible that it's going to go outside of what you want it to do most things that would
(3:34:31) happen would be it doesn't do what you want it to do like it just doesn't reprice effectively and you just don't make those sales it's unless you completely up it's very rare that you're going to sell something for less than what you wanted it wanted to uh my dad uh I think most people know that my dad sells on Amazon he's like in his mid late 60s he started selling on Amazon about like six months after I did it because he thought it was cool um I say this for the lack of better words uh sorry if it's offensive but I say this because it's
(3:35:05) true and it really uh brings home the point when it comes to technology my dad is basically uh he doesn't know how to use a computer hardly and it's Tak him an extremely long time he can't Source he basically gets prodcts directly off our leads list but he used to do books and video game just like I did uh he does extremely well like he sells like 50 $60,000 a month something around there and he hardly knows how to use a computer just extremely consistent um but when he sold video games he had like a special edition Nintendo DS one
(3:35:38) of them is uh it was supposed to sell for like 260 bucks or something like that used he accidentally priced it for $26 cuz he was manually pricing on his phone when he was at work and it sold for 26 bucks so he up manually but that's the only time that's ever happened to him yeah can I can I just chip in real quick of course yes yeah um get a good repricer uh I up in a way that I'm using right I'm still using it because I'm I'm cheap uh I got a cheaper pricer called reprice it Jordan doesn't have many good things to say about it we
(3:36:14) talked about it and um yeah I subscrib to their yearly plan I'm just waiting for it to run out and you have to be careful with your repriser too because what Amazon likes to do sometimes they like to get on the listing and nuke the price like I I don't get why Amazon does it I think it's just to remain competitive in the marketplace you know offer their customers some better pricing but if your repricer follows that oh you're going to lose money and it's not fun so um definitely be careful with that too get a good repricer it'll
(3:36:42) it'll save you a ton of money down the line so what like be cool that the best one out there I think that's industry standard uh just confirm with Jordan because he he uses it I haven't used it yet so people argue that things like seller snap or AA or whatever are better I've tried some um if you want to be more hands-off I think seller snap can be a better choice but it is very expensive for somebody that's new if you are new I don't think it's necessary but a repriser like be cool is very affordable and it can definitely get you
(3:37:19) started and it's certainly certainly effective and for mostly and how much is the the one that be cool the base plan for be cool I think is like 20 $25 us per month yeah it works out to about $35 Canadian so like B cool does have ai repricing and we've had good conversations about that and I've talked to people a whole lot smarter than me about AI I've personally tried it and again I think AI I think it's more so fancy marketing if it was AI it would actively learn new strategies and Implement them but from people that are extremely
(3:38:06) smarter than me what they have said is that in their comparison all the quote unquote Ai No matter if it's be cool seller snap or whatever it's all actionary it's not optimizing your pricing based on actual machine learning which is what AI is so it's fancy marketing but it can take out a lot of the manual work if you want to do quote unquote AI stuff but it costs more um you can accomplish basically almost the same thing if not basically r on par doing rule base which is cheaper you just have to be more Hands-On and really
(3:38:42) go in depth with your rules if you want to accomplish the exact same thing I'm scared I've been selling on Amazon for like just six month and after two month for me I really had to uh get a represser because I had it just always every day uh Mally uh changing the the the price and uh yeah I've started with just the 25 US dollars per month I think flip four miles and Fields of profit they have like some um and also so AC flips on YouTube you got some tutorials you just need to set like two uh condition uh repricer one for matching
(3:39:24) the buy box and the other one when there's U no more buy box so it just match at the lowest price and just that h i mean it Sav you like tons of time you can like not look at your prices for like two three or four days and you're still going to be able to make a lot of sales and after that start uh now paying 100 uh dollars US a month so I I got 100 uh acents with the AI repressing and it really does work and most of the time people use the AI wind equalizer when you want to just think just a little bit and you do get a little bit more sales
(3:40:03) and all the other one I mostly just put it at a match boost profit and uh I mean it really does work and a few of them um with the other uh also uh just one just another thing when you cannot like win the buy Bock when there's like a reseller that has too much stars rating and he really dominates the buy Bock when you put the AI win sales maximizer you will uh within like 24hour or 48 hour you will w win the buy box it will thank the price but you will be able to get rid of all your units that you cannot sell without a repricer so I mean
(3:40:42) it really uh for me like last month I sold like $114,000 of all my cost of good and I had like $15,000 of cost of good so the 100 US dollars per month for me is really uh is really good worth it yeah worth it yeah thanks yeah Jordan see this is how you need to sell man referral money right there when have I ever been Jord you have link refer money no that's good though yeah I link I have things for that but I mean if you want to use it cool if not I don't really care I'm not like yeah send it I'll use it I'm repacing as we speak
(3:41:25) people I'm repacing as we speak fair enough no you'll find that I obviously I build businesses and stuff but I very rarely do things for the bag no I joke I joke uh no but if you have a link send it over yeah you to remind me when we're done yeah for sure for uh B the AI repricing like can can someone fill me more fill me into this because you guys you guys are selling me on this man I'm I'm really considering getting it now because I have so much stale inventory at Amazon that I need to get rid of so I would probably be the Devil's
(3:42:04) Advocate and tell you I wouldn't say it's not worth it but I would say it's worth it if you want to be more hands off because again I've compared I've compared it myself for me but I have extremely in-depth l rules it didn't make any difference for me for people that for people that just have standard rules and that don't go in depth with their repricer it will probably make a a substantial difference I see yeah uh Joe asked if he's um if I'm part of any masterminds or groups uh no I did Join one quote unquote Mastermind like a
