(00:00) and then uh for those that are just popping in I am currently live all you have to do is just like hover over my name in The Voice Chat and then you should be able to click on my stream or my screen and you should be able to see what I'm seeing um I mentioned earlier I do have a bit of a a loose agenda I want to discuss today it was originally a lot less loose I started putting together some topics today and I just realized that there was a lot of different things that are happening and a lot of things that a lot of people are concerned about
(00:32) so the topics kind of increased a whole lot today uh a lot of it will fly through some of it we'll spend some more time on some of the more important stuff and then as usual we'll do like just a general conversation Q&A as well at the end um but yeah so like this is just again going to be like more so a casual conversation uh these are just some of topics that have been happening in all different types of Worlds that we do in the server that I believe are just very important things that we should discuss so I'm just going to discuss each topic
(01:03) um if you have anything that you want to ask or add to each topic as we go feel free to cut in and either ask or add your input and then we'll carry on to the next one but yeah some of these topics we're going to fly through pretty quickly because they're just kind of some general reminders and then some of these guys we're going to spend a little bit more time on so just to get started um just going to start off with Amazon so I just wanted to mention just in case there's anybody that is unaware recently we have added a few additional
(01:32) channels in the server uh for our Amazon channels uh these guys specifically so if you come down to the Amazon category we have the high-risk Brands and sellers and also retailers to avoid so he finds flips that's in here he recommended both of these guys and this is just where everybody can post if anybody's having issues uh with any type of retailers Brands sellers Etc just to kind of build a general knowledge base for everybody's reference and then eventually we'll end up putting it together in a more formatted spreadsheet kind of like our
(02:07) Arbitrage retailer database just so everybody can have easier better access to it so for the high-risk Brands and sellers these are just be things that these are brands that are known to submit IP complaints these would be sellers that you know of that are actually Distributors and they don't disclose that information uh a lot of those types of distributors be sellers that you want to avoid or generally sellers that have a lot of exclusivity with their products such as like say a pattern for example always feel free to
(02:39) share that in here and then when we find additional information we will share it in here as well and then the retailers to avoid section is just to input information about retailers that a lot of sellers have issues with whether they're seller uh retailers that have issues with resellers in general they can a lot of orders their known scam sites they don't end up actually shipping stuff um all kinds of stuff like that so if you ever notice anything and you want to share that with the community always feel free
(03:11) to post in those channels there and then just as a general reminder just wanted to mention to everybody that is an Amazon Seller Q4 Peak fulfillment fees are in fact effective October 15th and they are running until January 14th on average most standard siiz units you're going to see an increase in the just the fulfillment fee from about 30 to about 50 cents it does increase a bit more as you get into the bigger tiers into like uh medium and large oversized products so just make sure that you are re-evaluating your products um for
(03:50) viability and ensure always that you when you are sourcing new products or resourcing existing products that you have for repurchase always double check your fees and always make sure that they still make sense for you okay and again these fees are in effect until January 14th this is the link right here I'm not going to click on it because that will run into my account but I will share it in the chat here and right there I put it in the voice chat chat that will show you the updated uh Peak fulfillment fee okay and this is something that we
(04:26) experience every year of course another thing that that is not as widely discussed and it's not as large of an impact was that recent digital service fee that's being applied it's a fee on a fee on our fulfillment fee and it's apparently something to do with our government it's a percentage of the fulfillment fee so it is fairly low uh it does end up being typically about a few cents per unit it can increase if you have higher value items uh but of course when you're if you're selling thousands of unit per month it certainly
(05:00) adds up so that is also something that you want to take consider in your purchasing decisions going forward and again for those that are just popping in here uh we just kind of have a loose agenda today I just want to get through all these guys if you have any input or have any questions as we go through these please feel free to butt in uh either in the chat in the voice chat or cut in on voice either way okay another just brief thing I want to mention is for the Q4 return window we always have a elongated return window
(05:38) for Q4 specifically for the holiday season for Amazon so instead of products being eligible for return for 30 days it's now extended so any products that are purchased from November 1st to December 1st can all be returned until January 31st okay so you just have to keep this in mind Um this can be a concern for a lot of lot of people we will see higher return rates come January it happens every single year there is nothing that we can really do to avoid it uh some categories are obviously less impacted than others uh
(06:12) like your non- returnable categories like your grocery Health and Beauty Etc although we still see a bump in those categories as well um returnless returnless returns um but you will see most likely a much more significant increase in category that are heavily gifted such as things like electronics toys clothing Etc so just be mindful of this uh be prepared for it because come January a lot of new sellers they always get super depressed when all a sudden their returns are like double the amount of what they normally
(06:46) expect so just make sure you're aware about that generally speaking again most returns end up being resellable uh depending on the categories that you're in um most of of your products probably about like 80 to 90% you can get sent back to you and basically send right back to Amazon a good chunk that are not sellable back on Amazon you'll be able to recuperate some money selling locally on places like eBay and then the remainder will be stuff that just completely trash but it typically ends up being a fairly low
(07:24) percentage all righty the next thing I just wanted to mention uh and this is something that a lot of Canadian sellers May may not be aware of this is something I had posted in our chat I think it was last week but Amazon us has put out a news post about their updated bundling policy uh I haven't seen this hit Amazon Canada yet but it'll be just a matter of time this is a policy that will probably not kick around for a long time before it's introduced here like a lot of things are at Amazon us uh but what this policy is is Amazon
(07:59) is now actually enforcing um what they should have been enforcing what they've been talking about enforcing for years and that is they're no longer going to allow products that have custom bundles that are not bundles directly from the manufacturer allowed on Amazon meaning uh products that like say have uh like just like a custom spoon added in with like a pack of cereal you'll no longer be able to do that or like say if you have um packs of sugar and you add in like stir sticks or something to make it like your own
(08:32) custom bundle that nobody else can sell you're not going to be able to do that anymore so this has already been starting effective October 14th in the US I suspect it'll probably hit us really soon it'll either be read away or it'll be after Q4 but I would probably expect in the next couple weeks it'll hit us um if it hasn't already I haven't looked at the News Post in the last little bit um but I have heard of some people actually getting their accounts suspended for for having unauthorized bundle listings on their accounts so
(09:03) would highly highly highly recommend if you have any of those products to start getting rid of them now um I would say in most cases try to sell through them quicker and then close the listing if you don't have that much inventory kicking around or if you really don't want to risk it which I probably wouldn't I would probably recommend closing deleting the listing and getting the inventory send back to you immediately because there's a real risk that when the policy is implemented and when it is introduced you will get a temporary suspension
(09:32) it'll be very easy to get reinstated well I won't say really easy but it should be relatively easy um but something that we do not want to face especially in the middle of Q4 and again these are like your custom bundle listings where it's like you have like a random spoon added into something or um the listings where it's like multiple products and it's under a name that is not the Brand's name those are all going to be ones that are impacted so like say if you have like a a bundle of like three different packs of tea and
(10:05) it's under like a seller's name those are all going to be ones that get audited they have to be listed by the books how Amazon wants them to be listed multi packs are still going to be accepted uh bundles are still going to be accepted but they have to meet Amazon's terms they have to be listed correctly and they have to be offered directly from the brand the manufacturer itself and for those that make listings um a lot of people previously because we wouldn't have upcs for a lot of those types of listings and so a lot of
(10:43) sellers would list them with uh G10 exemptions that's not going to be a thing anymore for those types of listings uh if they do get approved they're going to get taken down pretty quickly so any questions about any of that stuff so far before we get into some of the deeper topics if you do let me know let me know otherwise we'll carry on cool we'll carry on then the next thing I want to discuss is some of the recent Amazon gatings that we've been experiencing so I'm not coming to this topic from experience because it's not it's not like it's not
(11:29) well known that I don't sell in the US myself so this isn't something I have experienced quite heavily in this recent wave however I have experienced it in previous waves more so like specifically like the Bey wave inside Canada uh but I I've done some research and I know some things and there's some things that obviously relate to one another and then we can obviously have a conversation about so for those that are unaware there has recently been a wave of random gatings happening in specifically on amazon.com and it seems like the
(12:02) majority of what's Happening hey Roots keep on growing you want to manage your mute there you want to just put your mic on mute thank you very much um there were a influx of random gatings across a multitude of different brands where a lot of non us resident accounts have been getting hard gated some of them uh some US Dollars have been impacted as well but it's seems like from the US end it's more so specifically for sellers that have not really been selling those products and it seems like most us sellers have been
(12:39) getting soft gated uh we have we have experienced something like similar to that in Canada whereas if you are ungated in a product and don't sell it for x amount of time all of a sudden you become reated in it and if you want to sell that you have to get ungated again that seems like mostly what's happening with us sellers but sellers outside of the US have been getting hard gated and a lot of the brands that says aasa I should say AA these are a lot of the known brands that have been recently affected these are from people that have
(13:10) been posting in the server things that been seen online Etc so there are some some Heavy Hitters in here like your funkos Legos Mattel's oral uh it looks like the ordinary was recently hit as well so this can have a large impact on a lot of sellers especially if you have a large part of your catalog in these brands so uh I'm not even following my agenda here let me just see what I've discussed so far uh I have seen no actual indication or reason why it has been primarily affecting out of country sellers some people speculate it's because you know
(13:48) we have different packaging requirements or uh sometimes the products are slightly different I have seen actually no indication of that being the case um we have seen other gatings like this in the past not this extensive and not with these high-profile Brands but we have seen like things like this quite a few years ago where we've gotten all these gatings out of nowhere and then months later outside of Q4 without any notice communication nothing all of a sudden Amazon reopened them back up to get ungated I can't say if that's going to
(14:25) be the case with these guys obviously we hope that's the case um but we don't know right now obviously Amazon hasn't said anything that I'm aware of right now there's a lot of people that have been super pissed on places like Twitter that have been making large posts that have been getting quite a bit of attention but as far as I'm aware they haven't gained any real traction so far uh where are we at here when it originally happened just because it was such a variety of different brands I had a initial um suspicion that it may have been a glitch
(15:05) because [ __ ] like this happens with Amazon quite often uh but because of the amount of time that has passed since this has happened it doesn't seem like that's the case uh unless Amazon is just really taking their time to try to fix it but it's not something I would Bank on um so I just put a few points here of things that we can do and I just wanted to really hit home to this is because a lot of people see this as a massive hit and some people think that the secondary Amazon Marketplace is completely a collapsing um because of things like
(15:40) this happening but that is not the case whatsoever uh yes some of these are Big Brands however it's a very small portion of all the brands and products available on Amazon's catalog and right now it only appears to be for a select group of people which is happens to be us and from what we can see is that it doesn't appear that these are gatings coming directly from the brand it seems like this is something from Amazon because of such a wide variety of different brands doing it all at the same time I don't think uh Vaseline coordinated with Lego
(16:17) to both gate their products at the same time right that's like that' be a very very strange coincidence I don't see that happening it's something else of why Amazon's doing it um uh we don't know why yet but we will probably find out eventually or get some type of indication or some speculation um but yeah we it's not the actual brands that are doing it like the previous massive gatings that we had with some of the Beauty Brands like L'Oreal for example that we believe is something that L'Oreal is actually in contact with
(16:51) Amazon about this recent one we do not believe that to be the case because it would have also impacted Ed us specific Sellers as well uh right now unfortunately all we can do is wait and we should also attempt to liquidate any effective inventory until or if we hear anything further about it some people may be prone to want to hold on to some inventory um if you have the cash flow available to you to be able to do that sure that might be okay in most cases I don't think most people have that much cash flow to sit on a large chunk of
(17:28) inventory so it isn't something I would specifically recommend um I would attempt to liquidate the inventory uh and then if we do get reopen back up then we can start purchasing again right obviously everybody's case is different but that' be my general recommendation and I also want to mention that I am personally actively looking for some solutions for a group for us-based Liquidators that will take some lower volume inventory as a lot of Liquidators will only take a lot larger inventory uh endoor services that will
(18:02) take your inventory and sell through other channels such as on eBay um locally places like that either for a set fee or on consignment so if you have any leads for places that will do this that offer this that are reputable please let me know and I'll look into them uh don't throw me a company that you had know nothing about or haven't personally worked with because I vet every every company before we actually put offer it in the server and if somebody is just like a trash service then it's never going to see the
(18:31) light of day in here um but yeah I'm looking for that just so that those that are us sellers have a better Avenue to hopefully recoup some of this money instead of just having to dispose of it or incur so much additional cost bringing it back over the border and then just a few things I want to mention for going forward um there are some things that we can obviously all Implement into our businesses to help mitigate some risks like the um we can only do so much uh Amazon can be very unpredictable but we can diversify our risk and mitigate it as
(19:08) much as we can and some things that I would personally recommend is limiting your total capital investment into any one brand to a certain set percentage say say such as like 10% or so so if you have $10,000 available for total inventory I would typically recommend don't put more than about $1,000 of that into any one brand not just product brand because if things like this happen it can help mitigate your short-term losses all these products we still have liquid assets available like we still have the the actual physical inventory assuming you
(19:45) get back across the border we still have that actual asset that we can liquidate um but there's some short-term loss of cash flow so this can help you mitigate those risks and then I'd also recommend that you build up other Amazon marketplaces such as both Canada and the US and do not always focus on only one uh I know a lot of people a lot of Amazon sellers really focus in and go hard on Amazon us I get it they have a lot of volume the exchange rate is very favorable um a lot of products tend to be a lot less eyeballs on it a lot less
(20:25) competitions they tend to be more viable for a longer period of time less tanking overall but if stuff like this happens generally speaking Amazon is going to favor us sellers first over Canadian sellers for the US Marketplace if things ever get shut down again where it's like say Co all over again and borders start getting shut down uh we're going to have a big issue we could have big issues getting products over the border so if you rely entirely on your operation of sending stuff across the border you may want to consider building
(21:02) up Canada a bit more uh I know some people despise Canada because I know it can be certainly Amazon in hard mode it takes a lot more a lot more research a lot more time a lot more products overall to be as viable but you can still build a very substantial income selling on Amazon Canada or or other marketplaces for that for that matter so I wouldn't necessarily just try to write off so anybody have any questions comments about any of that at all that they want to share or pitch in anybody maybe maybe not it's still away from the gting so
(21:56) not in the complete SES off giving any comments right now a lot of my portfolio like a lot of people PL got I would say hard gated so yeah still suffering of that because of that but yeah found some other products life's going on is fine yeah and just like with anything else like obviously this really sucks and for some people this is going to be what puts them over the edge and it's going to force them to quit if yeah I mean yes sry go on no no go ahead Yeah so basically from from what what I've gathered uh it's it's more of a
(22:35) distribution issue rather than rather than Amazon kind of trying to get some sellers of the listing because the borders uh like the US borders have been kind of pretty much uh nosy with what kind of labeling is there on the product especially with the fresh labing and everything they kind if if they open up the packages they will give you a hard time so I believe it's it's it's some sort of thing happening in the US and Amazon is kind of uh because of all the distribution agreements that they have in place especially because a lot of
(23:07) Brands tend to develop their Market in Canada and they have just kind of started selling on Amazon in Canada so they would initially offer a lower price and they don't want that Arbitrage um or or to make those losses on the sales on Doom site so I mean based on what I've gathered it's it's just purely there because like for example I don't think like Lego here has French labeling I mean not at least on the on the aut packaging but still it got gated right and those are just some good points um I know I believe it was
(23:43) yourselves Abdul that I mentioned in one of our prior calls that because I had mentioned that a possible workaround in the future if the say this never changes for those that want to explore it is potentially opening up like a US LLC and open up account that way and some people had a concern that well that might not work because of like P PES products however those are those are like federally regulated that you have to be uh in the US as far as I as far as I'm aware in order to be able to sell them so that may not be the case with
(24:15) these Brands but we won't know until we come closer to that time yeah I mean it it makes sense because I mean b based on I mean I I actually come from Pakistan so I know I know lot of people who have opened up their us llc's on their Pakistani credentials and I don't think any of have them spoken about all these hard gatings till now or maybe I just skip those post I'm not sure but yeah it I mean I haven't seen anything um of this sort that we face like it's not only us it's like and sellers but but I mean on like okay so
(24:51) um there's this other guy Ed who who is based out of UK and he he sells on on amazon.com and I believe he has a US LLC for those purposes and he also got aot hard geted in lot of Brands so so I'm not sure what's going on but yeah I mean it's it's a greata yeah and that's something that we'll need to explore with more people as we have more and more of these conversations and of course if anybody is in here that has a US LLC and you've experienced this please let us know so that we can get more information um but yeah like as far as
(25:26) I'm aware most people that have a us LLC that are selling from other country have not experienced this but there may be some an anomalies of course yeah and also I believe like a lot because I mean Amazon has been tracking your Amazon buyer account so I I also think that a lot of people who have suffered in the US side as well were pretty heavy on A2 a flips so because I mean this is not only us doing it like there are a lot of us sellers who buy stuff in Canada get it across the board and then prep and ship it into
(25:55) the. warehouse so they I mean I know a couple of people who have been affected so I one one of my other theories would be that Amazon is kind of cracking down on this crossb ARB using their own uh platform but yeah that's just a cury for now so you believe that um Amazon may be wanting to crack down an a2a flips Arbitrage opportunities directly from their platform is that what you is that what you mentioned no I'm talking about the crossw ones so for example if there like there are a lot of products that like for example Legos so you would find
(26:31) Amazon offering a quite a deal quite many deals on Lego onca as compar to.com and so that's that's where they have started to crack down that's that's what my theory is for now uh I know a couple of people uh based in us like US citizens they were buying some stuff from Canada to sell in the US because of the Arbitrage opportunities and they have also been harded in a couple of Brands yeah but also like outside of like external factors I'm not sure why Amazon would be concerned about that themselves um I mean again I think it
(27:06) all boils down to the distribution agreements they have in place I mean if if Lego is is kind of providing them with incentives to kind of Manet trate or sell more stuff in the in the Canadian Market they would want that stuff to remain in Canadian Market not not to be sold back in the US market true but also and like that very well could be but like say like this is an external Factor from Lego um again because we experience like these heart gatings on so many wide variety different brands all at the same time
(27:35) you would think that they would all have those concerns right but I doubt all those Brands had the same concern at the exact same time yeah but I mean one one more thing would be that all of the brands that have been restricted were like 90 95% of their listings were dominated by Amazon and and.
(27:55) ca so again I'm not sure I mean I'm just thinking as we speak but but I I I kind of believe that that it's because of the um distribution agreements that they have in place because you you you know a lot of Brands like for example I was in talks with one of the brand who is US based who is us-based and they don't sell on amazon.
(28:15) ca directly and I was like I can I can do that for you and they were like no no no we we plan to expand ourselves and they they launched their product on doca and they retail I mean they consistently sell the product on.com for 130 USD onca they're currently selling it for $79.99 K yeah for sure and yeah like the again this certainly could be a possibility and like there could be specific distribution agreements in certain marketplaces for certain brands as well which we're going to be talking about under the section three um other section three stuff but yeah like these are all
(28:50) good things to discuss these are all good possibilities um but yeah as of right now unfortunately we are really all in the dark none of us know for sure yeah yeah I mean and and I I don't think there would be any more clarity from Amazon in this regard because I mean they didn't even respond to to the tweets getting wild I mean people have been like calling them out like crazy because I mean it it doesn't make sense like you uh I was I was at one of the other forums yesterday and I saw that walmart.com decided to get a brand but
(29:23) they gave uh their sellers like almost like more than 45 days to liquidate their inventory they they kind of give them a heads up that you know what this brand will be GED from December 1st um because they also expect the sellers to have inventory of four to six weeks worth in their warehouse Amazon also kind of requires you to do the same but then they would decide to shut down a brand and give you like less than six hours to set it off it's it's not happening right and I 100% agree like that's complete [ __ ] and I know like some lawsuits
(29:55) and some um I don't remember what the word I'm looking for here some class action lawsuits are in the work for the things that Amazon does like that and antitrust things and how they treat some sellers because that is completely unacceptable and that should have never happened yeah I mean in in UK in I think in Europe there there has been one of the cases where which which which have been decided against Amazon but but I mean I don't see any European sellers saying that things got better after that I mean it's it's their it's it's their
(30:30) platform it's their Marketplace and it's their rules you you cannot do anything about it right now unfortunately yes that is 100% the case as we see more marketplaces that appear that threaten Amazon a bit more like Walmart's Marketplace that may change but that's probably going to be much much further down in the future yeah I mean Walmart has been like they have they have been on the top of the game deliveries in especially in the GP region I mean I would order a stuff at let's say 10: in the night and the stuff would be at my
(31:01) door at 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon I was like this is faster than Prime for sure well and that's good to hear it because then that means that there's an actual real competitor and a Potential Threat that should drive policies in both marketplaces and all marketplaces realistically yeah I mean initially they were they were kind of pretty much open with what sellers wanted so Rob Cosman from selling from the beach that guy kind of convinced them that he would be doing mcf orders from Amazon and their
(31:30) head of whatever Department accepted his uh his request and he he did a lot of mcfs from Walmart from amazon.com to walmart.com um but now they they they have also started to get get more strict kind of uh wetting who was getting on the platform and then they would kind of give get you in a call interview you how much experience do you have selling online and stuff like that but I but I personally believe especially in the U on the US side uh Walmart Walmart is going to give good competition to Amazon because I mean they their Walmart plus
(32:03) is an amazing program it's it's basically Prime and then uh the delivery times are pretty good and then Walmart itself has has a lot of stuff so and the the stuff that they don't have they are they are getting third party sellers to sell it but the only problem right now that that I seen with Walmart with myself I I kind of ordered something from a third party seller on a Walmart from personal use and the customer service is [ __ ] uh it it it took me like a week to get refund because uh I I ordered let's say a two pack of
(32:40) something and the customer and the seller ended up sending me a one pack and Walmart employees didn't understand what I was saying so it took me a week the case got escalated and I finally got my refund of $20 I was like yeah if Amazon was there it would have been like two minutes yeah 100% And yeah like I hope obviously Walmart works on these things because way back in the day like I remember a world without Amazon as old as it sounds uh but at that time nobody ever thought Walmart like Walmart was never going to
(33:13) be affected and then Amazon came around it's like Walmart has a real threat and they've only been an actual real threat to Walmart ever since and they certainly overtook e-commerce from Walmart 100% And Walmart is slowly making a comeback they obviously still have their massive distribution Network all their physical retail locations they have that unlock but now they're trying to reintegrate back into the online I think they have been doing good things they have been doing it right but it's just a matter of
(33:41) if they're able to execute it consistently for long enough yeah and and they have been doing something pretty interesting so I I was able to kind of I know guy who works for uh Walmart head office here in Canada so they had their meeting with us or whatever so there what he told me was first was kind of interesting to me so he was like that you know Brands like let's say Reno or or maybe let's say Utopia or something something of that sort like the huge Amazon PL Brands Walmart is kind of asking them that you
(34:12) know come on our platforms we will charge no Fe for six months and if our customers like your product and if you hit a s sales velocity we will start carrying your products on our shelves and physical locations so that's that's something B for for an e-commerce brand to to get into Walmart 100% it is that's massive um but yeah like so I hope though because we seen previously when whenever Amazon launches in any Marketplace we always see the same trajectory where it's like when Amazon first opens up for like the first
(34:47) probably five to 10 years it's almost like the wild west they have their their policies and everything in place but they don't enforce them super strictly you can get away with a lot of [ __ ] almost everybody gets approved uh they let so many things slide and then once they start getting an established seller base they consistently make it harder and Implement more restrictions and Implement more fees and make it harder because then they're trying to they have their seller base then they're trying to weed out to only the professionals that
(35:18) actually want to do it as an actual business I see that all the time with Amazon and every Marketplace that they've introduced I seen it happen in the US I've been seeing it happen exactly the same way in Canada um so I hope that Walmart obviously they need to lock it down to a point um but I hope that they don't be as much of [ __ ] as Amazon is in general J do you remember like the early days of Amazon Canada where you could just import anything of us even if it wasn't approved by Health Canada to be sold in
(35:52) the US the listing would stay on for years and no one would B an eye now the listing things are are hardly kind of making it on the marketplace because of all the pre-checks that they have in place right now I was trying to make a bundle listing uh last week and it took it like took me like two days to get it live because it went into reviews and man reviews and whatnot so but it got approved at the end um but I mean with with like it kind of hit me that you know what when we started we never thought about all these compliance
(36:23) documents and [ __ ] like that I mean if you are able to Source a proper we will be able to sell it off 100% uh but yeah I think that's just kind of like an organic thing that marketplaces do because they want that influx the sellers so they make it a little bit easier on you to begin with and then they they make it harder over time to prevent potential issues themselves right and yeah like when I when I first started Amazon myself almost nothing was gated I could sell almost everything without what I didn't know what
(36:52) attempting to get ungated was um I could sell basically everything off the Hop and there were tons of duplicate listings all over the place where you could literally buy from one listing and sell it on the other of the exact same product and make a profit that's still exists but it's way it's way less nowadays what it used to be yeah I mean like in back in 2020 my my major portfolio was beauty products from us which are never approved by Canada so I was I was getting it across the border and selling it it had no French labeling
(37:23) all thei are all over the place they were not supposed to be like all I I'm not sure of the of the exactly all the assets and stuff like that that's not supposed to be in in the skare As for the As for health Canada but I sold it for a year or so and I made good money on that but now I mean the listings got taken down in like two days three days maximum they could survive for two three months and then they down well yeah because like eventually like obviously at that time it was still legal to do that like to sell products without
(37:53) bilingual labeling like it is today uh but Amazon just disregarded just like a long time ago when they didn't have the tax laws in place where Amazon was forced to remit taxes for you technically you could have done some massive tax evation with Amazon and that's what a lot of people were doing and that's why like these laws come into place and all of a sudden Amazon's getting hit with all this um legislation and now they have to adjust I mean even today you can do that I was talking to one of my friends who
(38:25) is an accountant and he told me a way to lift xre Canada if you're doing e-commerce I was like who that's amazing man probably probably a little illegal um it's it's in the gray area yeah but yeah it was it was it was pretty creative and I was like yeah man you get B benefits from the government you just you are just loading the government from with the Canadian government and then you making money all your money in the US and you never kind of pay taxes on that that's that's amazing if it's if it's legal I'd be
(38:56) interested to talk about it but it might be very gray yeah it's it's pretty gray I would say it's it's it's a bit dark gray all righty so we're going to carry on here um but yeah like that that's obviously like really good conversations to have and obviously when if and when we do find out more we keep everybody updated um but this is everything that we know right now uh the next thing that I want to discuss um because it has been on a lot of people's mind mind because it's been going through the interwebs for like the
(39:30) past sixish months and we're starting to see some Canadians more so hit with these as well is section three suspensions so this will be something that we go a little bit more in depth with um up until just recently there were not a lot of good resources about navigating section 3es there were some people that exist that can help you navigate them some will do it out of the kindness of their heart some will charge you money for it um however and I don't really promote a lot of people's material because I think in general a lot of
(40:05) people put out a bunch of [ __ ] um Chris Grant recently released a video and generally speaking I think his material was pretty good U but he had like a I think it was like an hour and 30 minute video All About section 3es and how he recently went through one and actually gives a really good breakdown of what they really are and how to go through your interview what documents to uh to provide it's a really good walk through and I'd highly encourage anybody that is concerned about section 3es um which realistically should be everybody
(40:38) because it could happen to anybody to watch the video so that you are prepared for if and when it ever does happen or if you're going through one right now use this as kind of your guide so I'm going to share some of the uh the stuff here in this chat so just give me a second here but I basically wanted to give some context and some of the points from Chris's video because I think it's very helpful so for those that are unaware which I imagine is probably most people uh most people have no idea what section three stands for and section three
(41:15) stands for the oh that's the abundantly policy for section three of Amazon's Business Solutions agreement right so this just indicates your term and termination and how and why Amazon can suspend your account it discusses a lot of stuff and I want to go through it so we can discuss these and really demystify what a section three is and then we can discuss the what we need to do to safeguard ourselves going forward because these will certainly end up start sweeping Canada um it's not going to be as big as what you think in my opinion like it's
