Video Transcript
(00:00) cool so as I mentioned I just want to go over a lot of the additional features that we've been introducing lately into the server uh because we've been introducing a lot and I know it can get overwhelming with some people um so this will just give a chance for everybody to see all the new stuff that we've been onboarding uh give everybody a chance to ask any questions that they have about any of the new features that we've been introducing at all and then uh as I mentioned kind of just open up to a general Q&A at the end of the session
(00:31) where we can discuss anything Amazon eBay reselling whatever anybody desires so uh this is the agenda that I have so I I just put in here kind of the things that we discussed last time in our last General server call which was at the end of April so we had introduced a good handful of features back then uh some of the key ones were we introduced the uh personal private restock monitors uh we introd produced focus groups uh we had some additions to sports betting um and then the Best Buy deals and those were some of the key ones that
(01:10) we were uh that we had introduced last time and then this time we have a whole host of new features that we've introduced so some of the main ones that we've introduced recently is we do have the new SMS system so if you haven't signed up for that yet I would highly recommend that you do and to sign up for that all you have to do is come into the getting started section and look for the SMS signup Channel and all you have to do is just click subscribe here and then it'll ask you to input your phone number you will have to put input your phone
(01:44) number with a plus symbol in front of it and then also your area code so like for myself and Saskatoon I put plus 1306 and then your full phone number and the form that pops up and that will uh register you for SMS list and what that will do is anything that is very important that we think that needs eyeballs right away uh we will send out messages um for for those specific calls so it's not going to be every day it'll actually be used very rarely but just for things that are very important just to ensure that you
(02:17) don't miss those notifications uh because Discord uh notifications especially on mobile can tend to be very laggy so I know like when I'm on my phone even at home on my Wi-Fi sometimes will'll get notified of something on Discord I don't see it on my phone for like about like 10 20 30 seconds later and for some things that makes a huge difference right so it's just for things that need eyeballs immediately from really like really time sensitive stuff stuff that's just happening right now like say there's a brand new Taylor
(02:47) Swift sign drop that nobody was aware of and there's stuff that's actually in stock then we'll send out a notification so everybody can uh try to action it as quickly as possible so if you ever have any problems signing up for the SMS system just let me me know and then since our last call we also introduced uh chokey to the team who is a professional in ticket reselling so he's been uh in the ticket selling business for more than 20 years and we have our weekly call or not our weekly our monthly call with him uh this
(03:19) week as well I believe it's coming up on Wednesday here to discuss all the ins and outs of ticket reselling so I think he's going to be a very good addition to the team uh he's been doing some calls of course whenever good uh shows come up to give his insights on what could be profitable and he also gives a lot of good insights on just ticket reselling in general and then next we also introduced uh Q Montreal to the team as a auto checkout provider so he is somebody that uh has been in the sneaker reselling business for quite some time and he does
(03:56) operate Auto checkout Bots and so we are getting set up with him to offer free auto checkout or ACO for the entire server so you'll notice that for a lot of the things that he's been uh mentioning in his channel uh it's been completely for free so we do have other Auto checkout providers that also provide their services for specific drops but they charge a corresponding fee depending on the item typically the more profitable an item is the more that they would charge you for a pass fee or pay after success so like the guy fraud
(04:33) decline here uh last week he indicated some stuff for the Supreme drop last week if you wanted anything from him all you have to do is fill out his form with your info and then for any item that he successfully checks out for you he would charge you $15 per item and so with Q Montreal this will be actually a service that's completely free and he won't be charging for anything um we will still have paid iders in here as well just because Q Montreal won't have won't be able to do every single drop that exists just
(05:05) because he doesn't have every single bot on the market so he has capabilities are within the Bots that he has um abilities for which covers like most like the main websites like a lot of Shopify sites Amazon Walmart stuff like that uh but there are some sites that he won't be able to do or he may not be available so we do have other providers in here as well so just in case you ever want to take advantage of that uh but Q Montreal stuff will always be found under the release guide section of the auto checkout category and so he will Pro
(05:38) provide some additional information about what he thinks the items will be able to resell for how much they cost any additional insights that he has and then also his corresponding form and if you're not familiar if you do want to take advantage of this all you have to do is open up the Google form fill out your information in here and then he will run the his bots on your your behalf and basically he's inputting your information into his bot and then they are checking out those items for you automatically uh some people may have
(06:09) questions about whether or not that's safe uh we do have some information about that in here under how it works and so obviously there are some risks that come with auto checkout when you're utilizing somebody else uh but if you're using a credit card obviously you are completely insured so if there is ever any fraudulent activity you are obviously insured for that uh I do always ensure that we vet the people that we on board into the server so I do know that these are professionals that have been doing it for a long time I
(06:41) can't ever guarantee that nothing bad will happen but the chances are very unlikely uh but again that's why we recommend using credit cards and not like Visa debits so that you are insured for those types of things and then there is also a slight risk when you are utilizing Bots that they may check out more units than what you were expecting so you just have to understand those risks it's very rare that that happens but it's always possible so like if you just want like say one of an item it is possible that you may get two or three
(07:10) or more it's a rare that that happens again the more in tune somebody is with their Bots the less likely that is to happen but it is always a possibility so yeah but mainly he's going to be offering free ACO for all the drops that uh he's able to and so that'll just be a really nice feature for everybody uh in the server that doesn't run their own Bots it'll just give give everybody the chance uh the opportunity to get a lot more items that they otherwise could not all right and then so the next thing that we had introduced here recently is
(07:47) something called a Shopify checkpoint and password monitor so what this guy does is this one actively monitors all the Shopify sites that we are actively ly monitoring which is quite a lot uh but primarily like um artist musicians websites and whenever it detects that a Shopify checkpoint goes up or a password page goes up on that website it'll notify the channel and so what a checkpoint is is that's basically like a anti-bot function through Shopify to help prevent uh Bots from Auto cheing out or adding additional captas things
(08:26) like that and so the reason why we track these things is because when checkpoints go up or when a password page goes up on a website that is typically an indication that that website is loading more products onto their website and they don't want people to take advantage of them while they're getting loaded so that will typically tell us that there's a possibility that a new drop is coming right so like this morning uh we had an in uh we got a notification that Sabrina Carpenter had put up a password page on
(08:55) her Shopify site and so we didn't know for sure but we assumed that a new drop was coming so I announced that to everybody and we never know what's going to happen unless they announce that prior uh which quite often they don't and then the password page went down and we got notifications of new products being added to her website it wasn't anything special today uh but there's always possibility that there is so that's the importance of why we're going to be watching these guys in the future it'll just help give us kind of that a
(09:26) bit of additional Edge for uh these types of drops so covered a couple things any questions so far about any of that if you do have any questions please let me know okay cool so then the next feature that we have introduced uh since our last session is a filtered monitor uh filtered monitor section of the server so these are filtered monitors that are more so targeted to Shopify websites and just in case anybody doesn't know a Shopify website um Shopify is a very large platform that offers e-commerce Services right so they
(10:19) are a platform that you can open up a website through something like Wix or Squarespace uh but they are focused around a e-commerce store so so they are like one of the largest retailer or one of the largest providers of online stores in the world so a ton of uh businesses artists Etc utilize Shopify just because it's so easy to use and so when we're talking about Shopify websites we're talking about those websites and ones that we specifically monitor so this section here the filtered monitor section primarily
(10:55) covers Shopify websites and they are filtered down by individual categories in case you want to set keywords for anything or monitor certain uh sections or drops so like we have a ton of websites monitored for different artists for art websites for books for toys video games vinyl Etc okay so if you ever are curious about what we're monitoring uh when you come into a channel you'll see one of two things you'll see either a title at the very top of the screen here uh what that you can click into and this will tell you all the websites or
(11:35) keywords that are being monitored for that channel if you don't see that that means the list is too long and so we come into like the artist merch section we don't see that up here because uh we're limited for the amount of characters we can put in this section so if we look at the pinned messages section we can then jump to here and we can see all the websites that are coming into this channel so these are all the websites that are being monitored for this channel ton of popular artists and so all these guys are coming into here and
(12:08) so what these monitors are doing is they're actively looking for new products and restocks of products so it'll catch them both and for all these websites that are here and whenever detects those it'll put them in this website so we see a lot of stuff in here every single day uh not everything's profitable by any means um but when we do catch aable stuff then that's when we will announce it to the whole group so catches stuff from Lincoln Park Taylor Swift uh Sabrina Carpenter 21 Pilots everybody that we Monitor and of course if you want to uh
(12:44) monitor any websites yourself um if you want to add any websites into this just let me know and we can get those added for you and then for like the section for vinyl uh this is pulling certain keywords from other sites from all the sites that were monitoring and placing them in here so it is monitoring specific websites like rafiti records but then it's also monitoring just for specific keywords so anything with the name vinyl will come into this Channel or LP or CD so all the artist websites that it's monitoring like Sabrina
(13:16) Carpenter Taylor Swift uh Lincoln Park 21 Pilots if it ever detects the word vinyl it'll then populate in this channel so if you're just looking at sourcing vinyls then you can just uh kind of gauge your focus into to this individual Channel or set keywords for this channel so just it's not something that you have to utilize if you don't want to obviously uh but it's here in case you do want to utilize it and I believe it can be a pretty powerful tool okay so then uh one of the other changes that we have made recently is
(13:53) made a wide variety of changes to the news and feeds channels that we have so we have a section uh for news and feeds so this is just feeding information from different websites or social media sites like Twitter and Instagram Reddit Etc so we had a bunch of these bundled into one category um we had like one for TCG for trading card games and then we had one for Collectibles and there was a bunch of stuff bundled into those two channels so what we did is we just split it out just in case you want to really focus in on
(14:28) individual things and then we added some more channels so like L canana and Pokemon uh and Magic the Gathering those were all under the TCG card section and then like vinyls um video games Lego those were all under Collectibles and now they just all have their own channels and we've also added some additional feeds for these corresponding channels as well in case you ever want to monitor any of these for potential drops information set keywords things like that and if you ever want to see what is being monitored
(15:03) for each channel uh just like we mentioned before all you have to do is come into a channel look at the title up here and click on this guy and it'll tell you exactly what's being monitored if you don't see it in here check the pin messages and you'll see it in there if it's too long so like the vinyl feeds is monitoring um a lot of different Reddit feeds that um sends out information about new releases for vinyls um and then certain Twitter websites Etc whereas if we go into the ticket feed Channel this is monitoring a ton of
(15:40) artists specifically for the keywords of uh date show tickets and tour so it's monitoring all their Twitters all these people's twitters for those keywords and if it ever detects those keywords in a post on Twitter then it'll post it in this channel okay so again we have a lot of capability and functionality with the Bots that we have in our server so if you ever want to inquire about adding any these things into channels or feeds just let me know and I'll let you know if we're able to do it or not and again
(16:13) these are all here uh mostly for us to find information to call to everybody else but I also want to ensure that we are not just feeding information to people I want to be teaching everybody how to be able to find this information themselves and be able to build their own reselling business or whatever type business they're trying to build and be able to find that information themselves so that's why we that's why we provide these tools in here whereas with like a lot of servers that you find either they won't provide these in their main server
(16:41) they'll have a secondary server only for staff members or uh they just monitor certain channels themselves whereas with myself I'd rather be completely transparent and show everybody where we're getting all of our information from so any questions so far cool so there's a couple more things and then we'll discuss some of the upcoming changes and then we'll open up to the general Q&A so the next thing that we have introduced is the Shopify deal channels and so this is still something that's kind of in beta testing so it's not
(17:22) fully ironed out yet um so obviously there are things that are still going to be improved on it but under the deals category we have Shopify deals for Canada and the US and this is just basically monitoring every single website that we have uh monitored for Shopify websites which is a lot and then it if it detects any price drops or underpriced items it'll notify these channels accordingly so I mentioned that they're kind of still in B in in beta so like you'll see a lot of items when they first get added to Shopify they show up
(17:58) as a zero item because the store is just adding those items into their catalog and they haven't set a price yet right so a lot of these items when you click on them like this one says it's $0 but when you click on it it'll probably have a price on it already see it says it's $5.
(18:14) 95 so this is something that's still being worked out uh but once it is um worked out properly and smoothed out we won't see many of these anymore we will only see the ones that are actually mispriced for potential price errors and then for websites that have really good deals on right so like 70 plus% off on their products and we'll see every single website that we're monitoring that has I think the threshold is 60 60% right now but every website that we're monitoring whenever it detects that it'll pump those products in here and some websites that you may not think of
(18:49) will be feeding into these channels as well so like some websites that people would utilize for online Arbitrage like wellwise is a Shopify channel uh which is a which is a shopper website um giant tiger and like places like hobbieville stuff like that so it's not going to be a replacement for just your everyday regular sourcing but it'll be a good place to find really good deals that have like capability of being very profitable and again we can load any Shopify sit that we want into these so if there's any that you come across that
(19:25) you want to uh explore adding into these just let me know we'll get it added for you okay so then we have added a handful of new restock monitors over this past month as well so we added one for a website called book manager and book manager is a it's kind of like Shopify but for bookstores and a lot of independent bookstores run their website through book manager so we added that because there are a lot of potential when we see uh books being dropped that have like special editions or assigned editions that will help ensure that
(20:08) we're able to find those on their websites and also monitor for restocks so we added that guy uh we added iherb so we previously had one for a public monitor but there we we now have the capability to monitor iherb privately so you can do that within your private uh DMS with bought and you can monitor any product you want from iherb privately uh we added a scraper for London Drugs specifically to help find deals clearance things of that nature we added a restock monitor for for McFarlan toys uh the McFarlan toy
(20:48) store uh one for Puma us that was specifically to monitor for that jacket or that shirt that they dropped that was very expensive we added one for Sunday red which is Tiger Woods new website uh just because his new merch had a lot of good potential for reselling so there's one we added a restock monitor a scraper Monitor to Monitor for new products and then also one to monitor privately as well uh it's kind of been a mixed bag with his stuff that's been uh been getting released that's what we haven't seen a lot about it but in the event
(21:25) that he does ever release something that has more viability we will let everybody know and then we also recently added one for the source as well so that's a re a public restock Monitor and you're also able to utilize it um in your private restock monitors as well we also added multiple new sneaker monitors just from the new sneaker drops that have been happening so we added one for Action Bronson's websites because of his recent drops so for both 185 roses and specializing in life Alma manier I believe I can pronounce
(22:02) that right Bor Bor xrays Futura J Balin and mumas so all those guys are under the sneaker category or the sneaker monitors rather if I can find them and these monitors are monitoring for both restocks and scraping for new products at the same time so these are very popular websites when it comes to expensive sneaker drops that have good potential for reselling that's why I added them so you can watch these channels if you want to um see any future drops for these guys set keywords things of that nature okay and then just recently we
(22:49) also added some sneaker raffle bots so under the sneakers Channel or sneakers category we have sneaker raffle CA us and worldwide so these are just monitoring a lot of very popular websites that release sneaker Raffles um and it just gives you the ability to find them and enter them so a lot of popular sneakers that get released a lot of boutique stores and individual retailers will release uh Raffles for the ability to purchase these items just because they're so limited so you can just look in here for any sneakers that
(23:26) you want to cop and then just able to click on the links and enter in their corresponding Raffles and that obviously increase your chances of being able to cop certain sneakers right so we have the ca channel the this is specifically for CA retailers that's uh ship to Canada the US Raffles are retailers that only ship to the us so we can still take advantage of these with crossb uh crossb services and then we also have worldwide ones that ship worldwide so any sneakers that release that are very profitable I would highly
(24:00) recommend that you monitor these channels for those guys like the uh recent Travis Scott canaries the J Balvin ones um the upcoming Kobes that we have uh any of the ones that are very profitable I would recommend that you watch these guys and enter in enter in any coresponding Raffles that you can because it'll just increase your chances greatly of being able to cop some of these pairs I know not a lot of us are super into Sneaker reselling but I do want to ensure that for those that are we have as many resources available as
(24:36) possible okay so then the last section that we've recently introduced are some new sports betting monitors so these are monitors that are monitoring different websites and sports books for either insights uh potential Arbitrage uh bets potential increased positive expected value um a lot of things that I don't personally understand because I'm not too too into sports betting myself uh but it gives a lot of good information about sports betting in general so it'll give you some insights uh regarding some of the main sports we have more channels
(25:10) that are being built that are going to be uh inputed in here in the near future but these are ones that we have now for MLB NBA NHL WNBA and so it it'll give you insights about specific players or games it'll give you insights about specific prop bets that would probably make sense that you have a positive expected value of profiting on based on prior stats so it finds that information for you and provides that information directly in here for you and then soon we'll also have um Arbitrage bets which basically
(25:43) look for Arbitrage opportunities be um between different uh Sports books so it uh on one sports book it'll have a certain negative odds another sports book it'll have a certain positive odds and it'll tell you if you bet $20 on this sports book and $50 on this sports book you're guaranteed no matter what the outcome is to make 10 or $20 profit and that's something that is a business model that exists that like there are very expensive Bots um that cost hundreds of dollars a month people do that for a living um and we'll just have
(26:17) that automatically added in the server okay so a lot of recent features that we've had so any questions about any of that at all before we go on to the upcoming stuff okay so these are some of the things that we have upcoming and so when I say upcoming I mean in the relative short term I can't give any expectations on exactly when we'll be seeing these things just because um what whenever I do it seems like we have development issues so I don't want to give anybody's h up uh but these are all things that are being
(27:00) worked on right now and we should be seeing in the relative short term so one of the main ones is a new price error system so I've been building out a ability to better notify everybody about potential price errors that we see from the variety of deal websites that we monitor or websites that we monitor for deals rather so like Walmart Walmart US Home Depot Best Buy Shopify Amazon uh because I know it's very hard to sit here and pay attention to these channels all day every day and if you set your own personal keywords for this