(3:42:39) long long time ago and in my opinion it was a waste of time um um I have very high standards for things if somebody like wants to charge somebody money um so and I think that most people just fail to meet those expectations so that's why I just start to myself the one that I was in a guy he was apparently a a good seller and was going to provide all those groups support and whatever and then all a sudden he just disappears and still charging people money and then I got kicked out of the group because I called
(3:43:20) called them out on it so yeah damn yeah that's crazy in my opinion that's how most most most of those groups and things work so yeah you got to be careful of them too like uh courses as well yeah it's there's definitely stuff out there that will certainly help and that's valuable but it's just very hard to find yeah that's fair that's fair you don't need to feed my ego Joe yeah he is feeding your ego but he's not wrong you know yeah no no okay here's here's an interesting question all right for Jordan specifically or for anyone matter case a
(3:44:15) matter of that fact um so Jordan can you run us through like how you initially started reselling like going through like your initial stages of uh like from when when you initially began to your level now like what did you do you know uh give us a documentary on your selling Journey um well when I started I was in the insurance business I didn't I wouldn't say like I specifically didn't enjoy my job but like it just wasn't interesting to me anymore um um so when I was on a station I came across reezy resells on
(3:44:50) YouTube who talked about selling books on Amazon which I had no idea you could sell um products that weren't yours on Amazon especially used products so I started I just want to the thrift store I was like yeah I'm going to try this this looks cool as so then I tried that made a ton of mistakes because it was definitely not geared towards the Canadian Marketplace and then just slowly kept going with that um as I was expanding the book operation I started getting into selling some video games systems because I seen that those
(3:45:23) were very profitable uh found a few things like ra that I could sell so slowly started selling some of that stuff I was expanding like the book operation at the same time so like I eventually expanded to where I had routes that I would take every single week had a lot of Honey pots for thrift stores but then I was also doing like free Book pickup so i' have ads on Facebook where people could send me messages with what they had and I'd go pick up their books um it was free inventory for me and that helped me build my inventory or my cash flow
(3:45:54) substantially so just out curiosity right these books like um books are heavy items to ship like how did you you do mfn or FBA and like how would you know that's like a book you should go for because there's so many different titles out there well books are so cheap so it's scanning through basically all of them so like it depends on what you're doing so you're going to through a thrift store you're actually paying per book I would have a a phone case on my phone with velcro on the back with a Bluetooth scanner attached to it and we
(3:46:24) would scan through a uh an app called scoutly and that just populates and it tells you right away what your sales rank is what your expected profit is all the lowest used prices FBA prices Etc and so basically you just had a parameter that if it's under X sales rank and it made you X dollars you'd buy it okay and books were so cheap and the profit margins were so high and we didn't have um as many like low inventory fees and like that before so you as long as it made sense it didn't matter if it stuck around on the
(3:46:54) warehouse for multiple months because you make good profit on it especially textbooks so a lot of textbooks you could buy for a couple dollars and you can end up selling might take you until textbook season to sell it but you could profit like 100 plus dollars that's a massive return um so I started doing free Book pickup so when I pick up people's books basically anything that had an indication that would sell and be profitable I sent in everything else went to a recycler because it was just free inventory and then yeah I slowly started
(3:47:23) building out like a ra a little bit and then I got into wholesale actually relatively early because uh my family used to be in a salon business and I figured that a a massive supplier that we utilized when we were in there because I was slightly a part of that business I figured that they would probably be profitable so I contacted a sales rep open an account an account I had no business opening because it was only for journeyman hair stylists and I was certainly not a journeyman hair stylist but I opened it anyway so I got
(3:47:54) into wholesale and yeah just kept growing from there so like books and video games definitely made most of my starting seed Capital very slow but it helped me grow from like a $1,000 starting to actually building a substantial mental Capital to start investing in places like whale and Arbitrage if I didn't start with those I may I couldn't I can't say for sure but I think I may have gotten discouraged because my money would not have been growing as quickly um I ended up having some deals with some thrift stores where I would go
(3:48:32) and pick up their books by the pound and just pay them like 10 cents a pound um and then yeah just slowly started growing things from there and got more and more heavy into wholesale started open up more suppli fers I hired my sister before I hired a virtual assistant and she helped um start looking for new accounts for me uh so she would just basically look at Google look for wholesale suppliers and do some initial contact for them and help me open the accounts she would do the initial contact I would take it from
(3:49:04) there and then I ended up hiring a virtual assistant when I was still working she started with the same thing and yeah just kind of slowly built over out of that interesting interesting stuff sound like Instagram Guru you I was about to say man who's gonna buy his course no I'm not he started From The Trenches and now he made it I'm not selling a course off no I joke I joke yeah but it's very interesting too um if you find like a market that's kind of um kind of Niche like who who would who would have expected that uh you know selling books
(3:49:42) on Amazon would make would make good good amount of money I won't say like crazy but good amount of money right uh video games is kind is more common but books I I've never heard of like I heard of people buying books to sell on eBay but not on Amazon because of the shipping right so it's uh interesting I know one guy um I think he does like he does it locally he does Furniture right but interesting stuff well my Peak for books books alone I was probably profiting like for books profit after all expenses I wasn't too