(41:57) not going to affect as many Sellers as what you think uh but those that are affected will obviously be very vocal about it so it'll seem like it's impacting everybody um but it probably will impact some of us some of you that are in here so we want to ensure that we are prepared for it for if and when it does happen um but you can look at the Business Solution agreement and you can find section three here and it just indicates that uh where are the key points here so we may terminate your account uh or this agreement for
(42:27) convenience with 30 days advaned notice we may suspend or terminate your count or this agreement immediately if we determine that a you have materially breached this agreement and failed to cure within seven days of a cure notice unless your breach exposes us to liability towards the third party meaning that if you get a notice you need to address it within seven days so this is why it's very important that when you have any type of performance notification or any type of issue on your account that you address it
(42:57) immediately do not wait um in which case we're entitled to reduce or wave The aetric Cure period at a reasonable discretion so that just basically means that if they are getting sued for some reason and you're involved that 7-Day grace period may go away uh point B your account has been or are controls and that means that their controls like their algorithms or their Bots identify that it may be used for deceptive or fraudulent or illegal activity that's going to be a key point that we discuss after this uh C uh your use of
(43:33) the services has harmed or controls or our controls as in their algorithms or Bots identify that it might harm other sellers customers or Amazon Amazon's legitimate interests D your account Health rating Falls below our published threshold for deactivation or E if we are required to do so by law uh we'll Pro promptly notify you about such termination uh let's see here so some of the main points as to why people are getting section 3es is something is being triggered in Amazon system typically under point B that's going to be the
(44:17) most common and potentially C this agreement essentially makes it very Broad and says that Amazon can more or less suspend your account at their will um but most people that have been experiencing section 3s have been because of those two points and it seems like something had triggered it so whether it be something changes on a listing a customer gets it and complains that a product is inauthentic um Amazon systems pick up that you may be connected to a illegal uh criminal ring or a someone that's doing organized theft uh
(45:01) specifically it's probably going to be mostly people that are getting dinged for suspected fraudulent counterfeit products um or that you have potential supply chain issues so that's going to be the main reason what triggers it is going to be a variety of different things a lot of it's not going to be even a human that triggers it it's going to be Amazon's algorithms or Bots that trigger it uh but when it does happen it's up to us to navigate the potential suspension and ensure that we're able to get through it
(45:35) okay um so again in that video they go through a lot of things on what you can do but the main way that a Section 3 is going to happen is you're going to get notified about your impacted asens it could be one as it could be dozens of asens typically it'll be a handful of these potentially impacted asens and what will happen generally speaking is your account will have your sent FBA privileges temporarily suspended and your funds will also be frozen generally speaking most people still have access to their account for a period of time
(46:14) anyway some people will lose entire access but most people will still have access and sales can still occur until your interview is completed and what Amazon is warning you to do is to provide proper documentation for these impacted asens and do a live video call with you to confirm that you are the person that is supposed to be on this account you are a real person and to confirm your supply chain and it seems like the a big thing with Amazon as of late is a lot of people have been obtaining products and we know it's a case like I've seen just
(46:51) recent documentaries about people doing organized theft stealing [ __ ] from places like um in like California where they have basically no theft laws now boosting in organized matters massive amounts and then selling those products on places like Amazon and obviously there have been things that have prompted Amazon to start cracking down on this uh they have went through prior phases of massive issues with counterfeit products uh they have been fixing it a lot over the years but there's obviously still an issue there
(47:26) and the probably always will be but they're wanting to crack down on the counterfeit products and the potentially stolen and gray market products so it's up to us to ensure that we have proper documentation and proper supply chain documents as much as we can and so it does indicate in Amazon's terms that when you do get a section three that receipts are acceptable documentation so just because you have a retail receipt doesn't mean that they will not accept it they will they may ask for additional documentation but if
(48:03) you navigate it properly in most cases they probably will not um L professor says what steps should Amazon sellers include in their business process from product purchase to listing it for to sale to address for section three claims so a lot of it is very much so common sense but not everybody follows Common Sense Common Sense isn't always that common so one is Ensure that you are buying from reputable retailers if you're doing Arbitrage or reputable Distributors if you are doing wholesale so before you buy from a place that you're unfamiliar
(48:37) with make sure you do some initial vetting of that supplier uh we do have a video at our guides and resources on a simplistic way to vet a potential OA supplier but you want to ensure that they are a legitimate business for one so you want to make sure that they don't have a really shitty score or I'm like scam advisor or trust advisor uh you want to make sure that they have an actual Google presence you want to make sure that they have a it's not absolutely necessary but you want to double check to see if they have
(49:10) a social media presence and actually some followers behind them because that just is is an additional indication that they are more legitimate ideally they should have contact information on their website and if they do have an actual location listed on there Google search that location and make sure it's an actual physical location and not just somewhere in the middle of the field um some of these places May uh direct you to like a a house because there are some online retailers that are reputable that people are
(49:42) selling out of their house uh that can be fine as long as again they are giving you proper documentation and when we say proper documentation we mean that we're having an invoice or receipt that actually says the actual product and or the UPC code not just like say if you buy a book it just says book that's not going to fly with Amazon you want an actual somewhat of description of the product uh and or the UPC code that's actually matches Amazon and then you want to ensure that you save that documentation somewhere
(50:15) where it's going to be accessible so ideally you're going to upload it electronically because if you have any thermal receipts especially those are going to fade within a couple months so at a bare minimum you should take a picture of it or scan of it and put it in like a a Google Drive and just try to organize it uh if you want to take it like the next step you can start utilizing services like um Evernote or uh QuickBooks built-in receipt system or Hub do or whatever other things are out there so that you can easily find and
(50:44) access your documentation if this ever happens to you um so even if we do all this this doesn't mean that we will not be our accounts will not be triggered for a section three we could do everything absolutely by the book and Amazon systems could still trigger a section three suspension so that's just why we need to ensure that we're prepared for if and when it does happen um Heine flip says I would think just really great Trail documentation so that if this ever happens you can easily access it but we can only prep but we
(51:21) can only prepare for it yes and so like Chris mentions in his video uh they may also ask additional questions about your actual um chain of custody so Amazon obviously knows that not everybody's going to be buying from the brand direct um so not everybody's going to have uh brand authorization letters and that's not what they're asking for they're asking for a trail of okay say I bought this item from Walmart I bought six units they want to see that receipt showing that you bought six units around the time you made a sh shment to send it
(51:57) to Amazon they want you to point in the direction of that shipment they want you to give you that shipment ID for the same amount of units um and then they want say if you if you utilize a prep Center they want to see documentation that those units went to that prep Center and what kind of processes you have in place to ensure that that prep Center sent those units and they sent them they sent the correct units okay and so this may be something that I would encourage some people to if you're utilizing like say a very small
(52:32) unknown prep Center you may want to consider just for more better Peace of Mind utilizing one that is maybe more established more welln um because that will have some waiting if you do use one in the event you ever need to provide that documentation to Amazon if you're just using somebody that's operating out of their garage and they don't really issue good invoices and they don't say they ship this many units or they receive this much or they don't have a A system that says these me these units were in these units were out uh that's probably
(53:05) going to create some problems if this ever happens right whereas if you're doing it in house you don't necessarily need to go through those processes so it's just about ensuring again that we're buying from legitimate places if we see places that are potentially sketchy um just save yourself the headache and just don't buy from them let other people buy from them in RIS their accounts if they want to buy from places that look potentially sketchy um and if you buy from somewhere uh another tip is like say by chance you get some
(53:39) units for free because that does happen sometimes especially with Arbitrage where it's um say you buy a 100 units or something and a company accidentally sends you like an extra 20 that's happened a lot to myself I would actually suggest that you don't send in that additional 20 make sure you have your documentation of what you have on your invoices on your receipts matches what are going into your shipments at Amazon that will give you a much better case and then Amazon will not have any questions of like okay
(54:09) you bought a 100 why did you send it in 120 are these other 20 units stolen because people do do things like that to try to get past Amazon systems to try like basically launder inventory and fence stolen products right so just try to do things as buy the book as we can and use some common sense and ensure that you have your documentation saved and then if you ever do get triggered for a suspension go into it with a business mindset don't go into it being super sloppy put your your documentation together properly make it very easily
(54:50) readable easily accessible exactly what they ask for and exactly in the order that they want and be nice to the person that you're talking to and answer all their questions they're going to be very probing you might answer a lot of questions that maybe you don't want to answer about yourself answer them anyway because they're asking these questions that Amazon specifically wants if you try to teet or tauter around them they're going to think you're trying to evade their questions for some reason or another and that may prompt them to
(55:21) either inquire more or not allow you to appeal the suspension so again keep in mind I am coming from this perspective from somebody that has not went through a section three suspension myself I do know like Melanie in here has went through one herself some other people may have um I think melan situation may have been a little bit more unique compared to most people because of how long it took I think in general most people doesn't take that long uh but that is from all the information I've seen online so far
(55:56) that is kind of what I've gathered to be the process uh Melanie was there anything else you wanted to add at all yeah just um when you were talking about the interview and the questions that they ask I would assume probably 98% that these people are reading from a script and they don't know what the right or wrong answer is supposed to be so the more detail you can go into the answer the better because they're just writing down whatever you say um that would be my advice for the interview like they asked me what's your
(56:34) what's your prep process so I gave it to them from start to from when I ordered the product and when I got here like just details because they're just writing whatever you say or maybe someone else is going over the interview because you don't see the person they see you so I think it's I think they're just reading from a script but just be as detail oriented as you can that's what I would suggest yeah and again the people that are doing it from what we know it's it seems like they are probably contractors like they're not actually Amazon
(57:07) employees and they're from overseas most likely so they're just there they just there to ask questions they didn't suspend you they're not going to get you unsuspended but do it come it from come come to it from a business professional perspective don't go into to it unprepared don't go into it and be like oh there's my documentation here I have some of it over here I have some over there take a little bit of time prepare everything answer things clearly and don't be snarky with them they didn't do it to you and yeah like mly mentioned be
(57:42) very detail oriented and provide all the details that they want and potentially more and the more as as stupid as it sounds um you are probably going to get judged based on your overall demeanor and how professional you are you may be a super great seller and you want to just be like super casual slack [ __ ] around whatever that's probably not going to help you a whole lot in an interview like this B go into it basically like a job interview and then so yeah I I would certainly recommend that you watch the video that I shared because in my
(58:27) opinion it was probably the best resource that's out there right now and then if and when you do ever experience a Section 3 suspension and you do need help reach out and we will help you to the best of our ability that we can to help you navigate it whether it's providing you can reach out to me too I I have two or three people reaching out to me weekly so if it happens don't be afraid to shoot me a DM I'm here to help I don't want it to happen to anyone so if I can help in any way I'm happy to yeah and do it sooner
(59:06) rather than later so like if you get a a section three notification don't all a sudden start looking into it a week later start addressing it immediately because the longer you wait the worse things we'll probably get and I find with Amazon as well if you start submitting information and like say say you submit like a plan of action for something for example um and you submit one that is not what Amazon is looking for and wrong that can actually hurt your case for an appeal that that you're trying to do we're not specifically a
(59:47) plan of action for a suspension three uh but in the event you were suspended for something else and you're submitting a plan of action for something and you submit something that is not what Amazon is looking for it can actually hurt your case and it can actually make it harder for you to get to appeal that suspension so you want to make sure when you're doing these things if they are going to have impacts to your account that you're doing them the right way so if you don't know how to do can I add something to
(1:00:13) that oh yeah of course um if it comes to them requesting um a plan of action a POA do not and I repeat do not do it through chat GB they could tell and they do not accept that and I know that for a fact so your plan of action should be written by yourself and not through any other source yeah and like with everything else um it's always advisable just to reach out to somebody that has went through it and get some solid advice obviously make sure it's somebody that you actually trust and that's not just going to give you some generic [ __ ]
(1:00:53) information uh that's what this community is here for you obviously use the the power of multiple people with multiple experiences to help you navigate these things and I guarantee you many people myself included will assist you with helping and adjusting and making plans of action or preparing for interviews things of that nature so if you're completely lost if and when those things ever happen always reach out because there's lots of resources that we have in here there's lots of people that know other people that can
(1:01:25) assist you even further um it's a support network so if you don't know how to do it or if you're scared to do it or you're very nervous that's what we're here for uh he find flip says is it worth having a channel dedicated to the process of something going through section three like what was the claimed by Amazon what did you provide VI the interview how long did it take to pass Etc doesn't be super detailed but maybe we can learn from other people who have gone through it doesn't seem just as be as section three even further impacts on
(1:01:57) sell accounts yeah definitely potentially um especially if we have people in here that are wanting to share their processes and what they did to go through certain things on Amazon whether it's just like a random suspension having split submit plan of actions getting uh their sh their shipping um their shipping abilities uh suspended all kinds of things IP complaints whatever if people want to share those then certainly we can because that could be a very good resource uh that way we can actually have some data on what was violated
(1:02:38) instead of some vague section 3bs from Amazon for sure um yeah and I think that'd be a good idea because like I've heavily talked about as well in our channels about like IP complaints and C synthesis letters because again a lot of that [ __ ] is very scary and there's a lot of people that misinterpret what those things actually are like I don't think most people actually understand what an IP complaint is right so I yeah I would remind me because I I very well may get preoccupied but remind me and we'll set up a channel specifically for
(1:03:10) that I think that'd be a very good resource anybody have any additional questions comments about section threes or anything else we've discussed so far I just wanted to Circle back to this here briefly because I had this picture here so this is the picture from Amazon us about their updated bundling policies for consumables uh so you can find this if you switch your Celler Central from CA to.
(1:03:46) com uh it was posted on October 14th I suspect again we'll see something like this in Canada very soon uh but they mentioned that they updated their product bundling policy for consumable products and grocery pet baby Etc uh you can only list bundles that are created and offered by the original manufacturer who must be the brand owner for all the items in the bundle so again no more mixing products from different brands this update also means that you can no longer mix products manufactured by different companies in the same bundle nor can you list a bundle under
(1:04:14) the gener generic brand or your own brand so I know that there are some sellers out there that put together like snack packs stuff like that like that's their business you're not going to be able to do that anymore and that's going to completely [ __ ] up those people's businesses uh Anthony says rip Amazon lit yeah I heard that they got their account temporarily suspended because of because of this so but yeah like as far as I'm aware uh I heard that they got their account suspended but they were able to get reinstated within a couple days but
(1:04:42) this is why we should start addressing these things now this hasn't hit Canada yet but as I mentioned previously start auditing your catalog and actually deleting those listings don't just close them delete them uh but yeah let's just get some additional details of what is and what is not accepted and again this is going to most likely hit Canada very soon so any questions about any of that so far or comments anything anybody else would like to share cool so then we'll go on to uh some additional things uh a lot of these will just be kind of
(1:05:28) pumping through relatively quickly then we can get into a general hangout and Q&A but some of these are some important things that I just wanted to discuss so I just want to mention it's under eBay but it's not just applicable for eBay that the Canada Post free shipping Tuesdays ends obviously at the end of this month so I think today is Tuesday it is so today and then next Tuesday will be the last day for free shipping one package through Canada Post so obviously utilize ize that if you are shipping anything with Canada Post um
(1:05:59) try to line up your eBay shipments on Tuesdays if you can and then I also wanted to mention the potential Canada Post strike and this is something that will not just impact eBay it also has potential to impact Amazon as well uh if it does happen as of right now we don't know if it will but if it does happen the earliest potential is going to be for November 3D if they decide to take to the picket line um if they do go on strike it is obviously possible that delivery times will be impacted although we do have other Courier
(1:06:33) options everybody that was going to be shipping through Canada Post is going to be using those additional couriers so your UPS your FedEx Etc and that as well can start impacting receiving times and shipping times through preferred carriers like ups for with Amazon so we just need to be aware that if they do we don't know if they will yet it will trickle down likely to every body um and also delivery to PO Boxes will be greatly impacted if you're selling through platforms like eBay um and or completely halted if this occurs
(1:07:05) because couriers like FedEx and UPS do not ship to PO boxes so you have to make sure you keep that in mind especially if you're selling selling stuff through eBay um if this does happen it would likely be advisable for you to increase your shipping times or your handling times on eBay and remove Canada Post from all your shipping options just to to ensure you're not charge something unexpected because if you don't do that if you don't go in and remove canid post from all your listings somebody chooses a canid Post shipping option and that's
(1:07:34) the cheapest all of a sudden if UPS costs an extra 10 $20 and that's the only option that additional money is going to come out of your pocket so we'll watch it and see if that does happen if it does will obviously let everybody know but it's something that everybody should keep their eyes on because it would even still impact Amazon sellers as well most likely uh we already have Q4 congestion and if they do go on strike it'll probably be even worse which is always lovely I just wanted to briefly mention as well some things that we have
(1:08:11) recently mentioned about tickets in the server uh a lot of these were discussed in our last ticket call so if you do resell tickets in any capacity I would highly encourage that you listen to that call because there were some major changes that have happened um we don't go too too deep into listed in that call but we do discuss some other options but there was a recent change with listed which is one of the primary marketplaces to resell tickets for those that are not full-time ticket resellers um because it's a very easy
(1:08:43) platform to use that used to be that you would get paid for your events immediately uh however they have recently changed it where you'll get paid I think it's 10 days after the event happens so that's a massive change especially when it comes to terms of managing cash flow um because if we're buying events for next year like say in September of next year and we sell our tickets tomorrow we can't get that cash flow back until that event occurs actually next year in September so we have to basically sit on that cash flow
(1:09:17) for that period of time uh there was some screenshots here that Jaden shared about this uh that is in the ticket chat that mentions what this is and also how utilizing listed how you can get through that uh there are some scenarios if you are a decent volume seller that those will not apply to you but you have to have at least six payments totaling $50,000 or more through listed within the last 12 months so for any part-time ticket sellers that probably will not apply to you so if you're just a part-time seller and just
(1:09:53) do it as a hobby or just to make a couple extra bucks you have to keep in mind this new restriction a lot of other platforms um that exist have that restriction like if you sell on like StubHub directly it's very similar selling directly through them a lot of people sold through listed because you can list on a ton of different platforms at once and you didn't have that issue right so in that call we also discussed that there are some other Consignment options available that will sell tickets for you on your behalf for a set fee so
(1:10:23) that is also another option as well if you're wanting to better manage your cash flow or get it back a lot quicker um so we did discuss that in that call and I believe some of the places were also posted in the chat here as well yes they were so there's stage front.com logitech.com and yeah State front and Logistics those were the two main ones that we discussed so those are options where you can still get paid not 10 days after the event happens and then there were also some major updates to Ticket Master last week
(1:10:57) as well so last week Tuesday night uh Ticket Master just quietly made a change they obviously didn't announce it anybody but they now require your otps your onetime passwords to come through via text instead of being able to get via email which greatly impacts those that utilize multiple Ticket Master accounts uh because those that utilize multiple Ticket Master accounts many people would get access to numbers temporarily get those accounts and then be able to get the uh OTP sent to a general inbox like kind of like a catch
(1:11:33) all where you can get them all there so you no longer have to run that phone line right and so if that's you as of right now we can't do that and if you have tickets sitting on other accounts that you no longer have access to the phone number for uh it may right now be impossible to transfer out those tickets if you sell them which is obviously a huge issue I don't imagine it's impacted most people here uh because I don't think we have any full-time ticket sellers yet um but it is something that we obviously
(1:12:05) want to be aware of especially for those that are wanting to go deeper into tickets we don't know right now if this is going to be temporary or if it's going to be permanent but it seems like it was triggered from the data breach that Ticket Master Live Nation had a couple months ago where people were stealing accounts and stealing tickets inside of accounts spe specifically Taylor Swift so they implemented this so again we don't know if this is going to be permanent or not if it is going to be permanent and you do want to look at
(1:12:36) scaling a ticket business uh past just a hobby uh you will want to start looking at options to secure additional phone lines that you have permanent access to whether it's additional SIM cards and you want to try and do that or online phone lines like seat. tools because if this does become a permanent thing uh once everybody knows it those phone lines are going to sell out very quickly so those are some things that you want to ensure that you keep in mind okay so then just some general server stuff I wanted to discuss uh we
(1:13:19) do have a new staff member in the server uh his username is Jong his actual name is Nestor he's our first time actually full-time hire for the server uh I hired him he's from the Philippines so he's basically like one of my VA team he's been with us for I think just over a month now in training and so you will see him post quite often in the server uh he'll be vetting a lot of information putting it in the corresponding channels loading up Channels with other information finding product leads Etc so he's with us fulltime 40 hours a week so
(1:13:52) we'll be getting a lot of good help and expansion from him going forward and then obviously as we as we grow larger as well we will also expand our staff team as well as we go um I just wanted to briefly mention that we do have some new social media accounts specifically for Arcane Society so if you haven't go follow those guys it's Arcane Society HQ on Instagram Tik Tok Twitter and YouTube Once all those guys hit 100 followers each I'll start giving away some free months to people and everybody will be eligible so go
(1:14:31) follow those guys um as mentioned in uh previous announcements from a few days ago I want to ensure that everybody subscribes to our SMS system uh and what this is it is under getting started SMS signup this subscribes you to our text messaging system and the reason why we have this is because uh on Discord specifically on mobile notifications can be pretty flaky a notification can happen and then you don't actually get it on your mobile phone for a couple minutes later it's just how the Discord app works unfortunately so we have this SMS system
(1:15:12) so that if something important really happens and it's only something very important that's very time sensitive or like crazy things that are happening a message will be sent out to everybody that subscribes so like the prior error that we had with Home Depot in the US that should have went out through our SMS system I was too preoccupied with the drop and completely forgot about it but going forward those things will be I tried tagging a bunch of people to wake them up but not everybody obviously sees that so make sure you subscribe to that
(1:15:42) uh and then just whitel list the number um to ensure that if you are sleeping it's really early in the morning that you actually get that notification and you're going to wake up CU at night time it's only you're going to be St that's super important like that Home Depot price error because the potential to make thousands of dollars with that is worth waking up for right uh and then I'd also highly encourage everybody to make sure you have your notifications turned on for the important channels in the server so
(1:16:13) like under important uh specifically things like if you look at flip uh the flips alert right click that channel make sure you turn on notifications for all and if you look at things like price errors for both CA and us right click them turn on your notifications so that you actually will get notified when things are posted in there otherwise you won't you probably won't get them cool so I just wanted to also mention about the recent group buys that we have so if you haven't already make sure you join the utility server which
(1:16:51) you can access through getting started utility server join that guy you won't see anything when you first join but just ping me and I will get you access to it um we have a bunch of other deals Loops uh free food stuff like that in here uh but we have our group Buys so we have one right now for Stellar AIO which is an auto checkout bot uh best price that I've ever seen and according to them the only one that that has ever received a price that good uh most other groups they don't actually give discounts to so
(1:17:25) that is good if you want to start doing Auto checkout yourself and then also a high quality proxy provider I ensure that we actually tested this they do stand up against some of your most popular uh proxy providers like live proxies Etc so they do do very well and they are very price competitive so check those guys out if you you li those Services I'm also in the works for a couple different things for group buys specifically looking at Cyber Soul which is another Auto checkout bot uh Nike shoe bot and TSB or the shitbot I'm not
(1:18:04) as interested in that one as the other two but I am in talks with those guys so we'll see what happens with that and then I'm also interested in looking at basically group discounts for things like an Amazon prep Center and crossb service so if you have any leads on any that could be good potential please forward them my way and then I can start those conversations with them and the goal is to provide the power of many people interested in a service so that we can get a discounted rate on those Services versus the general
(1:18:41) public and then also if anybody has any additional suggestions for any type of group buys for services softwares stuff like that please let me know um I'll also we can uh Circle back to that once we're done going through everything here and then I just want to mention uh some recent additions that we had in the server some of the key ones we have a couple new flip providers so that would be under our flips section so we recently uh added in Ricky and Tai they are people that provide information for potential lowkey flips
(1:19:24) again we have this here anybody can look through the information that they provide uh we regularly monitor these as well and then if they are viable for Canada we revet this information with Canadian details and we will make a drop channel for them or put them in uh flips alert so like for example like this is a magic Marvel drop that's upcoming I think we have a drop channel so yeah uh Nestor he's currently vetting it and we add in additional details for Canada in here so that you can see actually realistic profits some of these some of
(1:19:59) these places will not ship to Canada some of them uh bringing stuff over the Border eats up too much margin Etc so we ensure that we V that information uh also for Tai uh we added him as one of our Sports calls providers so under our sports betting he is providing his calls here similar to chip just thought in as a high volume um still kind of just testing him with his sports information because obviously everybody's a little bit different for how good they do chip does have a very good track history with his calls go
(1:20:36) through ups and downs of course um I've been monitoring TI's calls and it seems like he has a fairly good success rate but I still want to monitor it because we don't want to provide uh information if it's not going to be consistently good uh so if you are following Tai's calls like like I mentioned previously just do so with a little bit of caution because we don't fully know his success rate yet I believe it was last weekend we provided uh or we added a bunch of additional freebie providers in our utility server so again if you're not in
(1:21:13) the utility server make sure you join but I added I think like eight additional providers in here so we get more and more products added in here and we're seeing more come through specifically for can so that's good so we're going to see a lot more stuff coming through here going forward and then also not that long ago probably about I don't know about a month or so ago if you were underwear we started adding some archive channels just so we can keep track of the prior information that we've had specifically
(1:21:48) for flips for sneakers and for tickets so we have the archive at the top of every channel and all the prior drops that have happened are put in there so you can monitor prior drops and you can see how things have performed over time so this is just for again having more information available to everybody and making it very transparent so that you can see you know look at a drop from a few months ago and say okay this is what we expected was going to sell for how do comps actually look like today and then you can gauge on if you want to
(1:22:23) follow those drops going forward if we actually know what we're talking about Etc that's why it's all there so there's one under the drops of reminders for General flips the time sensitive flips that we make drop channels for uh one for sneakers and one for tickets so all the information will be getting fed fed into there and be getting updated every single day and then lastly I just wanted to mention some upcoming changes that will be happening in the near future we're always working on new things and we have
(1:22:58) a large list of features that we're working on and going to be introducing in the future but some that will be coming relatively soon are we will potentially be adding in a stocks provider soon so somebody to provide information about uh day trading with stocks uh I have to ensure that we vet information properly and ensure that it's obviously viable but this may be something that's going to be coming soon it is something that we have quite a long time ago it's just hard to find people that give consistently good
(1:23:28) information so I just want to be very selective uh we will in the very near future be cleaning up some of the monitors that we have in the server so like our restock and scraper monitors we're not going to be getting rid of any but I think we're going to start condensing channels because we are very quickly getting to our server limit for channels we only have 500 and we've already exceeded that uh previously so we might just start bundling a lot of these channels together like we started making something that you don't see already
(1:24:04) where it says like vinyl Electronics tickets Etc so instead of having a channel for say Ticket Master Live Nation and AXS they're all just going to feed directly into the ticket channel right and we're going to start monitoring more events more heavily going forward as well but we're going to start condensing a lot of those channels in the very near future just so we can cut down on the amount of channels that we have I had previously thrown around the idea of having a separate server just for all of our monitors and just maximize the [ __ ]