(27:37) channel like say if you set like 90% 91% 92% that can take a while to do and then you're you're kind of like looking at DMS all day every day and that can be a real pain in the ass so we've been building out a system to help streamline this and do it automatically for everybody it's been taking longer than I expected as with most development things but when it's working properly it'll kind of look like this so whenever it detects a really high price drop on a product in any of the deal websites that we have it'll notify a specific Channel
(28:13) and then it'll uh ping a corresponding role so like in this case this isn't a good product but it was previously detected that this was selling for $1,500 and it was now priced at $169 so it was 99% off so very very big discount and then it forwards it to this Channel and pings the uh role for Price errors so we'll have a role for Price errors and one for potential price errors so there should be a lot easier way to see any potential price errors that we see throughout the channels because I know there's a ton of stuff that uh happens
(28:48) on like especially like Amazon us that we tend to miss because it's just buried with so much other stuff so this will make that process a whole lot easier so again I can't say 100% when this will be available uh we've been having some issues with how many keywords we want my list is already at 200 so it provides some development issues but as soon as we have it available we will make it available to everybody another thing that we have upcoming in the near future is price change mon so we've already been testing this in
(29:30) the server and so it's under it's under the price change section or Price monitors so right now we're just monitoring two US websites so Amazon us and Walmart us and what this does is this allows us to set a certain price point that we want for a certain item and then it'll notify the corresponding Channel or yourself privately when the items hit that price or below so for example if you want to monitor If an item is on sale you can utilize these guys and say if you want to want to monitor this item when it hits $20 or
(30:09) less you can do that and then get notified when that item hits 20 bucks and you never really have to check that item ever again because the monitors that we have they they check the products every few seconds so they are extremely quick they're quicker than places like Kea they're a lot quicker than services that you may use like visual ping that you have to pay for um so they're very very powerful tools that we'll be able to utilize so firstly they will be introduced as public monitors like we see here and eventually they
(30:40) will be added for all websites that we support and then eventually you will be able to add them to the private monitors as well so just like the private restock monitors you'll be able to interact with our bot in in DMS and you'll be able to monitor for price changes privately so nobody else sees what you're monitoring for and that's super helpful for OA Arbitrage especially we are also actively working on introducing a lot of additional Canadian deal websites so we don't have too many right now like we have Amazon
(31:19) we have Best Buy we have Shopify uh we are actively working on getting more introduced into here specifically websites like Walmart that's a high priority Home Depot a lot of the big guys um that have really high potential of having very big price drops Andor price errors that they will actually honor okay so a lot of that stuff it just takes a lot of development so we have a lot of those websites for the US already uh but we are actively working on getting those added for Canada as well um one thing I me mentioned I
(31:58) believe it was earlier last week or the week prior I don't remember exactly we will probably be rebranding the server in the near future and that is just kind of changing name maybe logos just because I don't personally like the name that we have right now so I have been asking for feedback in the feedback and suggestions channel so that is under support and resources feedback and suggestions so I just mentioned up here that we are looking to Rebrand so if you have any suggestions please put them in here and if I do end up using your
(32:32) suggestion I will be rewarding that individual with uh free membership um I do have a couple ideas in mind for myself but I want to see what everybody else um has for ideas and if I like it and we use it then you'll get rewarded for that correspondingly and just because I don't I'm not a really creative person I just when I started building the server I just made up a name on the Fly I think it's too related to our leadless service I think people get too confused I don't think it's a really good name so just looking to do some rebranding now that
(33:08) we're growing uh another feature that we have um working on right now is a scraper for Kijiji and also potentially some changes for eBay so the one for kiji uh ideally it'll be able to monitor everybody should be able to interact with the bot themselves and then set their own keywords for any location on Kijiji for any keyword and for any set price so like say if you want to monitor Toronto for PS5 $200 or less you should be able to actively monitor Kijiji exactly for that criteria and then you'll be able to
(33:52) get pinged correspondingly not sure if it's going to be public or private yet um but you'll be able to be pinged correspondingly whenever it detects those keyword for you and like most of our other monitors it'll happen within probably a few seconds it just depends on the antibot that Kijiji has which I don't think is very good so it'll probably be relatively quickly and it'll probably be a lot quicker than kiji notifying you um within the notifications that they have on the website um and it'll be a lot easier for
(34:23) you to manage if you monitor kiji for anything so whether it's um specific keywords or free items or whatever um again I can't say exactly when we're going to be introducing that but it is something that's being worked on so something that we can look forward to in the very near future and then I also have an idea to do the exact same thing with eBay uh we do have a couple eBay monitors right now where we can monitor specific keywords so we can monitor um for a keyword and then whenever new listings show up on eBay
(34:58) it'll ping that corresponding Channel we can do that with specific sellers so whenever a seller monitors or whenever a seller adds a new item to their storefront we can get pinged immediately but I also want to have the ability to do a similar thing as I mentioned with Kijiji with eBay so monitor for a specific keyword for a specific price or less and get notified when it detects those I think having something like that would be really powerful for people that do use product flips or want to find stuff personally
(35:30) um I there are things that kind of exist like that for in some capacity for eBay but I don't think they work as well as they could or what I'm wanting to build for us so those are things that we should be looking forward to in the near future and then lastly um one feature that we have that's probably going to be introduced everybody very soon are the retailer deal retailer deal emails so this is just going to monitor the personal email that me and my team have set up that we have um subscribed to all of our retailers in a retailer
(36:12) database for their newsletters and it'll monitor for new emails and then ping this channel uh whenever it finds new emails and you may ask why would we do that and because it's a very viable way to do some online Arbitrage uh sourcing and to see what sales are happening right so not every website's going to be viable to Source not every uh email that they send out is going to be viable but you can see just a quick snippet here and see if you want to explore that retailer further and do some additional manual sourcing run them
(36:51) through tactical Arbitrage whatever you want to do for sourcing for that retailer right so like it says Mastermind toys save 20% so maybe Mastermind Toys will be viable to Source um if we have a certain holiday like say if we have Mother's Day or Christmas boxing day we'll we'll start building a database of emails right directly in the server where you could just simply search for that keyword like say boxing day and then it'll show you very quickly all the emails that are in the server that have the keyword Boxing Day in it
(37:25) so you'll be able to see very quickly all the retailers that are running Boxing Day sales so this is something that I encourage everybody to already do personally to build their own email list uh with all the retailers that they would um realistically source for OA but this is just kind of cutting out that work for you and giving you access to all the retailers that we have in our database which is over a thousand so again just another very viable way to do some online Arbitrage sourcing um we've been testing this over
(37:59) the last couple weeks I believe it's pretty much good to go I haven't had any errors over like the last week week and a half so we will be rolling this out really soon and then also there is an idea that we can do a similar idea but for a separate Channel specifically for artists like musicians so that we can subscribe to all their email lists and then have a channel pinged which will give us potential information for new tour dates that are coming up for for tickets um potential merch drops things like that so that's something that we'll probably
(38:41) introduce as well uh once we roll out the retailer deal email uh regular section there okay so any questions so far it's a lot of stuff we just went through no okay cool all righty so then uh there's just a few additional things that I just want to kind of just give General notes of for everybody um and just going to go over a couple uh small little things just in case you weren't aware of how to utilize certain things um we showed a a demo of checking which channels monitor what so again at the top of the conversation if you're unsure
(39:35) of what information is coming into what channel you can just click into the channel see the corresponding um description up at the top of the channel click it and it'll tell you what is being fed into that channel if you don't see that like if you come into the artist Shopify Channel just in case anybody wasn't here you don't see anything like that up top click on the pin messages and if there's a pin message there it's just because it's too long to fit in the description and it'll show you everything that's being
(40:08) monitored for that channel if it's applicable so we went through that um there have been some recent ticket signups that have been posted over the last couple days that I would encourage everybody to sign up for even if you're not big into ticket reselling yourself um so if you come into the ticket selling section and come into ticket calls there was one posted by chokey here a couple days ago about the 2025 Masters and this is like a lottery style entry I would highly I would highly encourage that you sign up
(40:43) for this even if you're not into ticket reselling yourself just because of the high potential resale value if you do get selected it's very rare it's very hard to get selected for the Masters but if you do it will be a very ni payday so I would highly encourage that you sign up for that and I would also highly encourage uh everybody to also sign up for this uh Gracie Adams one that was Gracie Abrams rather that was posted today just in case there are unique uh codes that are being released um if there are ever unique codes that are
(41:17) being released there's always potential that you could sell those codes to some of the ticket resellers that we have in the server so that's why I would just highly encourage that you do sign up for these you know it takes 30 seconds because the potential upside is pretty high um we haven't been seeing a lot of verified fan signups uh recently like we had seen last year um last year we seen quite a few that had really high value like Bad Bunny Adele Taylor Swift um where you sign up for a verified fan code everybody got a unique code if you
(41:49) got selected and you were able to uh either purchase the tickets with those codes yourself or sell those codes to some of the ticket resellers that we have in the server verified fan as far as I know it's kind of seems like it's on the way out it doesn't seem like most artists are doing it anymore um but in the event we ever do get unique codes there's always potential so I would highly encourage that you sign up for all those guys again even if you don't do ticket reselling yourself I would also highly encourage
(42:22) everybody to be signed up for sneakers which is a Nike app and enter in the very profitable drops that we have upcoming um because the way sneakers works is it is a raffle system uh nobody can tell you for sure exactly how it works because we're not Nike but it seems like the more active your account is the more stuff you enter in for the more likely you're able to be the more likely you're going to be chosen for potential drops that happen right and so even if you don't sell sneakers yourself for the stuff that is
(42:58) very profitable I would highly encourage that you enter uh enter in for those like the recent Travis Scotts that we seen uh the upcoming Kobes that um are coming up here uh like these are ones that are coming up on the 6th right now these are selling for like anywhere from like five to like 800 bucks a pair once they drop it'll probably selling for like $500 plus it'll probably relatively easy to um offload these guys and sell them just because they're Kobe shoes they're popular they have good resale value so it's it's very hard to lose on
(43:30) guys like this right so if you're if you're not familiar with how to sign up for sneakers just come into the guide section under support and resources guides and resources open up our getbook that we have here you can click on any link that you like and then under guides under sneaker guides click into the how to get the sneakers app in Canada and this will walk you through how to get the sneakers app in Canada itself because the app isn't actually available in Canada we do have releases on the sneakers Canadian
(44:08) website occasionally uh but most of the releases happen inside the sneakers app so this gives you a good walkthrough on how to download it whether you're on Android or Apple you kind of have to do a little bit of work around in order to get it but it's not too complicated if you need any help with that just let me know but yeah lotss of opportunity to profit with those guys even if you're not going heavy into sneakers um I would still highly encourage that you enter in all those Raffles that are profitable because if you ever do win one it can be
(44:41) a very nice payday especially for some of the very expensive pairs that come up uh a few additional things that I just wanted to ensure that we note before we wrap up is uh we have been seeing some relatively consistent restocks on the signed Taylor Swift CDs um specifically with the Us website so I would highly encourage if you haven't already submit your profiles with Q Montreal which you can find under the release guides um so up somewhere in this channel here about the Taylor Swift restocks uh he is running consistent
(45:18) right up here consistent uh monitoring for these websites for restocks and then um assuming that his Bots are functioning when drops happen and you have your information entering correctly then you actually have good potential of copying some signed uh Records or CDs which are consistently selling for good prices uh we do see the market drop every time new releases come out or additional batch comes out uh but they still stay consistently high and once we see after like a week or so passes the market tends to start increasing again
(45:52) everybody's still obsessed with Taylor Swift they want everything to do with Taylor Swift they're willing to pay a premium for for her sign stuff so it's Nob brainer to get this uh the US side of things you have to submit us addresses so ensure when you submit the form you're submitting a Us address it is shipped to us only so ensure that you get that submitted and again I would encourage everybody to do so because no matter what these are going to be profitable all you have to do is come in here click on the form enter your
(46:24) information and you're good to go and of course if you ever if you ever have any questions you can definitely ask him directly I would also encourage everybody I know that um from what I I've heard from people that quite a few people have been utilizing our private restock monitors uh but if you haven't yet I would highly encourage that you do and again to do that you can see a full walkthr in the bot commands Channel or sorry the command list rather under restock monitors private it gives you a full walkthrough on how to do that right
(47:04) here also a video walkthrough if you prefer a video walkr and again this just allows you to monitor for any of the websites that we support uh for restocks privately so only you're able to see it and then you'll be able to you're able to be notified thly within seconds of products restocking and it's a lot quicker than being notified by like the notification from iherb for their email system or Indigo through their email system a lot of the times I find that those emails don't even come through and we get notified by uh from
(47:37) restocks even before their emails are sent out so I would highly encourage if you do any type of OA if you come across products that may be viable that are out of stock make sure you utilize that it's completely free it's included with your subscription and also I know a lot of you have um but if you don't already I would also highly encourage you to utilize our seller watch bot if you do any type of storefront stocking on Amazon um you can see all my personal threads here because I have many many keepa accounts these are all the ones
(48:10) that I'm personally monitoring my different uh accounts but um you can basically add sellers into there and then get notified on whenever they stock new products so I find the way that it works the best is to storefront stock a store if you find that it's viable go through the entire storefront if you're if you look at it and you say that this is a good storefront add it into your seller watch and then you're going to be notified every hour um if they stock new products okay so then you basically never have to storefront stock that
(48:43) store again for New Opportunities you're sent that information directly in your own private thread um and we are going to be expanding on that again in the future I do have some big plans for seller watch to add some additional features into that it just it takes time for development and for personal time and stuff as well uh we had a question Nathan just says is this recorded I missed the first part definitely uh we definitely record all of our calls and it'll be put up at the end of the session as well so you
(49:14) can uh catch anything that you missed so yeah that just goes over a lot of the things that we've had um going on in the server recently new additions uh upcoming features things of that nature so a lot of stuff going on and yeah if you have any questions about that please let me know and then we can also open it up to a general Q&A as well so if anybody has any questions on their mind wants to discuss anything certainly feel free so any questions comments concerns about anything by anybody from anybody nothing everybody
(50:13) shy how's business in general KB Jaden Drew is anybody here can you hear me am I are you able to hear me or was I not talking this entire time yes we can hear you okay just want to make sure there's nobody saying nothing I'm like oh did I just go through all that for no reason we're here we're here I'm trying to think of a good question but I can't think of anything were you able to start selling any of those uh inflators at all Melanie I listed them on eBay and I sent some into um Amazon so we'll see what happens
(51:16) cool yeah it looks like they sell quite a lot in in Canada so yeah I just never sold anything with the brand on it before but fine yeah in Canada like obviously a lot of people have concerns about competing against the brand when they're on the listing um main concern is one that they might submit IP complaints two is that they'll just completely hog hog the buy box um in Canada obviously we can get IP complaints they do happen um they're just not super common and with that particular listing I also saw a variety
(51:55) of other sellers on that listing over time especially like fbm so I we realistically we shouldn't see any issues with that guy I highly doubt that we would yeah I only sent in six just to test it out and for what we paid for it whatever you know what I mean 100% yeah and like with those guys G honestly you probably have them sold within like a day or two of them actually hitting the warehouse for the volume that they sell I just don't know if I should put them lower than the brand price I I probably wouldn't i' probably
(52:32) just compete with them just to ensure that they don't get pissed off yeah that's yeah that's what I was thinking that camera thing was fun that was like a good jilt it was disappointing that it was disappointing that they canceled but it didn't surprise me I mean you never I know but it was fun yeah it was fun we never know if it'll if it'll go through but that's why I know I said with that one just not get your hope up yeah yeah but still we were all on it we were like yeah yeah and then oh cancelled cancelled yeah but I liked it
(53:06) it was fun would have been really nice if they didn't would have been a nice even if one of them shipped it would have been nice even one of them for someone to have had them shipped 100% those uh tires that I got from uh Amazon us so I only got two of them um because I was on I was of how much they were going to cost to bring over the Border cuz they're so heavy right so I only got two of them uh they ended up costing so on Amazon us they were $45 us and then with the additional shipping fees and crossborder fees um landed to
(53:44) my door they ended up costing I think like $180 each so that seems like a lot what if they go for like six yeah like those tires they they retail for like 600 plus tax or so yeah they're I thought very big tires um I already sold them both I sold them both for 350 each so I sold them for 700 bucks amazing yeah oh I have a question actually what's up with with you know how you said to sign up for um like the Taylor Swift stuff and whatever with a Us address yep where do I get that from like from across border
(54:21) or yeah so um do you currently have like a crossbo pickups account or anything like that no okay I only have stallion at the moment gotcha so I'm not sure if stallion offers a Us address but um any they do but it's I don't know if it's for incoming I know it's for outgoing does that make sense yeah like I you know so like say I send something to Amazon it goes I use their address that they give me and then they send to am Amazon Fulfillment right right is the same kind of idea yeah so like I'm I haven't dealt with stying myself so I'm
(54:57) not sure if they offer ship to Canada I would assume that they do if they do it the other way um but if not if not um I'll post a guide in here so I posted it in the voice chat I can also DM it to you um but it just goes over what a reshipper crossb services so like one that's relatively popular is crossb pickups um all you have to do is just open up any account with them doesn't cost you anything they give you us they give you a Us address immed immediately and then if then you can ship things to that address and then when you actually
(55:31) ship to there and they bring it over the border for you when you actively utilize your service then you pay them for that individual that individual product okay yep and Yeah we actually okay that's cool and it all depending on like weight and size and stuff like that pricewise yeah so if you look at the very bottom of that guide I have a little section that says how to estimate the fees that's specifically for crossb pickups but it applies to basically any other Service as well but yeah it's based on the total how many packages you're
(56:05) bringing over and then how much weight it is to ship it to you if you have one locally that you can pick up from instead of having them ship it to you it'll probably be even better but if you have if you have to have them shipped to you then like I do you want to just ensure you factor that in okay so I'll ask stallion too because they are close like I just go drop my boxes off there so if they have the reverse of that I could do that but I'll sign up for this for sure in the interm yeah I have um in that post that I sent you I actually