(3:50:17) in tune with my books that early on but I want to say like Peak I was probably profiting like between like $500 to $3,000 per month off of books alone but it took a very long time to get there very very long time true because you need a lot of inventory exactly right um but some people have business models like that like for video games too um you need a lot of inventory for a lot of them uh some some sell quick but a lot of them sit so I can kind of relate that too yeah like a lot of video games would sell for quite a hefty premium and like
(3:50:51) there was instances where I'd go buy like somebody's like whole collection and I'd spent like $100 and I was able to resell that for like $800 per profit and a lot of like if they were like in demand stuff like Mario games and stuff like that you could sell them so quick it's true yeah but yeah like those are those are definitely things that helped me build my Capital ex like very grow my capital A Lot versus like now average Capital Growth dollar returned is like 15 20ish percent right whereas then it was like
(3:51:26) multiple hundreds percent just just a lot slower turnover yeah Evan Evan just dropped in the chat that he just paid a buck for a book and sold it for 50 right like so crazy margins on those 100% yeah wow one of the best books that I got was a a pet textbook I paid I think it was like $2 and I want to say I sold it on Amazon for like around 200 I believe Jesus crazy yeah Jordan I just spend a book the other day at my local library sale it was a specialty book about 20 bucks and uh I looked up the the uh solds on eBay CU it's a rare book
(3:52:07) um and uh it's selling on average for about 225 bucks very nice maybe I need again to use books business this is crazy man honestly if I had the capital I would probably have a bulk book operation but uh obviously I'm not at that point cuz uh but you you start to develop an eye for things too when you do all the scanning if you pay attention so um when you go into the the library sales or wherever else where usually people go into thrift stores but I find nowadays because thrift stores like Goodwill and and other chain stores
(3:52:43) know what they have they tend to price accordingly and so unless you go in on sale days you're not really going to get um a great a great price on the book so I look at library sales but when you get enough experience you can just kind of home in on certain sections and just leave the rest so you said you you're looking into a bulk book operation like fill us in How would how would that look I'm interested no no no I'm not looking into it I'm saying if I had the capital I would I would I would focus in on that
(3:53:11) because just just simply because the profits with books are in are incredible but uh I mean and as Jordan has said that you have to scan through a lot of books just to find one that's profitable so depending on the venue for me it's be I could scan 20 books and maybe find one that's profitable so you have to scan an awful lot of inventory and when I say profitable it's maybe depending on the book it' be two three $3 depending on the metric but sometimes you get lucky and you find something like a um a Harley-Davidson man manual um that you
(3:53:45) would think would maybe be worth 20 bucks but it's selling for like $100 on Amazon even used interesting yeah uh I'm pretty sure I might have seen this on the internet somewhere but there're like uh pallets of books like Gaylords filled with books um you could look into those too could be interesting yeah they're really hard to find here in Canada um and a lot of the the the few suppliers that have them they tend to sell the the Duds they don't tend to sell uh the profitable ones they so they cherry pick them
(3:54:18) themselves and then they sell the Deads yeah that's that's the issue with liquidation you gotta be very careful that that's why I personally I like 90% of my business liquidation by stick away from Palace I only buy stuff uh from people who buy pallets were like reselling it for uh reselling it straight to me right so makes sense well and the and the other thing is too for pallets like I don't have the I don't have a warehouse or anything to be able to to house that I'm just operating it at my house right do you have a garage
(3:54:46) so uh no not well it yeah but it's just I do but it's just large enough for car because it's a condo right it's just a postage St garage yeah so um it wouldn't be have it wouldn't be anything great in size I'm still very much a small seller and quite frankly as far as res reselling is concerned I don't have any aspirations of becoming a multi-millionaire I could care less about that um I would my goal is just to make to earn enough money so that I could leave my 9 to 5 and just be comfortable so and I don't need to have
(3:55:18) a huge amount of capital or a large operation for that yeah fair enough fair enough that's fair um like some something I've seen uh recently on Facebook people are actually renting out the garages or um look into a storage unit for example like once you get to that level right like uh for me personally I currently I first started in my room as well same thing and then I went to a basement and then I went to a garage and I'm looking for to like um share space in a like a industrial commercial unit like a warehouse itself so um it's
(3:55:52) baby steps but you can get there for sure yeah storage unit I was looking into too the problem is kind of where I live right because I'm in a rural area so it takes me the closest storage unit would probably be a 45 minute drive oh wow Evan do you have any Goodwills around you cuz when I started I went to Goodwill and found lot yeah I I do have um several Goodwills around me I've been to everyone in almost every one of them in the nigar region Which is closest to the to the county that I live in and they're I think Goodwill knows what they have so
(3:56:33) there's not a lot of profitable books there anymore and and their books unless you get them on sales days are are just way too expensive yeah that's what I was going to suggest because I still get emails when they have 50% off days and sometimes those were really profitable but if you've already yeah I get the I I get those emails too but the problem is they're all the sales are always on days when I'm working so I can't go oh no so when I was uh selling books at a local Value Village which I believe is same I think Goodwill owns them or
(3:57:06) Savers maybe different um but Valley Village their books are very overpriced textbooks I think on average it was like around $5 a piece which is kind of expensive for textbooks but uh one of them was a a Honeypot every time I went there found a stack textbooks and most of them sold for like 6080 $100 plus library sales have been the best for me honestly hands down because the the the the volun the usually those sales are organized by the friends of the library who are you know Association or groups of volunteers who um raise