(1:24:37) out of it but I think that might create issues for notifications ensuring that our our drop channels get fed with those drops Etc so I do want to keep everything into one server as much as we can and the very near future we will also be doing a priority sneaker monitor so similar to like our flip restocks channel uh that we recently implemented here where all of our viable restocks have been getting fed into so you can just basically scroll through here and basically everything will be a profitable item uh occasionally things
(1:25:16) will die slowly and we have to remove them but everything here has been vetted to be profitable previously we're going to do the same thing with sneakers so we're going to have all the very profitable drops specifically in Canada fed into one channel so that if you want to monitor for restocks from many many different sites you can do so for all the profitable sneakers and then in the near future as well because of the edition of Nester uh we will be greatly expanding our feeds info channels in the very near future as
(1:25:49) well so like for example um I know yesterday he was working on implementing a bunch of additional uh art providers or art information for like band posters artists Etc and putting them in the art feed Channel and so we will start vetting a lot more information to ensure it's going to be profitable feeding that into our feeds channels so if you're somebody that's curious and wants to try to find this information yourself cool uh but we're primarily us utilizing that to find potentially profitable drops to bring to everybody's attention in the
(1:26:26) server so that we can have a consistent feed of profitable products that we can provide to everybody so yeah that is covers everything I wanted to discuss so from here um we can open up to a general hangout Q&A uh so basically anything and everything that anybody wants to talk about certainly are open to do so feel free to hop on the mic and have some conversations or if you want to discuss or have any questions about anything we discussed as well certainly feel free uh just to start it off did anybody have any suggestions for any additional
(1:27:05) group buys at all maybe not if you do please let me know but yeah if anybody wants to discuss anything or have any questions certainly feel free we'll open up the mic to everybody everybody anybody I'll talk what's up just a question about the bundle so it's not a regular bundle it's if you have like like you said sugar and you're adding a spoon to it like you're making it its own not like four of something that's not under the Brand's name just to clarify so there are two different things so there's multi packs and then
(1:28:03) there's bundles so multi packs are its own okay um okay when we are listing multi packs we want to ensure that the brand name matches the actual brand so bad example but don't buy Yogi te it's exclusive but say if you had a a multi pack of three different Yogi's you want to ensure that the brand name says Yogi T it doesn't say pattern as a brand uh if it's different don't sell it I have seen where where you said like the not the brand name but even the seller or yeah the seller's name as the brand which is weird because they were
(1:28:39) wanting to make the listing Bally have exclusive access to it oh well that's nice yeah so as far as I just want as far as we know as long as it follows those guidelines it shouldn't be an issue uh the major issue is mislabeled products and products that have multiple different brands inside of one bundle if you have a bundle of products like say you have uh I don't know like method method soap for example and by default on method's website they have one that's like an Applewood a lemon and a grapefruit bundle together and that also
(1:29:21) matches the Amazon listing and everything is listed as it should be that's perfectly fine if it doesn't come from the manufacturer as a bundle and it's not listed properly on Amazon those are going to be what we have issues with see yeah L professor said uh can you explain a group by and he finds flip says potential software services that many would use in this group so we can get massive discount since we were buying as a group exactly so like for example with the auto checkout uh Stellar their regular price I want to
(1:29:56) say is like around $50 US per month uh but because they know that we're a group of people with multiple people potentially interested in the products they were able to provide the service or software at a discount to us L Professor they're not they're not things to be flipping these are things that we would use for ourselves uh in the future we may be able to negotiate things like say larger wholes s deals but if we do that we need to ensure it's done properly and everybody has proper documentation so that we
(1:30:30) don't have issues on places like Amazon but for group buy specifically it'd more so be for like software and services um if we can come to a time where we can contact certain wholesalers and buy massive quantities and split that up between people I would be open to doing so we just have to make sure that's done properly [Music] David you unmuted yourself for a second there did you have something to say I was just gonna share a grave error I made this week or I guess two weeks ago um what happened I realize this is completely my
(1:31:14) fault and I don't deserve any sympathy for it however what I did was I purchased a product from Amazon or sorry from Walmart with the intent to flip it on and I didn't realize that what a transparency code was I just kind of glanced over it I saw that it said that I needed it needed transparency codes but it I didn't really know what it meant to be frank I just thought it was like a code that I couldn't see but yeah I sent it into Amazon and now like I got the fake complaint and I can't get myself out of it it's yeah
(1:31:48) it's been very frustrating them constantly threatening to close my account because I didn't or I bought a product from Walmart but it didn't have transparency codes on it so is it just appearing as like a transparency notification or is it like attached to like a potential inauthentic product Oh the as soon as they got the product inbound they flagged it as fake and it it instantly became a violation like right away so I didn't even get the opportunity to sell one obviously but yeah um the transparency code thing I
(1:32:24) guess it's it's obviously my fault that I was ignorant or incompetent on it so I get it however yeah now I get just got to keep fighting they want me to like accept the fact that I violated the terms and then if it happens again then I get booted it's like a one strike deal um but yeah right now I'm trying to prove through going with to the manufacturer to see if they actually implemented the transparency code thing maybe get a letter from them but yeah they're they're not getting back to me they're from Bangalore India so yeah
(1:33:00) that uh that was my week so let me I've had multiple calls with them by the way uh with the product you purchased from uh from Walmart was it sold and shipped by Walmart or from a third party seller sold and shipped by Walmart okay that's good they've even yeah they've even logged into my account like I gave them my username and password to go check yeah okay so for those that are unaware I mean number one um never buy anything from a third party seller on other Market places outside of Amazon that you intend to sell on Amazon like
(1:33:36) Walmart for example um if it's a third party seller don't buy it because Amazon will not accept the documentation full stop um in this case uh with transparency codes again for those who are not aware um some brands have implemented a system with Amazon it's supposed to be able to help prevent counterfeits uh but it seems like most brands are utilizing it just to control the listing uh where certain listings will require what's called a transparency code which looks like a little tiny uh QR code with like a blue Little T on it
(1:34:13) so we look up transparency code this is what it looks like so this little guy right here um so most cases if a listing requires transparency codes unless you're buying it from a Wholesale Distributor that knows you're selling it via Amazon it probably will not come with that uh most retailers will not have it on there because it's a system basically for Amazon uh right now anyway so retail products almost never have it um sometimes with transparency codes there's a couple things that may happen so number one is if it does require
(1:35:00) transparency code right now when you scroll down the listing technically it should indicate on there something about transparency on this listing um but number two what can happen is Amazon implements the need for transparency codes on that listing after you've already listed it or sold it or sent it in Etc and then you either have the option to sell through your inventory and then going forward new inventory need transparency codes or like with David you have to provide them immediately um with the complaint
(1:35:39) notification that you've received so far David if you could and if you want to I would ask that you actually uh direct message me a copy of the full complaint that you've had with all the correspondents and then I can give you my opinion opinion on how I think you should proceed going forward yeah sure I'll do that yeah because like in some cases there's going to be some times where we just have to um accept the the issue even if nothing was our fault and just try to proceed through it uh but in other cases depending on what it is and
(1:36:18) what kind of potential impacts it's going to have we may want to try to uh go through additional appeal routes and try appeal it as hard as we can just to ensure that we don't have future issues yeah all right yeah I've been I've been going back and forth maybe yeah five times I've called them twice yeah doesn't seem to be going anywhere so yeah I wouldn't mind the advice definitely is this your first major interaction with Seller Support yeah yeah yeah so it almost always works the same way where it seems like it doesn't really get anywhere and
(1:36:58) there's a [ __ ] ton of back and forth so it can be very very frustrating because oh right but I wanted to share actually so the first lady that I interacted with at Walmart so to also call Walmart right because what Amazon was saying was that every time they put in the order ID and my email address into Walmart it was coming back with an error and sure enough everything I've ever ordered from Walmart if you put it in to Walmart it'll say error like they couldn't see that i' had ordered anything publicly and
(1:37:36) so yeah that's why I had to give them my username password to log in directly anyway I thought it was it was very annoying that Walmart you can't just like enter your order ID and email and it'll show any order for sure yeah I don't know if that made sense or not yeah it did um I would advise you uh so because you gave them your username and password if they don't need access to it anymore change your password because oh yeah yeah yeah it's somebody else that's access it and all a sudden start purchasing purchasing stuff
(1:38:14) if you have a save credit card on there um no I deleted it yeah okay good um with before you got the notification was this like right when you're inventory hit the warehouse or did you already make a sale I did not make a sale yet it was just immediately as it got into the warehouse okay so yeah send me uh screenshots of the documentation the entire correspondence uh just blank out any personal stuff and then I will take a look and give you my thoughts on it here I'll even give you my uh username and password for Walmart no no
(1:38:50) I don't want that yeah all right yeah thank you of course uh L professor says do you add CBS fees and cost of inventory purchase from USA uh you can do it oh and he finds flips as answer in here um you can do it one of two ways so if you include additional costs such as freight cost crossboard cost Etc that are not a direct a direct tax credit like Canadian taxes you either do it under the advice of my account you should always confirm with your own you either always include those additional costs as part of your cost of goods or
(1:39:35) always include them just as a general ledger expense don't do a mix of both when you're going to do one only do it that way and yeah Heine flip says also do not cover or cross out the transparency code or even the barcode 100 % that's something that always has to be exposed you don't ever want to get rid of that I I put this the Amazon sticker on top of the UPC but looking at the pictures before I put that sticker on there's there's still no transparency code yeah and that's fine like you should be covering the actual physical
(1:40:17) UPC code but if it ever has a transparency which in this case like it doesn't surprise me doesn't then just certainly don't cover those up I had found this and I wanted to mention this as well so I just looking at some things about eBay because I know a lot of people think that eBay is not a super viable Marketplace and I get it like with Amazon we are very much spoiled with the amount of volume that they have uh however keep in mind that there are other marketplaces that do exist that you can make real substantial
(1:40:49) money on these are stats for the US and these are from a years ago obviously Amazon is the ma major dominator in the online space but a place like eBay is still number two and they still also have a massive amount of traffic and a massive amount of sales every single year so I think these are old stats those these are not updated I think this might be from 2018 so this certainly is probably going to look a little bit different today uh but it said here that eBay at any given time had over 1 billion active listings which is pretty
(1:41:25) insane they have over 180 million active buyers and in the past year they generated over $1 billion in Revenue it is again fairly small compared to Amazon but it's still substantial and there's still people in other marketplaces that make a substantial amount of money and it also mentions here that they have about two billion daily transactions which is quite crazy but yeah there's just a fun little stat that I found that I wanted to mention for eBay for eBay do you just usually gauge like uh volume with comps yeah so like eBay don't get me
(1:42:10) wrong very very different than Amazon uh generally speaking most of the time you're not going to be selling volumes of individual products on eBay uh a lot of eBay is going to be your onesies two Collectibles use products Etc there are people that certainly make a business off of eBay by selling brand new products like you can look through eBay listings you'll see a plethora of private legal products uh directly from China just like you find on Amazon and you'll see a lot of them actually selling um but yeah we don't have there
(1:42:43) are some good tools to gauge sales on eBay like there's uh ter Peak like their research tool where you can see prior sales average sale price Etc you can just log into terapeak I think you just have to search it on eBay uh but the primary and my favorite way is to just look at active listings so when you search something on eBay I'll pull it up here hold on you're going to pull up on my other screen just so I don't if I have any weird searches I don't get exposed to everybody uh say we search for okay bring this guy over so I just
(1:43:22) search for Funko nycc so we can see how many active listings are on eBay right now so 26,000 and then we can see if we filter by solds how many have sold in the last three months so we can very easily gauge on what the sell through rate is and on average how long it'll take you to sell through that inventory and then we can obviously see the average selling price of the inventory as well and that in my opinion is the best way to gauge so like if if a product has like say a th000 listings and a th000 sold that's
(1:43:59) 100% sell through rate that means you should reasonably expect if you have a good listing you're priced competitively Etc that all those listings should sell through in a three-month period and then you can kind of um reverse engineer that to determine on how many units you can actually potentially sell yourself nice David what do you mean by a Walmart CA lead list like for products to be vetted to be sold on Walmart yeah exactly uh potentially but that would be something that' be happening in the way near future or way far future because I
(1:44:44) know nothing about selling on Walmart myself and I'd have to ensure I'm competent before doing that but that might be a business idea for somebody else if the demand is there of course there like um I was wondering as well like um with all of the different I guess uh ways that Amazon can just take your listing out um when you I guess when you get have to like get that inventory back um how do people liquidate their inventory like what are the processes on like other different like other marketplaces or or whatnot it
(1:45:30) really depends on what kind of inventory you're getting back so if you're getting back like a lot of consumables chances are you're probably not going to do too well selling that on eBay uh you might sell some but there's not like a huge Market on eBay for like a lot of General consumable products a lot of those if you're getting them sent back to yourself and not a large volume would probably do better just selling locally on Facebook especially if priced under retail you can get rid of them quite easily um also setting up on places like
(1:45:59) flea markets and stuff you can move through a lot of inventory that way if you have larger volumes of products um and you cannot manage it yourself you can obviously look at Liquidators but most Liquidators give you like literally like 10 cents or less on the dollar it's a very inefficient way to recoup money so unless you have a massive massive amount of volume that you just physically cannot handle yourself I typically would not recommend Liquidators I've been in talks with Danny and her server who does liquidation himself to start potentially
(1:46:35) offering a service where people can remove inventory directly to him and he could sell it for you on consignment uh so he would just charge like a percentage fee which would be nowhere near what a liquidation Fe you would be and if you can't manage it then he could do it for you so that could be an as well uh for selling on like another platform like Walmart unfortunately I'm not very vetted with Walmart so I couldn't give any good advice with that but if anybody else is certainly definitely please share good to know
(1:47:11) thanks definitely but yeah like I think um was something because a lot like again like I mentioned a lot of Liquidators uh they'll only talk to you if you have so much inventory like a lot of Liquidators will not take on Z's two Z's stuff like that or relatively lower volume a lot of them needs like either like hundreds of units or pallets or full truckloads Etc so I think if we were able to put in like a system in place even like in house like mentioned like with Danny um because I know a lot of people either don't like dealing with
(1:47:46) their inventory or just don't have the time to I think utilizing something like that could be very very viable cuz I know like myself included I've went through periods where we just have piles and piles of inventory sitting there that's just a waste of cash flow sitting in the corner and not doing anything with and they sit there forever and you never want to deal with them I get it I I guess if it's food you just got to eat it yeah and uh a lot of food items though especially food items I found actually sell very quickly if you post
(1:48:27) them on Facebook especially if it's under retail oh you do have to unfortunately deal with like a lot of tiger kickers a lot of people's asking is this available never messaging you never showing up yeah but if you're willing to navigate that I do find Facebook can you can sell through a lot of food items very quickly yeah that's we're all the low ballers are people just trying to get deals yep but yeah like some like the price errors that we've had in the server like on random food items like cases of popcorn for like five I as soon
(1:49:05) as I post those I'm able to move them immediately okay so how about everybody else has anybody else experienced any trials or tribulations at all this week or in the last couple weeks that they've experienced any issues and either need help with or have have been able to successfully navigate hey Jordan what's up um I have a quick question so I currently have a list of about um 100 wholesalers and I've opened up about 15 accounts okay but most of the categories like most of their categories are all line so I I
(1:49:55) messaged you in the chat to see if um there's any softwares I can use to scrape their Online category so I could put that uh so I could use a scanning software to scan it and I was just wondering if you had any recommendations and any videos I could potentially just watch and teach you how to use them so so yeah I believe I mentioned to yourself in the one chat that octop parse is an option there are there are other data scrapers like you can use there's actually quite a few of them out there um some are free for like so many
(1:50:27) so much data so many tasks some of them do cost some money of course uh but let me ask you a couple questions here first so yeah for sure are you an established Amazon Seller or are you relatively new I'm I'm new I've never sold anything on Amazon before okay and so all the cataloges that you've gotten access to 15 all of them are online based yes yes um all of them except one one of them um they gave me a PDF and I went through it and so I went through those through that one manually and I wasn't able to find anything that uh
(1:51:06) that would give me profit yep so with the ones that are online have you specifically asked the Reps if they have a an offline catalog like CSV or Excel um I think yes I did in my introductory email I sent over um I did ask them and they all replied back saying I would have to make an account and their catalog is only available online okay so that certainly is the case with a lot of wholesalers but I'll tell you right now as well some of those wholesalers are bullshitting you some some of them they will tell you that
(1:51:45) they only have an online catalog uh but they do have an actual CSV Excel format but they only give those to people that they actually know that they're going to do business with all right uh because like most most Distributors their catalog are like their keys like their keys to their Kingdom and some wholesalers for some reason they really save for their catalogs um okay so some of them you may not be able to get access to at all you might just have to navigate outline that's fine um I would encourage you because you haven't sold
(1:52:20) anything on Amazon I would encour I would encourage you to begin with and I know it's going to be paying the ass I know it's going to be a lot of work I would encourage you to manually Source those catalogs until you're until you're able to put together at least one po okay so software exists software can help you but you're going to learn so much more by manually sourcing them than just going directly into software if you go directly into software you're going to skip a lot of fundamentals that I believe are very important for you to
(1:52:49) learn and you're only how to really learn them by doing it all right and another question I have so what would be the the margins I should be looking for cuz I I took a course and I can't remember his name but he's he's he's a big um us Amazon wholesaler and he was saying around 20% Roi and aimed for $3 profit but I don't know would that would that be I guess would that be good margins or would that be something that should be aiming for when I look at products so let me ask you was the course that you took by somebody named
(1:53:30) Corey well um let me pull it up right now Sor just give me a sec because I bought two courses I bought I bought another one about two weeks ago by oneup FBA and the other one I took was by Larry La braski lebras guy okay like the watch me Amazon guy yeah yeah yeah I saw him on um CNBC or whatever so he looked pretty credible so I got his course so I know I was not cor I know who you're talking about but no okay so I think you're relatively new around our communities um you may you may or may not know I have very strong opinions
(1:54:11) about a lot of gurus and courses um I think from what I've heard I think uh Larry for example I think he can teach you a lot of really good fundamentals and I imagine a lot that you have learned from him will probably help you uh espe especially if you like follow his methods on how to manually Source a catalog um margins though like do you mind me asking how much Capital are you working with um I'm starting off with 7,000 but I have I have cash I I'm currently working right now so I I have cash that I'm willing to pour into the business
(1:54:48) once I see see it growing okay and it may sound weird I'm going to ask you some some what you may seem are weird questions feel free not to answer them no no all good what kind what kind of liabilities do you have for your monthly payments do you have car payments do you have a mortgage do you have a spouse family do you have kids oh I I still live with my parents okay beautiful and I I I have a car payment but it it doesn't break the bank so how much is your car payment per month um with insurance and everything 7
(1:55:22) 100 okay and do you pay any rent or any type of groceries nope beautiful um and so no weather hard expenses every single month besides a girlfriend no and do you mind me asking about on average how much your after tax income is every month probably around say 3,000 okay so you're in a very good position because a lot of people are not in that situation a lot of other people have liabilities they have to look after and if they don't make a certain amount of income they might become homeless with yourself if you're if you're living with
(1:56:00) your parents and they're not going to kick you out that's very good because that means you can take larger risks if you can mentally handle those risks but I would still 100% recommend you I know especially once you get some proof of concept going it may be enticing to over leverage yourself like start utilizing credit cards LS of credit loans stuff like that no yeah I would highly recommend that you do not look at those for at least six months if not like a year plus until you really understand the entire process and make
(1:56:34) sure it's for you okay as for margins so you're starting with a decent amount of capital however it's not crazy um Wholesale in general is going to be generally less margins than you see in Arbitrage that's not saying that you can't find higher margin products products but what's really going to determine the amount of margins that you are able to get is how much buying power you have because most wholesalers they're going to have different tier pricing even if they don't okay I hear a lot of stuff in the background sorry about that I'm at a car
(1:57:15) wash right now so let the top of my car okay I'm just hearing all this random [ __ ] sorry no worries so with when you have more buying power you can you can almost more manufacture your margins with wholesale so like every wholesaler like no matter what they say they're going to have to C your pricing the more you're willing to spend with them in almost all cases the better pricing you're going to get that's just economics chances are with $7,000 you're probably not be able to negotiate really good discounts some some Distributors
(1:57:57) you may be able to get something just for asking but you're probably not going to have a lot of buying power to persuade them to so you might you might be paying market like their their catalog market price so okay you should be expecting on the low endom margin like you should probably be expecting when you're you're just starting still I probably wouldn't advise you to take less than 20% and probably less than about three bucks I think that's reasonable um um but in my opinion with a lower Capital you should
(1:58:26) try to as much as you can Target as many units as you can that move as quickly as as reasonable with as high verions as you can uh try to be very selective with your inventory um and then as you grow as you get more Capital then you can broaden your horizons with the kind of inventory that you get so okay with myself and I encourage a lot of other people to do something similar is to look at asens instead of like just a standard uh dollar profit and Roi look at how much that as is actually going to potentially profit you in a
(1:59:07) month okay so okay like if I'm looking at an Asin and say my profit is $10 a unit uh but it sells say 10 times per month and there's two other there's two other sellers on the listing or just say just say for Simplicity there's currently one other seller on that listing so that means that if it sends if it sells 10 times per month and there's one seller I'll become seller number two if everything is equal that means I should be able to get about 50% of those sales because I'll be seller number two so that means I'm going to
(1:59:41) sell five units myself so that means I'm going to profit about 50 bucks okay it's not going to be that simplistic because there are more things that go into it and with a brand new account you're going to definitely get lower buy boxes distribution it's just how it is until you get more established but when we're looking at longterm that's how I evaluate listings I don't immediately just look at the dollar amount in Roi and disregard something that's outside of that I want to see how much money it's going to make me per month and I
(2:00:06) have myself a minimum threshold per month but everybody should set their own minimum thresholds for myself I want each as to profit me based on my analysis 50 bucks okay so that and that would be if the buy box will split equally correct so if if I'm looking at a listing and say it sells 100 units per month and there's currently three sellers on it I'm going to be seller number four so that means that because I know my account and how we're able to compete and how much feedback we have and generally what kind
(2:00:42) of buy box distribution we get that means I'm going to be selling number four and I'm probably over the course of probably about a month through about four months I'm going to get about 25% if not a little bit higher buy box distribution okay I'm going to sell 25 units myself per month and then when it comes time to then replenish inventory I'm then looking at those same metrics so if I bought say 100 units of this item I sent them in and it took me three months to sell that inventory I'm going to look at it I'm going to say okay so that means
(2:01:17) that on average I sell 33 units per month I on average profit this much per unit I now want to run a leaner inventory because my my estimates to begin with were way over way over estimated I shouldn't have bought three months worth of inventory so now I'm going to cut it down and this time when I order they come in cases of 12 I'm expecting to sell 33 units this month it meets my profit my profit threshold because I'm going to profit three bucks per so I'm going to profit just over just over 100 bucks so because they come
(2:01:45) in case is 12 buy 36 units that's going to be one month worth of inventory for me I'm good with that okay all right and um one more thing I saw because I just joined um this Discord how um I saw that um I could pay $50 if I'm wrong to have an hour with one of the mentors how is that true or was that incorrectly no it's true but and again uh you're gonna see me do different things than a lot of people in most cases I'd probably encourage that you don't need it unless you're having like really difficulty doing something it
(2:02:31) would probably more benefit you to try to learn stuff and then if you're really stuck ask questions in the server you can learn from a lot of people okay and then if you really need personalized help after that then consider that okay sounds good then because all right I don't want you to waste your money for one but for two like that is is there like it is cheap it's definitely undervalued but it's there just so that if people do need one-onone help there is an option there for them okay and reading the keeper chart
(2:03:04) is it similar to like the Canadian um is it similar to how how you would read it in um in a do like doca to.com very different very different so very yes so like the fundamentals are still the same from to.ca but your expectations for the ca your expectation for the ca Marketplace for one should be vastly different we're not going to find a ton of asens that are going to sell hundreds or thousands of units per month we're going to find some but a lot of the asens that we're going to be selling are going to be are
(2:03:39) going to be selling 10 20 30 40 50 units per month so we generally have to go a lot wider okay in Canada than the us we have to find a lot more inventory a lot more unique inventory okay and we need to analyze keepa a lot different we cannot use sales estimators do not use jungle Scout do not use sell amp sales estimator do not use any other sales estimator learn how to actually analyze the data from the keepa drops from the seller stock those types of things so we do have some videos um there's some videos on like uh my my S on YouTube
(2:04:17) yeah so there's stuff there on how to better read keeper charts for Canada I think we did a live session on digging deeper into keepa in our getbook in the server I would highly encourage you to watch those videos okay it's called it's um what's it called getbook uh yeah so like if you're looking at my screen right now uh we have a support and resources Channel and there's a channel in there called guides and resources so you can just click on any one of those links and the GU and resources and it opens up our giit book
(2:04:50) and so all of our prior calls that we've had all of our guides that we have are all inside of here oh no way that's blessed thank you so if you look at like the live calls and uh Q&A sessions we have the live calls for Amazon so like there was there was a keep a deep dive session here on June 26 you can click on that open up the private video and watch that guy sounds good yeah and then all the calls that we do like the one that we're doing right now it's recorded and it'll be uploaded into the getbook as as well if you want to
(2:05:22) reference it in the future all right sounds good thank you definitely but yeah like you it sounds like you're still at the starting stages um yeah so I would encourage you to to dig into that some of some of that info I would also encourage you to potentially slow down on opening accounts and that may count that may sound counterintuitive but you already have 15 that are open so look at it this way you're you you don't have the capital to support purchasing from 15 different suppliers I can tell you that right now
(2:05:58) um okay and if you look at it from the supplier perspective uh if you open up account with them and then you don't purchase from them for three four or six months and you completely ghost them or you don't even uh do a PO with them you're going be like well who the [ __ ] is this guy why did he open an account with us if he's not going to buy from us because most suppliers are going to expect that you're going to open up an account you're going to revie their catalog and then within about a week's maybe two weeks time you're going to be
(2:06:25) placing an order with them all right okay so you have a good amount of accounts open I would highly encourage you that you utilize what you have try to really learn the process dig into those accounts but don't go open up a [ __ ] ton more because you're going to end up ghosting a lot of people you're going to end up pissing people off they're going to close the accounts on you and then if you ever want to try to open those accounts in the future you may have difficulties doing so okay well thank you 100% but yeah like it's it's it's sounds
(2:07:04) like it's a good start because a lot of times just opening those initial accounts are tend to be what tends to be the hardest um it sounds like you probably had a a relatively good success rate which isn't super super common um but yeah I would just highly encourage you to start learning how to Source them now properly and then slowly putting together your your initial your initial POS and then learning Amazon system okay yeah it took me about a month and a half to grab because I was finding it hard to find suppliers and I
(2:07:39) was kind of going to give up and then um a prep Center told me taught me how to find good suppliers or find Canadian suppliers so yeah do you mind me asking what kind of method you you utilized um I was just um say like a brand like Coca-Cola I would go Coca-Cola um suppliers or distrib in Ontario or Coca-Cola suppliers in Alberta and then I would just go from there okay yeah yeah that's that's a great way to get started uh one thing that I also really like to do when you when it does come time where you want to
(2:08:24) look for some more suppliers is to contact those Brands directly a lot of the time oh yeah I also did that yeah so sometimes you'll get accounts with the brands directly but quite often you won't uh but often on their websites you will see there's a list of Distributors across the country that you can contact there or you can contact the distributor directly and be like hey I really want to carry your products I love your stuff um can you let me know what I need to do to open up an account with you or point me in the direction of some of your
(2:08:58) Distributors and then a lot of the time they will give you their distributor list and then you're able to contact those guys and then you can you can contact that distrib you can say hey Stacy from cocacola referred me to you guys uh she told me that you guys are the ones to look out for to open up a catalog and get started selling their products can you let me know what's needed to open up an account with you guys and it actually sounds like the you have an actual referral from that company and it sounds like you have more
(2:09:25) cred than what you actually do I think and is my mic cutting out at all I think I might be having connection issues can everybody hear me proper yeah I can hear you yeah you're good okay I just want to make sure because I've seen like random people's um names like turn like a a little yellow exclamation mark so I just want to make sure I'm not getting disconnected how much uh Capital do you suggest uh someone going into wholesale typically I would say at a minimum you can do it at any at any threshold so don't get me wrong you can
(2:10:18) do it at any but you're going to do a lot better better if you start with like 10 to 20 grand uh you can do it with less I started with less but it's going to be easier substantially uh if you have more Capital 10 to 20 grand is like I would say a starting point it's still like just barely getting your foot in the door um but there's still a lot of Distributors where they have minimum order quantities of like 500 bucks so as long as you can meet that threshold you can buy products from them you're just not going to be able to negotiate really