(56:35) have stalling on that list so that I would assume that they do okay okay yeah I guess it's just a conversation with me and you Jordan I guess so everybody else just doesn't want to doesn't want to hang out today fck I don't know why geez Robert how's it going I'm yes Robert hello hey hey guys can you hear me I can hear you yep sorry I'm too shy I'm just listening don't be shy how's everything good how about yourself good good restocking for the month of June still uh still a lot to do I see you credit cards are crying I see
(57:26) you've been having some Rec record Breaky months recently yeah man but uh the profits were not really uh record-breaking though so but it's fine so how come you believe that you're I saw I saw your post about your high sales but lower margins so why do you believe your margins kind of went down a little bit yeah I think I got like a little bit more returns than usual and also I got hit with the low inventory fees uh that I didn't manage very well um and I would say another aspect would be that uh I'm on listings that
(58:08) are let's say break even and hoping that I I can like other sellers will will get discouraged and I will stay there so yeah I'm like gambling a little bit fair enough you have you have the volume and I imagine a decent amount of capital that you're able to do that yeah exactly so that's why I'm a little bit gambling with the money so I'm I'm just I guess banking on the points of the credit cards for sure that's that could be a very slippery business model if you try to do that long term yeah I'm trying to live off of cash
(58:46) back and uh MX points I can comfortably say before I switched primarily to whol I was able to basically pay all my bills with cash back that's crazy that's yeah yeah like I I don't have massive bills I don't have massive bills massive bills by all means I live relatively Frugal but yeah like I was able to pay basically everything with cash back mostly from rakuin yeah I miss a little bit rakon cuz I'm more like in a wholesale model right now but but yeah I mean if you if you can spend enough money to uh to stack up those
(59:31) those cash back it's it's crazy 100% I did some shopping at winers thanks to I think it was top cashback or one of those can't remember was it increased cash back for winners yeah it was just like they give you gift cards or whatever so nice $300 gift card can't complain did you use it for yourself personally are for more inventory yep I used it myself good good you have to treat yourself once in a while right 100% 100% yeah Robert's been bothering me all the time sending me pictures of his vacation he's been going on and ask when
(1:00:14) I'm going to go but I haven't yet it's been almost a year I'm I'm begging you to go on vacation more than a year now I know I know it's coming are you going to go to you need a are you going to go to AMZ United Robert um what's that AMZ United it's a wholesale focused show it's like you mentioned that you didn't really like ASD right yeah honestly it was too fishy uh I like people were like all the the people there were they knew that like majority of the buyers were Amazon on Sellers and they just try to push stuff
(1:00:58) on us without having like a full picture of the supply chain right so it's yeah so am like am United like they do have I haven't been there but I've heard a lot about it and like James McConnell the guy who we did the low inventory fee call with he's actually one of the guys that is putting that event on I think this is their second year that they're doing it it's in New Jersey in August um they do have vendors there but not like ASD it's more so focused around uh networking with other Sellers and speakers uh discussing things all around
(1:01:31) uh Amazon and specifically the wholesale model so like a lot of like keynote speakers presentations things like that I've heard it's really good uh Dan went last year Dan and Manish from in here they both said it was really good um I I'm probably like right now probably like an 80% that I probably will go no way and where is it again where did you say it's in New Jersey New Jersey in August yeah 27 yeah I'm just seeing that here yeah honestly I was also looking to another like event the accelerate Amazon event okay I don't know if this is
(1:02:08) another thing that would be interesting for you it's like the official con seller conference event that Amazon does uh every year right when is that honestly it's like I think they give you like a heads up of the new things that they're going to put in uh in the coming year um and also you can I think like this one that the AMZ United you can you can talk with other Sellers and ask questions and stuff like that but I never went so I was thinking to go there to maybe to see yeah do you know when the when the when they're holding
(1:02:50) it I think it's in September I'm not sure I think it's September and [Music] um was on accelerate yeah 2024 yeah uh September 17 and to 19 in Seattle that's interesting that because I've been doing this for what like six seven years now I've never heard of that I don't think I don't think I've ever heard of it yeah I mean I don't know how I I I like I saw it but I think they started doing it like maybe just few years ago like maybe three years or maximum four years ago well yeah send me the details I'd be interested in checking that out because
(1:03:38) I think that'll probably be pretty valuable yeah I'll send you beauty but yeah um with like did you listen to that call from with James con at all were you were you there at all yeah I I started the call I think like I I was there like only the 10 uh first minutes uh cuz I I I put interested but then I forgot I had like uh like something with my friends so I listened to it like the first 10 minutes in my car but then I had to leave to join them robt but yeah I I wanted to check the the video that uh the recap video but
(1:04:26) honestly I'm too lazy I think I got too lazy that's fair it's a long video but no it was it was really good um he's one of the very few people that I actually respect in the Amazon space and so he's very intelligent and so yeah I have no doubt that the conferen that he would put on would be very valuable and info packed yeah and I I think uh I remember he said he had a prep Center as well yeah he has a relatively a relatively large prep Center based in Texas I believe would you suggest to try them or still go with network
(1:05:09) prep um it depends on the volume that you're doing so if you're doing larger volume in the US he'd be the he would probably be a viable option um if you're not doing that much volume yet I don't know that many prep centers myself in the US it's just Network prep I have talked to I really like their systems and I think they would I think they'd be a pretty good way to go but James probably will be able to get your inventory out faster and probably cheaper okay gotcha yeah like he he said something today that they shipped out what was it
(1:05:47) 48 pallets today and he's he's doing that every weekday I I can't imagine what's the process like what's going on in the warehouse cuz just me like in the basement I remember when I had like one shipment of 400 units uh like boxes were everywhere I don't know where the where the units were so I wasn't organized as a prep Center but still managing like multiple sellers I don't know how they do it yeah takes takes a lot of work in a lot of figurine yeah 100% are you still utilizing primarily is it YYZ prep that
(1:06:27) you're utilizing um I'm using two now I'm using YYZ and prep buddies so YYZ more for my um uh wholesale asens and uh prep buddies for like both uh wholesale and OA um so yeah I've been pumping a lot of units there and I've been wondering recently I'm like you know uh what's the limit you know what's the what's the limit of products you can send in because the more volume you do the more problems you have to solve and then I guess the more delegation you have to do so yeah right now I'm I'm let's say I'm uh I'm saturated and just buying I'm
(1:07:16) just buying every day it's pretty tough for me to to do any Prospect how many team members do you have right now still the the only one I told you about one VA okay uh you're not working with Bjorn anymore at all unfortunately unfortunately not CU I think he um he was working full-time with Mike right and then um he tried to work with me part-time it wasn't very successful so he bring in his wife to work with him for me but then again she wasn't as uh good as him and so I just said you know what and he told me I
(1:07:59) sorry man I don't have enough time for you I said it's no problem fair enough so I don't know if he's still working with Mike right now I'm not sure I believe he is I actually uh I talked to him I talked to Bjorn like last week and as far as I know he is yeah oh that's cool I ask one question about prep um at what point did you get a prep Center Robert or anybody was it a certain amount you were bringing in a month only you know yeah in my case uh it's actually the the story about the 400 units uh I shipped in my warehouse I'm not kidding I'm not
(1:08:39) kidding it's been after six six months uh I was like you know what I I can't do it like I'm going to lose my mind and uh I reached out to uh it was called redot prep and and funny thing is the same month that I reach out out to them I quit my job too so I had so much free time like the next month to just like reach out to suppliers to buy new products and stuff but yeah I was just sweeping my floors of all those you know the things that you pull off the poly bags there I I probably just swept up 200 of them like an hour ago so I'm just
(1:09:19) curious as to you know what point it's you know you make the switch I think Jan would say like I don't I don't want to put words in Jan's mouth but uh I think the the best time is when you're doing more prepping than you're sourcing in my opinion yeah that's a good idea and like with prep centers like uh Robert is probably stressing that I'm going to on prep centers because sometimes I do but uh like we we still do everything in house but I have employees that prep but like realistically prep should probably be one of the first things that
(1:09:57) you work to Outsource because it's going to be the easiest thing that you can Outsource whether it's a prep Center or whether you hire somebody um and even hiring somebody like assuming that you have the space and you're comfortable with them in your space it can be very viable not everybody has that luxury but like if you have like a garage or something no I live in a two-bedroom condo so it doesn't work I'm getting close to like bursting over here and that's fair and that that's like a very good argument to utilize something like
(1:10:24) a prep center right um right so yeah like realistically if you can utilize that time better in another task that's going to be more Revenue producing or if you just want to Simply buy back your time then that would be an ideal time to do it um in my opinion and Robert has been an exception to that rule I I believe that like at a certain point um it makes more sense to do prep in house versus having a prep Center I think there's kind of a sweet spot typ havee a prep center it's like when you're growing um so not when you're brand new but when
(1:11:01) you are growing like at a certain point but also not at a certain scale because you can bring it back in house and produce those units for so much cheaper than you are paying a prep Center um but but there are like again there are exceptions like Robert he does very well every single month I mean and he still used a lot of the prep Center I mean you're right at a certain point you're going to uh pay too much money to prep centers but then we don't have we we have to think about uh other things like you're paying much but you're saving
(1:11:35) your you have more I guess more free time to not manage uh employees to not manage the problems that's going to happen in your warehouse and stuff like that so I mean I guess it's you have like two like you have two disadvantage in both uh situation 100% yeah like a prep Center definitely does help things be more hands off for yourself and like it going the the route of a warehouse and employees is not for everybody if you if you don't like managing people and dealing with the the potential problems that do pop up and
(1:12:10) they do pop up all the time but yeah I would also personally prefer myself to put the additional money saving onto our bottom line versus paying that money to a prep Center but again everybody has a different opinion on yeah and also I think you you you're more private like the prep Center never know what they're going to do they know you're like my prep centers I believe they know my suppliers so down the line I don't know what can they do something about it I don't know another thing to think about that's that's true too
(1:12:44) because they're getting your products directly so they have to be TR trusty and exactly that would be a consideration that you have to take with the people that are running your prep Center like I know with all the from YYZ he doesn't sell on Amazon himself at all anymore he used to but he doesn't anymore and I think that's good because it' be a conflict of interest um with the people that run prep buddies I'm not sure if that would be the case and that does open up a big big conflict of interest if that's if they do yeah
(1:13:14) someone did reach out to me that is starting a prep Center in Toronto right and I don't I don't know him from Eve so who knows but we had a long conversation he doesn't he he said he had a place now he's got a bigger place it just seems a little sketchy but not sketchy like he seems young and motivated and I'm like well if you have something in place I'll come take a look at it I want to go there I want to see who this guy is you know what I mean I'm I'm here to hear him out if if he's starting new he he wants to provide
(1:13:54) more to the on seller like better pricing and stuff hear them out I have nothing to lose that way but I would just caution to be very careful with somebody that's brand new that you're not familiar with because I've I've heard horror stories of people sending you asers and them shutting down overnight and then not be able to get their inventory back yeah it's true exactly exactly but you also have to give it to people that they everyone starts somewhere right 100% so yeah definitely at the end of the day you just have to build this trust
(1:14:30) relationship with the person but don't go ham in the beginning just do like test see what's he's going to do exactly no because like you said you have to trust these people they're they know all your information yeah and so far honestly YYZ super uh reactive like he answers really fast and Matt from prep budes so far I've been working with them for more than a year now and yeah he seems very transparent uh when he does a mistake he let he let me know but like Jordan said I think I'm not sure if they're selling
(1:15:12) right now on on on Amazon or his wife is selling or something like that but they used to sell too are they still selling I'm not sure that's that's the another thing yeah and that's just a consideration that you have to have like I you wouldn't think that somebody that's operating a viable business would sacrifice it by trying to screw you over by like taking your suppliers or your products Etc because it's relatively easy to find out if they're doing so um and that's suicide but yeah yeah it would definitely completely screw up
(1:15:45) their business and you wouldn't assume people would do that but again you never know with some people yeah something can happen they like they need money and you know you know know what's going on uh Nathan you asked about the sneaker resell and getting started guide yes I that's on one of my tabs that I have open right now for what I'm actively working on I don't want to tell you exactly when an ETA is to have it available because I did that with the VA guide that I put together and then it ended up being a way bigger project than
(1:16:17) what I thought and took way longer than I was I was thinking and other business and life gets in in the way so I don't want to give you any false expectations but I I would say probably maximum a few weeks but it shouldn't take that long but yes it is being worked on actively just we have so many things that I do with the server and our personal business I can't always give an act an exact ETA for everything unfortunately so Robert with the V that you have any expectations or any aspirations that you're going to be
(1:16:59) expanding at all expanding at all in the near future yeah uh you're going to laugh at me but I'm still I didn't give her the task to help me with the seller board to add the custom code yet I'm still doing it myself why not um but I I'm not sure I didn't check but is there any feature where she can have access without M having to see like the profit yep yeah so I'm pretty I was I was pretty sure it existed but again I got lazy didn't check into that but this is like pretty easy I guess to delegate uh but the the big thing would be to help
(1:17:42) me with um restocking and especially restocking um according to uh the low inventory fee that Amazon calculator in the FBA inventory tab uh yeah I would need maybe some help like maybe if she can because I think we can import an Excel file where it gives us like all the fees or all the products that are getting hit with the fees um and to be honest I don't really have the time to check like to check that myself so maybe that would be the next major task that I would delegate to her are you actively using S Central and
(1:18:25) seller board to restock your inventory or just one or the other yeah so before the inventory fees I was just using seller board and right now I'm using the tab uh the FBA inventory tab where it says um where it gives you like the when you go to details it gives you the the days the restocking days right uh for the 30 the the short and long dates so I'm right now using that but again I don't really like their average what what do they call it the average onand units like the average daily onand units I don't know how they
(1:19:15) calculate that to be honest so when you were utilizing Cellar board um did you ever find that the recommendations that I was giving you for inventory restock was off based on what you wanted to stock or for inventory like say that was new inventory that hadn't hit the warehouse yet or that just hit the warehouse and just started selling that you were getting false recommendations for how many units you should be restocking um so sometimes the restocking recommendation were like crazy like as you you know that sometimes they say
(1:19:56) like restock 200 units when it was just like uh you sold maybe five units really fast in the in one day it says like okay you need a recommendation to restock 200 units so that's why so far again you're going to laugh at me but I I don't really like using these recommendations I I just go through like I'm doing right now what what happened in my last month I go through the the month see how many I sold and and for each as and just restock based on what I know about the seasonality of the product uh and and how many I sold last
(1:20:38) month they're talking about where they say oh recommended 300 where it says on um Seller Central is that what you're talking about or Amazon recommends how many you should restock Amazon I think they can recommend they have like a uh I don't know I don't remember where exactly but when you go to uh inventory planner seller board also recommends um yeah how many you should restock but sometimes it's like it's too much I don't know how they they calculate that to be honest yeah I just do it manual I know seller board um like they have if you
(1:21:20) click into like the the numbers they have their own set what they call like waiting based on like the last s days 14 days 30 days Etc so like your your last 14 days of waiting uh waiting average I believe was like 60% and then your last 30 days was like 30% I don't remember exactly what the numbers were um so I I always found that because I used to utilize seller board uh before we switched to so stocked and I found that quite often with new inventory when it just hit the warehouse and we didn't have prior sales
(1:21:54) history with it if we started selling units immediately then yeah we would have ridiculous um recommendations for how many we should be stocking and like that's one of the main reasons why I switched to seller board at that time or not seller board so stocked um with so stocked they have each they have a period for two days s days 14 days 30 days and 90 days and you can actually like you you can see what your average were per per period and you can turn them on and off on the fly so it adjusts your um your adjusted waiting your
(1:22:33) adjusted um whatever you call it your adjusted sell through rate or whatever they call it and so average yeah yeah so like if if you see like oh I I didn't sell any in the last 90 days because I didn't have any in stock you can either make it so that it defaults that it doesn't factor that in for stock out period or you can turn it off on the fly so then you can you can actually see realistic averages of what you've actually been selling per day on average and you and you can actually click into the inventory on uh so stock directly
(1:23:07) without having to open Seller Central and see how many you actually sold in each weekly period and each monthly period which I really like because I never we never have to open Seller Central that way so it's pretty similar uh then what Seller Central is uh providing us yes it's just more streamlined better UI and way better recommendations yeah did they do any discount on seller stock um the one guy in the public server Joe he works for carbon 6 he mentioned to me that he's going to try to work a deal with uh with them for so
(1:23:47) stock especially if people just want uh access like just the inventory tracker because most of us would probably only utilize that feature uh he hasn't gotten back to me so I will follow up with him to see if he sorted anything out uh Joe end up sorting yeah I'll let you know if he um if he was able to sort anything out because yeah like it is stupid expensive for what it is yeah yeah so how many uh how many VI do you have currently we've been trimming down so at the peak we've had 10 and right now I have six cool cool so six assassin like you
(1:24:42) kept the the best of the best yes m is Bjorn just because of conflict of interest but yeah um with the six that I have now um uh full-time able to produce the same if not more than all 10 were able to do at wow but that's like cutting into everybody's individual process ensuring that everybody is holding their own weight and those that are not willing to then getting for lack of better words getting rid of those people right yeah but yeah like for myself I'm not sure with yourself Robert um how you exactly um manage or Track Performance
(1:25:32) but like with myself I know like when I only had one or two vas it was very difficult to gauge whether or not they were being efficient enough uh when I started getting more vas and seeing like a more variety of uh work ethic workflow Etc it was it was a lot easier to gauge if everybody was doing real realistically what they could be doing right yeah because it's it's hard to gauge what somebody can do based on like your own person yeah because like I can you compared them basically what's that Melody is that how you did you compare
(1:26:07) them basically when you had more of them to see 100% because like you know yeah yeah like comparing them like against myself I don't think is fair because like if cuz you're a beast well well no but it's just like I have a lot more experience than them I'm familiar with the Canadian Market I can like cherry-pick stuff out for like OA sourcing a lot quicker than what they can so like it's hard to like gauge their production versus mine right so once I was able to get more vas and see okay like somebody that is really
(1:26:42) caffeinated while they're working and hauling ass I can really see what they're able to do versus somebody that like you can tell is not really paying attention yeah yeah some people can talk a good game but when it comes to actually performing and presenting results different story for sure yeah I've had a few interesting scenarios with vas as well where I've had I'm very strict with vas about um not bringing in outside information from past employers or giving our information out to anybody else right I don't want information from
(1:27:23) a past employer I don't want their leads their products Etc and I don't I expect them to not take our information give it to anybody else as well right yeah and obviously expect people that when they are clocked in they're going to be working um I've had somebody who started working I set these expectations with people right when they start it's in their contract that they sign when they start with us and we ensure that we talk to them in uh the interview process and when we onboard them indicating all these expectations that we have and then