(3:57:40) money for the libraries or library system and uh they either sometimes they don't know what they have um as is evidenced by a couple of books I picked up a few weeks ago they were both first editions and they're worth they're worth hundreds of dollars a piece um or they do know what they have but because their their goal is turning over their inventory and and not gouging the the community but offering them a service in the form of cheap books they they sell them maybe for a dollar $2 and you have your odd specialty books that's like $10
(3:58:11) $15 or more but that's by far we get the cheapest inventory it's just unfortunate that in my area at least all the um library sales are seasonal so in the winter months you're pretty much at all yeah for sure Vin if if you're here on the mic did you get any of those Ain gaunlets for yourself maybe it's where people join and just walk away hey man the value you know what I mean yeah go ahead someone was talking my bad are you wanting to say something there Ron or you just accidentally unmuted yourself no I was to comment on
(3:59:11) um comment board Goodwill as as I said the only Goodwill I know is like in Burton is in what in Burlington Burlington yeah they're all over though yeah when I was sourcing books that's where I that's where I would go yeah there's not many Goodwills in the GTA honestly like in Toronto area not many I went when I first started I was in Windsor actually they had great stuff anyone's ever close to there no that's where G are yeah winds are Ontario like three and a half hours from
(4:00:16) Toronto yeah that's pretty far W I know they have a ton of um bin stores like liquidation stores but um yeah like Goodwill stuff like that there's a there's a lot of the Moon there I know that for a fact yeah for everybody that's here I don't know if anybody here is partaking in sneakers but uh the kith release that's happening on the 9th I believe Vin C Montreal mentioned he's gonna be offering uh free auto check out for that these do look like they should be very profitable so I hope everybody enters oh shoot I didn't realize that
(4:00:57) let me check it's in the sneaker chat yeah it has his own sneaker channel it's 0809 kth oh yeah yeah you're right you're right my bad so I'll sign up for that right now so I don't think he has the the drop um The Forum posted up yet but uh those are us numbers that we see but we are also seeing a Canadian release on kth CA and they should be very profitable yeah interesting interesting yeah when that form goes up I'll I'll sign up for it because uh I know kith goes for some some good money oh yeah a special edition Marvel
(4:01:37) shoes and I know like not everybody in here is into sneakers themselves but some of these sneakers can fetch a fairly good profit and generally the hype sneakers they have very good sales volume as well and that is on eBay right yeah like so you can sell them on eBay or stockx um a lot of sneakers it's ideal once your order is confirmed you can sell them as a pre-sale on eBay so you can basically sell them before you even get the inventory speaking of pre-sale uh you know those ninja slushies you called out yep so I actually got two of them my
(4:02:14) order still hasn't gotten canceled yet um I got them from London Drugs so it's a pre-order so on my eBay listing like I listed a couple days ago and I made a few modifications to it here and there I just want to get your opinion on this Jan so maybe it's because it's a pre-sale or something I have two of them that I ordered because I didn't want to take too much too much of a risk let's put that way um or anyone else's opinion to be to be frank let me quickly just see how many views it has cuz it has a crazy amount of views as Watchers but no
(4:02:43) no one's biting okay so I list this a few days ago and it's already at 850 views no sales but three Watchers the price I priced it a little bit below Market because it's obviously a pre-sale right but um for some reason it's not it's not selling you know give me a quick second I'm just I just have to run and see what going on with my dogs I will be right back and then I'll answer that yeah for [Music] sure I saw those were still avail and I'm like am I going to spend that much money but the profit looks so good what
(4:03:19) did you list it for I listed for $199.99 I should see if they still have them just because I'm not an experienced seller on eBay so I don't know if I'm going to get the views you know what I mean I don't have the rating that's yeah I fair enough fair enough um is anybody in brown area um that wants free shipping supplies or anything or a brand new work table are you selling it uh really you it for free to be honest this point it's brand new are you talking like are you talking about like a shipping table are you talking about um poly bags
(4:04:23) because I know someone who would be interested no I have um he not poly bags is the yeah I have the small ones the big ones the I have the extra large box I have the medium box I have the small box think I have around maybe 20 small um Home Depot boxes 20 small around 15 medium and maybe 10 extra large um I have a lot take your I'll take your boxes off of you Ron sure just send me the location where you want to pick it up and I'll drop it off to be honest you know I can meet you yeah you don't have to come this way I'm in I'm
(4:05:08) in North York I could come meet you I am not from Canada so when you okay if I say an intersection will you know yeah maybe like if I say 401 yeah you know that yes I 401 41 and young okay I'm not going to pretend like I know exactly where that is I'm I'm in North because of well like oh my goodness that's crazy are you Danny yeah I'm at Young and Steel's area like Bay I I travel I travel a lot all over the GTA like uh bay Shephard young Steels area so uh I go all over the city but yeah those are the two main places I I go yeah so it's literally
(4:05:57) just north of you a couple blocks which is that's yeah I know exactly where do you ever go to um um oh my God that restaurant's been there forever pickle Bale not The Pickle Barrel the other one uh it's right at where Don cter is oh my God golden there's a ton of them around there oh golden star yeah I know golden star um honestly I'm not a big fan of them but I understand why people like it yeah they' just they've been around forever and I think they're I don't know what they're holding out for they've been there for like 50
(4:06:30) years yeah I know it's crazy for sure yeah but Ron I can come meet you wherever I'll just drive to you sure just D me um the only thing I'm selling is my printer and it's fairly new cuz I don't think I have um May I don't think I have print over 10,000 SKS or anything as yet so I'll put the word out how much you want for it 18 okay just cuos Ron um like you said you're you're going Amazon us fully like what what's the mentality behind it um some personal issues really jul so I'm going to leave leave Canada for a