(2:10:49) good pricing with them and the amount of different skews you're going to be able to buy is going to be pretty low did you also like uh do you use this did you use the same um seller account as the OA in the from the beginning yes so okay when I first started um I went from books to video games use video games to ra to OA to wholesale all on the same account um there may be a time where if you scale at a certain point that some Distributors are going to ask you for your storefront and in most cases if especially if you're established the
(2:11:30) best case is just to just literally send them to your Amazon store if they're a legit distributor and they know you sell on Amazon uh there's going to be some that are going to look at products and if you have like used books in your inventory they're just going to tell you to kick rocks so if you're coming across those Distributors uh at that point you may want to separate it but it's also going to be hard for Distributors to dis extinguish if your OA products are coming from distributors or if they're coming from retailers
(2:11:57) right yeah that makes sense so like do you suggest like I guess uh like maturing like an Amazon seller account with OA first not necessarily just for wholesale um I would say I would still recommend that most people start with like Arbitrage first because it's easier you're going to you're going to make mistakes and if you do it with Arbitrage it's going to cost you less if you do it with wholesale um a lot of times you can't a lot of times you can't return products uh sometimes you can but you're going to pay restocking fee whereas with
(2:12:29) retailers you're not going to have to and a lot of wholesalers if you return products to them they're just not going to want to work with you so you could damage that relationship so I would say to start OA or ra first to learn the process more cheaply you don't need an established account start opening accounts because most I would say I would probably argue 9 plus% of wholesalers are not going to really dig that deep into your storefront uh they may ask you for a website and you can't have a website made and they're not going to take it
(2:13:01) any further uh but for the ones that do like say if you ever want to get uh selling Proctor and Gamble they're going to want to know exactly what you do and you're G to have to spend a [ __ ] ton of money with them okay makes sense I guess like with um Arbitrage you'd have to go like more horizontal but um is it is wholesale different I guess you can go more vertical like you have to uh I guess with more volume because you're taking a lower of an Roi it still depends because there's still products that are out there
(2:13:36) depending on what you're targeting that still have a high Roi with wholesale products generally generally speaking they do tend to be more expensive items and in categories like Collectibles and electronics um there are still some other things that are going to be untapped that have higher margins but as a general rule you're going to have typically lower margins with wholesale and in that case then yes you do want to make it up with more volume it doesn't mean that you have to only find products that sell Mass amounts of volume it just
(2:14:11) means that you either need to make it up that way or still with a more variety of products similar to maybe what you're doing with Arbitrage today uh when I did Arbitrage though like my myself I basically treated Arbitrage like wholesale whereas I would be buying products uh certain I I don't want to give away too much info but uh with certain requirements and I would consistently go deeper on them and I'd find a lot of Arbitrage products I would sell 50 60 70 100 plus units per month with Arbitrage products and I sold them consistently for a very
(2:14:48) long time so I myself basically treated Arbitrage like wholesale at that at that point okay okay so like you like figure out how much potentially you could sell uh based on the competition and then I guess based on the supplier whatnot like I guess the source you would then treat it as like wholesale and just go from there so my process was relatively similar just like different Logistics from Arbitrage to wholesale um but so with most products I would yeah I would determine on my estimations on how much I figure I can sell per
(2:15:29) month and then I would buy that and actually test that data and then once I actually had real data then I know how much I can actually sell per month then I would consistently go deeper in those Arbitrage products up until I could carry one one and a half two months worth of inventory uh back before a lot of restrictions I was carrying up to three months worth of inventory uh consistently uh assess that data when it's time to restock and I would Target a lot of retailers that had a larger Supply so I could more easily get more
(2:16:08) inventory from one place I would Target places that may were maybe a little bit more difficult to source so they had additional obstacles or barriers for a lot of people whether it be products that are more difficult to prep that are larger that are ra only so additional barriers where maybe other people didn't want to do it um so those products for me they ended up being more stable and then I would also I didn't always do it successfully but I would always try to talk to a sales manager be able to communicate with them directly Place
(2:16:48) orders through them directly uh so that I didn't have to go into the store so at some point for a couple of the retailers that we bought from I was able to just send a message a text message or an email to the sales manager and say hey this is what I want so basically like a PO they would either either have it available in the store already or they would order it from me and they say okay it'll be available this day and they'd have it in the back of the store on a pallet and we could literally they bring a forklift and they would load it up and
(2:17:16) we would rent a U-Haul truck grab a [ __ ] and leave okay that's nice not all of the retailers that we bought did that but some of them did uh but that's how I tried treating it when I was scaling Arbitrage near until we basically almost uh entirely trans transitioned back to wholesale yeah and I was I was also going to ask as well like I guess like when you said uh um I guess extra loopholes for some of those uh sources um I I know that some of those sources also will have like quantity limits and all that kind of stuff and I guess
(2:17:57) even you'd have to get around it by like creating separate accounts and all that kind of stuff I was wondering on like how people manag that uh to like make a lot of like to get a lot of orders through so are there any sources in particular that you're asking about that may be more publicly known um let's see an example even like even like uh let's see I have one in mind oh even even like something like London drugs or any of those like just that might have like a limit and then is it just I guess it's just a test you just go through
(2:18:37) testing just um buying past the limit or like up to the limits and then just ordering again seeing if you can do it with the same account if you can't create a new account all that kind of stuff yeah like I personally found and obviously retailers can always change things but a lot of retailers if they had purchasing limits like Walmart was one we purchased a lot of inventory from they'd have a limit of 10 units on their inventory but I just tried one day purchasing back to back to back to back and it was fine and they sent them all
(2:19:06) and London Drugs was the same thing I never had issues with L drugs cancelling uh orders unless they didn't have the physical inventory uh the biggest challenge with Lon drugs was purchasing within like their six order limit but also attempting to get free shipping that was more of a pain in the ass yeah exactly yeah like I'm it's like all those like it's like I either you might get through the quantity limit thing but then there's like shipping price and then there's like so many things to like consider what you should guess what you
(2:19:36) should try that probably 99% of people won't do if you have a lone in drugs where you are go in there and talk to the store manager be like hey this is what I do I try to order from your guys' site it's pay in the ass get around it but it sucks you probably have sales targets I'm trying to give you money can I place these orders through you you get them in here I'll pay you up front I want a 100 units of this inventory I will pay you today I just need a receipt can I do that you order them in here and I'll come pick them up
(2:20:12) from you try that yeah that makes sense you're you're you're probably going to get refused sometimes um but every once in a while you're GNA the guy the the person that you're talking to is going to be like yeah we can do that let's make that let's make that work just try to approach them in a very professional manner and try to make it as frictionless for them as possible oh okay okay so I guess uh for the sites that you'd have to like make multiple accounts or multiple emails and stuff like I guess do you guys ever go
(2:20:46) through that and like how do you guys manage that like with the multiple emails and and all that kind of stuff I guess you could do the whole create an account that all sends to that one email yeah like you can do like a catchall email like that's easy with especially like if you have like a professional Google email um I never personally went that that deep into making so many new accounts with retailers because in my view it just wasn't worth the time if I had issues where they limited me or they started canceling orders
(2:21:18) consistently I just personally stopped sourcing from that place but if you are putting the time and the effort again that's a barrier of Entry a lot of people probably won't they probably will give up and if you're consistent in find ways it'll probably end up being profitable for you in the long term okay nice yeah because I've only only noticed issues like for example like with the Walmart or like if I find like a pricing error or something then like after like like the second or third order would start like cancelling and
(2:21:48) then I'd have to like keep on going until it doesn't cancel yeah and like every retailer is gonna be a little bit different like espe if it's a price error like we never know what's going to happen like with that Home Depot [ __ ] we didn't know if they're going to ship or not but I seen online where somebody else found this price error they ordered I think it was 200 Grand worth of [ __ ] and it shipped damn they it was $200,000 retail and I think they paid 20 grand wow yeah and it shipped it all shipped that's crazy yeah so I was I was
(2:22:22) kicking myself cuz I didn't want to like I didn't want to try to abuse it CU typically the more you do the less like it is to ship I like oh they're shipping everything I should have abused the [ __ ] out of it I should have maxed all my cards that's exactly what I did I saw a crazy Lego flip and yeah like like a Lego era at Walmart and I just kept on and then they canceled it and then like every second order I would do they would not cancel so I just kept on going yeah and see like doing things like that people
(2:22:50) might get a first cancel like [ __ ] it but if you're persistent all sudden you might find something that works yeah it just didn't work for the the PS5 like the PS5 like on on the limited edition yeah yeah yeah I just kept getting stuck on that page and I and I went through like I got all the way through just didn't get that confirmation email and getting stuck on that page yeah and like I was the same thing and then it was like yeah I think I was trying like probably like 20 30 minutes and I was like [ __ ] this
(2:23:25) and then like not long after that then Nick said he got one I'm like [ __ ] he persisted longer than I did son of a [ __ ] exactly like I had like multiple tabs it kept refreshing then going back to the page where I had to like input my like credit card information that was like all automatic so I just kept pressing to the next page and just the site was like crashing out oh yeah the site was super cooked yeah it was done yeah but yeah may maybe persist a little bit longer could have go maybe maybe maybe that would have been good that
(2:24:01) would have been good but the Home Depot one oh man I missed that one and like that it was kind of surprising of like how long that stuff stayed in stock for too yeah there was probably stock people could buy stock for like probably like an hour plus which is crazy that does that almost never happens but that 200k to 20K flip oh my gosh let me see if I can find that picture and I'll see here I swear I've seen that on Twitter somewhere oh yeah that was Doom too so I didn't even set up um CBS and all that stuff so gotta be
(2:24:42) ready yeah make sure you set it up now yeah I'm gonna set that up definitely have you ever seen any like that crazy uhca uh errors not that crazy um we certainly do get some errors here and there in Canada but I've never seen one quite like that air compressors were fun from Walmart yeah those were good and not like obviously Home Depot but that was a good one yeah there was the a dollar 7080 air compressors for [ __ ] dollar yeah yeah you'll see like sometimes light bulbs here and there are priced like like a cent or something so look at
(2:25:28) my screen right now oh man that's insane someone said I'm following for the shipping [Music] confirmation yeah that's crazy it said it canceled but I'm quite certain I seen that it shipped so but yeah wow but yeah I was that night I was like just ready to go to bed and then I seen people post and put this on Twitter I'm like oh [ __ ] I gotta get back up that's the only time I will you know go on like Facebook Marketplace and accept low ballers but yeah like so those are more for local flips right for what are those
(2:26:23) more for like local flips for the tools yeah yeah most likely like those would definitely do very good on eBay 100% like easy but they will also be very easy to sell locally and you know when you when you get some in cash just put it in your pocket don't talk about it exactly save 30 40% just like that that's why I said [Music] local but yeah I have such such a major backlog of stuff like from uh pending returns to products that I've bought and like hyper relas and stuff that I need to list like I just haven't had the [ __ ] time I have so
(2:27:12) many like pending drafts in eBay that I got my brother to do I just haven't listed them yet so like I bought like these um Hot Wheels RLC Mainline sets like I don't know probably four or five months ago still haven't listed them it's probably even longer than that I'm pretty sure they were like I don't know a thousand bucks each don't hav't [ __ ] listed damn how do you manage all that like it's a pain in the ass I I have like uh so like with eBay and local stuff I basically use an exact copy of the inventory tracker that I put in our
(2:27:53) resources um it's not it's not pay the ass to keep track of it that way it's just a pain in the ass to have the time to list everything and so I get other people typically do listings for me but I usually want to do like the the last review just to make sure that there's nothing [ __ ] especially like with Collectibles make sure everything's included make sure pictures are proper so I just have to go through and basically approve it I just haven't had time for quite a while [Music] yeah that's money waiting it is 100% it
(2:28:27) is got some of those uh Travis Scott medium olives whenever dropped like a month or two ago haven't even listed those and those are like six to $800 shoes the good thing is I guess the market is not GNA die down for both yeah for pretty much everything yeah anything I'm gonna buy it's certainly things do dip but it's just a lot less a lot less likely yeah let's see what those Hot Wheel sets are selling for right now I don't even remember what I paid for them I think it was around like 800 or th000 bucks 2023 RLC main blind set I
(2:29:16) think I have four of them yeah these guys are selling for like 1500 1300 1500 yeah and they're just sitting there [ __ ] that's why um like a month ago I posted those Jack Skeleton dolls in our Marketplace cuz like I have these I could maybe one person just wants them all and I sold them in like 10 minutes so I'm like cool maybe I'll maybe I'll just post a bunch of the [ __ ] that I have but haven't gotten around it did you um did you get into eBay the same time you got into book selling no I've been selling on eBay for
(2:30:12) quite a while uh I want to say I think I sold like my first thing on eBay when I was like maybe like 13 14 never took it really seriously um had like ups and downs where I'd sell go a little bit harder on it with like thrifting and stuff or selling like just weird odd things here and there uh I told somebody not that long ago I don't remember who it was but uh quite a few years ago when McDonald's still had those coffee cards with the stamps on them uh I I found out that people were selling them in bulk on eBay so I'd buy like a pack of like 500
(2:30:50) or a thousand of them and then I would piece them out and sell them in tens so I was able to sell like 250 for the amount that I paid for 500 and then I had 250 free coffees so I used to do like random [ __ ] like that um yeah just like in the last the last probably two three-ish years been taken a little a little bit more seriously nice yeah David said I got another weird issue I can share if the topic changes yeah man go ahead what's going on yeah I bought a whole this was from your lead list okay not that it
(2:31:32) matters this could happen to any uh lead but I bought a whole bunch of this one product then halfway through someone changed the color of the product and then I kept getting one star reviews saying it was the wrong color and I'm 99% sure it was the right color because they don't actually make it in silver never have anyway it also said like it used 120 volt um it had all sorts of airs on the on the L or on the listing that made no sense but yeah it it just randomly changed on me so I don't know if that's ever happened but yeah that definitely
(2:32:13) does happen thankfully it's a relatively not common issue uh but listing hijacking certainly do happen uh if you could I'd like you to send me direct message me that as because I want to take a look at it um but it's relatively hard for a lot of people to make changes on listings um like a lot of changes that you try to submit into Amazon just will not get approved and they're supposed to all be manually reviewed not saying that they are because they obviously are not um but yeah from time to time some people do [ __ ] with
(2:32:44) listings just to [ __ ] with other people or they attempt over time to hijack it and they're basically trying to change it from one product to a completely different product that certainly happens but it's fairly rare so it's something that you shouldn't have to deal with that often thankfully but with the like you got uh one star seller feedback is that correct yeah and I gave him a refund so just did you try to attempt to remove that feedback no I didn't always do it was fair it was totally fair no no no no no uh it doesn't matter if it's
(2:33:21) fair it doesn't matter if you completely [ __ ] up go into your account right now if you're on your computer open your feedback and then on the ones that are negative uh you can click on like the little drop- down arrow thing and then click request removal it it'll ask you it says does it meet all these terms just say yes even if it doesn't click submit and then it'll tell you right away if it auto removes it or if it doesn't if it doesn't then you can submit it further most cases it'll automatically remove it and you want
(2:33:49) that [ __ ] off your account always do that even if you completely [ __ ] up always do it because that impacts your account all right yeah cool do it yeah do it do it it now I'm doing now messed up you still can um get it removed regardless yeah like in many cases Amazon just Auto removes it because their system it's supposed to detect if it has anything to do with the product and like not your actual service itself it's not supposed to be on your your seller feedback it's supposed to be like a product listing issue so most time
(2:34:28) they get Auto removed there's every now and again they won't but if it's still a actual product issue like say in this case it's a different product you might be able to appeal it directly to Amazon even if you get declined potentially but chances are most of them will probably get Auto removed I mean I'd be pissed what Melanie would you would you suggest appealing cuz I had one where someone said your product's fake yes and try to appeal it like I wouldn't I wouldn't spend I wouldn't spend an egregious amount of
(2:35:09) time like if they decline your appeal it is what it is but always try to appeal it if it doesn't get Auto removed okay um I always open a case and it's always go to I don't know why yeah but like feed like your feedback has a direct correlation with how many sales you're going to get even when you're super established so you'll find this is speculative but I've seen it happen to so many people myself included so I take it as truth but it seems like especially when you're just getting established if you get a negative feedback your sales drop off
(2:35:52) for a period of time instantly and then they slowly come back uh as you get more and more established uh negative feedback here and there is not going to have as big of an impact but if you have a influx of negative feedback all like within a short period of time experience the same [ __ ] and you don't want that to happen all right well I've got an update for you it just got removed so thank you sweet yeah whenever you get those Auto request removal in a lot of situations as well so like okay you issued the refund fine it is what it is in a lot of
(2:36:42) cases it's again disclaimer Case by case I would even argue that if somebody just left a negative feedback and didn't contact you don't do anything don't don't issue refund just request removal if they want to refund they can contact Amazon there is some very rare scenarios where it's like okay yes I would issue a refund directly most of the time we pay a [ __ ] ton of fees to Amazon they take care of customer service for that reason let them deal with Amazon they're not our customers yes we should do everything
(2:37:18) that we can to give people a good experience but if they need service if they need to deal with to refund or return they can talk to Amazon we don't just say when if somebody messages you say talk to Amazon like you know hey thanks for reaching out uh because this was fulfilled by Amazon uh Amazon takes care of customer service uh go through your account you can contact them directly and they'll help you out don't don't be a dick about it but let let Amazon take care of it so just back to that guy that was talking about
(2:37:48) starting wholesale opening 15 accounts or whatever yep and having a whole bunch of money to spend I started in June however many months that is 10- 6 yeah four months I've been doing this four months I've already had a violation to be removed from Amazon I've already had over $1,000 uh lost like completely lost I've had a listing hijacking I've had things lost in transit I yeah I certainly would not have started wholesale like just the amount of things that can happen it's yeah it's pretty wild it certainly takes a a bit to be
(2:38:32) able to navigate the waters properly with your stuff that was lost um so like how long ago did that happen August they refunded me the money by the way okay beautiful yeah so so yeah like again in most cases you will get refunded there are some cases where you really have to fight it's just how Amazon is and like don't get me wrong like so like Amazon I don't think is intentionally trying to [ __ ] anybody which a lot of people think is happening they're just they're at a scale it's so big and it's just hard to operate a
(2:39:12) company efficiently with what they need to do when they're at that scale okay so like yes it's their fault yes they do lot of stupid [ __ ] but I don't think they're intentionally trying to [ __ ] anybody which some people have that connotation at the are no no no no no I'm just saying oh hell no like that's why I'm not stopping that's why I'm not quitting right like I don't feel personally attacked it's just like I couldn't imagine all the stress that I currently have losing like 100 here 100 there versus a thousand here a thousand
(2:39:39) there yeah like when you when you lose a a shipment that's like 50 60 Grand then that's a little stressful yeah yeah like I couldn't imagine but that's why like you just need to learn the process and how to deal with and how to navigate the stuff and make sure you're making informed decisions and not putting yourself in a position where you cannot handle what you're doing it's why it's very important to do things gradually because I could certainly see like somebody thankfully I haven't seen it personally I guarantee you it's
(2:40:15) happened but I can certainly see somebody as super ambitious will willing to like like go balls to the Walls w to want to come in do it not think about everything from the [ __ ] up perspective that Amazon is put 50 100 Grand into it like that and all a sudden something just completely [ __ ] up it's like oh like I bought from a uh a distributor I shouldn't have they're asking me for my supply chain documents uh this distributor doesn't provide me proper invoices or receipts they think I sold fraudulent products my now all my
(2:40:46) inventory and my funds are frozen and I can't get them back and my my credit cards or my line of credit or my loans are maxed out and I have a [ __ ] house payment I need to make tomorrow guarantee you that's happening that's a not a good situation for anybody to be in earlier you were talking about how you shouldn't if like if you buy a 100 you receive 120 don't sell the 120 or don't sell the 20 right correct yeah I did that and now I'm just waiting to see what happens so like so chances are you'll be fine okay
(2:41:18) I've done this same thing there was a time where I bought I started buying a [ __ ] ton of stuff from one OA company uh just uh a brand direct uh I was spending probably between1 to $20,000 a month on their products just an online Arbitrage products and uh there was one time where they sent me an entire case of product for free and I'm pretty sure they is completely [ __ ] up and I think in a case was 120 units and I want to say each cost was like around seven or 8 so so I so you go like $7 710 they sent me
(2:41:52) like $8 $900,000 worth free [ __ ] I was like oh like that's [ __ ] sweet and I 100% sold them um but with the changes that have been happening like with these section three reviews and stuff because of that today I just would not just in case I would sell them other avenues outside of Amazon chances are you'll be fine but you just want to cover your ass just in case it's a nice local flip 100% but see like that's happened to me so many times where I've gotten free [ __ ] it happened to me once at Costco okay so uh we would
(2:42:30) go into Costco it was um me and my brother would go in together we'd both get a bowler cart like one of those orange flat carts and uh we take my parents Minivan and or grand care van whatever not a minivan and we would go in get the [ __ ] that we needed uh go to cash register come out put in the van go back in do another load we did that all the time and just straight botting out this van and the one time we went through a register uh and I didn't notice it at all but I was buying I think it was 48 of one product and the cash the cashier
(2:43:10) instead of putting it in as 4 48 they charged me for four okay so that that was all like 40 some free products we went back uh when we came out unload the products went back in to a different cashier did the exact same thing so got another like 40 some prodcts for free and it end up being like I think like a, or 1,00 bucks of free [ __ ] and that's happened so many times like not at that scale but it's happened so many times at different retailers I've shopped at yeah I've probably gotten like probably close like
(2:43:43) 10 grand of free products over the the years that I've been selling by mistake yeah that happened to me as well where like I think I like sport check I was just buying a bunch of different items and then they would like they would scan the Lesser priced items like double or like triple and then they wouldn't scan the higher price items yeah yeah and I was and then I would look at it after and I was just like wait I I definitely bought this why is it so low that's what I it's it's nice when it happens I'm very much like Karma based so like if I
(2:44:28) would never intentionally try to do that but like I mean if it happens and it's not a mom and pop shop whatever if was a big Corporation eh um my dad gets pissed off when that happens because he sells on Amazon too he's been selling for a long time he's like that never happens to me it's happened to you so many times but he's also like intentionally tried to like go to a retailer and they say like oh like how many units do you have he has like 60 he was like 48 and then they count and then they count them and they're
(2:44:57) like no you have 60 he's like oh sorry I'm like you can't you can't intentionally try to [ __ ] rip off these retailers dude yeah hey Jordan what's up does the am for to get oned in categories does that Amazon um Strat does it still work where you make a new account that is in Prime and you s the invoice or has it been patched it does still work but they've changed it in recent months where instead of having to buy 10 units they've increased the requirement if you're using an Amazon invoice to 50 oh wow yeah so can you can you return
(2:45:41) those units after or no technically you can but I would not advise you to because I want to say doing so probably goes against some type of some types of terms of service and if it's going to jeopardize your account I wouldn't uh you can utilize other retailers instead like Staples preferred or Staples business is known to work quite well you can open one of those up even without being a business uh it's free it's free and you can buy all kinds of [ __ ] from Staples Electronics groceries toys so you can use staples to
(2:46:16) get ungated for almost anything okay let me write that down and what about um can I asked somebody what about well.ca would that work or no some people have done it successfully with well but I think it's kind of a mixed bag if it works or not okay I use soccer.com and bought 10 soccer socks what's crazy is I did that as well it did not work at all what that was like my first yeah that was like my first experience of like trying to ungate and it just did not work and then I just I was like I don't want to unate
(2:46:58) anymore I'm just going to try and just grow my account and just hope that everything just opens up and yeah it ended up opening up so which was good so when you submitted that though how many times did you try submitting it oh like I don't know like 40 times oh okay and like changed like different things here and there well that's good because most people like subit get to clim like what the [ __ ] and give up but in that case you actually give it your all so that's good yeah yeah the only success was Leo that's that was the only
(2:47:29) success most of them if you're persistent enough and it's a valid like invoice it'll work eventually but if you try 40 times then they might not just be budging but they're not like none of those are valid invoices even soccer.com yeah but that's the thing it just has to look like one just look yeah yeah but they but but there's always something like you kind of have to even like and then you have to kind of like modify it a bit and I don't want to get to that point of modifying yeah yeah so full disclosure and this is why I tell
(2:47:59) people not to do certain things is because I've done it I've 100% London drugs used to work work for ungating okay because London drugs used to like I think they still do their receipts almost look like invoices online okay uh but it says like on on their invoice it said like in BL letters up top it says receipt okay so what we would do is we' buy from London Drugs we would go into Photoshop and just fill that in with the white background y um but you should not do that that's modifying invoices that will be a
(2:48:33) permanent suspension it won't even be a suspension it will be a ban you will never get your account back if Amazon detects it so I 100% risk doing it and there were some products that I may or may may not have actually did an invoice and put products that L drugs doesn't sell on the invoice to get un to certain brands but again you shouldn't do that that is full like modification not even just thinking of the receipt part I found out I was better at Photoshop than what I thought but do not [ __ ] do that because I've
(2:49:06) heard of people getting permanently banned for doing [ __ ] like that yep yep yeah I didn't even risk it yeah you said the the website was called soccer.com orc xer socer x.com I think yeah if I believe let me see right now no just soccer as in the sport soccer.com and I bought so soccer socks Nike soccer socks yep soccer I can send you my invoice you edit it on with your name and you're good to go just kidding can you get on gated using like Doom webs like does it have to be a Canadian distributor or no I used my I
(2:49:47) used like lego.com both Lego for andca so oh wow yeah well now I'm hard hard gated for lego.com for like.com but yeah um hey I have a question what's up um for those who utilize the service of PR centers um do they do you guys normally do you guys give um per limited permission with your Amazon seller account or you just use the services of like third party software like um inventory lab I think most people do either or like there's a lot of people that do give child permissions to a prep Center you just have to make sure that you
(2:50:42) don't give them anything that you wouldn't trust them with and obviously you need to be able to trust your prep Center um but yeah I've SE I've seen people do both I think in most cases most prep centers need some sort of minor access just be able to do the entire process for you okay um because uh I that's the reason I got inventory lab just because I didn't want to give anybody like the going my Essential account and give anybody permission to be honest uh because on inventory lbby can just the um the list the inventory and list so
(2:51:23) and leave it at that yeah and if they I've never used inventory lab but if they can do everything that they need through inventory lab then yeah all the better then you don't have to worry about it no I just I also wanted the perspective like of persons that like do use prep centers even the fact that um it's new to me that's I know my prep team myself of course are you have you come back to Canada at all Ron or you still in Jamaica I'm still in Jamaica okay um I'm still my can are uh they doing the a little bit because obviously
(2:52:06) stuff not sending in but for anybody that's in here that utilizes a prep Center anybody want to share what their process is like maybe maybe not Melanie I believe you use a prep Center sometimes prep Center if you call my two hands a prep Center then yeah no you don't you don't ever use I'm exhausted I thought you did use one no not even no I'm tired I can't do much more you been prepping hard today or what yeah TI you you you you can't even imagine what this place looks like go to bed if you're whatever you think it looks like
(2:53:02) it's way worse sounds painful it's a good problem I'm try problem to have I guess I guess it is a good problem but you know the sales I'm almost at right are you almost at 50K big F yeah I [ __ ] told you you're gonna do the end of October I don't know I I it says on seller amp I'm going to hit 49 whatever I don't I don't see it happening but I'm close but we'll see October what's uh what's Nick at I don't know he he he's he doesn't talk to me much anymore because I think beating him too [Music] bad um but he's he's close but we have
(2:53:56) very different business models right for sure he he does the stuff mostly from the states and I don't um but it's it's if you saw what I was I I you know if if you didn't see all the products I would take a picture you would be like flabbergast what was happening but I do have tomorrow um my friend's niece she's going to come help me for four or five hours yep besides that I don't know I have a prep Center lined up if I want it but I'm so cheap well you know my opinion on utilizing prep Center so one thing I
(2:54:39) always wondered is I've always noticed people that go to prep centers always go back to in-house like why is that so I do want good question I do want to answer that question but Lockton just asked a question here about a retailer get ungated from Matel so uh you if you search in our Discord uh there is a list that I provided for toy wholesalers just look up from me uh and to I think toy distributor and you'll see a list but you can also I imagine you can use Staples Staples probably has metel products and you can also use you can
(2:55:16) also use Amazon um for utilizing prep centers yes that one yes that one I use Canadian Tire from ital by the way can work y interesting I don't know yeah just say it's a fluke but it worked I believe I want um it's been a long long time but I want I want to say Everest wholesale I believe they are pretty easy to get account with and I think they sell Mattel um it's been many many years since I've uh ever sourc from them though um for the prep Center so my thought process is people end up seeing the reality of things and then
(2:56:03) making adjustments so like I've always told people that prep centers are nice don't get me wrong and they have their place but I think most people are just too lazy and they want to Outsource things that they don't have to um because you can do prep completely inhouse even Outsourcing it for substantially cheaper than you can with a prep Center obviously everybody's situation is different so like if you have an apartment um and you don't have access to any additional space if you have a problem trying to manage people
(2:56:36) if you have some weird anxiety stuff that you can't talk to people obviously like that's going to create issues right um and prep centers more or less make things hand hands off so if you're doing it from another country if you want to be very hands off 100% get it but when you're spending like on average a dollar1 101020 per unit and you expand that across 10 20 30 plus thousand units per month you can see how quickly that adds up when you're able to produce that same amount of units in house all expenses included including your