(1:27:58) uh my VA manager the one day we we just hired somebody and she said um you know I was just checking up on the the screenshots because we have software that uh actively takes screenshots when the employees are working we don't do it for invasion of privacy we just do it in case there's anything that comes up and we only actively check them in the event something comes up or when somebody's brand new and she said that she was just looking through and she seen that this employee was looking at like somebody else's spreadsheet clearly a completely
(1:28:25) different person spreadsheet and was actively like trying to import those leads into our list and so I was like well that's interesting so we pulled uh the the lady into a call and I said I shared my screen so I was like do you want to tell me what this is and she tried like having all kinds of excuses I was like well it's clearly like your old employer's lead spreadsheet that you're trying to like import leads from and she was like oh no like I was just trying to get like ideas on employer or on sources to Source or whatever I was like okay
(1:28:57) well that might be okay but the past people you're working for are us we're Canadian and you're literally taking the exact same leads and putting them into our sheet so I was like I don't think you're just using them for like inspiration on where to source so that was somebody that had to had to be let go within a few hours of them starting whoow whoa whoa yeah and then we've had people um start working and like literally um try to like manipulate the time system and like just set something on their keyboard so like it looks like they're
(1:29:32) active and just walk away and not work like okay like this person indicates that they've worked 20 hours in the past day they produce nothing so I'm like huh that's interesting and then you actually look at their screenshots and they look at the exact same screen for 20 hours I'm like okay cool cool sounds like me in my PR I was going to say that sounds like me in my previous job 10 years ago where you in someone else's business and didn't care that much but when it's your own 100% but yeah on my hand I don't have
(1:30:14) any when you need to go out buy grocery don't have Choice hey uh how many boxes do you need really to have a palette that's going to be dependent on the products so like it depends if you're repacking into multi skew boxes or if you're getting like just um all single skew boxes like from A supplier um like because if you have like say I don't know like um supplement size uh containers or shampoo size containers those you can realistically put like a couple hundred boxes onto a pallet depending on the weight whereas if you
(1:30:53) have like mixed cuu uh multi skew like say Like You Haul uh small boxes you're probably only going to put like depending on weights 20 to 50ish Max oh oh okay I'm nowhere near there I am no because I'm sending up my biggest shipment and because I'm not there I'm we in a different country currently um I'm sending out around 15 boxes I was like I think that was a lot but you're saying 50 to 100 well yeah but it also like it depends on where you are and what uh cour cers you have in your area right so like with me in
(1:31:35) Saskatchewan um like one in Canada we don't have Partners shipping for LTL at all okay so you have to organize your own LTL shipping um me in Saskatchewan I have no viable carriers that would save me money doing LTL shipping somebody in Montreal or Toronto you will definitely have um couriers that are viable and will reduce your shipping cost if you have a a decent amount of weight and you can probably get your shipping cost down to like 10 15 cents a pound whereas like with small parcel delivery you're probably looking at like average of like
(1:32:10) 30 to like 40 50 cents a pound plus depending on your weight like at 15 boxes you're probably going to be maximizing um your shipping cost if they're all like around 50 pounds um so that's probably going to be like the best overall rate you're going to get until you switch to LL yeah that's true and last thing um for instance uh for me I find foring in Canada same way pretty hard I'm do find products but not as much so what I had I do have someone um go into the US drive over stop at the border and um declare declare everything and pay
(1:32:51) taxes those taxes can be uh recouped at the end of the year correct so like if you're paying duties that wouldn't yeah that wouldn't be like an income tax credit that would just be a regular expense you can't just pure claim that back um if you are importing as a business you do have higher limits that you can bring over with the proper paperwork um but I'm not sure exactly what the limitations are okay so it's expense so I have to put it on in in tuugs right that well it depends like you can probably do it either scenario where you just enter in
(1:33:35) as a regular expense or as a cost of goods you can do probably either one but whatever one you do you probably always want to do it that way and don't change it that okay that that should be something you should confirm with an accountant like I would I would recommend that you um ask Carmela in the server here just to confirm but I would probably say that she's probably going to tell you to do that okay yeah but yeah like going to sending products to the US dutyfree uh without doing formal entries you have a limitation of $800 per day
(1:34:12) right bringing it in from uh from the US into Canada I believe the limitation is different uh dutyfree you can bring over as much as you want uh but you just be subjected to pay duties um yeah I know some heavy duties yeah and like you can probably get like a business import account and have higher limitations uh I'm just not sure exactly what those limitations would be okay um the next thing I just went on to my Central and I see that I have like an API a API score now um what does that entails I'm I'm trying
(1:34:50) to Quick Google it but given the fact that I just site I was just wondering um could I have any information on that and how to keep it healthy and on what having an API score uh what does that entails yeah so let me pull up Seller Central here because I believe it should unless they've changed it it should tell you directly in the IPI score what um what is factoring into it it's actually honestly for me it's been a long time since I've really looked at our IPI score cuz as long as you're account is healthy it doesn't really matter that
(1:35:27) much um but let me pull it up here so yeah if you go if you like say you're on seller Central's uh main home screen and you click on the inventory performance index breakdown like that little box at the top there and then you click go to the IPI dashboard you'll see the top three things that influence your IPI so you have excess inventory your sell through rate and your stranded inventory so your excess inventory would be inventory that is considered excessive you have you have multiple months of inventory in stock right and
(1:36:06) then your sell through rate is how much you're actively selling through your inventory every single month so like for example if you have a sell through rate of 12 that means that you're selling through your inventory 12 times per year or once per month right that's a very very very healthy sell through rate for Arbitrage very healthy sell through rate for Arbitrage and wholesale is typically between like 8 to 12ish okay um so if you're below that um it's going to have some negative impacts on you and then also if you have a bunch of um stranded
(1:36:41) inventory as well okay I was just taking to see yeah like before a lot of people would say that IPI score was like a big deal um the US had it a long time before we did I have never seen any evidence since it's come out that it actually as long as a a good IPI like a good your your overall account health is healthy and you're not in the red I haven't seen any evidence that IPI score impacts you in any way it should that is the intention of it but I have never seen that it has so I would just say you know as long
(1:37:30) as you're in the green and your account is healthy you shouldn't really have anything to worry about okay that's that's that's great um the last thing I think um I have a I do fbm where I have a customer asking for all I have a customer asking for a refund but because she said that she found something similar thing in her closet and uh she doesn't want it anymore and I contacted her and I sent her like once I sent her the shipping lab and everything paid for and said okay once that's confirmed that he's been shipped to me then I'll um refund
(1:38:16) her um I don't think if she does not ship it do do I have to refund her given that everything is um uh the message are already in Amazon where they can go and see it yeah no not technically until she attempts to escalate it so like a lot of times you're going to have customers that just want to return things because they don't want it anymore or they found a better price somewhere else so like you can technically charge them a like a more or less a restocking fee so like you don't have to give them a full refund um it can potentially create
(1:38:49) issues if you don't because people can go the route of like submitting like like an a toz claim saying that your products are inauthentic Etc um those are more of a pain in the ass to deal with but yeah like as it sits right now if she hasn't tried to escalate it and she hasn't sent your product back I wouldn't realistically refund her unless it's just a super cheap product that isn't even worth dealing with okay uh thank you that it was a really expensive product I was just wondering given the fact that um we have
(1:39:22) everything in in writing that okay send back the label and she was like okay send a shipping where I created one and send her I just wanted to make sure that um I am in the good yeah like there is only so much that you can do and like there is still always a possibility that she may try to screw you around because like that can definitely happen with customers um especially Amazon customers Amazon customers are very high-end entitled customers in general um so it can and probably will happen to you eventually um so just be just be wary of
(1:40:00) that that you will probably have to deal with some issues in the future um but yeah until something like that happens I would say don't refund her unless it's if it's an expensive product don't refund her unless she tries to escalate it further oh thank you yeah with products like if you are selling stuff that's like really cheap and like not even worth dealing de with in some scenarios it may be easier just to refund the person and just carry on but yeah if it's something expensive definitely want to reconsider that for
(1:40:41) sure so um so sorry to cut you off so are we sporing tonight from the 10 to two I don't think so so Mike was just asking about doing a a call for the the night owls uh I probably won't be doing anything like that tonight but I will definitely be uh willing to book something like that in the near future for sure yeah that sounds good we do have a couple new faces in here that uh I don't believe I've ever spoken to directly on voice uh Bob and Drew how's it going if you guys are here with a mic maybe maybe not looks like Bob is typing no mic
(1:41:34) tonight that's completely fine and Dean I haven't talked to you for a while how's business been hey man business has been doing well right now good where are you at now because I know now numbers uh I mean I just crossed 20K last month I know it's not a big deal but uh I'm trying to to learn and just like make sure that my process is going well but right now I'm pretty getting a hang of it and uh I'm pretty much better at sourcing than I was uh couple months ago so it's all progress 100% I'm selling the US the US was way
(1:42:22) quicker to cross 20K us but Canada was really hard but with all your help that I had and the questions and everything I feel that if I increase my spends that I can blow past my numbers is just because the I'm probably just spending like three to 5K per month it's not a lot I could spend more but really picky with my buys and making sure that I'm keep getting enough stock because of the new uh low inventory fee so I'm really making sure that I'm focusing on my better selling products just to make sure that I'm keeping uh
(1:43:06) you know the threshold appropriately but uh so far I'm I'm really satisfied with what I'm doing but uh I expect to do better numbers because the curve is just getting higher every month so so far so good that's good and I mean don't downplay that like you say like you just cross 20K it's not a big deal like it's definitely a milestone right like everybody has to cross at some point and it's not like it's not a big deal um I mean for myself it took me quite a while to hit 20K so I mean don't downplay it it's definitely an
(1:43:42) accomplishment yeah yeah no it's just I'm seeing Rob and and you just doing the bigger number so it's just I hope to get there one day but I know right now it's just like you know baby steps but now so far this is going good and I'm still selling a little bit of eBay too that's been going well I forgot to tell you I sold um you remember the the steam deck yep I sold that to a guy in Tokyo that was pretty crazy nice did you make a decent so like H yeah yeah I did make a decent profit I made 450 bucks nice yeah no it was was one of your
(1:44:27) leads so that was great it took two weeks to ship I was kind of worried at first I was like is it gonna you know pass through customs is somebody going to sell uh sto steal it you know what I mean with all the horror stories I'm I'm hearing with the people with stalk kicks and you know like people sell stealing the the bags there the the designer bags y so I was like you can see I could see like like on the shipping label the the actual title of the item and I was like I'm sing this over there it's like almost
(1:45:00) $1,600 I'm like this is this is a big deal 100% I had insur I had like a small insurance on it I don't remember what it was but I was just like I just hope this this goes over there and everything goes fine but no the product sold and I got the payout so I was like that's cool yeah and that's that's super good to hear um yeah like there definitely are things that can and do happen but I actually find like it's quite rare like I think most people in general are good honest people uh occasionally you will definitely come across some
(1:45:36) that try to do some stuff but as long as you do everything that you can to protect yourself I mean usually the the the risk that you have is relatively limited like you mentioned you had insurance on it I would always recommend having on like expensive packages ensuring that you require signature stuff like that just to help protect yourself and then like obviously people can try to indicate like they didn't receive it whatever but eBay is honestly like pretty good with working with the seller it's very opposite to Amazon and
(1:46:12) like they will actually work with you and if you did everything you were supposed to do it's a lot less likely they will attempt to pull the money back from you yeah no and I also saw that the the seller had you I mean the buyer had reviews and it was like actually legit so he was he was like a like a Japanese video game collector or something like that because it was an exclusive product too right so so I was like I was pretty much uh sure everything was going to go well so it did so but yeah that's was for eBay I mean eBay I learned a lot how
(1:46:48) to sell there too with with all your help with and the Discord so no everything's going good man excellent so when you when you mentioned you cross 20K so is that 20K in a month or lifetime oh yeah life so yeah I was averaging like about like I don't know like like 3K months since like January but like it was I had one month that inventory got sold a lot and I was struggling to ship cuz I'm probably shipping like two two to 300 units uh per month an average but yeah know it's like right now I think I'm like at
(1:47:30) almost 25k but like I crossed 20K last month and I'm already like almost like onek for the the month and like like I mean the month is just starting so it's like I'm telling you like the the process is is getting there and I'm and I'm pretty much you know the experience is kicking in and the key keep a sh reading and everything's going going well but yeah know I just C 20K last last month so 20 almost 25k right now I don't know specific yeah and yeah like so if you look at that so uh Danny one of our staff members in in the server here he's
(1:48:15) he's a pretty young guy he's 19 and he's selling on Amazon he works a couple jobs he sells on Best Buy and all kinds of stuff um he like I think he just recently had I believe it was a 30k month what that he posted and like I was talking to Danny and like a couple months ago when he had like a 25 30k month he like his actual net profit from that was like I think it was like5 $6,000 and he was like he was kind of like oh like you know like it's not super good I was like man you have to realize that like5 $6,000 profit is more
(1:48:51) than most people like uh make at a regular like 9 to5 job right so like yeah like no you're you're probably not going to be taking that out and giving you that giving yourself that wage because you want to grow your business but when you think about like how much money you're actually bringing in profit wise and you actually put that perspective to other other stuff about like just somebody working at the bank or working at McDonald's it's it's it's a massive difference exactly no I know what you mean cuz I'm all I'm always looking to
(1:49:20) make sure I'm doing like 30 30% margin you know so like when you look at you know the net profit like I I know and I'm also using a what's it what's it called again a solell s board I'm using that too so I can monitor and see like how much you know I'm doing and I'm also making sure that I'm taking account of every like you know poly bags tape you know all the material and making sure that I'm bringing you know like like a net profit like positive at the end of the month so I'm I'm I'm working you know the numbers
(1:49:56) and it all makes sense so like you said like I'm expecting like like last mon it was I did 6K month a 6K month which you know it was my best month L but uh you know like I know I'm doing decent profit you know so it's just going to keep getting better every month like from what I'm doing right now so I'm just going to keep going 100% and like that's exactly like I think the process that everybody really takes right so Robert I I hope you don't mind that I I share but like I remember I just like I always just mentioned
(1:50:34) because I know like it was probably like a couple years ago or like at least a year plus ago um Robert had messaged me stressing about the amount of money he had he was going to be owing on his credit card and it was nowhere near what it is now and I'm like like you know what you're doing you're going to be completely fine like do you mind me sharing that Robert yeah yeah of course so yeah I mean uh go ahead go ahead oh no if you want to say it from your perspective certainly feel free I think I messaged you multiple
(1:51:03) times so I don't know which story you're going to tell but go well I I just remember like uh I think do you remind me like saying how much it was yeah of course so I I believe this was a while like quite a while ago he had you messaged me stressing that he owed I think it was like 30 grand on your credit card or something and you were stress and uh I've been talking to him for a long time and like you could see like he was really growing consistently he was making good purchasing decisions he was understanding what he was doing and then
(1:51:35) we had conversations about like how do you grow how do you how do you get past plateaus and like at a certain point you either have to get more money from outside source so whether you're leveraging loans credit investors Etc and most people are probably going to go the the route to either a loan or probably credit and credit can be scary because it's Hefty interest and most people if you haven't leverage credit heavily before it's it can be pretty scary like you hear uh horror stories about people having massive credit card
(1:52:07) bills and going in massive debt and so he was stressed that he was wasn't going to be able to pay his credit card and we discussed like what he did how many how much time he has uh his his knowledge with his prior shipments that he was doing I'm like yeah like if you've been doing it right like you're going to be fine like worst case scenario you might have to owe what one month's worth of interest but you're going to be absolutely fine and he ended up being absolutely fine yeah and what happened I think it was during Q4 of my first year
(1:52:34) and during that time Amazon is like overloaded so the the payouts are uh less quick than usual so that's what happened to uh but let's say I I I cut up to it and I just stopped spending and waited until I got my money but yeah but going through that though like because you weren't used to doing that and now um You probably leverage a lot more than that every single month and you don't even bat an ey I would imagine yeah to be honest so far uh I also kept because before I was going u a little bit crazy let's say I was like re
(1:53:16) injecting all the profit like to the to the penny everything back and now uh of course I my spending power is way way way bigger than init than when I started but also I'm playing it safer in a way that I keep at least like a safety net in case Amazon like in case the same situation happens where Amazon is going to slow down with the payment or stuff like that at least I have enough to pay the credit cards now yeah well that's good and you're and you're doing it smartly um but yeah like I like with Dean like I
(1:53:55) believe like your process like you may seem you may think like it's insignificant but like realistically I believe everybody kind of go through the same process that you go through and if you do go through all those all those steps and you're learning you're slowly growing um instead of just like coming out of like coming out of the gate and just trying to just throw hundreds of thousands of dollars out of out of nowhere without knowing what you're doing you're doing it the way that's more sustainable you're going to learn
(1:54:20) more um you're going to grow more organically and you're probably going to build a more long-term sustainable business yeah cuz I'm just like using like 5K like my last month was probably my biggest spend and it was like I was like spending 5K for the first time and I was like damn this is you know it's it was you know like I guess for somebody who who's not used to spend you know like that you know a lot but I mean it was it was good to see that with my payout and everything and you know I'm also working too so I know that I'm going to pay my
(1:54:57) bills so I I managed to pay off my my statement and I was good but like you said if if I were like to go and get like a line of credit or something like that like at that point you have to like calculate and you like like do like calculate risk and make sure that you're not going to pay too much interest just to make sure that you you're still profitable you know and you're not in depth to make sure as well that you're doing smart buying decisions too you know 100% And yeah like as you get more comfortable things and you learn the
(1:55:28) systems more you can obviously take more risk and leverage credit as long as you're doing it intelligently um but yeah like as long as you do it smartly like that can be a very viable way to grow once you have things down you're more comfortable you're not as nervous but again like at a certain point when you're spending that much money you're probably going to your first time you ever spend 10 grand in a day you're like oh my God I don't know what I'm going to do I went through I went through the same thing like I was
(1:55:54) going to have a heart attack and now just it's it's you get numb pretty fast you get numb pretty fast 100% you all you all all your money no but yeah like the very first time I had a I think the largest purchase that I had where I was like getting nervous was a $10,000 purchase order from a wholesale supplier and it was one like I was trying to act like a big dog to the supply and I'm like I'm trying to like I got a super solid account I was talking a lot of to to try to get good discounts it was going good put together