(4:07:22) while yeah family issues and I ain't no one Fair yeah so I'm yeah what's up Jordan oh sorry sorry Ron you finish what you were mentioning no like stuff that leaving Canada yeah he's leaving us yeah Ron mentioned that to me at the help at the start of the call he will he will still be around yeah I'll try to youze per Sailors no need for anything have no Danny with your listing so yeah it's good that it has that many views and already has some Watchers um from what I can see I would recommend that you put a small PPC like sponsorship on it right
(4:08:25) that's what I was thinking too do PPC ads actually work or are they like eh yeah because it takes you to the very top no matter what oh I see so for the PPC because it's a higher price item what would you recommend just do two% that's the minimum okay all right I'll do that right now um Jordan if it the sales uh you know man that referral money is kind of but also like so you have you do also have to have some patience right you said you you've only listed it for three days yeah but the thing is it's such a high it's like such a high ticket item
(4:08:57) right and you said like I know there's a ton of hype around it which is which is what's weird you know so correct yeah that's that but it is expensive and you still have to have some patient sometimes things take a couple days to sell man oh yeah yeah I I I know I know but I know but yeah like the nice thing with these the nice thing with these is like if you you could cancel your order if you're unsure about it or if you get them you could always send them back yeah that's true which which is a nice thing about it but same time the
(4:09:29) the margin looks looks really looks sweeter let's put it that way for sure yeah did you g you yourself or no I've ordered two yes yeah why have you listed yet or no I haven't no I haven't gotten around you have dude get on it because I'm looking at market and it looks like uh us sellers are starting to drop the market a bit so definitely get on it we could we could we could collaborate on price so we don't lowball each other we should do some price fixing yes yeah do some anti-c competitiveness you know what I
(4:10:04) mean no like yeah I'll definitely get them listed soon like I have so much sent around uh that I haven't listed yet like like Vin he got me those uh those Hot Wheel like uh the main the entire Mainline sets from Mattel I think those was a couple months ago um and I think I just got them like I think I got them like a month or so ago or so I still don't have them listed and they're like like I don't know like I think like 8009 eight or $900 each holy that's crazy man yeah just I haven't had the time unfortunately yeah I need need to spend
(4:10:44) some time to get things listed and uh or have a a warehouse sale I guess yeah yeah fair enough just just a quick question for everyone does anyone do any uh filled by Merchant in can or no yeah sorry you cut out what did you say are you making reference to Amazon yeah F fbm like a you instead of sending it to FBA yeah yeah I I used to do that but with I Stu that cost over 100 $100 so oh yeah fair enough me too like I'm right now I'm experimenting with heavier items uh and usually the heavier items like tend to go for money so um yeah there's
(4:11:32) no there's no real reason to th it in so I'm just going to see how that goes and uh yeah hopefully it goes well it worked for me because um like I was selling maybe the stuff that I that I was selling I was sing maybe like 15 per month and like a really good Roi instead of sending in it had two ents on on Amazon so I just jump on the high higher selling one and it was really selling like 150 even though when you looked at it um the reviews was like from 20 20 23 [Music] but somehow it was just steing like crazy but now the list in times so like
(4:12:22) to hell with it yeah that's that's fair that's why I'm thinking too uh Jordan just a quick thing I'm looking at the PPC ads right now they're giving me a daily campaign budget you said it's a certain percentage like how how do you price it out so you might have two options like you should have one that is a percentage and one that is a a dollar amount let me just pull up a let me pull up a here hold on the percentage is the general campaign strategy that's what what you pay after it Sals yeah so just do that 2% how about the PPC the PPC is
(4:12:53) the fixed dollar amount correct um you could do that as well um I've been experimenting with that I haven't established how much of a difference that has made yet um if you do want to try it I would just say just do like a very low amount but the that that you pay regardless on how much somebody click like if somebody clicks you pay it regardless if they purchase it or not what would you say what would you say is a uh very very low amount to you in that case I just say like maybe like a couple bucks a day all right I I'll do five
(4:13:23) just because I I I I want the sold all right done okay hopefully eBay promotes this and hopefully this sells because it's quite a bit of money but yeah uh I've been using the the PPC on uh eBay and what I've been finding actually is that um so far it hasn't resulted in more sales it's just more views yeah uh wow interesting okay well I'll try it out I'll I'll see how it goes um always down to try new things but uh yeah interesting stuff yeah I haven't uh spent time enough to fully compare it yet but it could certainly be
(4:14:03) just like was actually kind of it was actually was interesting cuz I used the uh I used the PPC um advertisement campaign on only a couple of listings I have on eBay one of them was uh from a lead that you that was shared for those uh um blue gingham uh keychain Crocs from Bath and Body Works um so I got about 20 of those and I created two listings um for a single unit listing and a a two unit listing and uh even though it's gotten a lot of views between the promoted listings um and the PPC campaigns combined with you
(4:14:43) know the popular the relative popularity of the item i' I had no sold so far interesting yeah eBay has been slow for me recently too but it is what it is I just wonder whether the obstacle at least in the case of those uh those keychains is just that uh is the sh the cost of shipping because a lot of American sellers because they get their shipping so much cheaper and we can and our our shipping now is much better than it used to be on eBay but because a lot of um sellers or a lot of buyers on eBay are Americans I'd say about 80% of my
(4:15:18) buyers are Americans um they have that expectation of of having that free shipping because it's what they're used to are you sorry Evan you're located in rural like what what province if you don't mind me asking or in Ontario Oh you're in Ontario okay um for shipping try try to list it for free and then do you use any like what carry do you use usually I use whatever is the the cheapest on um on eBay I do have um within about an hours drive I mean I have a stallion Express a drop off but I I because it is an hour's Drive I would only use it if I