(2:57:08) building rent your insurance your utilities your labor your supplies for about half if not less than that amount you can see how much more that can add to your bottom line just for making that simple change you know you can add an additional five 10 $20,000 per month onto your bottom line just for bringing it back in house and I think once people scale to a certain point they realize that and they're like oh [ __ ] I'm wasting a [ __ ] ton of money okay that makes sense um then how do you like scale scale that for what
(2:57:41) like scale in-house so I guess it's just hiring uh people to help yes but like so are we talking scaling operation for Arbitrage or for wholesale or for both uh both okay so I think in either case I think you could scale businesses similarly I think it's just a bit different if you're scaling it aggressive with Arbitrage but at a certain point you're only going to be able to do so much by yourself okay um a lot of people are very capable and a lot of people can do a [ __ ] ton themselves it just depends on your ability
(2:58:19) and how focused you are but there's people that can run a one to two person team and do even upwards of eight figures per year not everybody can do that so whenever you're maxed out you need to find some sort of help the easiest help to Outsource is prepping so that should be the first thing that you outsourced whether it's a prep Center or in-house it's very easy to teach somebody and if you teach somebody good enough for relatively short period of time put a good process in place they can do it and there is a very minimal
(2:58:52) risk of mistakes very easy to Outsource um the other thing that so once you hire somebody that's going to prep for you it'll probably be for most people like a casual part-time person probably somebody that you know uh you probably won't have enough work for somebody to do full-time the idea would be to eventually to keep scaling your operation where you're purchasing they're prepping and you're you're B basically trying to get them into fulltime or add on another part-time help when you get to that point they're
(2:59:23) going to be able to prep more units than you're able to purchase per day on average then you have to add in another somebody to help you with purchasing SL sourcing that's a lot harder to teach that's a lot more logistical um a lot more nuanced but that is going to be have something that you eventually Outsource to if you want to scale pass a certain Plateau so you then have to add in that additional source SL purchaser and then once you have that you guys are going to greatly assuming that your Capital can keep up with it
(2:59:55) greatly overproduce what the preppers are able to produce and then it's going to be a back and forth from adding on the additional prepper one you need to adding on additional sorcer SL purchaser and fine-tuning it back and forth until you reach really a good EB and flow between them that makes sense yeah yeah because I guess initially like I guess when things start going you you have a lot uh like to buy so like you can buy so much there's just so much lead so I guess capital is the really the issue and then then I guess
(3:00:34) it comes to a point where you need prep and then after that then the prep keeps up as you mentioned okay yeah but in my opinion unless you're able to get a investor a very Hefty loan uh capital in most cases is always probably going to be an issue um we still have Capital issues today like I'm able to spend all of our money very very quickly um so it's a matter of being able to find that additional capital for a reasonable amount of money and be able to grow sustain uh sustainably what's that word sustainably
(3:01:14) sustainably sustainably yes um it's been a long day it's be able to do that substain whatever we get you we get you Jordan able to do that so that you're not overleveraging yourself too much or taking on what you cannot do but consistently growing s yeah I wanted that input I guess like noticing like I know that in the US side they push prepping a lot more or like prep centers a lot more sorry but you have to also like look at well I think they're pushing the taxfree states and stuff too right yeah that's I guess Advantage But but so and I don't
(3:02:00) know if this is the case I've talked to somebody that I believe is knowledgeable in the US and so yeah a lot of us people push a taxfree state so you don't pay taxes for my understanding from this person I talked to the US tax system is similar to Canada's where if you pay sales tax you can claim a back so it's irrelevant if it goes to a taxfree state uh it helps with short-term cash flow yeah I was going to say that just shortterm yeah yeah but net net it's kind of the same so it be like a similar process of somebody sending to an
(3:02:36) Alberta prep Center here versus Ontario because they are going to pay 5% sales tax instead of Ontario is whatever 133% HST technically temporarily short-term cap cash flow is cheaper but net at the end of at the end of the day it's the same a big thing with prep centers versus also doing it in house is being able to one control your quality control but also two massively is turnaround time yeah you reduce that a lot yeah so like you see like uh Michael or mey talking about that a lot recently in some of the chats because he was
(3:03:16) Outsourcing prep for a lot long long time and I always told him bring it back in house and he always said it's too much [ __ ] work I'm like you're you're missing out a lot of money and then he started slowly bringing it back in house and he's like not only is he saving money he's turning around his products like probably in half the amount of time so when you think about that and how much quicker you're able to turn over your cash flow that stacks on the amount that you're saving h and when we're talking cash flow cycles
(3:03:51) and how much we're able to put in take out and how consistently how quickly that is we can almost look at that like compounding interest yeah and compounding interest the more you have and the longer you do it the bigger those numbers get also like I guess um this is not I guess well it's somewhat related but I don't I know that in the US they do more like fbm I haven't heard that much of fbm within doca so there certainly are people that do it uh it's just a lot more difficult because of our high shipping costs so a
(3:04:33) lot of people that do it um there's one Avenue where people focus on higher return items so that um that have higher profit returns there's two the large companies that have large Shi discounts with their own shipping accounts and then there's three uh some people that go a little bit in between and that are able to utilize services like stallion for reduce shipping costs um but you still have to have a good balance because it's still going to eat into a large portion of your profits because it's still going to cost a decent
(3:05:10) chunk I guess it's cuz there's like just such a large well Canada is just so large yeah and I don't think we have we're not as nearly densely populated and are exactly our shipping uh system is not as subsidized as it is in the US they subsidize their shipping immensely in the US same thing with like even with FBA like it all like even if I send it to like Alberto or something it always just ends up back in Ontario yeah everything ends up back in Ontario yeah I always like just like why didn't just go straight to Ontario man I think
(3:05:56) it's like 50 some percent of the population of Canada live in the lower half of Ontario exactly all On the Border crazy Amazon's shipping's been glitching so bad lately I don't know if anyone's noticed had a shipment the other day um to Bolton live not far in in Toronto and it came up as $381 for a I think it was 13 kilogram box I'm like this isn't happening I was snapping honestly it was late at night and I just wanted to close the box and just like shut it down right I was just tired already I had to do it six times I
(3:06:44) had to wait till the next morning and it came up $12.58 so Melanie I don't get it I think I think you're slowly getting to a point where you need to deeply deeply consider to stop doing single box shipments oh I stopped now okay I did stop that was just because I wanted to get that box out but I don't do that anymore okay because once you start doing more in shipment you should see your shipping cost per pound come down quite substantially actually Nick helped me with that now I know how to do it good I didn't know how to do it and I didn't
(3:07:27) want to learn but now I know so are when do you transition to the oh go ahead oh go ahead go ahead no I was just I was just going to ask Melanie are you utilizing like a flat file to upload it or what are you doing for your Box contents no don't get all technical on me Jordan just prepare all the boxes yep I put all the stuff in I'm still using Seller Central yep I put all there 500 units 400 units whatever and then I start dumping it into boxes okay so like single units you're just dumping into large boxes well not D dump dumping like that
(3:08:09) but like you have your whatever you call it your manifest or your web form or whatever they call it right and then you say it 20 of this are going into box a 50 of this are going into box B 70 of this are going into box C that's how I do it now and you were complaining about $14 $1 is like the least I've paid how much is the least $14 like usually it's 20 like at least how how full are you making your boxes let's see today it was like a medium Home Depot box and it was 6 kilos that's why so 6 kilos is was 14 lbs and how much did you pay for
(3:09:05) shipping yeah you got to um 14 P yeah it was $22 so we paid $22 divided by 14b so you're paying about a buck 57 per pound and so that's why it's so high because we're not maximizing our our weight per box so and and that's fine so if we're not buying enough units to maximize weight per box that's completely fine it's better off to get the units out as long as the profits still make sense you should be updating your profit calculations to account for that otherwise you could be losing money and not even knowing it um but once we
(3:09:43) start ordering more consistently it may be more benef official instead of sending a a shipment on Monday and then sending another shipment on Thursday send them both on Thursday when you can combine all your units together and then make your boxes as close to 50 pounds as possible without going over because when you do that you're going to get much more favorable rates so with one box at 50 pounds I haven't played with that for a long time but I imagine it's probably going to be under a dollar with one box per pound and then once you have
(3:10:14) multiple boxes all with within that range uh you'll probably end up getting down close to about 30 40ish cents per pound and you're putting one unit type per box you can do mix cues no no you can mix them yeah right yeah so that's what I was doing but I was just asking for pricing but no that that won't make a difference so you're you're doing a medium siiz like I saw that picture that you posted on Discord and it was a mediumsized Home Depot box right like 60 centimeters long and you're filling that to 50 pounds so okay so we
(3:10:55) use three different Maines so I don't believe you can utilize Home Depot large boxes I believe they're too big so we use you have to use extra large extra large so we use U-Haul small medium and large that's what we use because they're all within spec um like Melanie mentioned I don't believe you can use uh people large boxes because it's too long on the one side but yeah we we then fill the boxes based on what units we have available for how close we can get it to 50 pounds so like for our small boxes if we have
(3:11:30) like say like a bunch of jugs of I don't know a laundry detergent those are like I don't know four five kgs each so like say 10 pounds so we're going to put one two three they're going to fit three in a small box it's going to be about 30-ish pounds like 31 32 with the box then we're going to fill in the rest of the space with the smaller units that way less and try to get as as close to 50 pounds as possible we use the bigger boxes to account for different size units right and then we try to put as many boxes as we can into one shipment
(3:12:03) uh we just do that for like logist like logistically just easier uh but I think at like a certain threshold I think at like I want to say it's like five or sevenish boxes you're going to probably maximize your best cost per pound if you have five or seven or 10 boxes All Around 50 lbs so you so you put the small boxes within the larger boxes with the separate like separate skes yeah okay so I I just want to address that's that question again I didn't understand the question when he said you put the small boxes
(3:12:43) with the big boxes with what was the question I think he puts like basically like you can correct me if I'm wrong Jordan but you said that um you have like one like a larger box and then um like let's say you have smaller boxes and you fill those up and then you put that in the larger box and then the larger no so uh okay so we do like a lot of case pack stuff but just for example I'm not going to talk about case pack we're going to talk about individual SKS mix skew boxes so like I said we have three different sizes of main box that we
(3:13:17) would use small medium large so those are your about 42 CM by 32 by 32 CM for a small it's about 46x 46x 41 for a medium it's about uh 46x 46 by I believe 61 for a large uh so those are the three main boxes that we use and so for example for the small box we try to maximize the space that we have in the Box for the weight of products that we have so we'll typically start with the heaviest products that we have those will start getting be put in boxes first and so like for example for like a a jug of tied laundry detergent that's going to
(3:13:56) run you like say about 10 pounds in weight right and we know like that can fit comfortably in a small box so I'm going to try and fit as many of those as I can in a small box without [ __ ] up the box so we're going to fit three of those side by side in a small box and now my box is at like say like 301 32 pounds we're going to have some extra space in that box on the side because we have three lined up together so on the side we have extra space so we're going to start filling that up with additional [ __ ] that can fit in there that we know
(3:14:23) we'll try to get as close to 50 lbs as possible once it's at 50 pounds that box is sealed it's sent just like that we don't put it inside of another box okay okay yeah Mak when you're doing an LTL like again a lot of you guys on the east coast and probably even in uh British Columbia will have good LTL options we don't in Saskatchewan um so when you are scaling past like 5 700ish pound per shipment you'll want to consider LTL where you'll be putting all those boxes or case pack units on a pallet um but yeah unfortunately I don't
(3:14:56) have that great options in scatch one um I just want to address these couple questions or things that people mention in the chat here so Evan just mentioned in the US broadly speaking sales tax is rebated at the point of purchase if you present a resale certificate which with us it's different we can um request reimbursement and so yeah 100% um from my understanding from the person that I spoke with that from the US that seemed like they know what they were talking about it seemed like they also had a system where you could um submit
(3:15:25) for reimbursement like us because like we can also do a tax exemption only for PST so Ontario I don't think you do HST but like in Saskatchewan I can do a tax extion for PST so when I do purchases at retailers that support it I will have to pay GST um so and again I could be wrong but this person that mentioned that they said that you could still submit for reimbursement for taxes that you do pay but it may also differ by state obviously and then uh a at Sushi ask if there's any app like inventory lab or boxum to help Canadian FBA sellers so
(3:16:11) boxum is basically like a rebranded uh version of like 2D workflow or scam power they essentially do the same thing uh you can use 2D workflow or scam power they work in Canada they help you streamline your process I would argue if you're a beginner you don't need those softwares once you start scaling a little bit it does help your workflow immensely uh don't buy into the [ __ ] of 2D barcodes uh I know like for myself speculation tells me that 2D bar codes make things be received quicker however an the evidence suggests that's not the
(3:16:56) case and some very intelligent very in tune people that I know have done very deep analysis about 2D barcodes and they say it doesn't change your receiving times I feel like since I've implemented it it has but again it's an antidotal and the people like box them for example that's what they push like oh we we have 2D bar codes you have to use this they're just trying to sell you some [ __ ] so don't don't don't buy something just for 2D bar codes and then CJ two times ask if you need a GST number uh at a certain point you'll be
(3:17:38) required to so what province are you in CJ CJ here hi can you hear me y uh I am located in um Alberto Okay cool so very simple for you guys because you I don't even think you can do PST there um so GST you'll be required to get a GST number once you do $30,000 in Revenue not profit in any 12-month period okay so that's a requirement you can sign up to get a GST number anytime before that voluntarily uh I would I would tell you that when you're first starting you may want to consider maybe waiting a little bit um just to ensure
(3:18:33) that this is going to be for you right you can get a GST number tomorrow not a big deal uh it just if you decide that this is not a business for you it'll just take a little bit more process to fully close down your business and you have to close that account right uh where it's Advantage is if you do get a GST number you will either give that to your suppliers I don't think they'll do exemption for GST I don't think any Distributors will but uh you will then be able to use that GST number to file for reimbursement so instead of factoring an
(3:19:09) additional 5% on your cost of goods you no longer have to factor that in because you'll file for GST every quarter or annually and you'll get that money refunded to you okay because some suppliers do require that to open an account so I was just wondering as well yeah so like you already have a good chunk of suppliers like you mentioned so you probably don't need to open any more accounts right now yeah yeah yeah that is true um but yeah like once you know it's going to be for you once you know you're going to stick
(3:19:36) with the business then yes you should uh but you also have to consider that once you do that you do have you have the responsibility of filing GST you have to do that every year or every order depending on your sales okay yeah but it is nothing but beneficial once you do it you you have a bit of additional process but it's very simple to file a GST return quick question where where those videos that you told me where are they located what do you mean um the video um that goes through how to read keer and everything are you in you said it was
(3:20:23) like a channel so yeah if you look in the support and resources category near the top of the Discord okay there's a channel called guid and resources okay so click on click on any one of those links and that will open up our getbook and then it's all categorized so the live calls you can look under the Amazon live calls and then there's a keep a deep dive and Q&A and then like we have additional guides resources stuff like that in there as well that you can go through okay okay see it now so atsushi asks when you guys ship to us
(3:21:19) FBA do you manually split the ace into different boxes to avoid the inbound placement fees I don't believe that's possible unless you're doing single box shipments which may be something that you need to do uh however I'm actually I don't sell in the US whatsoever myself so I wouldn't be somebody that is great advice for that somebody else in here may be more experience with us selling they can probably tell you a little bit better but yeah as far as I know you cannot do that unless you're just sending single
(3:21:56) skew one box shipments or single skew shipments and even then they may even require you to send to separate warehouses anyway I believe so for those that have popped in here uh just over this last little bit welcome uh we've been having the session since about uh six my time so we're running about three and a half hours right now uh call has been recorded so it will be up probably tomorrow for anybody that wants to review anything we're just kind of in a Q&A right now we just chat ask questions Etc prior we went through a
(3:22:50) bunch of different topics like uh section three suspensions recent Amazon gatings bunch of stuff with Amazon eBay tickets server General stuff all that kind of stuff earlier we were talking about accidentally receiving too many units I've got another story for you what happened I sent in eight of this one product to Amazon and they said they said there was a discrepancy and that there was actually nine in the box but I sent them eight and I have a picture of these units going in the box I have the receipt them saying I bought eight I
(3:23:36) sent them eight and then they're like no discrepancy you sent us nine now I'm afraid that that last unit's going to have like Anthrax in it so that happens often uh whether we're short skewed or over skewed in my opinion in general because we have the documentation we don't have to be as concerned if they receive extra units it's just something fucku you with their system uh it seems like sometimes they just multiscan a single unit in um most of the time it ends up getting corrected by itself uh so usually like a month or
(3:24:15) so later all a sudden will just be adjusted just like if they lose inventory all of a sudden a month later it can just all a sudden appear out of nowhere um there are some cases where they'll give you extra units and never adjust it and you get those extra units and somehow they're able to shift them uh technically it can create an issue it's possible it's just fairly unlikely it's not something I'd be overly concerned about yeah all right yeah the only time I would obviously be concerned is if they shorted you because you want to
(3:24:49) make sure you get your money back oh yeah yeah yeah I would have said something for sure in that case what about the times where they do short you and they close the case and you're not even able to open it and I know that I sent five and they have four so but they won't let me appeal it so sometimes you have to go through opening a case and even in some cases like if you do it enough it'll just it won't even let you perceive with a case and those cases we have to decide one is it worth our time depending on how much
(3:25:24) the unit costs and then two if it is sometimes we have to wait like a month or so before we can even open another case regarding that shipment and then we can open it or try to finesse the case system to make it seem like it's a different issue and then try to open up another case that way and then it's just Bo going I don't know if I told you this I can't even get in touch with Seller Central I've had a case open for over six weeks that every time I try to call it doesn't connect yeah that happens I've been communicating with
(3:26:02) them via email which is awful yeah it can it's just awful I just call account house I think they know my number by now it can be pretty painful and then you get a new person every single time every every single time you send a message they tell you different things and they tell you that the first person's an idiot yeah so Sushi says I box them a couple times I need to splits the boxes different filment centers but there's no inbound placement fees do you think it's worth it instead of the 2D bar code things so again I don't want to give you
(3:26:42) anything he's he's talking about us shipments um oh okay I again because I don't have really much experience for us shipments whatsoever I don't want to give you any advice for that because it will not be accurate uh however I would highly encourage you in our Amazon chat in the server to ask that exact same question and you will 100% have somebody answer your question that does sell to the US and if you don't for some reason I will tag somebody that will be able to answer your question I have a another question
(3:27:27) um what types of uh processes do you guys have in place for like like leakage and like reimbursements and whatnot or like catching discrepancies are you asking me personally or anybody just yeah just throwing it out there anybody else want answer why CU you leave things in the corner for months oh you saying oh to me no Jordan knowes that oh to Jordan no no um we do have a process in place for reimbursements for Amazon you have to it's not the same as getting products back and have them sit there with Amazon we only have a certain
(3:28:15) window where we can request reimbursement so they recently changed it we used to have six months I believe it is now they Chang it I want to say it was three and I want to say there's been discussion where they're quietly changing it down to like two or something like that so we don't have as much time as a lot of people think to get reimbursed for products so it's something that you have to be on top of or you're just going to be losing [ __ ] money and you cannot get it back if you do not so simplistic answer uh a route that probably works
(3:28:47) for a lot of people is to utilize a reimbursement service so like your seller investigators your G idea your uh there's another one that's been coming up recently that has lower commissions I don't remember what it is but I've heard people have good experiences with it uh that's the easy way they monitor your account open cases for you and then take a percentage of the reimbursements that they get for you that's fun and dandy when you're getting started um once you scale a decent amount just like with prepping it makes
(3:29:24) a whole lot more sense to bring it back in house because you can hire somebody for for cheaper than you're GNA pay them in commissions um the process is not fun but we're looking through our reimbursement reports our inventory Ledger uh let me pull up solar central here there's a couple other reports here the main one that we're utilizing is our inventory Ledger because that tells us the movement of the products in Amazon's warehouse at any given time uh I need to make sure I'm not sharing my screen I don't I'm not
(3:29:56) sharing my screen am I uh no you're not make sure my camera is not on it I want to expose my [ __ ] uh bookmark bar show second need to log in Jordan do you have your VA do this kind of stuff so or one of your vas or no not a VA but a local employee yes okay so we go into reports we go into fulfillment reports and we pull up under inventory we pull up inventory ledger so that's going to tell us all of our inventory movements this is going to tell us if things have been displaced we can run the disposition report and we can look
(3:30:57) at all the different dispositions that inventory has had we can also generate it um I want to say it's been a while since I've done this I want to say we can generate this via CSV oh that would be nice we used to be able to I don't know if they changed it that report we may not be able to can we yeah we can we just click download so we run our report that we want to run and then we or we we do the download screen choose our parameters we can download it and then we can see all our dispositions directly in the CSV okay so then we know
(3:31:35) what inventory we need to focus on because you can see if it's been carrier damage customer damage Etc so then depending on what you want to do the easy way is just you see your positions you open up a case you put in five to 10 of your FN SKS and you say you don't even check your inventory you just put them in there and you say this inventory's been damaged uh please review and reimburse me accordingly submit the case do your next 10 submit do your next 10 submit they review everything and then they will tell you
(3:32:11) if it's been reimbursed or not you can do it that way it's dirty it works uh but some things will be missed they will tell you some things have been reimbursed which haven't which hasn't been um they will tell you uh they will miss some things in the in the responses that's why I say limited to about five or 10 different uh inventories or uh skewes per case it makes it easier on them second way you can do that is download that same report and then we can open up our reimbursement report which is under payments
(3:32:47) reimbursements and then we can cross reference to see if we've been reimbursed for that inventory first and then open up those corresponding cases that weeds out a lot more stuff that Amazon will will not be checking so it makes it so that less potential mistakes have been made um but it's obviously more time intensive so I would highly encourage uh right now I would get in the habit of doing this say about once per month do it all at once or if you want to be super on top of it once per week uh we do it we did do it once every
(3:33:24) couple months we are now doing it once per month okay so you just usually like reimburse reimbursement report in the inventory Ledger and you just cross reference them correct and like if you really want to get down dirty into it which we have previously we can upload all that stuff or track it on a separate spreadsheet and say you know submitted or color code it this has been submitted this has being reimbursed Etc um we do have some process like Pro processes like that because some of the sometimes a lot of inventory can be
(3:34:01) damaged and so we do need to follow up multiple times and so it's worth it for us to keep track of it a little bit more so we just color code it that this has been reviewed this has been reburst this is still pending and then we follow up on it every every two to seven days nice but like before you are scaling uh you can probably manage to get away with it like say once per month you probably need to make a couple cases you probably need very minimal followup and you'd be good to go yeah so far I just been doing it
(3:34:38) manually yep and to like make the process a bit easier obviously it's a lot easier to have all your receipts invoices digitized available so that you can easily find them and upload them that's good and then I guess like uh QuickBooks receipts just work right yeah it should I I want to say I haven't used QuickBook receipts uh you can upload them into there I don't know if they categorize them super well I believe they do uh the one benefit that for the software that we use we we called hubdoc so when we upload
(3:35:17) something into hubdoc we can just email it directly to hubdoc we can take a picture on the app and it uploads automatically uh it automatically extracts all that data from that receipt so it'll automatically indicate who the supplier is how much was paid the date all that [ __ ] it'll automatically uh categorize it under its own folder so say if we have a supplier for Costco it'll automatically put it in the Costco folder and it makes the entire receipt or invoice searchable so if we bought uh Tide laundry detergent from Costco I can literally
(3:35:51) search tide on hubdoc and I can find it in that receipt or I can search the date and I can find that receipt very easily so that that just makes it easier I'm not sure if QuickBooks has that if they do then that's beautiful like the oh the like the OCR kind of thing okay I believe Google Drive has that I what was that who does oh I use QuickBooks I'm just pulling it up to see um if it does that cuz my accountant's been categorizing everything my account my bookkeeper I use QuickBooks as well I don't think QuickBook has the OCR I know Google does
(3:36:32) yeah like I think I think Google drive automatically finds that information and makes it searchable but they don't autoc categorize it for you and catalog it yeah they don't do that no but you can like if you have a picture in your Google Drive you can search it pull up that picture which is pretty [ __ ] crazy does hubdoc also attach it to like uh connected to your whatever you use like QuickBooks or your bookkeeping software you can yep and you can have it where you either send that transaction to that software manually or
(3:37:01) you can have it do it automatically oh that's nice so like for example let's say if we have a receipt from Costco for two grand and it's from October 18th uh we can send it to in our case Zero we use zero we just send that transaction and then it'll automatically attach it to zero it'll make that section green and we just need to click the reconcile function and then it reconciles it but it's already found it it's found a date match or within a few days and it's good to go also like it'll match it to your like credit card
(3:37:32) transaction I it sometimes sometimes it has mistakes okay okay yeah that's good that's cool usually it's pretty good though like sometimes it'll be sometimes very rarely but sometimes it'll like attach an invoice that's like a month off because that's the same amount from same supplier uh but that's rare okay okay yeah yeah for now I'll probably just stick with QuickBooks but that's good to know about Hub talk yeah uh hey Jordan sorry I was just gonna ask you a question go ahead oh okay yeah no I was just gonna say that I
(3:38:10) asked questions in the comments I was just going to look at that so he said I got most of my in account level Reserve how long does it stay there for it says 318 balance but then when I see net proceeds it only says 118 and the other 200 level Reserve so that because you are a newer seller it's going to take a while it'll probably take I want to say up to 14 days after your products have been delivered to the customer before the release those funds to you as you become more and more established it'll be less and less and then you'll you'll
(3:38:41) only need like a couple day Reserve but just the process of developing trust with them Amazon because they want those some funds kick around uh so they can claw back if you have refunds I want to say by default it's seven but I believe it can be up to 14 and then also when I hop into a listing and I have zero reviews but there's only two to three sellers there but both have thousands of ratings is there still a chance for me to sell well in the product even if my price competitive there's a chance so on almost all listings it'll be very
(3:39:17) rare that you don't get some by box distribution um but if you have two sellers that have just been dominating it and have been dominated for a long time chances are your dist your buy box distribution is going to be substantially less uh you may get one 2% you may get 10% uh you don't really know until you send that inventory in uh but it's a chance so if your capital is more limited it may be a chance you do not want to take right now you may want to wait until you're more established or just find those listings
(3:39:48) that have more even buy box distribution or more people that show evidence of them getting the buy box but like even looking at buy box distribution for keepa for example just like with anything else Kea is not perfect Kea if so you can actually a lot of people Sidetrack um you can see your actual bu your actual buy box distribution from Amazon I don't I don't think a lot of people know this um where is it in C Central uh there's a report or a section where you can pull it up and it says it gives you your buy box
(3:40:30) distribution per as I never look at this but let me find it here so I encourage once you find this to pull that up and compare it to keepa and guarantee you on most listings you're going to see a different number but let me find this and then I'll I'll tell you why uh where the [ __ ] is it can you tell us the steps as you're doing it so we can follow I got to find it first then I will I don't remember the last time I looked this but I'm pretty sure it's still here where is this bastard where are you while you're looking for that Sam FBA do
(3:41:48) you know who that is that lady she does OA on a big scale she's saying that like you can hide your stat right yeah yeah she's from the states she wears a weird hat that covers half her face um yeah she was saying that like you can hide your quantity yes on like yeah just by clicking a Max moq yes when you're up update uh uploading your product yeah and if that's if that can easily trick keepa I imagine a whole lot of things can so hold that thought we will discuss that I found it so if we come into reports and business
(3:42:32) reports and then we can click um under business reports we can go by as detail page sales and traffic so from here we can see how many people have actually looked at our listing and then we can see our featured offer percentage so you can see your actual feature offered your buy box percentage for a certain date range whatever you want you can actually see the physical percentage I encourage you to compare that against multiple different listings and look at Kea guarantee you it's going to look different because again Kea is not
(3:43:06) getting data directly from Amazon they are crawling and scraping data from the web page okay so they don't check it every single second they check it on most listings about once every 15ish minutes uh there's some listings where they will not check it for days and it's just based on popularity and other people that have the extension installed if you go on your settings on Kea there's a setting that says share your data to help improve our service and so that means that whenever you open a product page on keepa you're sharing the
(3:43:39) data that you see with them so you're open up an Amazon listing you see all these sellers you're sharing that thata with keepa and then they're updating their catalog so they don't have to manually scrape it so because of that because we know that we know that things can change greatly in a 15-minute period or a multiple day period And so it's not always going to be 100% accurate it's going to give us the best data set that we can get minus sales estimates directly from Amazon um but it's definitely not perfect
(3:44:13) so buy box itself can also be misleading because if like say you see two sellers that have a 50-50 buy box Distribution on a listing cool they're not telling you that that one other seller may be getting the buy box distribution from 9900 p.m. at night to 9:00 in the morning and that other seller is getting it from 9: in the morning to 9:00 p.m.