(1:56:31) a large Pur order I was like oh once I put it together I was like oh my God it's $10,000 like I've never spent that much money before uh and yeah I was definitely stressed but uh products came sent them in sold them got my money back and it was okay rinse and repeat yep I heard some somewhere uh when you feel uncomfortable when you're spending it's where it's when you are growing so 100% I think that's like with anything in life if you're actually uncomfortable with whatever you're doing that's when you know you're actually doing something
(1:57:03) worthwhile that you're actually growing if you're just if you're just comfortable and complacent then you're just doing the same thing you're probably not growing or learning much yeah exactly yep oh but that's super good to hear um with the US so what made you want to get into start selling in the US uh like I said the first time it was like just I was just navigating some free discords and stuff like that so I just finished with the the used book route but right now I'm I'm pretty much just like doing mostly Canadian I'm
(1:57:42) still doing it over there just a little bit just because the profit margins are so high and so you know so good and it's also helping me with my cash flow as well but I mean I mostly want to do Canadian now just because I just like how fast-paced it is and just like how fast I can you know turn my money so for sure it was just how I begin after that I found your Discord and then it was just like I just you know try to focus can Canada but it was hard at first CU like I didn't know about all like the the impute tax credit and all of those
(1:58:19) you know those perks you know so I was kind of lost at first I man I went to to a bunch of Discord you know screaming for help and I managed to find like one guy from Canada there like the crypto goon and he gave me like a like a like an article about it and I found it but the people in there were all us so I just left that group and then after that I found your group and then I mostly you know it's kind of home it's it's mostly Canadian so I'm I'm more comfortable you know on on the Discord and just like selling in Canada just I'm
(1:58:56) doing all prep in house as well so I'm kind of in control of what I'm doing like you you were telling at the beginning of the conversation there so maybe down the road if I'm doing big numbers like you guys may I consider a prep Center here in Canada but right now I'm saving a lot of money just doing it in house especially that I'm just doing it you know low low volume for the moment but Canada is my main focus I guess but still doing a little us but not that much right on yeah crypto crypto goon that's uh I believe that's Rahul I
(1:59:34) believe Robert is friends with Rahul yeah yeah really great guy I went with him actually to the ASD last March yeah it was the first time I met him in real life really really great guy honestly respectable guy yeah I was screaming in Discord I was like is anybody here from Canada and nobody answered and it was like nobody's from us yeah the guy from the from the server said like I know this guy here and he just post me the link but then I was still lost because I was still answering question to people and everybody was ghosting me so I was
(2:00:10) like you know what it is what when you're new so I you're just answering like Noob questions and just like you don't know what you're actually doing so you know but once I went and Jordan server then after that it was so helpful especially with Carmela and everybody so yep were you gonna say something there Robert yeah I just wanted to say so crypto answered some of your questions is that right yeah so I was like asking uh you know for selling like I I wanted to know like if everybody was saying it in Canada and then he was like yes and I
(2:00:55) and I and I didn't know where I read about the imput tax credit but I I didn't know about the actual you know the actual sentence so I was like is there a way that I can like have like a TA Advantage because I know in us they have like you know like free uh tax free states and stuff like that but in Canada like where we at like pay paying 15% you know it's it's so high and the margins were so low and I was struggling to find profitable products and it was so hard but I did manage to find some but like you know what I mean like it's it's kind
(2:01:29) of hard but right now after I asked the question and he sent me just an article about it and then I said Thank you then I went into the the DM and he just ghosted me but a good guy ghosted me I mean I wanted to say I wasn't surprised that he helped you honestly yeah I know he was nice there but I was do you sell products in at Shoppers and you know Walmart it was just like so such a generic question I guess it was just like yeah this gu a new probably just gonna last a week no no he's he was certainly feel yeah yeah I do I mean anywhere on
(2:02:10) Twitter even I receive message sometime and I is it a bot you don't know like I have like a an avatar people might think you know like this guy's not serious G gonna have to give a for ghosting you no no let's keep this conversation I'm gonna share this this video to to him oh it's all being recorded it's all being recorded if if you're listening I I know you you're good guy GNA clip that second out yeah exactly that's funny yeah yeah no yeah that was last year yeah yeah that's good man I'm happy to hear everything's going good for you
(2:03:02) yeah no happy so far so good you've been helpful too so thank you very much of course definitely Jordan like what you said about being uncomfortable about getting to that next level I think that's where I'm at I'm scared to like spend too much and then kind of like what you and Robert were talking to but on a smaller scale because after you know my stint in Amazon jail it's left me a little gunshot yeah um yeah so I I hit 10K this month we're aiming for 15 20 NE for June but I'm scared to like spend so much but I know
(2:03:47) I have to to get there yep well it's good I mean you're all doing very good you came back relatively quickly that's kind of surprising because you were so nervous about doing anything so it's good to see that you're not that nervous to spend money no yeah I like spending money it's fun I like making it I like making it back which is funner of course um but yeah so no I I have to I have to get to the next Plateau right that's all that's all I can do I guess yeah like a lot of people I know everybody is always relatively
(2:04:29) spooked with Amazon about getting random shutdowns like what happened with yourself but like thankfully even though it happened with you it's very rare that it happens like that typically when they do happen if it's something that is if you're not actually doing something to screw Amazon and you get shut down randomly for no reason it's typically you get your account back within 24 to 72 hours yourself that's extremely you said what happened to me yeah that's ridiculous definitely the exception to the rule the fact that I
(2:05:07) hung on is is in itself a feat yes it is because that was it that was ridiculous but just but then as you I guess I was determined yeah but also as you prog your account um those types of things are also less prone to happen as you have better and better metrics it's a lot less likely you get random suspensions or even like even if you have like an an authenticity complaint or IP complaints it takes a lot more for your account to get suspended when you have better metrics do you think it influence both all the markets so let's
(2:05:44) say you sell like a lot in Canada and then you want to sell in USA do do they take into account your your Canadian Health do you think I would assume so you know my health was fine which is weird I don't I don't think that Health that little green thing that says whatever it is when you first start 200 and then 204 and 208 whatever goes to that does not matter they could shut you down at any point for anything and you have to prove yourself innocent cuz they're saying you're guilty no matter what you've done and we know I didn't do
(2:06:17) anything wrong so I don't know it's weird they have their own court of law Jordan knows what ended at the end with the with with the account Health thing though is like once you're at I don't remember what the threshold is I want to say it's like 350 or 400 you're supposed to get more whatever they call it preferential treatment where you get you actually get a option to talk to an account health specialist you you get a button to call them directly oh really it's at 250 Jordan and you have to keep that for six
(2:06:51) months okay 250 is for the insurance or the Assurance I don't know how yeah the insurance thing yeah the insurance okay and and they give you the the call button okay yeah and then what's supposed to happen what they said like because that's that's still a relatively new feature like that that's only been introduced like within like the last year or so um it's supposed to be when you have that that in the event anything actually happens that could potentially impact your account they're supposed to actually reach out to to you first
(2:07:22) before anything happens so not saying that it's going to happen like that it's going to be perfect but it's at least Amazon making an effort to prevent random suspensions and stuff from happening yeah yeah I can give like an experience about the account specialist like uh I had one or two um uh complaints for authenticity where honestly it was everything was legit supplyer was legit uh I gave everything thing they wanted but still I was receiving rejection so was that the one you told me about Robert the one where
(2:07:58) you kept getting exactly this one and I had another one after that the same situation exactly so what happened is I called like every day I was calling the specialist to understand the issue and at one time like when I I submitted literally everything they asked the specialist himself told me okay look honestly you you submitted everything I don't understand what's the issue here so uh they asked for a second investigation and uh so yeah after two weeks like magically the complaint got uh went went away but this happened two
(2:08:37) time like two time for two different asens so it's a good thing because it's I feel like they have some kind of power to like change this the decision of the investigation team I don't I don't know what goes on over there Jordan knows who I emailed to get my account back Melanie talk but I didn't know what melie I don't know what happened on your and I was worried like you were talking about your story Melanie and I don't know how you survived I think I would have I wouldn't slept for like two months in your in
(2:09:14) your I didn't I did not sleep I didn't sleep trust me I didn't sleep I was I was haven't done anything I know that's that's the worst thing out of it all but Jordan knows that I uh I emailed not knowingly Jeff basos oh really and that's how I got my account back yeah but I didn't know I did it well yeah because like I I was it's public it's it's public that you can email Jeff amazon.
(2:09:48) com and it's apparently Jeff Bezos and so she she was told by she was told by somebody that she should email this email this email address I was like you realize they gave me two yeah I like email address I had no idea somebody answered no but my account was back like within a day what well yeah I've always I've always heard that when you email Jeff like he actually reads his emails he won't may not respond to you but he actually looks through stuff probably him and probably like an actual team team of people but yeah yeah like it that may have influenced
(2:10:27) it h that's that's I did not know I was actually emailing Jeff Bezos of Amazon I just thought this guy was like a manager of the internal I didn't know who I was emailing I just at that point I didn't care so yeah so you got reinstated but they never responded to your email yep interesting interesting interesting yeah yeah I woke up one morning it was like Christmas morning they said you've been reactivated it was literally a day or two after I sent that email very interesting we don't apologize either by the way for shutting
(2:11:09) you down for three months for no reason of course that's yeah that's a SC birth yeah I'm glad you got your comeback um oh thank you yeah one point everyone keep your record straight yeah at one point do you guys um lose the emotional um connection I wouldn't say emotional connection but not feel attached to an Asing especially when you tested it and it tested um like you sell too fast and then you when you went deep like um a lot of person jumps on the listings and then the price for instance say you have a 50% Roi and then the price goes down so
(2:11:53) so so fast like you're like what the hell is going on how do you what at what point did you guys stop or feeling that connection to it so if you guys for me I would say like the sooner you're able to disconnect from that and not get emotional over those things that you can't control the better your life is going to be because those are things that you can't control whatsoever right and it's just the nature of the business so if it's something that you sit there and worry about or get frustrated or angry about it's just going to ruin your
(2:12:29) day for no reason um I know it can be very frustrating and it can be annoying but it's the nature of the game so for myself I got disconnected from that relatively quickly because I realized that if I was spending my time focusing on stuff like that I'd probably go crazy so yeah like everybody else may have a different opinion but that's what I would recommend yeah cuz was it was like I'm like do you know if you stay at this price you're selling true pretty fast regardless but everybody is just like the price is just going down down down
(2:13:10) down I'm like people you got to be kidding me but you also have to consider a few things okay so one you can't assume everybody is going to know what they're doing two it is very possible that another person like even if you you come across an item where it's like the price is being killed and like you you look at the item and you assume that nobody's making money it is a real possibility that somebody else has found that product cheaper than you even if you think that is not the case that's imposs that can definitely happen even if you're buying
(2:13:48) it from A supplier and you think that oh I'm getting the best price there is no chances are somebody could probably get it for cheaper than you because they may have bigger economies of scale and no matter what if you talk to a supplier and you would ask them for a discount and they say we don't give discounts I guarantee you if you come and you drop 50,000 or 100 Grand on one on one order they're going to tell you yes we offer discounts right so there there's things like that you don't know if the inventory has been stolen that's that's
(2:14:17) a big thing that's a huge industry where people steal inventory install it on Amazon on it's hard to beat those margins um you don't know if people are just trying to clear out their inventory and also like if you come across like say my storefront and you're trying to compete with me I have a very I have a very my repricer set very aggressive okay so generally speaking most of the time it'll play very nicely with most people and be price competitive but for some listings it will not let you dominate the buy box at all and it will
(2:14:51) consistently kill the price until you quit and it's done like that for a reason because I want to discourage other people from coming on that listing and it works as shitty as it sounds it works because I can I know that I can probably Outlast most people that are going to try to compete with me so I will Contin continuously piss them off and lower the price until they leave and don't come back and then I'll increase my price again yeah I can bet you're one of the persons that I I yeah but I just need to get my souring
(2:15:26) up see how much I can get at a lower cost with certain things but that that's just for me personally especially when like for me as I said I'm trying to disconnect but when you test something for me when I test something and I'm like okay this are really fast and I test it again with a higher with a higher um quantity and it sells out and I'm like okay maybe I should go deep and I spend maybe a 3,000 3,000 4,000 right and like there are some big companies jump on I'm like Jesus Christ yeah that's just me well and yeah
(2:16:05) I mean we're all going to experience that but that's just part of the game right and like I realistically anything to do with business as tough as it sounds I would recommend to try to not get emotional for anything with business as much as possible it'll make your life a whole lot easier I know it's easier say than done but the more the easier the quicker you implement it the easier your life will be yeah that's true and yeah like a lot of those items like if you see items and like this is why so a lot of people will
(2:16:36) say you'll hear a lot of people talk about okay when I buy an item what do I do if the price starts being killed and you'll hear a lot of people recommend that oh maybe you should just hold off see if the price recovers and they're just trying to to they're trying to get a couple extra dollars of profit out of that item this is why I never recommend that because the especially like the the Arbitrage model even even with some wholesale but especially Arbitrage model um there is a lot of the first to act is going to do
(2:17:09) the best the quicker you are with online Arbitrage the better you're going to do the more profitable you're going to be um and there's a lot of price tanking no matter what kind of listings you get right the the higher barrier of Entry the product is the more paining the asset is to ship the harder it is to obtain the harder it is to find the more viable it's going to be for a longer period of time but most products are not like that most products are relatively easy to find and if you have somebody storefront stocking you
(2:17:38) which is like the lowest barrier of Entry when it comes to online Arbitrage everybody does it it's the lowest hanging fruit so as like I say if that's your primary way of sourcing um you shouldn't be surprised that when you hop on a product that a bunch of other people hop on that product right away as well because it's just like such a low barri low barri of Entry Way of sourcing right but so to get back to my point uh people will say well maybe you should just hold on to it and wait to see what happens for me I would rather set my
(2:18:08) repricer to be very aggressive up until like basically my break even point to keep lowering the price to keep following the person who's lowering the price so I can ensure I'm consistently selling that inventory and that I can just sell out of it before the price tanks to a point where it's no longer profitable I don't want to hold on to an item for multiple months at a time to maybe earn an extra dollar or two right I would rather sell out of it get as much money that I put into it out as I possibly can sometimes
(2:18:40) at a small loss most time not as if you're if you're aggressive enough most of the time you can get out of it before you start losing money and then put that money into better inventory and rinse and repeat that's my personal philosophy well I I just learn something I just just Lear something I was like oh let me just wait and see and maybe give it a day or or a week and then I when I look at the listing the the price will maybe move from 100 to like a 90 and I'm like no I need to get a get my stock out as POS
(2:19:22) soon as possible so maybe while I was waiting I could have maybe sell three four units right and because you had that mindset of wanting to wait you probably lost potential profit right so I'm not saying that you shouldn't ever have that mindset because there's going to be listings where it's like very clear that the price always fluctuates you can see the history and history tends to repeat itself so it's like okay here it sells for $24 quite often for about a month or two or like say a couple weeks we see it dip
(2:19:54) down to 18 but then after like a week we always see it recover to 24 it's been doing that consistently for the last year so that tells me that it will probably continue to do so unless the person that's dropping the price just comes on the listing with a massive amount of inventory but if they haven't been doing that over the last year chances are they're probably not going to change it now right so when things like that yeah probably makes more sense to wait but generally probably most of the listings that you're looking at are
(2:20:22) probably not like that they're probably just starting to die and they will continue to decrease in price up until the the supply and demand uh adjusts itself right when there's more Supply than there is demand you're going to see the price decrease when there's more demand than there is Supply you're going to see the price increase that's just how it works solid really solid but yeah like it's honestly um it is fairly basic economics when it comes down to it like that's just how the marketplace Works Amazon does definitely
(2:21:09) attempt to push prices down as much as possible to give customers lower and lower prices um but we don't have to play that game and that's why we try to find the products that are profitable and sell them for as long as we can not get married to anything get get and then get out of them when they're no longer profitable and find new inventory and always be sourcing that's the name of the game a lot of people also say like um I I heard a lot of people a lot of gurus say oh you need to consistently be looking for replans only look for
(2:21:41) replans that's a bunch of you don't know if something's going to be a replen until you actually sell it and you have no idea how long it's going to be replenishable for I I actually sell some items today that I've been selling since I've pretty much since I've started and that's been like what six years that's extremely rare but I do have a couple products I've been selling for basically that entire time but they're extremely hard to find and they're extremely pain in the ass to deal with so very rare that other people
(2:22:10) want to want to do that uh majority of my catalog if I look at my my catalog from the same time last year I would bet that probably I probably say like 80 to 90% of my catalog is completely different and it's consistently changing because products are changing markets are changing we're finding different products we're getting access to different suppliers so I would never say get married to anything so are you doing mostly um uh OA that's the reason why it's changing no so so much the reason why my main catalog has Chang CH so much from
(2:22:51) this time last year is because we have been transitioning heavy back into wholesale um but that's the main reason why it's such a different catalog but if I look from now until like this time next year I would probably bet like probably like upwards of like 50% of my catalog will probably be different than what it is today yeah because I also a good chunk of my catalog today probably probably like at least 40% of my catalog today are products that I would consider like opportunity buys where it's like I'm buying them once and I'm probably never
(2:23:32) going to buy them again they make sense right now because they're on sale or a clear out or it's it's an item that I'm testing that I probably will never send back in So when you started have you so you started just with oi uh I mean what what I mean with my question is like let's say maybe three years when you started or or two years you haven't found like any like distributor where the pro because usually wholesale the the asens tend to tank less so they tend to you keep them more in your catalog but you haven't really found like uh a lot of
(2:24:09) these asens throughout the years so there are some that have stayed consistent but so if we look at some of the early Distributors that I looked at most most of my early Distributors were Beauty Distributors okay so one of them I've discussed with you like some of them are like the biggest multinational Beauty distributors in Canada and North America and so a lot has changed for those products when it comes to Amazon like if you look at products just recently like American Crew got completely shut down you no way oh yeah
(2:24:45) I didn't know yeah like if you don't sell American Crew like you can't now and like that has happened a lot because of the ingredients no because of brand restrictions and I assume probably deals the brands are making directly with Amazon okay okay same with Paul Mitchell did you hear of that one too Jordan Paul Mitchell I haven't seen shut down yeah I got I got an email interesting I'll have to look at that but yeah I mean it's it's also I I found that in the past like year Amazon is just shutting it's not just the brand