(4:15:58) had a glut of orders to to drop off otherwise it just wouldn't be worth the cost yeah exactly that that makes sense I know there is in something similar to stallion that I've used in the past especially for the crossb shipping it makes it way cheaper it's called net parcel so check that out hopefully um because how how they work they're like stallion but you don't need to go to a specific drop off location like you could go to UPS drop it off with a UPS label but you pay like half the price even lower sometimes so um definitely
(4:16:28) check out that could help you out I have I've used them actually yeah um but what I found is that uh they won't um uh when I talk to them they wouldn't let me drop off the parcel unless it was through a third party shipper like stallion because of where that's so weird yeah huh strange no I haven't heard of that for me I could just walk into UPS drop it off and no questions asked yeah and they only do it within I don't think they do it across the border it's just within it's just domestically and it's limited to the GTA they do do a
(4:17:10) cross border um from from where I'm at I'm in Toronto but yeah it just it depends it honestly depends oh it's called sorry what's that Hugo the the company how it's called how it is called oh what's it called oh net parcel um but where where you located like are you in a big city small town I'm near m okay use stallion Express that's that's what I found to be the cheapest personally so stallion Express um it's it's really cheap rates like I could ship something across Canada for like five 10 bucks like something small obviously nothing too
(4:17:57) big right so um yeah definitely check it out it's it's very good rates well chances are if you're in Montreal they should have an they should have an office there and if they don't have an office there they'll probably have a drop off location close by usually a drop off location is in like a venience store or something and they'll have a special rack at the back and you just uh drop your package off there and then somebody from stallion Express usually will come once every business day depending on the location and pick up
(4:18:24) the the parcel that we ship gotcha yeah Drew are you kicking around here I know Vin mentioned he's in a noisy area yeah I'm still here how's it going good you good uh I know I don't think we've actually uh spoken together like this we we've chatted quite a bit but um how has Amazon been going for you it's been it's been fine been uh somewhat struggling to find more products but I'm getting there so how how long have you been selling for now uh I think a month or through okay okay uh if you if you don't want to
(4:19:21) certainly don't don't feel pressured to but do you mind sharing kind of like where you're at with like total volume sales wise total volume I think I'm at 8 Grand right now in sales okay and you said that like between like two three months is yeah around that that's pretty solid I know like in my it might seem to you like it's not anything um anything crazy but that's that's pretty good I mean my entire first month I sold under $1,000 so yeah really so like you mentioned like the hardest thing for yourself is finding new
(4:20:02) products yeah it's uh it's a show right now yeah so what kind of uh sourcing have you been consistently doing uh I've been uh looking through like Walmart and stuff like that just uh online and sometimes in stores okay Ju Just Walmart for now for now that's mostly it's mostly yeah yeah mostly Walmart yeah fair enough um have you tried doing any storefront stocking at all yeah just a bit Yeah haven't uh looked into it too much fair fair I I don't think you were here when we had like the main session but I did uh kind
(4:20:48) of discuss go through my kind of thought process when it comes to storefront stocking so if obviously if you like once the recording is up I would definitely recommend that you look through it because storeone stocking in my opinion is probably one of the easiest ways to get started to find consistent products yeah yeah we're done and so how have you been finding Amazon overall versus like sneaker reselling kind of your your Forte I think uh the return is slower but you have more volume for sure let's say a shoe I
(4:21:23) can buy it have it and then be selling in a week or so while Amazon it's a bit slower but it's more consistent yeah definitely so with most of the shoes that you would buy and sell like you you tend to sell through them quite quickly yeah just trying to get rid of them as fast as I can yeah with a lot of the shoes that you get though like do you find it pretty difficult to get many pairs not not really yeah depends on uh which sneaker but most of way I go for it it's like it's more underrated stuff yeah it's like less known for uh
(4:22:05) the majority of the like the the resellers okay fair enough we're on um are you doing like any general flipping as well like with kind of like some of the stuff that we have in the server or just sneakers and Amazon for now it's sneakers and Amazon yeah Fair cool um so then do you see yourself sticking with Amazon long term then uh yeah that's that's the goal make enough so uh can maybe make a switch just sneakers right now it's like bit slower than what it used to be right yeah like I've definitely I I'm not from the sneaker world at all but
(4:22:52) from what I've heard it's definitely slowed down a lot compared to like a couple years ago yeah yeah Beauty yeah I oh sorry goad Jordan just going to say it's good to actually finally talk to you because I don't think we've ever chatted before like I mentioned yeah you've been kicking around for a while so it's good to finally talk yeah what were you gonna say Danny yeah like U I've seen as well sneaker Market has died hard especially in the last year surprisingly like I I'm a sneaker head myself and you know it's uh I'm not
(4:23:28) complaining one bit because stuff stuff's cheaper but um yeah I feel for you man yeah we have a couple people in here that um came primarily from the the sneaker world like Drew and Vin like H Montreal they were both uh come from sneakers so it's always interesting to see the transition for sure for sure uh for you said there was going to be ACO on the Ki drop right the free ACO like do you know approximately when that'll be posted because uh I'm gonna be really busy on the night out it was posted for oh it's
(4:24:10) already it's out I'm doing it now god dude that is Godly okay I'm gonna sign up right now do you know what shoe I should should ask for like there's four options all of them the the Gen jar the Jigglypuff the snor lag no no I don't know what are you looking at what are you looking at I I know I don't know I don't know it's Marvel it's Marvel kith oh I I think he I think he just you know what I'm me I'm in the Crocs oh my God no I think he I think he just didn't update his form that's fine oh my God I'm in the Crocs cancel