(3:44:34) at night who's going to make more sales that person from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. because majority sales are going to happen in that time the other seller may have 50% buybox distribution but they're getting [ __ ] T that sales because they're outside of the major sales window on Amazon right and you can't know that you don't know that and we will not know that until we actually set inventory in so to give you a long answer tangent on that that's my thoughts um you had the question or the statement about hiding the inventory so yeah you
(3:45:09) can put a a purchase limit on your inventory so that it does essentially hide it from Kea because if you limit your inventory to five and you have 100 units in stock Kea sees the inventory limit of five so then if you're selling units consistently as long as your inventory level is above five it'll only show that you've ever had five units in stock right if you ever go below five you'll see that dip right so those are things that you also need to consider when we're analyzing a listing that sometimes when we're looking at a
(3:45:42) listing and trying to look through the offers data Tab and and trying to gauge how much a listing is actually selling uh sometimes we need to consider that that's a factor right so if we're looking at a listing and we see like say two keeper drops on a non-v variation listing in the last 30 days um and we see no sales happening we can probably gauge that this product only sells two units per month right because it's a nonv variation sells no volume probably sells two maybe upwards of four units per month if we see it has
(3:46:10) 100 keeper drops in the last month when we check the data offers tab we we see two sellers one seller looks like they sold 20 one seller has a straight line that they've only ever had five or 10 units in stock we can just double check on our seller on our seller tab on Amazon itself open up all sellers see if they have an inventory limit on their inventory and then we can be like okay that makes sense this seller is probably actually selling units the keeper graph tells me so it's a nonv variation listing they just obviously have their
(3:46:41) inventory hidden and so then we need to make a an edge educated guesstimation on how many we should actually be buying in that case uh Sushi ask when hit the product compliance is there a better way we can appeal will it hurt my account health I find it easy to hit compliance in Canada which compliance are you talking about are we talking about like npn din are we talking about toy compliance which one because they are different beasts if you're here and caught that maybe maybe not guess while he comes back had one
(3:47:42) other question oh well like not really a question but more of like a like it was a little bit weird so I I'm on a like also like suppressed uh by box listing and like something that was weird about the featured offer percentage when I was like checking on Amazon is they said that and I'm 100% sure like there wasn't a buy box at all because I've been getting I've been receiving like notifications from Amazon that I'm priced way above um but it says that there is a percentage that I have that I was featured in the offer like in the
(3:48:20) buy box sorry it says that on keep or says that in Amazon in Amazon so that'd be interesting so yeah it is possible that a buy box may have opened up for a period of time and then they respress it that is rare but that certainly does happen oh okay yeah I've seen that happen a couple times mhm when when the price fluctuates they may add a buy box for like couple hours and then it disappears I've seen it happen even when people don't even change their price it's like yeah their price at 40 bucks there's no buy box all
(3:48:57) a sudden randomly there's a buy box and then all a sudden there's no buy box again and no no price has changed yeah because it seems like I know that everybody on the listing is getting that same I guess ignoring that same like message from Amazon yeah to like lower the price so I don't think most people look at that listing but or that that email but suppressed buy boxes are not always necessarily a bad thing like you can still certainly make sales uh some listings you can make a substantial amount of sales but you just
(3:49:27) have to factor in that there is technically a little bit more friction from a customer standpoint where they have to click another button to see the offers and there are some customers that will just not physically do that so generally speaking a listing sales will be impacted when there's Express buy box it can still make a good amount of sales and if that does happen especially for newer sellers you do have an opportunity to make more sales on that listing if you're against larger competitors because as long as you're price
(3:49:58) competitive it almost doesn't matter you'll probably get sales exactly yeah and it's at least for me it's been good yeah yeah I wouldn't necessarily steer away from it as long as it indicates sales are actually happening uh but maybe day you want to play with it and just say like drop the price say 5 10 20 cents at a time until you see where the buy box is make sure you don't lose money and say maybe I drop it to from $40 to 3950 and the buy box comes back leave it at that and see how much sales increase give it give it
(3:50:35) probably about like say a week two weeks and see if you see a substantial difference in sales so would you think it would be higher than what Amazon suggested what do you yes like where the buy box will come back yeah yeah because like I know that you get that like automated message of like what Amazon suggests would be a featured offer in many cases yes also uh sometimes you can [ __ ] with the system a little bit so Amazon is either detecting that this product is priced lower somewhere else and they want you to price match it or they're
(3:51:12) indicating that the prior sales history on this product is much lower so they're saying that you should be charging a a lower amount because the price that you're charging is unreasonable so if it's the the ladder sometimes what you can do is you can slowly lower the price until the buy box comes back and then you can slowly lower that price or raise that price back up and the buy box will stay it's pain in the ass but sometimes it will work oh that's interesting I guess until they redetect it again and then they take it up well
(3:51:52) it depends on why like so if it was a prior listing history sometimes they won't and sometimes you'll be good to go and don't need to do it again if they're detecting products from other retailers then yes it'll probably consistently keep happening yes yes yes yeah I noticed the ones that like there's a difference too between the ones that are from other retailers it seems like they're more aggressive like what they're emails too to like lower the price yeah I shouldn't say this but there's less people in here and most
(3:52:22) people probably won't watch this till the end uh but I noticed it was quite funny um flipper uh finessed my dad the other day and bought one of his Lego sets for super cheap so my dad [ __ ] up because he got a Lego set and he was trying to sell it and he keept getting a um a price error so the in part would be suppressed it wouldn't be it wouldn't be a suppressed buy box it just he couldn't sell it and Amazon was saying because the prior price history Etc so he was trying to lower the price slowly and slowly by
(3:52:56) slowly and um get it to a better price so that it would be back active and him being old and not with it for technology he completely [ __ ] up and he priced the Lego set for 10 bucks as a Lego set that probably should have sold for 200 um and so I know I got the notification in our Discord server and I knew that it was his set because I seen that he bought it and I called him I said you [ __ ] up your price fix it and he said he was going to do it and he didn't do it in time and flipper bought it for 10 10 bucks um so I saw that too
(3:53:37) Jordan yeah saw that she she my father but uh yeah that's a funny one yeah well not funny but funny he's like well why didn't you just [ __ ] buy it I was like well I thought you were gon to fix it like I guess if you [ __ ] up in the future I'll just buy it but yeah like I got the notification in Discord obviously everybody else that had the Lego keyword did as well I seen it immediately I KN I knew it was it said immediately so I called like [ __ ] fix fix your [ __ ] inventory why didn't he do it right away
(3:54:11) though well I he said that because it was up there for a while e he said that he did but he's old and he's slow oh it's one of those ones where you say you do it but you don't well he said he said he did he said he did but he's like oh it's like a 15minute delay for on Amazon make the change right ah [ __ ] off like you just got finessa at like 200 bucks dud damn that's not even the first time he's [ __ ] up like that so yeah I saw that I was like uh I didn't tell her not yet but yeah she'll be surprised yeah uh Sushi are you back I Tred to
(3:54:54) answer your question before but I'm not sure if you're here probably eating sushi could be veryable could be he so Jordan I signed up for um you cool okay I cannot deal with that why why just try on like I don't even know where to start just try on like five just try on like five or 10 as to begin with oh my God but you you manually reprice she has been yeah wow wow see and that's the thing like like I've said like there's different levels of people that are able to do different types of things with in different
(3:55:53) different scenarios so like Melanie is doing pretty pretty pretty solid and she's doing things relatively manually whereas other people yeah that's why I was amazed yeah and like other people would look at that and like I I wouldn't be able to do past like 10 grand doing that and then you look at some other people like some people are able I don't know how I'm doing it to be honest that's a lot how what's your like how do you reprice manually though how do you how do you like do you reprice it every day like do you look at
(3:56:27) the buy box and try just match every day is that you're doing every day like three times a day oh yeah so you're hitting match like match to the lowest price is that what you're doing no I do everything manually each product manual see what everyone's selling it see where I'm at see whatever see what's going on I leave it or I change it next and I have a lot of as damn see that's I'm like okay I'm going to use Jordan's link and I'm going to sign up for be cool and because I'm I want to be cool like everyone else and then I went on there and I
(3:57:09) watched some videos as to how to even start the whole process did you watch my video when I was doing it when I was doing it with Janine I watch that one I don't think so I watch one of your videos it's on YouTube Melanie so yeah watch that because it's like I go I go through with Janine Steven and basically like do like a initial entire setup from start to finish yeah yeah that was the one I watched that okay I got to find that one it doesn't get technical really really really deep rules but it shows you like
(3:57:44) a very basic setup that will get you going there were some smart stuff because I have to input every every cogg I have to start from scratch right have you ever follow have you ever followed my advice and made your own custom M McQ with your cost of goods in your McQ oh yeah have you ever done that Melanie no I have not what words just came out of your mouth Jordan I know I don't even understand what so okay I'mma learn you some knowledge is that Saskatchewan stuff I'mma learn you some knowledge we ain't talking about
(3:58:24) bunny hugs today bunny hugs let me learn you so whatever way you're listing products I assume a lot of you probably listing products directly through sou Central cool not a problem when you do that you have the option to make your own custom skew okay if you don't put anything in there on just does a random string of text and numbers you should utilize that skew it's called an M skew M as a marry Merchant skew Merchant stock keeping unit and it's just for your own personal reference you should use it and just
(3:59:01) develop a simple system so you can track [ __ ] easier and it'll save you a [ __ ] ton of headache like we're discussing with melan r here for the future there's a reason why I tell you to do this is because it [ __ ] I'm about do it just to tell you how to do it uh so in your McQ you should make up like a code for for your supplier so like if you buy something from Costco you should put in either spell it Costco fully or do like CC and then put a dash and then put your buy cost so if you bought something for
(3:59:32) $4.50 put 4.50 and then put another Dash and then put a random a random string of numbers like 1 two 3 four 5 six nine 10 uh just as a placeholder so you now have your own custom McQ which will pop up on Seller Central you'll see that so you see really quickly what your buy cost is when you open up Sellar board you'll see that msq sitting there so you really easily see what your buy cost is what your supplier is when you pull up B cool you'll see that cool when you pull okay yeah everything when you pull up B cool
(4:00:07) you'll see your your McQ with your buy cost and your supplier right there when you pull up a2x in the future if you're using a2x or tax to use bookkeeping you'll see your your your your C sitting there it's EAS entered in it makes things so much easier if you're utilizing Cellar board to uh do inventory uh replenishment you you now have a custom McQ everything from Costco is CC Dash so now you can go into your inventory manager and type in CC Dash and you see everything from Costco makes things a whole lot easier yeah I I got used to it because
(4:00:45) of that the order tracker cuz I have the Scan Power like the list I guess that was together [ __ ] yeah it does it for me yeah but you know what's funny I didn't know in the beginning like like what it was for I was like oh Scan Power I'm not using Scan Power and then I would just do manually and I just didn't even enter anything so like I guess like some of my uh asens have like the generic M MC yeah I mean it is what it is you live and you learn but like you can also adjust that sheet for example and say if you don't
(4:01:16) use scam power you could adjust it as like a flat file upload so you can basically have it so you can get your your sheet download upload that directly into solar central easy [ __ ] yeah what's up so what if um your cost of good changes do do you change your MSC or do you do another mq so I will tell you what I do I cannot tell you if this is the best way to do it but this is what I do so I've always done it this way I've always found it to be the best for me other people may do it a little bit differently but yes if
(4:01:55) we ever get something that comes from a different supplier or if it's ever a different cost it gets listed under a new McQ so if I bought this product from Costco today for 450 and then next month I bought it from Costco again it cost me five bucks I make a new MSC for that product I can't say that okay and you just restock the other ones I restock the ones based on the current the current price and the current supplier okay yes and again I can't say if that's the absolute best way to do it that's way I've always done it and it's been
(4:02:31) working fine for us yeah I figured that would be the best way too yeah I'm a little bit confused on that so you create a new yeah so am I you create a new McQ but then then you replan are you creating a whole new listing yeah that's what I was going to say creating a whole new MC so basically a new listing yes oh but then how can you have like is it at the same time you can't have two FBA it's can you yes you can oh no wait wait wait wait wait technically you cannot yeah you cannot technically right you can Amazon has not
(4:03:10) enforced that forever but so the way that we do it is so again we go back to our tide uh laundry detergent example so we have a jug of Tide laundry detergent cost us $1.99 Costco my msq is CC d119 n- random string numers so 1258 cool so I send in my inventory this way next time I go to Costco we catch a sale so our cost now is $9.