(2:25:21) but Amazon is shutting down shutting down a lot of beauty products so personally that's why I uh I never really I mean maybe in the beginning I think like everyone when they started like beauty product is like a super good to start with cuz the margins are great and it's like super light products but I don't know personally uh I I don't really like Pur products anymore so just because yeah even with all the trouble I've had I still really like the beauty category so the margins aren't realistically most margins aren't
(2:25:57) crazy there are some that are like good bundles where it's like for a wholesale item like these these items profit a ton but most of them like they're not that crazy for margins but they sell really good volume especially for Canada right and they're very consistent um and most of them like they are relatively price consistent but like so most of my early products were from beauty Distributors like when I look at those types of products and there have been a lot of issues over the years so whether it's like the overall brand gatings
(2:26:28) there have been like a couple other brands where like I've told stories before where like I got stuck with like 10 grand a product I'm basically first remember like similar situation um so there's a lot that changes in that industry when it comes to Amazon because I believe a lot of these Brands they are making deals Direct with Amazon and they're trying to protect their own brand value because like when I the reason why I started with beauty products is because when I was younger uh my sister was a journeyman hair
(2:27:05) stylist she opened a salon I was helping her with that Etc that's how I got into it um a lot of those Brands they talked about a long time ago that they're always trying to protect their brands if you see it online it's always fake all this they're they're talking about like a but they're trying to protect their brand value but when it comes to Amazon that's very difficult to do but now these very large Brands they're starting to make deals directly with Amazon where they're basically becoming exclusive with Amazon so that you're not
(2:27:34) able to sell them right yeah and they're doing that specifically to protect their brand values to not decrease the overall Market of their products so that customers don't say oh well why would I go why would I go to salon spend $30 on a ball of shampoo why I could buy it at Amazon for 20 yeah yeah because then their Salon customers are not going to want to carry that brand anymore because they're like you're me because I can't compete with Amazon and my customers don't want to buy the stuff from here they buy the stuff from Amazon
(2:28:07) instead yeah it makes sense but yeah there's still a lot of opportunity when it comes to the beauty category for a lot of Brands you just have to be C cognant cognant however you say it about the ones that are starting to crack down on those things because you know when a salon sells a product say a shampoo whatever brand it is their markup is 100% oh yeah I know so and that's to the customer so why can't a customer just go to Amazon it's more convenient anyway it's going to be the same price even from a third party
(2:28:46) seller right but when we look at most of but so if you look at like say a multinational distributor like Cosmo Prof or ESP so say Cosmo Prof because like they carry like uh American Crew Paul Mitchell all kinds of stuff right so if they're talking to their Salon customer and the salon customer is complaining that so I'm buying this Paul Mitchell shampoo from Cosmo Prof for $20 and I expect to sell it in my salon for 40 but my customer can go buy that product on Amazon for 25 so why why is that and when you talk to Cosmo bro who
(2:29:24) I'm pretty sure is the exclusive distributor of American Crew may maybe I'd have to check the other Distributors they might be they do have some exclusive Brands they do have some exclusive brand so say they're the only person that sells this brand so they that that Salon customer knows that Amazon is getting it through them or the brand directly or who's ever selling on Amazon so it's like well how come why AR you giving me a better price or why why are my customers able to buy it for cheaper on Amazon for or for basically
(2:29:55) the same price that I buy it from you from you're going to all of a sudden have a lot of pissed off customers that are you're you're going to have to deal with and a lot of those customers are probably going to leave you and like Cosmo Prof like maybe probably Amazon does a lot more business with Cosmo than a lot of the the independent salons but that's not what their business was built around and they still probably want those customers right and they don't want to piss them off it was the same thing in the tanning
(2:30:21) industry with tanning lotions like Australian Gold and uh whatever the other ones were uh designer something we we did tanning and salons and stuff too like they had the same aspirations to do that because you could buy Tanny lotion way cheaper online than you could from a salon right try to look for those same Tanny lotions online now you can't find them for cheaper than the salon because they actually we always thought they were full of that they were just blowing smoke like out of their ass but they actually crack down on it and you can't
(2:30:55) find that stuff cheaper online anymore cuz they don't want to throw away their brick and mortar customers Designer Skin that's the one oh yeah yeah and Cosmo never implemented any uh map price not specifically there are certain brands that may have it if you inquire but they don't specifically tell you at least my rep doesn't tell me that you have to have any map pricing but like there was a brand for example like a long time ago quite quite a few years ago one of the first accounts that I had was a beauty brand
(2:31:46) they were based in the US and they had distributors in Canada so I thought I was doing good because I contacted the brand directly and they're like yeah we'll ship it to you directly in Canada like cool and I was trying to work my way in to get like exclusive with them because I'm like I'm telling them I'm an Amazon Seller I'm like you know you guys like you have people on here that are just up the listing they're charging less than your map um so let me help you fix Canada cuz like you guys are doing good in the
(2:32:18) States you have some exclusive sellers in the states let me help you in Canada uh but they just let it run wild for too long and they never tried to work with me to lock it down so we couldn't do a whole lot with that um but they had strict they had strict minimum advertised price in but they never enforced it um then one of the major distributors in Canada got that brand and that's how I actually opened that account is because they contacted me because the brand gave them my name cuz I was buying their product so they phone
(2:32:51) me and they say oh um you're you're buying this product let us open an account with you here you go and again they had Maps too for the exact same brand but they were never enforced so yeah different brands and different distributors have different ways of going about it if you buy stuff from like Purity Life if you're not if you're not meeting their requirements you're you're going to get locked out of buying stuff from period life like they're like they're like they're like the lowest hanging fruit when it comes
(2:33:16) to distributor but they're really good at keeping their supply chain in line yeah that's true uh but when you bought from the USA it it was it like uh uh following the regulation of Canada like with the French label and everything no it was not cuz I got I got uh I got screwed like that too like basically almost the same thing I saw like a beauty product that was selling very well in the US contacted the brand direct asked them if I could sell in the US first because I knew about the the regulation they told me no but you but
(2:34:02) you can sell it in Canada took a chance bought like I think like maybe 3K I knew the risks and then eventually the listing got shut down and I had to just give it like for charity so just last 3 did it get shut down due to Health Canada regulations or because of the bilingual packaging no I think it got shut down for uh for like the ingredient and stuff but anyways I couldn't I couldn't like I wasn't sure if it was really the like the ingredients were really not following any uh regulation but you know I mean I never
(2:34:40) uh was able to reactivate any of these listings so when they got shut down most beauty products like you may end up getting um notifications on your account due to like they're missing npns or like they need to be registered with health Canada um most beauty products don't need that designation of an npn like they don't qualify for an npn so like those are pain the ass to get reinstated but the bilingual packaging like that's actually relatively easy to get around because you can technically just translate it
(2:35:12) print out a new label and put that on with both with both languages on it would you need to update the the yes 100% And if you're not the brand owner how do you do that cuz if the brand is registered I mean chances are the ones that you're looking at probably are not registered most brands most of those Brands like in Canada are not registered uh but yeah you will come across that from time to time where you can't uh but the ones that you can then obviously you can otherwise you have to try to go through the brand which if
(2:35:45) they're not Amazon sellers or they're not willing to work with you then good luck yeah and most of them are not even aware that the there's a listing active in Canada yeah so in that case like you're probably fine to be able to make changes like I find sometimes it crosses Market places from the US but I typically speaking like they're basically wide open and like they're not even listed under under the same as yeah but yeah so like with that being said uh long story long I still like the beauty category because it's still very
(2:36:30) consistent you it's very rare that you'll see products tank it is relatively high volume um there are lower margins but it is still relatively high volume um so I still like it even with the problems that it comes with it's just you have to really be on your toes with stuff and if you communicate with your supplier that you are an Amazon Seller I've I've done this ever since my first mistake they actively tell me they tell me if they know of issues that are coming down the road yeah you you have to stop selling this
(2:37:08) brand yeah I don't take any risk now uh like since a long time ago initially I was like scared because I knew that sellers Amazon sellers were not didn't have a good the repetition but I'm just um yeah I'm just like pretty transparent with that now I find it's the best way to go it's going to create the mo the least amount of friction and the least amount of issues and you're going to have an actual long-term sustainable relationship yeah 100% why do Amazon sellers have such a bad rap I will give you like when it comes
(2:37:46) to I will give you a good example so I talked to a supplier a a couple months ago brand new Prospect and so we have a conversation that I I don't open the conversation that oh hey I'm an Amazon Seller can I see your catalog I talk to them we have we have a good conversation talk about their products what we're potentially interested in how I found them Etc and then it comes open to the conversation oh like so where do you guys sell Okay cool so like we are primarily online retailers we sell through platforms including Amazon I
(2:38:21) always say Walmart and stuff even though I don't s through Walmart I just try to sound professional um and so okay and so but I also say to him right before he's even able to tell me I also saw on your site that it indicates that you guys don't sell to Amazon sellers he's like oh yeah so we put that there because we've had bad experiences we do sell Amazon sellers but we put that there so we don't have to deal with people that are rock kickers essentially so he said that uh just not that long ago talked to a
(2:38:53) person who said that they were an Amazon Seller and sounded like they knew what they were doing professional got a catalog they say yeah we're going to contact you play some orders my team will be in contact whatever and he's like they just ghosted me never heard from them again he like we deal with that all the time when it comes to people with Amazon sellers it's like that's why we put that there that's why Amazon sters have such a bad rap cuz they're it's a low barrier of business and because of that you have people that
(2:39:22) don't know how to conduct business contacting these people and these are people that come from traditional businesses and they don't they have no aspirations to have their time wasted which is what a lot of these people do makes sense no it does actually because there's you know a lot of people they're picking up the phone they're making these calls they don't really know what they're looking for they may have seen a distributor on a side of the truck but they don't know what they like they've done they haven't done the research
(2:39:58) right so I I can see how that happens yeah and like I mean realistically all sellers have to start somewhere so like there's no shame in you being brand new starting with wholesale but like you can't if you have absolutely no idea what you're doing there is a point where like yeah you can quote unquote fake it till you make it but you have have to have something to back it up if you're going to try to do that and do it successfully whether it's like you have some knowledge of the industry or you're willing to actually
(2:40:27) spend a good amount of money and you can Source this catalog and you will get back to them with it by the end of the week like you tell them that you're going to instead of a few months later you have to be able to back up something right you can also if you're already dealing with other Distributors if references helps a lot 100% And also so I've used other Distributors to play off other Distributors to gain additional discounts like they were sing the same thing yeah so I say okay prime example Beauty Distributors
(2:41:05) so I've used Distributors for this so you have an account with Cosmo Prof you have an account with modern Beauty okay so I'm opening an account with modern Beauty and they're already aware that I have an account with Cosmo Prof so I'm like okay cool we have the catalog we're looking through some stuff putting together a purchase order so you sell a lot of stuff that Cosmo Prof sells so this is what I'm willing to spend for my initial po uh it's a good amount of money and you also sell this product that Cosmo Prof sells so like say the
(2:41:34) list of price is 12 bucks and say with a Cosmo Prof discount we would get 15% off of that so 12 bucks minus 15% so that bring the cost down to 1020 so the very first time I place a purchase order with them this is a very high volume product that I wanted but I wanted to not pay 1020 per unit so I say okay I buy this product from Cosmo Prof I will buy it from you if you match their price but I told them my price is $9 a unit instead of 1020 they're like oh yeah we can do that no problem I'm like nice I was happy that they didn't ask
(2:42:10) for proof that I was paying that much but like in that case I think they were just stoked to open account with somebody placing such a large initial purchase order right yeah yeah like yeah that's fine and when you open an account with a distributor let's say you didn't go through the brand first uh how do you make sure that the distributor is legit that like can be difficult in some situations so like I do like a lot of searching on Google Maps to like see if I can actually see their location their warehouse their storefront
(2:42:46) Etc if they don't have one like you're looking on places like trust advisor looking up reviews um not all Distributors you're going to find especially like really old school ones so the ones that you can't find I like to have a really good conversation with them and I just kind of like I try to have a casual conversation while just like throwing in like random questions that I feel like only people that are really in the business would know how to answer so whether it's questions about certain brands or or limits or Freight
(2:43:18) or whatever and just ensuring I don't get any any red flags from them and then if I'm still uncertain I would typically want my at least my first order to be placed via credit card just for that initial protection for the first order even if they say like they charge an additional like 2% or 3% fee for a credit card I'll like I'll pay my first order through credit card I just want to Ure we get everything everything's cool yeah and but then when you receive the product you check like if it's legit or I mean cuz in my head honestly my my way to
(2:43:56) make sure that the supplier is legit is just to call the brand I call the brand I'm like hey this distributor uh XYZ is selling your products is he an authorized distributor I just go like that I don't know if you do it too I actually as simplistic as that sounds I haven't just just because why I do that is because even though the supplier may may uh sell legit stuff I always want to make sure that like me personally I prefer that they buy directly from the obviously from the brand because I know some suppliers like they buy from
(2:44:38) another supplier which is like the point of reference of the brand in the in in the country sometimes right and I know that like when we when it comes to like multiple chain when you have to prove it to Amazon maybe Amazon will be sketched out but I still do have suppliers that buy from suppliers and this supplier buys from the brand right but still and no like you're doing you're definitely doing things the proper way like that's really good proper train of custody so like it'd be very hard for Amazon to deny anything when it
(2:45:17) comes to like authenticity complaints or your your regular chain of custody right I would say that some of the places like I never encourage anybody to buy from anywhere like they're they are not sure about or that they have red flags about yeah um some of the places that I buy from they are 100% legit um but I don't there are definitely some places that don't buy from the brand direct and there have been some places that I've bought from in the past I don't currently now but they're more so like close out places so
(2:45:52) like they buy stuff like in bulk from stores retailers even Distributors Costco places like that that are doing Closeouts and liquidations um those can be a lot more difficult to get proper documentation for yeah and honestly most of these were found in ASD to be honest they all look like not all but like most of them look like Closeouts but because I was asking the question okay you have like a 100 in stock can I order 200 uh you know he's like ah we're not sure if you have it how are you not sure you can just you
(2:46:30) know you can just buy more you know you can just back order it right and um and also like like I swear like maybe like 60 or or maybe 80% of people were like yeah join this WhatsApp group or telegram group we're sending like lists like I I was like just freaked out I like um I I don't know I was like I was I was a little bit disappointed because everyone was like saying like ASD is this this place where you can you're going to find gold yeah you can find really really really good deals but at what cost you know at the end of the day
(2:47:05) at the cost of your account maybe yeah like I suppose yeah that's why I don't do that I'm too scared like those liquidation than you I think no I suppose it depends on like I the the vendors right because like there definitely would be more large multi-national vendors there not just closo people but you may just have skipped past them or not been able to find them yeah I mean it's super huge so yeah of course we I'm sure there there there were there were some of them like I can I can pretty much uh say that they are
(2:47:44) legit just because when we T we told them we're Amazon sellers they just like blocked us and I saw their their brands were pretty good but you have to you have to dig you have to dig and I mean it's it's pretty uh tiring like it's super super huge you're confused you don't know where you're going it's like a it's like a maze honestly right but it was a nice experience for sure yeah that isn't a place that I've been I would like to go just to experience it and see what it's about but yeah I've never been to ASD
(2:48:19) yeah um do you have a lot local uh trade shows that come up sometimes no we like we do have a few throughout the year um nothing really that crazy none that I would really spend much time attending we do have some that may be worth it but no not really I'm not really I'm not really in a big Hub yeah yeah I'm I'm with you I think with so far I've been to three trade shows let's say the three weren't the most successful but it's a nice opportunity to speak with people for me uh I got more lucky with cold calling
(2:49:03) yeah so how many Distributors are you actively purchasing from now a lot a lot uh I don't have the exact number but I mean pretty much most of my catalog is uh is distributed computers only uh I don't know where if I can find a list but I have like more than I would say more than 10 or 15 Distributors right now [Music] um but uh I found one thing I found with Amazon is that even though you're 100% sure your distributor is legit if they don't have any online presence pretty tough uh sometimes Amazon uh is going to
(2:49:47) request more information uh from you just so they can remove the complaints on your account that's like one thing I don't really like about because the same kind of complaints if I receive them from Walmart let's say or Best Buy from where I bought them from they're going to accept them directly so this is something I noticed recently is that sometimes Amazon just because they don't have any online presence they're going to say okay look uh we can't uh ver your supplier please provide us with your supplier supplier invoice and then
(2:50:24) this like it's another ball game cuz it's you try to talk with your sales rep you try to explain the situation and then you know sales rep is like it's like it's an awkward it's an awkward conversation to have with your sales rep you know I don't really I don't know I don't want to know what you're doing from where you're buying or stuff like that but at the same time I needed to continue doing with business with with you you know right it's a it's a funny conversation but uh there have been times that I'm quite certain Amazon has
(2:50:58) actually reached out to the suppliers like they they asked for supplier information it's like oh they're never going to call them I'm pretty sure did they already did they did that with you in the past like and they called for real yes you're lucky because every time they say we're trying to reach out the supplier they never do I call the surprise has anyone called you no nobody called yeah but a lot of times like they'll call a number that's on the invoice it'll be like their main hel line and then like that helpl line won't
(2:51:30) give them any information so you have to try to finesse Amazon to actually call your sales rep yeah and do you like send in your appeal the fullone number because I don't think they accept that they want like the phone number to be found on the invoice or like on the Internet or somewhere where you can't like influence them really right so I always try to ask in in scenarios like that if the sales rep or the company can put the sales rep information directly on the invoice so you don't care of Steve and here's his phone number yeah
(2:52:08) do you know what they ask what do you mean like what Amazon yeah I do not know I would imagine they're just asking about the actual company and that you're actually doing business with them but I I'm not 100% yeah yeah so what is your monthly spend now Robert oh man honestly honestly oh my goodness um I said I'm going to limit myself to 180,000 but it's been like uh yeah I'm close honestly it's crazy I'm close to like $10,000 per [Laughter] day yeah that's that's uh I mean thank God for the one thank God for the credit
(2:53:14) cards and two uh the snowball effect effect uh Green Day it's is Real by the way Snowball Effect is crazy if you are able to um to buy profitable inventory and re-inject the money and do that consistently uh your spending power will will like exponentially grow so yeah words of wisdom so being that you said that so um my brother he him and his girlfriend had sold an Amazon uh like Peak Co for a bit like selling like used video games whatever they asked for my help and they wanted to get started and they made a