(4:24:54) no that that's the Forum that was on the kith one I think Vin just didn't update his for that's okay oh my God I just canceled it all then if you're here you didn't update your form I was like what the are you talking about jiggly [Laughter] I'm like what is this he just edited it did he yeah okay let me go back in that's so funny I'm like I don't know what to put but yeah that should be an oh thank you that should be a thank you it should be very profitable sneakers what size 11 yeah focus on bigger sizes like n and
(4:25:41) a half fish plus a virgin at all this my first one uh keep in mind that the I think it's the Venom ones are the more expensive ones but they should still do well okay so which ones do you think now I'll I'll name the ones that are here Magento silver Surfer Venom and Green Goblin Magento Magneto oh Magneto whatever wait honestly all of them should do well um the ones that are not the the Venom ones they may may or may not have higher profit margin but they should all be profitable realistically you're saying do the
(4:26:36) Venom I mean like those are the ones that cost more so like those are the ones I like they're about 350 US so they will cost a lot more but they should still do well oh is it us I'm paying in uh no no uh I believe he's running the I'm paying in Canadian paying for what the sneakers yeah yeah like he's uh he has uh links there for the Canadian profiles okay no I just want to know which credit card to use yeah no these are Canadian profiles yeah okay um what did you say it was Magneto Magneto Magneto yeah only one only one check out false
(4:27:27) if you want more okay I only want one for now een Meeny Mo I don't know which one to pick guys you can do all of them any suggestions we take a vote you can do all them if you want just do all because it's not it's not guaranteed you g you right so just oh so I should just click all of them assuming that you're okay with the potentially checking out all of them yes so you just have to keep that in mind like it's not guaranteed you're going to get them all but it is potential that you will get well it says only
(4:28:06) one false if you want more than two pairs but I put true so that means I don't want more than two pairs that'd be that'd be per color I would assume God you guys are confused so like ju just really confusing just like show you like how I just want one pair so then just choose one and that's fine so okay the just like to kind of like give you an idea of how some Bots operate I don't do anybody myself but I've done like I've utilized ACO a lot and Vin has done quite a few for myself when we did uh some of the Mattel drops
(4:28:46) I just gave him a list of the things that look good and I just said just try for these and there was no no cap on any of them but I gave multiple accounts on the Monster High Adams Family dolls had no idea how many I was going to get right um I think um when he first sent me the details it was like 12 dolls that he checked out but when I ended up getting them all I think I got 24 oh my gosh yeah when they all show up I was like oh my God I I didn't realize I was getting so many okay so maybe I should just check
(4:29:23) one and not all four whatever you want it's up to you I just want to try one Silver Surfer how much how much are those did someone tell me which one to pick please whatever you want anyone they they're all going to be profitable or what about the Green Goblin where can I see what these look like f so if you click the product links that he provided in the post there they're all they should all be there or they 404 not found if you look in the drop Channel sneakers they might show pictures there yeah I just I just sent mine in uh
(4:30:20) Q MTL if you're hearing this my guy go ham enjoy so yeah go all out essentially that's what I'm trying to say but um yeah I'm going to head out because it's already 12:30 over here I have to wake up early in the morning uh great call as usual and uh hopefully everyone's going to do well in the Q4 sounds good have yourself a good night Danny all right you to joining take care everyone take care good night he he made reference to Q4 um how do you guys approach you for do so it depends on what stage you're at if you are very experienced you do have
(4:31:08) to you should adjust your buying accordingly to match Q4 numbers a lot of people just expect that Q4 is going to go massive and yeah Q4 we have some of the biggest months that we have all year but it's not like your sales typically you're going to expect to double every single month you should have some of the biggest months between about November and January that you ever had but you're typically not going to expect like 100 200% increases unless you're adjusting your volume accordingly so what I recommend for most people if
(4:31:43) they're going to their first Q4 don't stress about it just keep buying keep sending you'll see how Q4 operates and then you'll have a better idea of how you should adjust your buying for next year but reasonably you should expect most months that you're going to sell like 20 to 50% more across the board on most products how much more did you just say huh how much more did you just say in general probably depending on your products about 20 to 50ish per more right there are certainly some things like if you are heavy into toys
(4:32:32) the volume will be increased even more substantially but across the board that's probably what you're looking at it might be a little bit different this Q4 um because we are seeing like massive indications of potential recessions that are going to be happening so I still expect Q4 to be solid but it may not be as big of as a Q4 bump as what we normally expect and that goes across maybe and who is sorry what was that wrong I see that may be goers for both OA purchases and wholesale purchases I apologize Ron I didn't catch
(4:33:22) what you what you said your mic was cutting out a little bit I'm seeing that sorry I'm just saying that mainly goes across both OA OA and wholesale purchases because I heard you mention that you you're mainly focusing on wholesale now so for for Q4 or for the recession Q4 so Q4 will have an impact on all sellers QA or wholesale so just volume in general um increases across Amazon across all products in Q4 specifically like as we get like closer into like November and then depending on the type of product that you sell if you sell stuff like
(4:34:03) outside of the toys category you will probably have a a very surprising January like January for us is always the best month that we have have every single year and that it's been like that for me like almost ever since I started regardless whether it's wholesale or Arbitrage so Jordan are you expecting uh the forthcoming Q4 then to be um lukewarm or somewhat lukewarm mainly because you know in the Bank of Canada's been so slow to decrease interest rates I don't think spending is going to be impacted that much like when we look at