(4:03:39) 99 so I make I make a new listing on Amazon new msq not replenish and I go 999 okay and I go -1975 as a random string of numbers so we send our inventory in under that skew if we are not out of stock on our existing product right now we will close that listing until we sell out of the existing stock however with the system that I have in place now it's very rare that we have to do that at this point because we have it pretty in tune where our inv is basically hitting the warehouse and being available for sale essentially as we sell out of our old
(4:04:21) inventory oh okay so it works for you okay okay because like technically then yeah okay so what you would do in in in the case where you have some inventory you would just keep it as a closed I would keep as a closed listing until the existing stuff sold out or alternatively you could just increase your price if you want to play that game just increase it like way above the buy box um will Amazon do something probably not can they technically uh if they did do something it probably wouldn't be a negative it probably be a performance
(4:04:54) modification it probably wouldn't have any major impacts uh but what they probably would do is merge both your listings together okay but then if they merge it then technically it will show up just as one like if you pull it from like a2x or something correct so then it just defeats the purpose correct but that probably won't happen okay okay okay you will have like prior history so like say for example with a2x uh oh yeah yeah it'll import that old McQ but it it'll show that that inventory no longer exists there that makes sense so that so
(4:05:29) you can send in that with the new M McQ and then just do you just close it right away correct if if it gets received in the meantime it'll go into your stranded inventory um you have to kind of be on top of it so that it doesn't get disposed over sent back to you um but if you reactivate it in time or manage your stranded inventory then it'll be fine but you do have to do some additional management with it for sure so you have to be really up to your like up with your turnover kind of but for full disclosure
(4:06:03) when I previously did it like before scaling um say I bought something again from Costco we would send in that new skew and we would have both listings alive at the same time is it proper no did I do it yes 100% I did should you do it probably not yeah I've seen it I've seen it like once but now I don't see it anymore probably because I stopped doing it yeah okay that's interesting yeah I might I might I might look into that because technically if you if you do that and like so you're both both your listens are PR competitive yeah
(4:06:45) yeah you're Fair buy box distribution yep you could technically well I don't know I guess you could technically lose your account because you are I want to say cheating the system I want to say don't quote me on this but I believe uh Amazon a couple years ago made a change where it basically prevents that from happening so I want to say like even though you have two separate listings Amazon on the back back and basically treats it as one you know what I might ask that just for like reference and then if I have that then I
(4:07:21) use it a lot with books right like with the same books but I list it with different skewes yeah that's fine because they're they're used products and you're putting descriptions in each one that's entirely fine in this case we're we're talking about brand new products under one listing cor right they're technically considered the same um and that's I came from books too and that's kind of where I got it that's why I kind of proceeded with that system that way just in ra um but yeah I want to say and again do not quote me on it but I'm pretty sure
(4:07:58) Amazon made that change a couple years ago yeah don't worry I won't I won't quote you I'll quote Amazon I'll get it in writing you do it even if you ask support they won't you know what the [ __ ] you're talking about hey as long as I say yes it doesn't matter yeah yeah Sushi are you back yet oh no I don't have the that sorry I was just asking Sushi if she's back yet what's that Mel oh on so back to my bcool problem so I don't have MCU I will start tomorrow so yeah yeah yeah yeah you can't you can't change them on Old no you can't no yeah
(4:08:43) yeah so start start the process going forward it'll help but when you're when you're first setting up everything to begin with it's yeah it's G be a pain in the ass well if like if you're can you send me a link to the videoon watch if you're doing it like three times is GNA expire having two people talk at once go ahead go ahead I'm not talking I'm you were GNA say three times per day yeah I was just going to say she she's already changing it like three times per day for all her asent then it should be fine oh yeah that's that's already
(4:09:25) taking ton of time per day so your One initial time investment is going to 100% outweigh the amount of time you're doing it consistently yeah what are you guys talking about I'm talking about you that I'm wasting a lot of time changing everything manually yes you'll be saving time that's what we'll that's what we're saying oh yeah using a repricer I agree you're going to save a lot of time but now that you've been doing it manually you're probably going to think twice all the time well that's the that's why I never
(4:10:01) wanted to do in the first place because I'm a control free and I'm like what happens if I set it and then I might just go in and check anyway because I don't know if it's set properly or someone's going to like do the penny thing joking so you need to let Mel I posted that link for you in the chat oh thank you so much Evan thanks Evan um with let go of that [ __ ] okay like where I know it's tough but like oh like you're you're going to ask well what if my listing consistently goes down a penny a penny a penny yeah with what you're doing right
(4:10:41) now anyway when you're repricing it's happening any anyway it's just you're sacrificing so much of your buy box percentage and I [ __ ] guarantee you if you use a repricer and use it properly without even send any more inventory you're going to be much over 50k before you [ __ ] know it because you're G to get so much more buy box distribution that's what someone else said to me because my buy I like I don't believe in that percentage on Seller Central I I don't believe that number at all whatever it comes up correct 7 12
(4:11:12) whatever pardon it's correct what did you say it's correct it's not correct it is not lying to me it's it's an average it's my birthday this weekend I'm not doing be cool on my birthday so we're going to we're going to start it my trial is going to run out and we'll start it I guess I'll have to pay for it and force myself to do it no if we if we want to be great we have to make sacrifices well it makes a huge difference Melanie I followed Jordan's suggestion to to use a repricer and right now I'm just selling out of the um used books I have
(4:11:53) in my inventory and just in comparison to this time last year when I was just doing manually manual repricing and at that time I was still selling used books only um my sales have increased by I think 171% so uh I was selling on a yeah so on average I was selling about four bcks a week doing manual repricing and just within the last uh 30 days I'm averaging between 14 to 20 a week thank you wow so okay so what were you gonna say David on the opposite side of the spectrum I've had 50 acens since June and I've never
(4:12:37) changed the price of anything and it's been going fine so now I want to see how it'll go with repricing this will be great so look at it like this how do you not wait hold on you don't change the price at all you just let it fly I just let it fly oh my God that's yeah so that's an anomaly though I would say yeah probably so for me it was slow in the beginning like it was it was actually very slow and then it just randomly picked up so look at it this way so yes there is potential that your listings are going to decrease in price but it's
(4:13:19) going to do it regardless if you have a repricer or not okay and if somebody's undercutting by a penny it takes quite a while for it to decrease substantially and the idea is is we are going to get more buybox distribution in the meantime it'll allow us to be consistently price competitive whereas if we're manually repricing let's say that we manually repic okay and it takes 15 minutes for that price to go live and then um right away uh our competitor Cuts our price and say it's on a listing where that Penny actually makes a difference where
(4:13:53) that seller is going to make way more buy box distribution over you so you're not going to check that listing again for another like two to three hours so you're going to have two to three hours where you're completely not buy box competitive whatsoever whereas if you had a repricer that's going to cut that down to basically nothing you're going to be consistently buy box competitive on the flip side if you set it up correctly you can on some listings have it so that it automatically increases your price back up so it fixes your
(4:14:24) price for you it's not going to happen on every listing but on some of them you'll be able to make it go back up which is discussed that video very easy to do and also it's not so much would be cool until you get super deep into the rules but when you do get deep into the rules in theory you can also sell more products at a higher price because when the price is on the upswing when it's time to come back up say you're the lowest FBA seller and somebody else has priced five bucks above you your repricer if you set it up accordingly
(4:14:57) should increase your price back up to that $ five dollar and you'll be profiting more per unit but that's what I'm scared of that I'm not going to set the rules right it's not like so the only thing I needd be concerned about to begin with is your minimum and Max maximum so as long as you have that set properly it's never going to reprice outside of those parameters okay so when you first set it up just be very conservative set your maximum price for the highest price you reasonably expect to sell that product
(4:15:27) at so if it normally like Max price it sells at $50 do not set it for 100 because if your rule kicks in to change it to 100 set it for like 60 well no if if like say like it's only ever sold for 50 bucks and like that's like that's like the top the top cap yeah set for like 55 60 bucks if you can think it's going to reasonably sell for that price and not completely lose its sales rank in buy box distribution and then at your minimum price just be conservative and say like your minimum Roi at like 10 15 20% whatever it is oh my heart so that yeah
(4:16:03) so that no matter what happens even if you completely [ __ ] up it's not going to go below that you're not going to lose money okay it's hard to [ __ ] up just follow that [ __ ] video and it it shows you basic rules that you just set and it ensures that you're not undercutting the price but ensures you're consistently price competitive and I believe I want to recall I haven't watched for a long time but it talks about safety nets if you want to implement that yeah um which you don't really have to but you can off the Hop
(4:16:33) if you're concerned about it so that just means like if somebody cuts their price by a massive amount you're just not going to follow them even if they're within your parameters I even added like an extra one where like if somebody's just being like a dick on the listing I'll just like add them just to ignore like ignore them specifically so I don't have to follow their their like prices yeah so say that again you ignore people because I know there's a couple of di out there that are in the server I won't mention
(4:17:03) any names CU I'm a lady um but you know who you are not on this chat but you know who you are anyway um okay so I could I could do that yeah you can do that so like you can basically like add their seller ID to just like never follow their pricing so like if they try to just they like price cut by like $2 or a dollar do something weird like that I just like I I notice it and then I just quickly just add their a their seller ID this guy's a penny guy anyway were you talking about Jordan's dad this whole time I was no
(4:17:43) no it's funny you said that because I had somebody who who knew it was my father on these listings and they specifically asked me they said tell your dad to fix his repriser because he's always [ __ ] cutting down the listing so that's funny so then I told him like he's like well I didn't do that I was like well you obviously have your [ __ ] set up to [ __ ] start cut undercutting people he's like I don't know what I'm doing fix your [ __ ] man yeah I find if you just do nothing it also works I mean in theory right no David you gotta at
(4:18:16) least go in and manually do it you only have 58 I do that in four minutes well I haven't been in it I've been selling so I mean but just think of the but maybe you could be selling that much more correct yeah yeah yeah yeah I I I was like I changed it a few times and I had those Nike socks and I was like this is stupid and I just stopped it was just got lazy but so for example um like you mentioned about putting sellers on your ignore list and not following certain sellers so I understand that logic however at a certain point you may
(4:18:52) find that's going to be counterproductive because from my view of inventory is I'm not attached to any inventory at all I want to make the most amount of profit that I can as quickly I can turn it over and reinvest it okay so Amazon's ever change in Marketplace it can be very hostile sometimes so like say there's a listing that I I become a part of look solid my first sour of inventory my dogs are freaking out hold [Music] on sorry um the where was I going with this so when I look at inventory um because the marketplace is Ever
(4:19:38) Changing we don't know how what how things are going to perform where they're going to go if like say I Source this inventory today and it's selling for $35 I am setting my floor price probably close to break even on my repricer and to consistently follow that inventory up until basically I break even because if the price is being lowered I want to be able to consistently sell my inventory so I'm selling out of it because if the price is on the downswing it is very possible that it comes down and it either never recovers or it takes
(4:20:10) multiple months to recover there are are certain cases where it will recover right away because just one person's being a dick and other people come back come back up but the way that a lot of people operate is say we have 10 people on a listing one person's lowering the price all the 10 others are following that person all their reprices are set to be price competitive all those people are never going to increase their price again so it might take multiple months for them to sell out of their inventory maybe nobody ever notices that the price
(4:20:39) is lowered and we can start increasing our price so I would rather s sell my inventory out at a profit or at least break even before I start losing money and then when it comes time to replenish that inventory I review it at that time it no longer makes sense I Carry On from that as yeah it makes sense and if they keep tanking it then might as well just get off that listing right I'm not I'm not in here to hold inventory for three six months to sit there and wait for it to potentially recover just make an extra $2 I'd rather
(4:21:14) get rid of it and put that money into something better yeah yeah some people just price it really weird though like what's that some sometimes I think that maybe it's the repricer or something because I don't know well well it is because a lot of repricers by default their default rule is to cut the price by a penny and that's [ __ ] it shouldn't be that so a lot of people that don't actually look at their rules and change things but fault they're all they're all cut the price by a penny but we we play Within those
(4:21:50) parameters I have a question so when you put out inventory for example and it doesn't sell for a couple months what do you do like with when you do a removal order like what do you do with the inventory now so we need to look at it a case by case basis and find out why it's not moving so is there IND is there indication that other people are moving inventory or did we make a bad purchase and this inventory is just not moving because of our bad purchasing decision I think I don't know I got one other people are selling it but I'm
(4:22:23) stuck I'm like trying to repic it I'm cutting down by a penny but like like manually and like I'm not selling anything of that product and I have a good amount sent do you mind do you mind me dming me the As and I can analyze it with you without showing it to everybody yeah sure send it to me right now I can talk to you about it also what what's the difference between be cool the repricer and just putting in that min max and price there's like three dialogue boxes so do you you want your competitor Amazon who
(4:23:03) is very nosy not not they are nosy but who is very another [ __ ] word I'm looking for stute no really no they they're they they they very much so want to give the customer the best price there is do you want them to be able to control your price does it sound sus anally huh yeah they're very like customer Centric so like if they know you're men they're going to the rest tells there was a word I was looking for for that but I don't know what word I'm looking for uh let me pull up this listing here I have the same issue with a couple
(4:23:50) listings too where I've had it forever I was at the same price as everybody else and it just I don't get the buy box it just doesn't move I only have 12 of that one item that I'm that one listing and it just it doesn't move it's just weird Okay so for yourself here without telling me your name and whatnot uh how many units are you having in stock here I have nine Okay cool so I can see who you are on this listing here yeah so we are price competitive good uh we see some moving units here some there and we're I hopped on the listing
(4:24:44) there was like half of the amount of sellers that was on it now and I like haven't made a single sale so this can and certainly does happen especially with OA products is just a nature of the Beast um one or two people find it especially if it's like a popular storefront that people monitor all a sudden a [ __ ] out of people find it that tends to happen and this is again one of my philosophies of why I want to be price competitive keep cutting it down and tell I sell out of it so as of right now let's actually
(4:25:16) look at it here so you are priced at 4349 uh buy box is 4354 yeah so you have somebody that's undercutting you the next seller that's 4347 so I don't specifically think like they're taking away your sales but I think this is a case of you being completely brand new on listing with other people that are not and them getting a lot more buybox distribution than you are this is something that we just kind of have to deal with until we can start making some sales which you will of course uh and start getting some feedback and start getting more
(4:25:57) established and then you'll be able to be a little bit more competitive on these listings until then you just have to be consistent just keep trying to be price competitive and just hope you just try to sell the units uh it's not a great answer but unfortunately that's just the way it is right now um I would also say that once you probably have a little bit longer history on this listing you'll probably start to get a little bit more buybox distribution as well however in the meantime are you utilizing PPC at all PPC is that is that like ads in
(4:26:36) stuff correct no I'm not cool so I'm going to send you a blog post made one second so I would encourage you and I encourage everybody to implement a low bid all skew PPC campaign meaning lowc cost all skew all-encompassing all of your units on a PPC campaign payperclick ad campaign because the return on investment is massive okay especially with less established accounts so I will put this blog article in the voice chat chat here this just shows that's like what's up sorry I was gonna say that's not like because I notic st before
(4:27:20) people would do this for like steel inventory but do it for everything this is for everything oh okay so and I guess work with my books too it won't work with used products no okay books you're shafted um only new inventory so and again I tell you this because I know it works I'm not telling you this [ __ ] to blow smoke up your ass I have nothing to gain from telling you this um I have nothing to lose so what this does is this puts your listings in the sponsored posts so when you search anything on Amazon chances are your
(4:27:55) first couple listings that you see are going to be sponsored so that just by default gets you more eyeballs and when somebody clicks on your sponsored listing you are automatically in the buy box when they click on that you still need to be within the buy box range you still need to be price competitive for your sponsor listing to work um but you'll set up just a very low amount so set up like a Max budget of like say $5 per day you're not going to spend anywhere near that and set up your bid at like five or 10 cents per click so
(4:28:23) that means every time somebody clicks on that ad you spend five or 10 cents you will probably spend pennies per day but your roas your return on Advertising spend is going to be multiple X it's probably going to end up being 20 30 40 50x plus your investment probably more and that will also help you being a newer seller by forcing your way into the buy box right that's a good answer thank you yes that's nice because like sometimes it takes a while to get into buy box rotation especially when it was new 100% And even on some listings where it's
(4:29:02) like you're not a new seller but you're new on this listing other people have more history sometimes it takes a little bit to get the buy box that listing and get established this forces you into the buy box like I even I even tested like like pricing more aggressively and I had to price a lot more aggressively just to get the buy box and then after once I started getting the buy box a little more then I stopped pricing as aggressively and then I was in the rotation and so one thing you may also find as well uh especially for those
(4:29:32) that are just getting a foothold uh I find that total units available has almost a bigger impact than pricing super competitively at my level anyway I I can't say it would be the exact same for somebody that's brand new um but I believe it to be the case so if you have more units I've noticed this time and time again where we'll have like say one or two of a skew left it sits there we're price competitive we were selling it we have one or two left sales tank we don't sell [ __ ] all soon as I restock those 120 units instantly
(4:30:11) start having more sales and it's because of inventory placement because Amazon is going to be splitting up your inventory across the country and if your inventory is more closer to that customer they uh that buy box is going to be displayed to that customer instead so like if I have inventory in BC you have inventory in Toronto somebody from Toronto is looking at that inventory uh your price higher than me but that inventory is going to get to that customer a day sooner you're going to get to buy box for that customer
(4:30:42) because your inventory is closer to them sense I've noticed that as well with other sellers on the listings that I'm on like if they have like way more in stock they to get the buy box yeah 100% and again that's not saying you're not going to get the buy box at all but chances are that person has a much more wider distribution of their inventory throughout the country so by default they're probably going to get a much more favorable buybox distribution even the times they get it too like I noticed it it's at like much more like
(4:31:17) uh like rush hour times or like when people are like at home yeah because all like all [ __ ] six units that you have may be sitting in Mount Hope but they're in BC they're in uh they're in Calgary they're in Toronto they're in Edmonton so yeah 100% yeah nice I'll utilize that skew Camp PBC campaign yeah run it uh it does not automatically add new inventory for you so when you add new inventory to your catalog you have to add those into your campaign but run it run it for a month and show me your results and when you
(4:31:56) have a massive return on your spend then I will be here accepting coffee donations even $5 a day works tremendously oh really yeah no I I even have one for those stupid socks scared of them for the ungating I have it at a dollar a day and it works nice nice did you get that tip from me or from somebody else honestly I love that I don't or my wife does that for a living so I can't really give you credit but your thingy that boost sales was really good really impactful actually thought it was really awesome okay cool cool see and that's
(4:32:35) funny because we have this guy sitting here that says that he doesn't reprise his inventory ever but he doesn't tell us until now that he's doing that was the thing strategy that's forc him into the [ __ ] buy box I was going to ask you what if you had to keep one PPC ads or the repricer like you could only have one or the other which would you which would you pick and I would pick the ads I picked a repriser Sayer it's G to have a higher impact but both of them will be impactful but I would pick both yes you
(4:33:09) only pick one that was question I answered all the above Drew we do not have a uh group buy for honic I'm not sure if we'll be able to get one just because of the scale of their company but I'll try and following up on my question so even if you let's say you do the PPC thing and it's like not moving that much you know like it's really stale like when you do a removal order what do you do with the inventory so before you do a removal order so your inventory life should look like this you're sending an inventory you're and see like your
(4:33:58) inventory still May technically be getting transferred because you have been on the listing for a little bit but it still might not be fully established yet and that could be impacting your buy box distribution especially because you're new it's just going to be how it is uh but the way your process should be is we send an inventory we let it get received uh we watch it we stay price competitive and we see what happens over the next say two to six weeks okay if it's just absolutely not moving whatsoever and there's no indication that it shouldn't
(4:34:29) be moving as in we didn't make a buy a bad buy and be real with yourself because you're going to make bad buys um then I would be more inclined to consistently lower my price until I make a sale even up until break even because you're going to pay a removal order fee you're going to pay Amazon and have it sent back to you uh and then you still have to try to liquidate that inventory somehow some way and you're going to probably have to sell it for Less in retail so it makes more sense to try to break even on Amazon first before trying
(4:35:01) to get sent back to you and lose a little bit money locally all right okay so do that first and then if that still doesn't work get it sent back and then depending on what the inventory is uh if it's like consumables like this product here uh you're probably not going to be able to move it on somewhere like eBay throw it up on Facebook Marketplace kiji and try to sell it for less than retail do not expect to get retail prices on local marketplaces it's not going to happen my dad [ __ ] thinks he can do that all
(4:35:31) the time he'll sell he'll post a $45 item and he'll say I'm asking I'm asking $43 I'm like are you [ __ ] are you [ __ ] stupid he's like well what it's a discount and they don't have to pay the taxes I was like yeah they have to drive a [ __ ] across the street um so price it reasonably and then yeah try and move it that way all right thank you yeah [ __ ] on my dad today I've never understood like with even with Amazon like I guess if they just decide to put your stuff and like stranded I don't know based on some sort
(4:36:13) of claim and then you get it back and you appeal and you win then you send it back in now you lost money right because of the fees to like the removal fees in those cases there are you can try to actually make a case and get those removal fees refunded to you it can happen it just depends if it's worth your time uh it's not always going to work just like with anything else but you can technically try to get those back and it does sometimes work um but yeah that's unfortunately just the reality of this business I call it
(4:36:46) tuition consider it tuition yep tuition so I guess if so if a customer does like do like a like they send it back and everything is all good then and Amazon claims that it's not sellable but they return it to you but it is sellable and you you can just send it back and then claim that and or I guess like open up a Seller Central ticket yeah you can can try you can try in some cases you will get refunded most cases it probably won't be worth your time because the removal fee will be probably like a dollar do 50 I guess it depends on how many units
(4:37:23) it was though yeah ran weren't you saying that now the removal fee is the same if if you tell them to dispose of it or yep if you say to send it to your address yeah it's exact same used to be different disposals used to be cheaper now it's the exact same price CU I've been dumping my books like crazy because I was waiting for the free removal but it never came so I just like dump 10 a week for a lot of inventory like if there's no chance you're gonna have anything to do with it locally um yeah okay dispose of it but
(4:37:58) if there's if there's any value in that product whatsoever send it back to you don't dispose of it same price if you're going to utilize Amazon's boxes for anything get it sent back to you and then you have free boxes yeah I don't want one more product in this place I think I have 10 books left and they're all getting disposed of by Friday I can't but they're old Jordan don't forget I was shut down for almost four months I know somebody and then they just don't move so good story not so good story whatever but somebody quite a while ago I want
(4:38:39) say Le like a year ago had joined joed our free Discord and we were just doing like a a general hangout session similar to this and she had said that when she started selling on Amazon she started with books cool but she immediately started selling in the US and she went ham off the Hop so she sent I think thousands thousands of books to the US made some sales and then I don't know what happened something happened where her books were no longer selling or she was forced to remove them and she had no idea what to
(4:39:14) do cuz she was facing I like I don't know like a $10,000 removal bill just from Amazon and then cost to bring it back across the border and she's like I don't know what to do like well you can't do [ __ ] really because you're going to remove them from Amazon you're going to get that bill regardless if you don't pay it they're going to charge your credit card if it's a substantial Bill and you don't pay it they will probably send it to collections and then like if you don't dispose of them you're trying to bring them AC back across the
(4:39:39) border uh then then you're going to have to pay those additional fees so like that was somebody that just like jumped too hard too quick into something that they didn't know what they were doing and I don't know what ended up happening I think I I haven't heard from her forever uh but I you probably know why well yeah she probably got [ __ ] [ __ ] on [ __ ] T of yeah [ __ ] went bankrupt I was even thinking about the like the hard gating on do like for people that went super deep deep into a brand yep it's a lot of like even just
(4:40:16) Amazon in general made a lot of money that day so maybe they they would have made more money if those products sold yep but if you look at it this way so okay they charge you say on average Buck 50 Buck 20 per unit to send it back to you so it's a disposal fee or a removal fee chances are most people are probably having their stuff removed how much do you think Amazon's actually making on shipping that back out to you I bet you not a lot if anything I bet you they're probably close to losing money they lose money on their Prime
(4:40:51) shipping to members there's no way sending uh a pen that cost me $3 from BC to me and to Saskatchewan with free shipping is profitable for them that's true they lose money on their shipping isn't like 60% of their like gross revenue like third part third party sellers though uh I want to say it's like 60 to 70% of their overall revenue is not even their Marketplace it's Amazon web services I mean just that just the market from the market from the marketplace I I think it's 68% are third party sellers yeah CU I know the web
(4:41:45) services is literally almost a good chunk of their whole money yeah uh I don't think it's I don't necessarily think it's 68% of the revenue but 68% of the products that exist on the marketplace are third party sellers I believe so why don't they just start trading us better you know because they don't have to there's no incentive right now there's no because if you bounce if you bounce there's thousands of additional sellers that join the platform every single day that's why we need Walmart to step it up they did shut down that one service
(4:42:30) today I don't know if you saw that but they had like this service where they went into malls to pick stuff up I don't know if you saw that in the news but they they shut down that whole operation today but yeah and like Amazon that's the thing though is like they've consistently tried different things [ __ ] ton of their stuff has failed but out of what they've tried they've been able to actually change the world they they've changed our entire world the amount of cash they have Sitting is crazy that's the same with all of them
(4:43:07) like apple as well well they think that this is going to be a major opportunity even when the economy completely collapses right yeah that is the time to start buying up companies so I don't know if I should talk about this because my friend really didn't want me to talk about this so I'll just say okay I'm not going to give I'm going to talk about I'm not going to give super details but you can probably work out for yourself but I'm not going to give you direct access to all the information so there's a world famous
(4:43:43) star that everybody knows that ticket sell for thousands of [ __ ] dollars so you obviously probably you may know who it is maybe maybe not but anyway there is a there is an AC of competition there's an act of competition every single Tuesday to win Taylor Swift tickets okay all you have to do is like comment on a post whatever whatever and I seen an ad about it multiple weeks ago uh they give away 35 sets of tickets of two tickets every single Tuesday and they're doing it until like the end of November and their posts only get like 7
(4:44:20) 800 comments so like your chances of winning are like 4ish percent just based on the current comments that exist so I was looking at it I was like [ __ ] me like they give away 70 tickets a week you know how easy it would be to just buy established Facebook accounts make a box connected to chat GPT yeah yeah comment [ __ ] comment a 100,000 [ __ ] times and you know how easy be to get those tickets and I was like adding it up I was like even if you get like say 20 a week and the next however many weeks it was like that end up being like $840,000
(4:44:58) in profit you can make I'm like [ __ ] me you better quit your job but wouldn't those well it's it's on social media I'm wondering if it would get detected though if you did it well enough like it definitely could but if you did it well enough yeah I think you could do it have to have like all those different delays a lot of proxies and whatnot but I think it'd be very possible I'm not answering your question bro trying to ask what it is oh man but so why not so like just like by default it's like a Rel ly it's
(4:45:41) not a great chance but it's not a bad chance to get the tickets but like to manipulate that system cuz she was telling me this last night and I was like um all a sudden like I just started thinking and she's like you're thinking about [ __ ] it up aren't you because she's like I want these [ __ ] tickets like you know how much money we can make so like she is she doing that is she gonna actually set up all the B like the Bots no she was just like talking about like to like get them like for herself just like a set of tickets and
(4:46:08) then then I was talking about like these Bots and she's like oh you're going to [ __ ] ruin I'm not going to get any tickets now that's funny I was like dude we can make like 900 Grand in the next month and you got some freetail oh [ __ ] the [ __ ] the tickets we're gonna sell them [Laughter] all and there's probably a lot of those out there too I was like yeah I was very surprised at like how little comments these entries they were getting I'm like seriously but I was like I get it cuz I I seen the ad a couple weeks ago and I
(4:46:42) completely [ __ ] disregarded it cuz like most competitions are [ __ ] like they're going to have way too many entries whatever but like this is a real possibility but how does that work like in terms of like that account that social media account like how do they make money from that uh they get the tickets for free okay I'm not going to tell you why because I'll give it away but they they 100% get the tickets for free okay they got the tickets for free by creating a this online but I won't say anything I'm gonna go look right now
(4:47:28) yeah I'm I'm basically spoonfed it for you if you guys want to figure out you gotta figure out the rest on your own use your brain a little bit treasure hunt some fun sourcing but yeah it was like oh I can make [ __ ] 900 Grand come on yeah I can't believe what those tickets go for it's ridiculous it's insane right now minimum they're about two grand and so if you think like if we can get say 20 sets of those tickets every week and the competition is going till the end of November so we got one two well let's count let's count today if we
(4:48:12) did it today one two three four five six more entries and we can get say 20 tickets times six 120 tickets times two grand that's 240 Grand but if we can go higher if we can get like say 20 entries 40 tickets if we can get 30 entries oh so much potential and chances are those tickets would be premium seats as well that sell for a higher premium even more floor seats you're looking like 10 grand to pop making me uh tempted build a bot overnight if you think you can build a bot and it works I'll 100% bank roll you
(4:49:03) [Music] CU like we can probably buy like [ __ ] Facebook accounts for like say like maybe like 50 cents pop and bulk buy say I don't know 5,000 or even 10,000 that's five grand [ __ ] yeah this is uh this is the Shark Tank right now very limited opportunity we will have a couple weeks to pull us off a couple days rather actually it's more like a Heist yeah sometimes you get presented these opportunities and you just have to take them you have to say [ __ ] work I'm gonna quit my job and I'm gonna do this we going to take a
(4:49:55) chance then they find out you bought the whole thing and they just take all of it back no do you do it right do it right we're using chat GPT yeah chat GPT really changed a lot changed everything I wish I can use chat GPT for like Seller Support probably should be using GPT they don't know what they're talking about half the time it wouldn't surprise me if they do because I seen an article yesterday today yesterday that Amazon is going to be implementing I think it was either 10,000 or 100, new robots in their working system in the
(4:50:44) next couple years so like physical robots I or I believe so it'll probably be between warehouse and also I already have some of them most likely delivery yes they certainly do so it wouldn't surprise me already have some of them I know that it wouldn't surprise me if they start doing support with that as well you need someone to do a overhaul of their internal support system because it stinks I would almost rather talk to chachy BT if I'm honest that's why you make chat gbt talk to the sellers what's crazy is like so you may not even notice it but
(4:51:28) like if you if you use chat GPT from when it released it today it's improved massively MH um you may not even notice it but like when I I used chat GPT probably probably like a week and a halfish after it released I like this is [ __ ] crazy but I also got very frustrated trying to use it when I use it today almost never and it's like there if you ask it to give you an actual response it sounds so much less like AI now and like I said before in some of the chats it's able to generate images with [ __ ] proper text which is crazy
(4:52:07) that Banner we have in the in the server right now that Halloween Banner chat chat gbt made that yeah that was crazy yeah like so it made our original Banner cool and then not that long ago like last week whatever I put that Banner into J gbt I said make this into a Halloween banner and [ __ ] produce that one that's sitting at the top of her server right now it's crazy yeah bra moment yeah that's yeah that's the premium version I think Jordan's talking about I do I do have the premium one but um I think the standard one can do very
(4:52:43) similar yeah I think you have like um a certain amount of time like you have a limit and once it hits that amount then it comes I think every like four hours in the day to do like images and all that stuff have you tried mid Journey yet for tried mid Journey yeah mid it's unbelievable it's really unbelievable yeah way better than uh Del so yeah when I first tried producing images like when chat GPT first uh implemented it like anything you tried for it for images it like text it wouldn't spell anything correctly like