(2:54:04) decent amount of money just buy and use video games consoles stuff like that because he was interested in it and uh they got lazy and stopped after probably like a year and like they were doing quite well so it was like it very disappointing but whatever they did what they wanted to do um but now they're looking into because his girlfriend potentially because she's indigenous has a potential to get a a grant for like $100,000 for a business loan and it doesn't have to be paid back if certain criteria is met and you
(2:54:39) actually show that the business is profitable a certain Mount within so many years so I'm like you guys would be stupid if you didn't take that opportunity cuz you basically $100,000 for free like that's insane wow and so uh we were looking at this the other day and I was like showing them like how if you actually compounded that for the entire year and so like kind of like similar to that Twitter post that I I posted a while ago that shows like how you can compound your money um with $100,000 you start with that if you're
(2:55:10) able to turn over your inventory six months in that year and you average a 20% Roi which is very reasonable it may be difficult to turn over uh to turn over six times if you've just getting started because I that's a lot of product um but they have they have all the facilities at their disposal it's like my brother has worked for me so like he's familiar with the process they have access to my warehouse if they want so like they have everything that they would need to make it very easy compared to most people and
(2:55:41) so we did the calculation and if they compounded that six times throughout the year didn't take any money out that $100,000 at the end of the year is going to be almost 300 Grand like you can make two 200 Grand like that's like very reasonable numbers and expectations if you do it properly that's yeah and this is only the first year yeah second you do it the second year with everything don't take anything out it compounds even ranker and keeps getting bigger and bigger I'm surprised that your brother is not doing that like he he wasn't
(2:56:14) doing that uh I think because your father is doing is too am I correct yeah my dad sells on Amazon he's been selling for like probably like he probably started like six months after I did yeah and your brother didn't follow the same path no so like my brother is older than me so I'm I'm the youngest of six kids my brother uh how old would he be I think he's like probably like 10ish years older than me he's kind of a kind of a degenerate so he's not really good with technology no he's just like a dgen like he'd rather like drink and do drugs and
(2:56:57) like that right so yeah so he's just bit of a degenerate and um yeah has full opportunity to do it so I mean we we'll we'll see if we'll see what comes of it but yeah and you'll be there to guide him to to a point I've already guided him a bunch and then he just quits so that's always yeah one one concern I'm I'm seeing is if he uses your Warehouse aren't you scared that Amazon links both of your accounts no I have no concern with that whatsoever yeah I guess I guess Jordan good day by the way as long as you get 10% of the 100K I
(2:57:42) mean as as part of you them using your services whether it's packaging or prepping you're good right yeah then it's a it's a win-win yeah no but like uh Robert like so early on I used my like I went from packing in my condo to my parents house uh so taking over my mom's living room to her garage and so for like a long period of time uh I was operating on the same Wi-Fi connection as my dad as anybody else else that um we showed in the meantime so like uh my brother I showed him how to sell my brother's friend uh a friend of mine and at one
(2:58:28) point like they were all we they were all connected to the same internet connection so I just made it clear to everybody that they are probably linked account wise for sure but um as long as nobody screws around and nobody gets suspended we should all be fine so nobody oh my God nobody screw we're all we're all fine my God I I would freak out honestly I I mean you don't have any control with what other people like the the due diligence that other people can do you know well they just know they know I'll break their legs
(2:59:03) so and do you think there you're still linked to them most likely but the only one that's still selling is my dad so oh okay that's a good thing at least but see at least they were quits right but I also think like I also think it's interesting because so I want to say like early on my dad got suspended and I want to say within that time we were linked in some way like I would have definitely been connected to his Wi-Fi connection at some point I believe and like when he first started like I don't the PlayStation yeah remote the PlayStation
(2:59:38) controller I don't I don't remember how long he was selling for one that happened but he got suspended and nothing ever happened to my account yeah another mystery of Amazon honestly you never know 100% but yeah somebody somebody was talking to me I think it was kale not that long ago about asking about like somebody that he knew was asking about um their friends buying their products and leaving them reviews and stuff like that um my brother 100% my brother when he first started selling he had the same idea with his friend and so his friend
(3:00:19) bought some products from him and before like he Tri he attempted to leave a review for my brother and Amazon blocked his ability to leave him a review they they wouldn't even let him and it just said like you were linked to this account in some way and it wouldn't allow him to leave a review for my brother so thank God that you didn't get anything more right but like they were obviously linked somehow right yeah yeah I feel like even when I sleep Amazon is watching me like so I don't know they're watching me
(3:00:51) uh through the my camera lands when I open the The Seller Central app 100% I don't know what do you think Alex what do you think Alexa does yeah they're Gathering all the data so I try to to be polite when I speak to Amazon with my with my family or my sister or my parents Good Karma but yeah I mean realistically Amazon's one of the biggest technology companies in the world of course that's what they're doing to build a a profile on you as a customer yeah even like um I had one friend that did the same thing that he
(3:01:34) did like a private label and he was like hey Robert uh please leave me a leave me a review and I'll give you the product for free but I was like you know I'm too paranoid like I I can give you the money for the product but I won't buy it I can ask somebody else to buy it but yeah I'm not I'm not you remember when I got the suspended for my affiliate account yes never doing any nothing sketch with any with my friends no more yeah yeah like I don't know like I don't I wouldn't say I'm loose with my account but I'm also like I don't have as high
(3:02:14) of a concern because I have two disconnected accounts right yeah yeah I remember obviously like I still have that concern but like it's not like it's going to be the end of the world for me if one gets suspended yeah I understand um do you think it's a good I should do it too or we should do it too no I do not yeah every time I I get like scared I always come back to you to recfor me no but like having a having a second like disconnected account it's kind of a pain in the ass and like unless you have like an absolute need for it I don't
(3:02:55) think it's worth it and like like I say I don't think most people's um thoughts about like how how easy it is to get suspended on Amazon I don't think like it's actually realized like I don't think that I don't think that's real Melanie is an exception but like most of the time um it it doesn't happen really real istically majority of time when you would when somebody were to get suspended it's because you actually did something and the other the other time the other 1% that it happens and it's a mistake 99% of the time when
(3:03:31) that happens you'll be reinstated within 24 to 72 hours Melanie was just an exception to the rule my God cuz I'm so special obviously we we do have this little um it's a group chat that started for I think it's 10 of us that were suspended around the same time and then we just as people get reinstated we boot them out and we let other people in it's actually good because you can when it happens to you you feel like your world is ended so if you could speak to someone that it's happened to that they've gotten out of it it's just
(3:04:11) it's like a support group so to speak yeah but like you know people have done some stuff where they've bought a product from eBay and now they're selling it on Amazon they got suspended well what do you think's GNA happen did they get so even if they buy from yet not yet how closly Jordan do you think they like guide the Amazon to buying W Prime and then reselling like they say you bought something a year ago and you just had it in stock or like 6 months I mean obviously they probably if they want they can ask you for invoices and
(3:04:52) then you're like screwed I guess at that point cuz you don't have don't have any other place to show you B from so but I wonder how I just like I doubt like so I guess it depends on the establishment of your account so like if you have really good metrics I don't think if you got quote unquote busted once for doing that you would get shut down necessarily um I don't think it's necessarily like manipulating Amazon systems like so I wouldn't probably consider it a massive offense but I wouldn't consider it like I I just wouldn't say it'd be worth
(3:05:28) it like I wouldn't even attempt it yeah at the end of the day you have to check like what's the profit you're going to win is it worth it sometimes I I get paranoid I'm like okay there's two units in my inventory this this product I'm not sure if I got it from legit supplier I just I just like take the loss and remove the inventory from my catalog and yeah like so like obviously like the lifetime potential profit from your account is probably substantially higher from whatever you're doing um unless you just like don't care
(3:06:06) um there was I think it was probably probably 2020 2021 um before we were at a point where we are now I had an opportunity to uh travel elsewhere in Canada buy some products from somebody locally um and sell them on Amazon for what I expected to be a very Hefty profit I was expecting the profit to be about $30,000 and the buy the buy cost I believe was like under $4,000 uh but there's obviously substantial risks with that because I was buying it from a person I was pretty sure it was it was definitely not not something that
(3:06:49) was counterfeit it definitely wasn't something that was stolen it was it was a food item not not expired anything so like very shelf stable whatever um but like if I were to be asked for an invoice for that particular product um I probably would not have been able to provide it like realistically Amazon probably would not have accepted the handwritten invoice that I got from this person um but at that time the potential profit I was making from that from that deal was good enough for me to say that it was worth it um I made I made the
(3:07:23) risk assessment that's like okay it's a food item it's nobody's probably going to complain that's inauthentic that like almost never happens return returns are next to nothing so I'm like yeah I'll do this if it was like Pokemon you know that's how I got shut down right on a food item anyway Gohan yeah but I I don't think like section three things were a big thing back then um oh yeah that's true but yeah like if it was like Pokemon cards or something I probably wouldn't have done it just because the expectation of having to produce
(3:07:55) receipts was probably a lot higher if it was Pokemon cards and this was like in the beginning of your journey well this is probably like two years in yeah so like I wasn't like I wasn't serious I don't I don't think I I either didn't quit my job yet or I may have just quit my job but to me the potential risk was worth the profit that was I was able to make it's like a is it like a th% profit it was a lot that's where we w we go somewhere and we rent the U-Haul truck we get the products we prep in the U-Haul truck we
(3:08:38) drop off the boxes directly at UPS and then we go back home yeah this is like co uh covid era I this is PECO yes yeah oh my goodness I wish I was selling on Amazon yeah me too well Co is what caused me to quit my job that's what made my sales pop off everybody else was getting fired and then my sales just went stupid and that's what I was like yeah I need to quit like this is I need I need to spend more time doing this we're we're doing to good yeah were you selling swimming pools at all cuz swimming pools were
(3:09:22) huge during that time like it was ridiculous I didn't sell a single swimming pool no no chlorine no this was more in the US then maybe oh maybe and yeah I was basically but pools they were at a stock here too my friend runs a pool company and he they they it was impossible to get a pool even from them that's crazy I also heard hair clips hair clippers were going like crazy oh that's a good one I think that's like when uh the rezy resell videos came out where like he's buying stuff from CCO and selling them on like fbm Amazon is it the Lego video
(3:10:10) I'm not sure I I did see a video when uh I think when it was Pete covid where he was like reselling like wall wall air Clippers oh okay yeah yeah I'm curious Jordan do you ever do any like broader economic metrics tracking in terms of overall sales in volume and tracking quarter to quarter year to year month to month and just you know are you able to identify like oh yeah this squatter definitely seems slower in general due to economic you know expand and downturn or you know with potentially you know changes
(3:10:51) happening in the market whether it's interest or whatever you might see an up like have you ever done such a macroeconomic study and I mean it I guess it's not significant enough to affect your buying decisions so to a point um not specifically like to determine it from outside factors because like it's very rare that we have quarters where one quarter has done less than the prior quarter like outside of Q4 right we've we it's not like we're growing 70 80% year-over-year but we are we are growing very consistently every single year and
(3:11:37) we haven't slowed down so I haven't like I haven't looked at it to compare like say oh this is the reason why this is happening um but I definitely do compare numbers quarter to quarter and year over year for sure I mean I guess it's also tough cuz you can't necessarily we're not selling Apples to Apples every single quarter we're evolving with the market demands right so I mean some quarters you as we realize we're going you're like okay let's focus more on groceries or vice versa right so I guess that plays a
(3:12:11) factor too as to what categories you sell into perhaps or you know overall I guess margins is I mean you have your targets so you're always going to try to sell towards those targets at the end of the day kind of like we do have I do have goals we do have targets uh we do have monthly spend goals um I obviously we put together plans at the beginning of the year or end of the prior year of what we want to accomplish the following year um but like when it comes to Market adjustment I've always been heavy into categories that I would
(3:12:49) consider Recession Proof very consumable items everyday items that's people are going to buy regardless if we're in recession or not so I don't really see me transitioning a whole lot from the categories that we're selling Like I Do I Do sell in every category but my bread and butter has always been and I just kind of I didn't do it intentionally it's just kind of how I started I realistically when I started selling mostly like transitioning from books I went heavy into like Retail Arbitrage and just buying from like places like
(3:13:26) Costco so yeah I I'm going heavy into like Grocery and I just kind of always stuck with it and to me it just always afterwards after thinking about it it just always seemed like more viable uh I've never steered away from Toys Electronics stuff like that I still sell those things it's just I've always been heavier into what I would call Recession Proof items yeah it makes sense and I mean do you see any benefit for us I mean you know to Target sometimes seasonal products like I'm like do people predict high enough like I would say Now's the Time
(3:14:09) where you start almost thinking about hey what are you buying for I don't know obviously you're past the ging season now now you're more in I would say what summer pool stuff which might be even too late and like when do you example start planning for back to school when do you you know start to decide hey what inventory to buy when do you actually buy ship it in i' be you know I wonder if people have created a work back plan sometimes right to some of this seal stuff probably like the ones that are very heavy into seasonal stuff like you
(3:14:43) have to plan multiple months in advance get your inventory and be able to get it shipped there basically as the season starts or as it Peaks at least um preferably as it starts so like say for example if we're prepping for Halloween which is in October we're probably sending in inventory to Amazon to ensure it's received because people are going to really start buying Halloween candy like say end of September start of October so we probably want our inventory to hit the warehouse and be received probably start to Mid September
(3:15:18) so we're probably going to be sending it in to ensure everything's checked in about a month prior right and then we we always have to plan our purchasing and shipping before that and like I think seasonal items can be extremely viable like there's people that do very well on seasonal items but again I've never specifically focused on seasonal items it's still a part of our catalog but it's a very small part of our catalog but again like there's as they say there's million ways you can skin a cat you can do you can do it any way that
(3:15:55) you want just because I don't do it this way doesn't mean somebody else can't that's the seasonal items it depends also like you know what you have sold potentially maybe in the past and you have a good wholesale supplier and you know the Easy by year over year maybe right when it comes down to example Christmas you know certain toys and Serv suppliers ends up being you know an area which otherwise you wouldn't even bother because maybe from a keeper pricing perspective you know that in Q4 Christmas time is when the
(3:16:27) price is are sustainable enough for it now to be a profitable product right I guess it goes down to just your keepa history yeah and your general your general knowledge about that season and what is potentially viable in that season because if you start looking at products right now um like a lot of weed killers a lot of um growth enhancement stuff um fertilizers stuff like that a lot of that stuff is kind of getting right into peak season right now and it's going to probably be good until like start I'd probably say it's going to start stop
(3:17:06) peaking like start of a start to Mid of August right and then also right now you start looking at sunscreens sunscreens are starting to Peak right now and so those are good things that you should have gotten into probably about a month or so ago and then when we get into Canyon season if you you probably be viable start looking at jars Lids cany Lids pectin stuff like that all that stuff will do good in the season and if you start looking at that stuff now you'll look at the prior price history and you'll see right when the season
(3:17:38) starts super profitable volume starts getting crazy price starts coming down not as profitable but volume ramps up stays like that until season starts dropping off and then the season drops off we start having more and more sellers less and less sales and then the item is basically dead for the rest of the year it's that pattern is almost identical for every actual seasonal item I guess with season all items it's almost uh keeping track of keepa knowing your history even making price changes when it comes so even if you have a
(3:18:17) bunch in inventory cuz the last thing you want to do is be CAU holding the bag right for sure and that's where my philosophy comes in about me being aggressive with my pricing so regardless of when we sent inventory in I know I'm going to be price competitive basically till the bottom without me having to tend to our inventory right again everybody probably has a different philosophy of how they want to do things but that is how I'd prefer to do things so like if I'm getting into a sunscreen right now and the selling price of the
(3:18:59) sunscreen right now is 30 bucks our buy cost is I don't know $8 that's a realistic scenario right now we can profit I don't know say $12 on this product right now by the time I get into the warehouse it's fully received my Pro my profits probably realistically going to be like 10 to 11 and we're going to see a consistent steady decline so I'm going to set my repricer very aggressive to be consistently price competitive and it's going to follow that price up until my break even until I actually manually have to review it and that's going to
(3:19:34) ensure that I'm able to sell those products and sell them at a profitable rate as long as I can even when they're starting to die and they're only profiting me a dollar when I previously expected to profit 10 I'm going I'm starting get out of it at that point so I'd rather take that dollar then hold on to it and have to wait to sell it until the following year to be profitable I want to get that cash flow back and get into other products I can spend that money better elsewhere versus having to store hey georan what do you think uh
(3:20:10) about um the low inventory fee that M was talking about about not getting they're not GNA RI yeah so uh that's one thing I like about having these communities is I honestly I didn't even pay attention whether or not we got refunded or not so I'm happy he's brought it up because I haven't even looked at it at all um but I see no scenario that we don't get refunded because there wording was very clear that we will get refunded for all the fees that we incur in that time period exactly it it wasn't specific about any
(3:20:51) certain circumstances that we get refunded because this is a trans transitional period and they're trying to get us used to these new fees so we're going to show you what we're going to charge you're going to get that money back and we're going to prepare you for when you start getting charge these fees exactly so there was no confusion in how they phrased it no I think either the person was misinformed or or we have to have some seller push back to get that overturned because that's not right that's pretty much lying to their
(3:21:29) to their Partners 100% And it's important that enough people know about it and start bringing it to attention via cases Seller Support Etc so that it actually seems like a bit of a Ruckus is happening if people just disregard it don't play to it nothing's going to happen cuz they said that they're going to reimburse us uh did they say when when they going to reimburse us did they say like the 31st of May I don't recall exactly when it was let's see if we can find the post because maybe maybe it it wasn't at that
(3:22:05) date that they were going to give us the money back but I don't know so far like I haven't received anything they'll just use minus it as a credit against some of your fees who know I mean IDE it should show up as a negative so so yeah maybe they going to do that it says on April 1 the the Fulfillment by Amazon low inventory fee went into effect and we announced any low inventory level fees charged in April would be credited back we're extending this transition period through May 14th by May 31st you'll be accredited back for any low inventory
(3:22:47) level fees incurred between April 1st and May 14th okay so there's no like uh there's no confusion about it whatsoever no confusion no there's no reason why we would not get refunded those fees so we're the 3r of June but we past 31st of May and they haven't sent us anything yet it should have been at a minimum assessed and refunded by today because they reassess they do the assessment every Monday so maybe tomorrow morning potentially we'll see but if and if not then like I'm going to reach out to a few people that
(3:23:36) like to make a Ruckus and can actually uh make a Ruckus about things but then everybody else needs to actually contact actively contact support asking about this like the the person that is super active in the forums I think he's called like J part two oh no I don't know who that I don't know who that is but yes you gotta get them on board I never pay attention to the forums there's a bunch of people that just about things all the time yeah I just like it's just the uh it's a catchy they put catchy titles like I got I got uh account deactivation