(4:34:42) the previous Prime day like Amazon had record sales right um so people are certainly not slowing down their spending yet and they're not going to be slowing down their spending until they start getting hit reality for the debts that they've been incurring um but I think by Q4 some people in general may be a little bit more conscious about what's happening especially if we consistently see new stories about recession Etc so I still think toys will still perform in Q4 just because it's Q4 people are going to buy toys for their
(4:35:11) kids regardless whether or not they have money all your consumable goods are still probably going to do just as fine um where we're going to see a big difference in my opinion is unnecessary products outside of toys so a lot more just general Electronics even though like things like headphones and stuff like that I think will still be fine but like luxury Electronics um sports equipment stuff like that like it'll still be consistent but I just don't think we'll see as huge of a bump as what we have in Prior years um is anyone in the chat um
(4:36:06) familiar with starting an LLC within the United States yeah I have some experience with that Ron um did you use a service or did you do it by yourself uh I used a service um and this was when I was first new to online reselling because of course at the time I thought that in order to to do while selling online you had to do so in the US obviously that was a mistake on my part so um I first started out with eBay Drop Shipping and at the time I was um encouraged to form an LLC in the states and I used a third party service
(4:36:50) called um I think it was Delaware Inc or something like that and uh it's an all in it's a a business that specifically caters to um provides business services so you can form llc's or corporations um you can also get your EIN through them I mean you can do that for free through I think the IRS um or there's a small fee for it I can't remember um but you can have but if you would rather not go through the IRS um you can have uh Delaware Inc uh arrange all those documents for you what was the process in terms of
(4:37:29) finding your your business name I'm trying and it's really the name I'm coming up with it either take you know something I yeah so I just Ed um I used a random name generator on the internet uh I can't remember what the um the website was but there were certain parameters um or that you would or certain certain fields that you would complete and from the data that you inputed into those fields there'd be a a set of general questions that you would be asked and you'd provide your answers and from those answers this uh name
(4:38:10) generator business name generator um would spit out a number of possibilities to choose from and I just chose one of those um one of those POs one of those options I think I at the time I had typed in something like random name generator on Google and uh or random business name generator on Google and uh from there um I clicked on a website that then presented me with a a series of names I could choose from okay thanks for that uh like I'm going to have to look up that [Music] something but if you're going to do um
(4:38:51) an LLC an LLC though run it might be I mean you'd have to speak to an accountant about this um like uh if you're depending on what your your country's tax laws are um I know here in Canada um I was advised you know after I had formed the LLC by my account at the time um my crossb account um to form a corporation instead of an LLC because the the Canada Revenue Agency or um our country's tax Authority doesn't recognize llc's um in the same way the US government does they treat them as corporations and they tax them
(4:39:31) accordingly so it might be more advantageous for you to consider um forming a corporation and depending on your country's tax laws and uh I know here in Canada when I you had the option um even though you had formed the LLC to you have to choose between two two St tax structures and uh because you're not a not a resident of the US or a citizen of the US you'd have to for probably you'd have to choose to be taxed as a C Corp you you break up a bit I didn't hear it last Bo oh no I was just saying that if um depending on what your country's tax
(4:40:17) laws are if they don't um recognize a US LLC um in the same way the US government would recognize it um essentially as I understand it anyway the IRS recognizes llc's um in uh like a sole proprietorship but with um limited liability protection um Canada there's no such recognition the only way that you can get limited liability is if you form a corporation um so I don't know if it's the same in your country but if it is then You' probably it would be best to form a corporation in the states rather than to um to form an
(4:41:04) LLC but make sure you check though with a of course because I'm not an accountant make sure you just check with a an accountant um I don't know um you might have a crossb accountant or a US accountant um they would have able they might be able to help you somebody who knows both um you know your country's tax laws and US tax laws like we have some here in Canada they're called crossb accountants um I have to check because back in my country I just leave my lawyer but I fired him so oh is that well actually that's
(4:41:43) another another option you can take too it's actually an option I wish I had I had pursued in retrospect but I known it at the time is just to have a corporate lawyer do it for you um because they can handle the formation of the corporation and anything else that's involved um for you as well so that's that's another option or you can go through an accountant but a lawyer is probably a better option yeah for me when I wanted to purchase a host in the US so we just went to a lawyer but find out that he's a thief so F him and um just legal
(4:42:18) persons that much since then but I just I want to open the LLC because I think that everything is just easier to start an Amazon business there so guess uh I was just trying to see if I could uh do a diu but I guess not a DI you mean like a a DBA doing business ass no diu do it yourself oh oh DIY you mean yeah yeah my bad my bad DIY well I was looking at Zen business or legal zom but yeah legal zoms are legal zoms are really is a pretty good company from what I understand but I used um um Harvard Inc or Delaware I
(4:43:16) think it's called sorry Delaware Inc it's or Harvard Business Services I just found that they they were much easier to deal with um Legal Zoom has a lot of uh offers a lot of services that I think are just um extra padding you don't really need them um but uh so I think I paid for when I formed the LC was $229 and then I paid an extra 4E 50 US dollars for the Ein that's so Al righty everybody uh I think I am going to head out so I appreciate everybody coming out I will have the recording up probably either later
(4:44:06) tonight if not tomorrow if you guys want to kick around and talk always start feel free but uh yeah I appreciate everybody coming out and I hope everybody has themselves a good night