(3:24:12) stuff like that I click on it and there's always like J part two who answers everything more than the The Seller Support of course I think most people in the forms are is there just to complain about stuff and not actually have any solutions yeah if I if I went by that I would have never got my account back that that place is depressing if you start reading that Robert stay away I don't know if there's an option I can just remove the the window but uh because there there was a a big a pretty big situation with the fbm and
(3:24:52) and um I think P later I don't know if you were aware of it what happened like uh about um P later like they delivered the stuff to the cl to the customers but through the I I never really did fbm so I don't know how it works exactly but I think you have to put in the tracking number of your uh transporter and there was like a some kind of glitch like during like uh a twoe period where the tracking number uh on Amazon said not deliver but ultimately it was delivered when you checked on Pur later website so a lot of
(3:25:35) people like huge sell big sellers got hit with like I think it's odr they got hit like with the their odr got uh got hit right and yeah so they were talking about it in the forums and like no like Melanie said nobody was uh giving a obviously like things with Amazon especially when it comes to your account uh they have to be taken seriously but like whenever something something major happens or like there's an issue across the board or like these new inventory fees get introduced there's no point of like sitting there and absolutely stress to
(3:26:16) know about this stuff because I mean if things happen they're going to happen you have to deal with them as they come but if it's something that's very drastic like we saw with these low inventory fees you see that obviously changes happen right or like people start getting um massive uh quotes for shipping via UPS like oh my God they've changed preferred shipping the the prices increased 100x it's just a glitch just chill out try again tomorrow there's no there there's no point of freaking out about stuff if it has
(3:26:48) actually changed 100x I mean we probably would have been notified but if it does then there's no point of freaking out we just have to deal with it at that time right but chances are it's just something that's just chill out for a bit it's going to be corrected or we're going to figure these things out it's true it's true yeah right now I think I'm a little bit worried about my credit cards my personal credit cards cuz I'm going ham on the personal cards but I don't know is the bank okay with that I'm not sure
(3:27:26) I'm not sure cuz right now my limit on on one of my card is like pretty low compared to what I'm purchasing and I'm just like rolling the car like maybe like 10 times a month if I it probably depends on the the institution but if you're actively consist consistently paying it off it'll probably be fine yeah have you haven't heard any issues about it I not really no it's very rare that somebody gets it's very it's very rare that somebody gets their card shut down unless you start missing payments yeah even then they're happy to
(3:28:11) collect some in to begin with I mean I I I wouldn't be very concerned if it was like a business but because it's a personal I'm like accumulating more points than a business obviously and I'm just like paying the car like in advance like I think like at least five times a month maybe 10 times so I don't think that's a problem they probably don't like you because they're not making any money off of you because you're not paying interest on anything but yeah I don't want to give them yeah curious what's limiting you from getting
(3:28:49) another or another card or what's limiting me is just the um the benefits of the card like this this card I'm using is has really good benefits for the points and also for the for a currency uh the conversion rate because I'm I'm buying I using I'm using this card to buy like in the US too and there's no uh uh conversion rate uh like additional conversion rate fees is that the RBC one or no yeah you got one you got it too because I was with HSBC no because I I was with HSBC which had the this um uh yes disadvantage yeah money laundry and then
(3:29:37) unfortunately I was I was getting so much points Unfortunately they had to leave Canada so RBC bought them and uh what they did is the they even though the Asian card didn't have this perk they added to uh old customers of HSBC so that's why I can't leave it I can't leave this it's like a two or three% cash back plus no foreign exchange I know the Rogers I think it's the Rogers Master Card that has no foreign exchange but I think the other thing I mean if you have a ax um you could potentially get an American us
(3:30:15) card and I was I recently like was doing some tickets reselling and I did the math on it with like wise for example if I do a transfer via wise the exchange rate is much more favorable than even even with credit cards like even though there's no foreign transaction fee they still convert at the bank currency rate and I was looking at the bank currency rate was is like Wise It's a good like 5% right there or the ax us so the way the way it works the way it works is like say you have an RBC um rbcus account right like in in
(3:30:59) like RBC USA or whatever or CIBC USA if you have a not a USD currency account but a c actual crossb currency account tied to say a Us address or even a Canadian address is fine and so what happens is what I do is I use like wise which is like the money transfer tool so what happens is I usually put money in wise as Canadian dollars so I load up my account and then I transfer within Wise from Canadian to my US USD account in Wise and then from USD in Wise I can send it to my USD uhit card uh not credit card I send it to my
(3:31:42) yeah you could send I don't know if you can pay from Wise directly to your credit card but then I can send it from my USD wise account to my USD bank account which whichever institution and then pay off my card accordingly right yeah it depends on the volume it depends on the volume levels but I would say definitely check to understand like how much what's the exchange rate the bank's giving you currently versus what wise is giving you right and I mean you're talking if you're saving you know 3 4% just there on on just the exchange rate
(3:32:14) they give you that's your cash back right yeah 100% right now in my head why it's giving the best rate but um my only concern my only issue is I don't know Green Day if you tried it but I'm not able to open a a US Bank based bank account for some reason just because the documentation here is H because I tried with CIBC and at the end of the process they asked me for a for a proof of uh Corporation of my business and I couldn't provide them any proof in English cuz the government they didn't translate anything in English I I opened
(3:32:58) a CIBC us account using I mean a personal one using that's what I did and then for aex I just I open an RBC but it's personal also the crossborder account yeah but that's the thing I don't transfer like even I have a CIBC Canadian account I don't transfer CIBC Canadian to to us to us CIBC I actually send it out from CIBC Canadian to yse Canadian and then do the transfer using wise and then send it back in okay so your account is personal it's not for your it's not a business account in the US yeah okay maybe yeah maybe this way it will work
(3:33:40) then I use wise too TR it person yeah just used like a Scotia us first when I started the credit card and after that once cash flow was good I just keep the money in the wi and I just do all my transaction with the Y because it's way simpler for me but if I need the money it's easy to transfer back to the to the account so yeah good to know so your your credit card is uh is based in Canada but in US currency or it's based in the in the USA mine is based in the USA that's so if you sell in the US yeah it doesn't get transferred exactly and
(3:34:23) I'm not paying all the currency conversion fees and all of those fees so I'm just keeping the money in the wise and all my payouts in US is getting transferred into my wise account as well so if I'm doing transaction I use the wise and and everything that I'm getting credited is getting in the wise as well so I just keep the money there and I just roll with it are you using your wise to to aut buy stuff directly or you transferring your wise into your credit card I'm using the wise directly okay yeah just when I started I
(3:34:58) used the scoa they gave me a such a big limit they give me almost 10K it was like that's too much for me when I started but uh I just used that first when I started and after that once the money was in the wise like I said I'm just using wise and I have no issues with it at all and even just to transfer back it takes a day your Amazon USA payouts you're saying is connected to your wise and then that's what you're using to pay for your your exactly all all my payouts from us is transferred to the wise but all my Canadian it's all in my Canadian
(3:35:34) same for me but so when you buy something in the US you buy from Wise directly like you use like a debit card just under the why yeah they they even send me a debit card so you have like a virtual uh card you have you have the option to use like the virtual card or even the card they send you I just use the virtual card is the same it's in the same profile so I just link I just use that they did give you like a number like on a card you put that in the with the expiry date and everything I don't even know if there's expiry date that's
(3:36:09) a good question but I just put all the information that's added on my profile I just copy it and once I do transaction why is just they remove the money directly but do you do you accumulate any like cash point like uh cash back or or points something like that no there's there's no benefits using wise no just Rutan because maybe it would be good if you buy from your CBC or your us card and then pay from y so then you come I guess you double by having your money in Wise and and having grauen and that would be a good
(3:36:51) idea I thought of it cuz I'm just using the regular Scotia us because I do I do banking with Scotia but yeah that's what I use right now makes it very easy to open American based ax yeah I remember you talking about that last time my next goal would be to open an ax even the 2% cash back preferred even in Canada I know it's everybody's raving about it so I'm that's what I'm going to look into next even for the us as well but for now I'm I'm I'm satisfied but yeah Rick ASB would be a way would be a plus yeah and I'm assuming you you find
(3:37:33) it beneficial using wise in the exchange rate right I mean that's why you do it compar have you going to compare to Scotia and then the exact math cuz I know it's in the 3 to 5% range depending even the Rogers you mentioned ago I think it was not as good as the Scotia based off I'm I'm it's pretty late right now I'm trying to think like what what was the exchange rate but I know it was more favorable for me to use the Scotia with the Rogers because I think there's limitation with that card too I can't think about it but yeah no
(3:38:09) it's it was more beneficial for me to use the Scotia when I did the my research but yeah wise is pretty good yeah I really like wise yeah noise I pay my VA with wise too and I think the rates are really good for her as well so it's a win-win yeah pay my I pay my VA using CIBC exchange cuz it's kind of cool they allow you to use your credit card to pay uh to do transfers and there's no like cash advance Fe anything it just comes up as a normal credit card transaction so you know sometimes yeah do I lose you know 1 or 2% on the exchange rate as
(3:38:53) compared to y yeah but from a cash flow perspective if I want I can use my card and then I think I still get points on on it I have to double check my statement just keeping everything in y is just you know just it's just there you know so it's it's all in us to us so I mean if you need the money that's another story but if you just want to keep growing your money just keep it there and just play with it and you know when the payout comes in just reinvest yeah 100% cuz I'm doing can Canada and and us too you
(3:39:26) know yeah and also by the way if you want to buy in the USA but still have a Canadian card credit card there's this uh the passport they offered a zero currency exchange fees if you want to to check it out another way to buy from the USA but having the 30 days or 21 days to pay the card off and not having the not having the fees I'll check that Robert can anyone recommend oh sorry sorry go ahead Jordan no goad no you go ahead I was gonna say I know Jordan you recommended this the AMX simply preferred for personal is there any
(3:40:12) other cards besides AMX you would recommend for personal I think besides MX I think I think it depends on what you're spending and where so like I still I still fully wholeheartedly believe that the simply cash prer is probably like the best overall card even like even for a lot of business just for like traditional credit just because like it has a really decent cash back and really good cash back for grocery and gas um it's hard to beat unless the place unless the place that you're buying from doesn't accept
(3:40:52) MX well that's yeah that's the one thing there's a couple play I just want one card that's not AMX cuz I have the MX gold MX preferred and then I just was thinking of one more just that if they don't accept AMX just to have for myself I just see use like a regular um no annual fee RBC cash back card yeah but it's capped it's Capp not not not I learned it the hard way by the way not way not the personal card the business card is yeah the business yeah you're right I'm talking for personal yeah now the personal I got screwed last
(3:41:35) year for a couple of thousands I think worth of cash back didn't I tell you it was capped I don't remember but I remember remember I asked the question I swear I asked the question when I got the card and they told me it's unlimited but I didn't I was stupid to not check I let keep spending RBC I don't know if you see it do you see it in your uh in your business like a statement when how much money you have accumulate accumulated of cash back uh I believe so it's not something I really ever pay attention to to be
(3:42:14) honest yeah but no so like for personal cashback card what's the card that I use here uh I'm pulling up my spreadsheet so there's a just like the personal RBC cashback MasterCard that's like if I if I can't use an AMX somewhere for personal purchases that's usually one that I use just because it's a no annual fee card it's cash back uh there is no cap on the cash back for personal that's the card that I that's the card that I use for business when I first started um so with that though you get 2% cash back on
(3:42:50) grocery store purchases and then 1% back on everything else that has no cap um once you get into the RBC business cashback MasterCard no annual fee ones yeah they do have a a cap on them I believe it's 650 bucks yeah yeah um Robert I was going to ask you for wise when you pay your VA um do what kind of fees do you incur when you pay your VA yeah so let's say I pay uh 200 I don't I can check right now but I remember it's like less than $2 for let's say I want to send her uh like 200 USD i i i TK the I TK the the rate the interest so I sent her
(3:43:38) like $22 but just let me check if I can see the the transaction transaction I think with Y is to are you transferring her USD direct or you doing C to us I'm sorry are you also converting Canadian to USD no I'm I'm paying her with the the amount I'm receiving from my us Marketplace okay directly so here I I sent her $212 cuz I want to tank the fees for her and then the total fees are $11.
(3:44:21) 92 92 so she receives 200 flat okay so let's compare this with some of my recent transfers so say I paid an employee recently of $280 us what was my fee my transaction fee on that was $3.49 us so I was paying 349 divided by uh 2817 so that was a 1.2% transaction fee and Sor you paid what here I have 0 0095 so less than 1% convers so 1.92 divid by 202 okay and then you find that the like the fees that your VA pays um are quite favorable when they exchange it that I didn't ask but I'm pretty sure uh because initially I was sending her the money by PayPal
(3:45:20) I'm pretty sure it's better than PayPal so I don't know any other way I can send her the money I when I send while CIBC money transfer I think I have the opportunity of sending it directly in Philippines currency uh like I it converts it at that bank rate they just get it as a local currency what the USD when you pay how uh in which way KC exchange like connected to my bank account but I wonder what the I mean you can op opt to get let them receive it in USD or in Philippines why am I forgetting what Philippines currency is
(3:46:00) in P PHP oh it's Philippine Pesos it's called yeah yeah okay it's funny um so yeah like the way like right now I pay all my VA via Paypal um I had briefly a long time ago explored doing wise I just I don't know why we never proceeded with it um but so I pay them all in USD and so we always instruct them that their accounts if they can they should set up their account in USD because if we send it to them USD and they receive it as PHP they are getting shafted on the exchange versus doing the exchange locally yeah um so but paying
(3:46:44) through PayPal um I pay the the transaction fee they don't pay any transaction fees to obtain that that money they do uh incur fees um when they switch correct but but so far so uh when you pay the total fees what was the percentage you said is it was it more than 1% yeah so it was I believe it was 1.2% is and I assume Jordan you have USD in your PayPal account or are you converting each time uh technically it's being converted I don't keep any money in my PayPal because I don't I don't trust them so it's PayPal PayPal conversion ratio is
(3:47:29) is worse than the bank ones just AI so you'll be you'll be saving a couple of bucks just on the conversion there too as well from CAD us well let's see what this transaction looked like so this was a payment that was sent on May 26th I sent two with the with the fee 28366 us and up cost me 40596 Canadian so we'll go 28366 yeah it's like an additional $20 in fees yeah I should have been should have been like 386 so $20 in fees per VA time 6times 12 26 payments per per year oh 4.
(3:48:31) 6 Grand huh maybe I should look into wise then and Y wise honestly is so nice to use the thing with PayPal also I'm sketched out I heard so many stories about like they're blocking accounts or keeping money away from from sellers yeah like from Shopify sellers they they're really known for freezing people's accounts and like without really justification and keeping funds and stuff that's why I don't keep anything inside of PayPal yeah I have like a good chunk of money in top cashback since like a year ago I never used it cuz I always tell
(3:49:10) myself like maybe if I go to Walt Disney I'm going to I'm going to convert the money into Disney cards yeah but but did it happen Jordan on that note how much USD were you sending your weas 200 USD was it or what was the 300 well this was one payment for one employee for a twoe pay period for $280 us okay so to send to ad us why why would you 385 uh 385 Canadian in total was you paid how much in Canadian in total 405 yeah so you're saying $20 yeah $30 yeah right 30 or 20 yeah 20 20 20 yeah and maybe the conversion between us
(3:50:06) to PHP is going to be lower for your for abas too for sure yeah something I'll def I think looking into I think also in wise if you want you can also send it directly to them in pesos so you can do CAD to pesos directly so like I mean I do you know what the do you have you ever said equivalently how much they supposed to get paid in passwords know how much they do no I would send them USD I'm not sure yeah so maybe that's another option too is if they have a local Philippines pesos account and they anyways going to
(3:50:43) convert it USD to pesos you could maybe I'm looking at yse right now I I'm seeing that you can send in pesos actually that's a good idea I should ask my my VA that how much he paying cuz if it's I don't know X number of say I don't know if it ends up being say you know 250 CAD is equalent to say 10,000 P so was 10,675 pesos then you know so be it right yeah cuz I think I'm sending the money directly to her I'm not sending to her wise account I'm sending the money directly to her bank account looks I think cuz if she get if
(3:51:23) she has a wise account in Philippines pesos then she just has to do a peso to peso transaction in between her wise peso account and whatever her local bank account and wise does the whole transaction whole exchange from Canadian to P versus the bank at any point take in that exchange but maybe it's automatically done before it's sent sent because here when I check her bank account it says account number PHP accounts only so the money is already transferred maybe before it sent I'm not sure let me re check with her how much
(3:52:06) he finally gets in yeah I think it's it's automatically switched cuz when I send the money it it it gives me the amount in PHP too oh yeah so I would assume that when I'm so like say I open up a wise account I would assume I could fund it with Canadian dollars or do I have to fun it with USD you can you can f it with your Canadian account I think they're gonna ask you Canadian you have to pay like $30 like initially just to open the account but this money is going to stay in your account but to open it you have
(3:52:46) to transfer money like $30 or $20 and I think you can fund it using a debit card there's a higher fee you can some fund it using interact you can fund it using like directly transfer to your of your bank while transfer to your bank account I think that has the lowest amount of fees and you can use the you can open a US bank account they give you the routing number and everything that you can put in Amazon if you start selling one day in the US can you would be receiving the money directly in Wise so in USD so Jaden in
(3:53:23) that scenario with that transfer if it was being withdrawn from the wise account it's being withdrawn via Canadian dollars would that yeah is is that exchange that that that example that you did is it does it have being transferred from Canadian dollars yeah that's what I was doing I was doing the I did the exact conversion of how much USD you wanted and it told me how much in Canadian using their live transfer fee plus their fees so yeah that's telling you and like I was just looking like ideally in Wise I mean once you
(3:53:58) fund your account with the fee from interact or manual Bank FR we're talking like 75 cents I think is the fee I usually I just load up my wise account with say ,000 in for the month or whatever and then use that balance and or then I use just keep a balance in USD too cuz you can also I think if I'm not mistaken with within wise you can uh set it up in a way I think it was with wise where you can like make it do an exchange or conversion as soon as the exchange rate is in a specific favorable place was that wise or was that
(3:54:33) something else I'm imagining but yeah oh yeah Auto conversions so like you can basically set it up in a way that if there's an exchange rate favorable on a day-to-day basis then as soon as it hits that trigger rate it automatically converts any USD to CAD or vice versa in case you really want to play that game Okay cool so this is exactly why I like having community and calls and things like this because with doing just a simple thing it should probably save me anywhere from three to five grand per year this is a trip in Thailand
(3:55:14) [Laughter] this is exactly why we have these conversations but yeah I'm pretty sure we just didn't look at why just because of laziness I mean another account you have to keep in your account will have to look after the end of day when it comes to bookkeeping so but hey $4,000 what that pays for his fees than everyone else's 100% it does great hey guys I gotta head out right now thank you for the for the chat it was great talking definitely have a good night Dean have a good night right okay night okay guys bye
(3:56:11) ciao I think uh I'm going to go sleep too I'm I'm a little bit sick too but uh I usually try to to sleep at 10:30 for my cium rhythm you're you're messing up your flow yeah tomorrow is going to be tough but the pastor caref you yeah 100% but yeah nice talk uh wishing you all a great night you as well and yeah I will probably wrap it up there then but uh