(4:53:21) pretty much all of the blog post covers well all the blog post covers were on my website were generated with chat GPT prior to them making these changes and if you look at like all the text on them most of them if it has text like it says Health Canada Health Canada is misspelled so chances are if I rerun it now it'll probably be spelled correctly and they look a lot better they look a lot less AI generated crazy yeah also in the very beginning too like you could you could get through a lot of the I would say like
(4:53:59) safety um measures yeah and it was crazy I used to mess with it a lot make a bunch of malware blow up the world all that everything everything that I was curious about make a picture for this blog post see what it produces we'll show you the before and after but yeah it's crazy but not just Chad GPT like all the other ones as well like Gemini they're all they're all pretty good so it's already produced the image so this is the before and and this is the after it looks like that bottom word may be mispelt but it does look like a much
(4:54:51) better picture as well kind of [ __ ] crazy Health Canada then Health Canada and like all I literally did was pump in the entire blog post and say make an image for this with the Ando toothpaste yeah so some things are so misspelled on that one but generally speaking it looks a lot better yeah it does look a lot better yeah so someone could definitely you know set up a bot that just talks to Seller Support does all your reimbursements 100% I've heard of people making Bots that connected shat gbt that play video games and like so like if
(4:55:45) people are around them and they think that they're a bot they can actually communicate with you and it looks it sounds like it's a real person have a good night Evan uh but yeah like so that's wild yeah yeah yeah because you can just set that up with like browser Automation and just do the clicking and the entering and all that kind of stuff well before like chat GT is completely open source I'm not sure if it still is but you could basically make your own yeah yeah there are there are open source ones as well yeah like uh llama I
(4:56:22) think yeah it's wild yeah I can just imagine where things are going to be in the next say year or two years it's going to be very very crazy yeah dystopic I don't think necessarily dystopic but I think it's going to be quite quite World shifting a lot of The Underachievers in a lot of positions are going to go away don't think it's going to be like 1984 no George O no but I I know it's going to force a lot of people that are underperformers which is a lot of the population to reconsider what they're doing there's going to be a major
(4:57:15) shift because you're able to utilize something like say like chat GPT for example which could basically replace like say a junior a junior web programmer um and it can be a massive assistant to other programmers to do things a lot more efficiently so now like say you're one senior programmer can probably do the work of three four five Juniors right one person same salary so it's going to make a massive shift more realistically like the way I saw it happen and play out is that you'll have like a company of 10 people
(4:57:51) this is a terrible ex okay 100 people that produce 10 million a year it's just that that same 100 people are now going to be able to produce 10 million a year so like it'll be the same people just not less but they'll make more they'll be more efficient yeah yeah that's more like how it's going to play out not necessarily you know 50 people lose their jobs or whatever so I see that to an extent but if you look at something like much more basic like you're a standard fast food worker okay so there's always been a
(4:58:30) push States here whatever to have a set amount of minimum wage $5 $20 an hour cool that's been happening and now you're seeing McDonald's completely replacing front end staff so those workers are 100% getting replaced because when you require so much money out of people then it's going to make more sense to automate the tasks that can be automated there's certainly not everything can't be automated there's always going to be uh human elements that are needed in a lot of fields but those types of menual tasks I
(4:59:02) believe will go away and so one of two things will either happen it'll either be additional jobs appear or are made for people like what happened during the Industrial Revolution that other people that people can do now or it'll be our whatever you call it our our Utopia that people have uh thought dreamed of for years where people no longer have to work and people are just able to do their interests and hobbies and you only have to work if you want to uh because you can have robots automation do all those things that
(4:59:38) people once once had to do I don't ever see us be able to do the lad just because of how how greedy a lot of people are but but it's a possibility I I am just much more optimistic about it like I I think people will live a lot longer because medicine will get a lot better so there will be less people being born less people the GDP will still go up because we're greedy [ __ ] so GDP goes up people stay the same I think yeah it'll just be more of the same [ __ ] like that is happening like what you were saying right now I guess
(5:00:22) because people are using it as tools like with co-pilot people are doing that programing so they're using copilot now they can add more programmers and they invest more which then gives them more money at the end of the day for these different companies and they can produce more I think that's the most likely scenario I don't think people like firing people I think they just like squeezing more out of them exactly so potentially but okay so we also look at it from another perspective just per per se from if we have the additional resources
(5:01:01) time uh additional Revenue Etc this will probably prompt some companies to begin looking internally about things that are happening be able to improve um those types of things and these tools will also Pro probably provide them additional resources to be able to analyze data a lot easier a lot quicker I think in a lot of cases it may expose some people that are very much underperformers as being such which a lot of companies are probably blatantly unaware of and being a company that I would assume wants a person to actually produce at a
(5:01:39) price profitable rate which a lot of people do not I think a lot of companies that are least intelligent rather will get rid of those people because it'll be more blatantly obvious that these people are no longer producing more they're not producing more Revenue than they're actually producing or that they're costing rather I think they'll just be given more to do I think I genuinely think companies don't like firing but where I do see it changing is like in a Utopia world world like let's say in 2050 is it possible
(5:02:13) that all of Canada the government of Canada has five total employees like is like is that a possibility I think it might be but I've seen both happen actually so I've seen where they've let go people that now that they and then replace them with processes and Automation and then I've seen the other one where they just enhanced a group of people with tools and then just hired more more but I think it's really like what can you get out of those people like if you can make more money out of those people or is that's I guess section of that business
(5:02:50) like something that they need to do maybe like some sort of cost management or like cost reduction or something like that so I'm 100% for the Utopia side and I 100% hope that happens I've just dealt with so many people throughout my lifetime and seen so many people in so many different industries of how many people are like literally just going to work and doing the bare minimum to SC by it's like it's hard for me to see like I I get it because it's not your company blot of people don't care 100% mle T however coming from the
(5:03:28) perspective of a business owner when if and when I see that in my business I'm going to corrected and so I always try with people you know let's look at what's happening let's try and correct these let me know what we need to get you there do one-on-one training Etc but there's going to be a large unfortunately a very large subsection of people that just will not and when those things come to light in my opinion a lot of companies will then get rid of those employees and it's kind of a different scenario not specifically AI specific
(5:04:02) but look at like something like Twitter for example when Elon mus took it over and fired literally 80% of the staff showing you that 80% of people there they're still able to run same capacity the only thing that they don't have to do is do as much moderation they were able to cut down their staff by 80% which is [ __ ] insane that just goes to show you how essentially useless how many of those people were more or less useless yeah they did they did cut out a lot yeah it was 80% it was 80% of their stuff I think it was within a week of
(5:04:40) him taking over Twitter I was entire I think like yeah the content moderation team too as well was a large portion that was a vast majority of it yeah yeah well I mean if they're not no longer having much content moderation then I guess they don't need it anymore but it's like also like a point where it's like a company made itself inefficient to do something that was not that relevant because like you can see that's still operating is operating fine and you're not seeing massive massive hate speech and stuff and things
(5:05:12) that are legal you're just seeing people for General Free Speech are less censored which is what it should be that's what he was trying to accomplish and it worked but yeah like I mean like I've seen a lot of work places where it may not be that intense but there's tons of people that just fly on the radar and just you don't know how how they've had a job for that long and they're very very incompetent I know a lot of people like that yeah I was one I was telling you last time definitely and it wasn't my fault like I
(5:05:55) went from being like a highly paid engineer to work in selling lights oh of course and like so when I was the engineer I was working like 12 hours a day and busting my ass like crazy and then I go to this huge massive company doing [ __ ] all and I'm like begging for more stuff and they're like no you don't got to do nothing like I was just sitting on my hands it was brutal so yeah and like obviously there's always going to be companies that exist like that that's just the way it is but I would think that technology
(5:06:28) like this would help not only regular workers but companies become more efficient and be able to notice things like this and like I foree it being a point where you have like an AI you can be like here's you can basically feed all your data or it can even look it can even watch your your entire building for a day and say these are our processes and it can be like I can see that this person's doing this this one's doing this this one's Irrelevant this one should be promoted and it'll probably make sense I can foresee that happening and
(5:07:02) not that not that far off yeah yeah I yeah I think people will use it for good though in general I'm pretty confident in that 100% uh there'll definitely be the the other side of things too 100% through a yeah they'll definitely be yeah in general it'll be used for good I I just know it but but I will say that the technology is actually like outpacing the resources though like um right now compute resources is actually running out now Google's nuclear or plants they just commissioned seven nuclear plants yeah there's that and then I
(5:07:49) remember like recently too even like meta had to buy up a bunch of a bunch of uh servers as well just to run their um large language models so that was like a huge thing so they're saying it's like a real cost issue for them yeah but like as also as it's theand spikes exactly there will be more Supply eventually and then eventually the cost will start coming down as well right yeah it's just interesting times yeah just a matter of how fast they can do it but yeah I'll certainly see some massive I foresee some massive shifts
(5:08:36) happening and yeah adapting to it got adapt quick yeah so like small example and not not exactly AI kind of AI and this wouldn't have been possible [ __ ] 10 years ago so the other day um I started those other social media accounts for the the the server I was like I've seen other people make these videos so I like I'm going to try it I've never edited a video in my life I'm not like I'm not stupid around Tech but it's like I'm not like a super super super insane techsavvy person MH so I found So within a 60-minute period I researched I found
(5:09:24) the software learned how to use it produced a video and posted it two of them in 60 minutes are they perfect are they polished no but there videos that are actually like decent like one of them is on our Instagram right now just show like seller watch and it's like full text like filming it showing seller watch how much profits potential uh an AI voice narrating it everything little transitions whatever I didn't know how to edit a [ __ ] video five minutes before then I saw that it was it was pretty good like it looked like one of those
(5:09:56) like YouTube shorts or like even Tik Tok or Instagram reals yeah like like you have that background you know like kind of trend it certainly wasn't like Perfect by any means but like it was in my opinion fairly decent and I literally learn how to do it in a few minutes like that's insane I think that's the biggest jump right now like um how quickly anyone can learn something now yeah like that's in like that was ridiculous because this used to be like something that like to produce a mediocre video you'd have to pay
(5:10:30) somebody a substantial amount of money yeah or even to get access to the information to learn take a long time yeah like don't get me wrong like video editing stuff has been like available like on YouTube for decade plus but to make a good video and make it watchable take multiple hours to learn how to do that it's like before Google actually finding the websites instead of Google like ranking it for you and then you looking for it so it's basically just making it a faster process of you learning yeah it was absolutely like boggled my
(5:11:08) mind yeah eventually College will be useless so yeah like with the initial one like I just used cap cut okay so cool very easy and then I used their their AI thing their AI voice which sounded very robotic after that with the second video I found that you can get an 11 Labs AI voice yeah that sounds so much like more realistic so the second video I produce that I haven't posted yet because I need the the Lego set to increase back in price before I posted um that it's like it even looked so much better within within a a few minute
(5:11:50) period and like it looked like a much more polished product I like this is insane yeah I was going to say you should use 11 Labs yeah yeah and again I didn't know about any of this to begin with so I completely researched it found it figured out how to use it filmed it produce it in about 60 Minutes for two different videos insan yeah it's insane that's ridiculous and before I did that I was sending basically what I wanted uh to a few different people on Fiverr I was like can you produce a video of like this is kind of what I
(5:12:24) want and it'd be interesting to compare well see that's funny because I'll pull up the responses here so I set all these off and I was like well [ __ ] it I'm just going to try it myself uh I don't have enough to do I'm G to just try to do it myself and then so all these responses I sent uh I sent one two I sent three different messages to people uh got one response hi hope you're doing well sorry sir I'm not available for some days uh hey there thanks for reach oh no that's just a initial response really sorry not
(5:12:58) available right now and then the third message and like I included all the details I was like hey I'm looking for some editing for a short clip which can be found here sent them a link to the loom video I recorded i' like it made into a YouTube short video that can be used on Instagram and the perfect the purpose is to drive traffic to my reselling Discord server with a link I would prefer this video could be cut down and the loose script I made because I I narrated I talked while I made the video I made switch to an AI voice and
(5:13:27) said the script can be changed I just want the key points covered a similar style I'm looking for is this video gave an example is this something you can do if so how long for delivery and what would it cost uh so he asked so you want us to change the voice to Ai and cut it into a YouTube short what type of edit are you looking for do you have an example we can take inspiration from I literally sent him an example video from Instagram so in that time by the time I got that message back I was already done damn and they'll probably do the
(5:13:58) same thing you're doing 100% And like I literally like so I narrated it while I was in loom loom produced a transcript of the entire thing that I had I took that entire transcript I put in the chat GPT I said I want a one minute long video because the video I had was a minute 30 said rewrite this make it make it a minute produce me the entire Pol script punch that the cap cut it's like insane absolutely insane I mean I'm not gonna say much until I'll ask you again in two months after we see how it converted well I'm not going to say it's
(5:14:37) going to convert because it's on an Instagram account that has 10 followers but I wanted to make it okay then yeah in that case then something's like quick and easy quick and dirty is the way to go yeah yeah but like I wanted like a proof of concept and like as a grows it's going to be something I probably end up putting more money into right yeah but like for yeah for something in the beginning especially are you g to focus on Amazon like selling specifically or just flipping in general like for the videos no for
(5:15:10) Arcane Arcane is going to be like what we have today so it's going to be a little bit of everything but I want it to be professionals in everything that we offer so that none of the information that we give is diluted [ __ ] and it's actually real people with real experience giving the information that people want specifically to do with flipping not necessarily Amazon well everything everything e-commerce business okay so like I have a vision okay I I have a dream um when people say that they get shot um so basically where
(5:15:52) somebody if somebody wants to start any Avenue of e-commerce or business this can be an essential hub for all of that so like I've had thoughts about implementing somebody in here that's an actual uh a real estate broker uh a mortgage broker an insurance professional and we can have these people in here so that people can ask questions and then all of a sudden we can start discussing about market trends for Real Estate we can start talking about one's good time to buy is this a good price how we can find good deals for Real Estate when people
(5:16:28) start leveling up their businesses tips to get into like rentals and airbnbs we could do that for stocks and day trading and trading gold we can look for Arbitrage opportunities in uh oil Futures and gas Futures all kinds of [ __ ] but I need it with specific people that are professionals and what they're doing because I can't do that all myself nor do you know anything about Futures I imagine no no I do not yeah fair enough okay so e-commerce yet or just Commerce I suppose in a sense yes makes sense but to be able to have
(5:17:11) all this information here so that those that want to explore these Avenues can and can in a professional setting not a [ __ ] setting where it's like uh a sneaker group full of a bunch of 13y olds that are like calling calling each other gay all day and stuff like that an actual community of real professionals that know what they're talking about and can make substantial changes in one another's lives like that concert I talked about if someone's able to identify an opportunity like that like hey I have this opportunity I know about
(5:17:41) this I know you're a programmer I know this person over here can provide proxies I know this person over here knows a lot about Facebook let's combine this together let's make a [ __ ] ton of money over the next week it's really like a very synchronized like networking correct group you know 100% And if there's something that say I don't know for somebody somebody has a question about something I would like to have the ability like I don't know but this person here that will respond back to you in the next six hours they're
(5:18:15) going to be able to answer you and they're G be a to tell you way more [ __ ] information than you'd ever need to know yeah it's really cool because you'll see like there's like there's a problem and then you'll see that many people are facing a problem you're like okay then why not you know like have a channel on that or people can add and actually or like create some sort of list about that issue and so that people can look at it like yeah it's pretty cool yeah somebody asks about something it's like I'm having this issue it's
(5:18:44) like 100% other people have talked about it too here's the link to that [ __ ] conversation and here's your here's your problem solved exactly what you're looking for you know what's funny I noticed this as well um a lot of well I guess it's a lot of newer users but I guess also people that don't use Discord as well um they won't really search in the group at all 100% yeah yeah or just like honestly just even just do a Google search sometimes yeah I get it but I also understand where they're coming from I do understand that as well yeah
(5:19:19) or the old uh message in five different channels the same question yeah no I don't play that [ __ ] I was actually gonna ask you a question but I didn't I looked it up but like because I remember you were telling me about an eBay thing you were telling me with eBay you always put that disclaimer on the bottom about the returns yeah I looked it up and I found it 100% And then yeah like today just for just as an example somebody that is in our community that was basically sold their first thing on eBay they were literally at the
(5:19:57) post office and they had a question about shipping and they're like well I don't know about this and UPS is telling me this what should I do and I just want to be available but for an example a better example be somebody who be able to post in the chat and get that problem solved immediately while you're sitting at UPS it's like that's that's crazy because before I'd probably have to go home research it come back switch all the [ __ ] and it's going to take a lot of time yeah there's one hurdle I can think of that I don't know how you would jump
(5:20:29) over it what's up but it's not so I'm 34 years old I love hurdles okay so I'll the give you my demographic uh and then tell you the problem so I'm 34 I'm an electrical engineer I can program C++ object-oriented programming all this [ __ ] right yet I still get so [ __ ] confused in Discord like I'll be honest I still can't find where like the YouTube links are like I have to go into my YouTube look up the history cuz I can't find it again and then I can't find like and it's not because of Arcane Society it's because of Discord
(5:21:10) like even when I had mid journey I canceled it because it was so [ __ ] confusing just click places and I know it's not your fault nor Is It Anyway yeah it's I think it's me because I'm old I don't know no that's a valid concern because I've had people come in here see everything that we have oh my God I don't know where to start and leave yeah exact I almost did 100% understand and is something that I have been addressing over time like you should have seen when we first started how much worse it was um but I already know of a
(5:21:47) potential solution that will probably help there are already AI Discord Bots that exist that we can have monitor channels for specific text and give specific answers and also learn from that so it'd be very simple for you to post in a ticket or a channel like where do I find this YouTube video and it will link you that video in a second okay yeah that makes sense but okay so like even down to the UI though like there's hashtags everywhere and every time I see one I want to throw my [ __ ] laptop across the room like what
(5:22:24) the [ __ ] is the the hashtag that's that's that's just part of their UI unfortunately no I know but I don't know what it means you know it's just to like indicate like that's a specific topic I will say out of all the different social like uh if you call it like social media Discord is like you kind of have to takes some time to get used to it for sure but if we look at like say an alternative I guess like you would have like your telegrams and maybe School nowadays um but like when I first started this it was basically here and
(5:22:57) potentially Facebook a Facebook page the better option yes 100% because a Facebook page is extremely unorganized and cannot Implement a fraction of what we have in here today exactly right I'm not saying Discord is the wrong thing I'm saying it's [ __ ] confusing and it might be the it might be the right thing like it might be the best possible platform no and I get it because when before I started this whole thing the whole reason why I did is because when I get when I'm working on a business at a certain point it'll just come to a point
(5:23:38) where it's like it's more or less on autopilot and it's like I'm getting bored and I need something else to do so then I just force other [ __ ] into my life so I was just randomly looking I'm like I seen like these reselling discords and stuff i' never been a part of one in my life so I found one and I was like I'm going to join this see what's up no intentions of doing anything I opened it it was a US based one um and I wouldn't consider myself not tech savvy I was decently I can make my way around a computer I open I was
(5:24:12) like holy [ __ ] like this is confusing as [ __ ] and like it's so disorganized and after spending some time like a few days in it I was like started getting the hang of it a little bit but I was like try contacting support never got a message back I was like I don't know what this is what the [ __ ] is auto checkout I don't know how to utilize this all of it's so much like us-based info I'm like I can do that better and I can do it for Canada so I did and this is what we been doing yeah I guess give me another
(5:24:46) month but so I've thought about this because yeah like other people always have had the same concern and I believe and I believe we can probably do this in not the so distant future is even have a bot like so this is the same type of Bot that when you join it can be basically a companion so it it'll send you a message it'll seem like a person and like yo I'm here this is where you need to go first check out this channel then come back and talk to me you check out this channel cool now this is what you should
(5:25:15) do next and here's why cool if you have any questions just ask me I'll give you a response that can happen today will that make it a seamless experience for everybody no but I think it'll help a lot of people like yourself old and dumb I gota think about like yeah you're not even that old dude when you have two kids I'm like 10 years older than 34 man like I'm only used to it because I used to run servers before but like that wasn't like for like assignments and stuff or like school stuff before I joined that reselling Community or that
(5:26:04) flipping Community uh I had very very limited knowledge about Discord I had joined so no our our free community that I had I started that because I had the lead list that I started back in December 2021 so I started that and then I don't like traditional advertising social media [ __ ] like that I don't really care for it I don't care to force to down people's throats I'd rather like offer more [ __ ] bring people to it and then if they want to buy something for me cool if not cool so after after a while of proving concept I was like
(5:26:40) started this Discord community did a bunch of like what you call I guess Gorilla Marketing basically finding people from other communities and messaging them one by one be like hey come check us out we're better and uh built that up and then that was basically my knowledge Discord and then I found that reselling community and then now we're here have you tried mid journey I have messed with it once many many months go okay yeah I was just going to like cuz if if anyone could do it better than you it's a multi I think they're a billion dollar
(5:27:20) company now right so what do you like at their or like how they organize things their server yeah but I think their server I went through their server I think this is even more complex than their Server Like The Arc oh yeah well yeah optically like the way it looks yeah yeah like which one's more complicated uh Arcane Society is optically more complicated but yeah maybe not functionally oh it looks like I am in mid Journey's Discord server already uh but yeah like I definitely see their server it definitely looks a
(5:28:05) lot more simplistic for sure yeah mhm but I do think that it's because when you if you have all of the channels open I guess when you click on those uh tags or whatever you have everything open yeah and like so like I kind of mentioned kind of at the the very start of our call under like the upcoming things for the server one thing and this is something I've been working on for quite a while is try to what we have but it's like trying to find a healthy mix of being able to condense what we have to make it more
(5:28:46) easy to navigate versus still being able to offer everything that we have in here without sacrificing it right so like one thing I mentioned was like condensing like all all of our monitors so all of our monitors will be like instead of like 50 or 100 channels that are under our monitor section it'll be like five so like that just by default doing some things like that will make it overall when you do it all together will make things a little bit less overwhelming I believe yeah I think also like some like figuring
(5:29:20) out at least like in the beginning was overwhelming as well but like figuring out like a base um like a base level of processes in place to actually like utilize the stuff like for example um like I finally got got into like using seller watch and all that kind of stuff and also like restocking as well that I'm I'm recently going going to get into doing that with like my uh Google Sheets where I have items that are out of stock and then actually setting the keywords in your restock monitors yeah yeah but I guess like just
(5:29:57) like having those ideas in place or like maybe I know there's might be within the guides or something but having like a base level process is obviously not someone specific processes but sort of like that uh the like B the BQ one that you set up like with the YouTube like that's like a base level repricer rules right and then you can adjust it and get more complex as you as you go deeper so like for example should it be something where it's like say a specific YouTube playlist and we have these features and videos for this and these features and
(5:30:34) videos for this or should it be one YouTube video that shows you every I think think I thought of an idea here to just add into the mix of what you're currently talking about like cuz when I was in [ __ ] and like it was like join green team I'm like first of all what the [ __ ] is Green Team secondly I still don't actually know what Arcane like at the time I still didn't know what it was I just knew that you Jordan were part of it and that's why I trusted it so like in Arcane like be because you have to go through [ __ ] to get into the
(5:31:12) server correct correct so maybe before you get into the server it's like here's what you can expect but yeah I just basically kep clicking around because I knew you were part of it I appreciate that so it kind of does have that and call me analytical but like so I'll send you this link and you tell me what you think so if you open the Arcane Society [ __ ] let me message this to you I think I I think I know where you're talking though and like when you first open it it gives you like a brief intro and it says show more under all
(5:31:51) your access things right you click on show more it does tell you almost everything that we offer you do have to click show more and there's still a [ __ ] ton of things there because I cover everything but it does show everything that's there I don't know how to do that yeah you're right you know what I did I did go through it like I did scroll through it so like I I get like that even like looking at that like I'm not reading that I I get that I probably wouldn't either but I also don't know how to relay to somebody that this is what we
(5:32:27) offer in like a 30 second attention span no yeah you're right I don't know man sounds like a problem you got to fix is that the like the that snippet that says like not your average cook group that thing yep yeah that's part yeah but I I I even some people don't know like what a cook group is though so I completely changed that so that's that's what it did say but I changed that I got rid of that okay okay yeah I was going to I was going to mention that but what were you g to mention about it like maybe to change that part
(5:33:01) just because like some people like I guess within the sneaker space they know that but beyond that I don't think much people know yeah I I completely got rid of that fundamentally though like if you get right to the brast tax I don't think it's even wise to listen to my problem because I'm probably not your target audience right like no 100% it is if somebody my target audience is anybody with an aspiration to build a business do you that demographic okay fair but like let's see you know that you what's that yeah the
(5:33:38) bell curve where am I on that bell curve I'm probably not in the middle of it if you just to describe the people within the group right probably On The Fringe sides H probably not because I I bet you like probably like I'd have to like survey them but probably like 50 60 plus percent barely know what we have to offer to the server I have people all the time that I've been here for a year and all a I get a message like I didn't know we had that I'm like dude we [ __ ] post about this [ __ ] all the time but no I get
(5:34:14) it and then yeah I got somebody messaged me today like and this is something that we've talked about a lot but I get it because you have to be able to find that info somebody sent me a DM they looked in the brick Hound Channel which is like for Lego and they seen all these people getting pinged for Lego sets they're like how do I do that like that's like that's like one of our fundamental features which I get like a lot of people don't know I'm like just look at this dude let me know if you need help was able to figure out
(5:34:41) right away just didn't know where to find how to do it I'm like it's even better than what you think because you think you're just gonna get a little message you're gonna get [ __ ] dm' that same message yeah and there's I remember why realize that and I get excited about these things and a lot people look at them and they're like well why the [ __ ] does that matter like start using it start using it heavy you'll see how [ __ ] much of a game changer it is okay say that again start using so like automat I DMS yes so one of the things that we
(5:35:12) have in our server is what we call a keyword Pinger so I've designed the server that we have a [ __ ] ton of information being fed in here from all different places whether it's social media Reddit scraping stuff directly from websites Etc but I also gave the ability that somebody is able to filter through this information as efficiently as they want and you can use something called keywords so you have the ability to set a keyword for basically any channel in this server that you want so like say if you want to monitor uh one of our our
(5:35:53) deal channels for the keyword Lego so that you get notified every time there's a Lego uh a Lego deal right a discount on Lego products you can set a keyword for Lego in our Amazon Deal Monitor and every time time it detects the keyword Lego it'll mention you in that post and it'll also send you a direct message of that exact same that exact same message so when you see here's our here's our deal here's our deal post about this Lego set saying it's 50% off you will get that sent directly to your direct message yeah I post the are are you
(5:36:32) picking up what I'm putting down yeah I'm picking up what you're putting down I guess did you call it Amazon Deal maker our our deals for hold on I'm going to share my screen lot lot easier to visualize Vis visualize this [ __ ] I can't talk see I gotta find where the [ __ ] you are I got to see the screen here holy [ __ ] see give me a second [ __ ] so scroll SC scroll to the really top of the server and you find the voice chat you see my name hover over me and then click view my stream oh here you are found me yeah here you
(5:37:11) go yeah yeah cool so uh he find flips sent you a message in the voice chat chat but he sent you a a link to the command list and in this in this command list are all the Bots and tools everybody in the server can use some of these things are not going to be relevant to you that's fine but they're here if you want if you want to use them the one that we're looking at is our keyword Pinger so it'll watch any channels that you want for any specific keywords and then when it text these keywords it'll ping you in the corresponding Channel and
(5:37:46) also send you a DM of the message so for example we have like a bunch of deal channels that monitor for Price drops on products for deals so let's look at like Amazon for example this is like Amazon Canada deals so like these are just things you can either monitor for Price errors good deals or potentially products that you can buy and flip back on Amazon or locally stuff like that so a lot of [ __ ] gets posted in here uh not everything's super profitable like not everything's like a super great product it's just
(5:38:17) part of it but you don't have to watch everything so yeah if we find for example if you look at that brick Hound channel it's just called brick Hound because that's that's the bot that it's called it's monitoring Lego so I'm I'm monitoring for a keyboard for the percentage sign cuz because I know every time something is discounted it'll have that percentage sign in it so whenever this Channel populates with something that's on sale I get a ping so my name gets mentioned and then I get sent that exact same message in my DMs from our bot so
(5:38:53) if I open up my bot message and I open up this guy uh this guy I get that exact same message in my DM so I can very easily see anything that's happening in the server that that I want to focus on so I'm go ahead so I'm monitoring channels because like I'm looking for a lot of different information for a lot of different people so I'm monitoring for price deals for certain keywords for autograph stuff for sign stuff so like here I'm monitoring one of our our vinyl channels for like vinyl records for the keyword signed because a lot of signed
(5:39:38) vinyls are profitable so whenever detects the keyword signed I get sent a direct message I can look directly at that message here it is and then we can see if that's something that's profitable so I don't need to sit here and look through the hundreds of messages that come through here every day I can just look at the ones that are interest me yeah it makes sense now that you like take the time to go through it but yeah 100% so yeah I yeah I'll set that up for myself and so yeah like this and again this is something that
(5:40:20) is extremely powerful and I've never seen any other server like ours do something like this because like say if you join another group that's like say just like reselling focused right they will post things like like you see like what we post for like deals profitable potentials stuff to sell on eBay Etc but what they're doing is they have similar channels that what we have in a separate server and they're watching them themselves with their staff members and then when something comes through then they then they show the people that
(5:40:55) instead of doing that I'm giving every all the members access to all this information that other people would normally hide and showing you like if you really want to you can go into like say uh vinyl feeds you can click in this little description up here shows you every single place that we're monitoring so you can see what we're actually looking for so I'm not hiding [ __ ] I'm just making it easy for you to find information if you want to but you don't have to is that manually typed in or is that what is that like this yeah is that
(5:41:35) manually typed in yeah like we we type this in here whatever we yeah okay okay that wasn't automatically populated correct yes yeah I got you so like the reason why a lot of groups don't do things like this is because people have a concern that's like somebody will come in here they'll see what we're doing and they'll copy what I'm doing I've never given a [ __ ] about that because I know what goes into this I know most people ain't going to do it and if they do Ms off if you want to try and do it 100% good luck
(5:42:07) but I want everybody that's in here to have the capability if they want to utilize it to its full potential you don't have to but if you want to go super deep in it that's how I'm trying to make it like you can utilize this to an extreme potential in any Avenue that you want if you want to Roger that yeah I'm going have to do some more digging tomorrow now like if somebody's in here and they want to go super deep in sports betting they can see injury reports live in our Channel and like [ __ ] I shouldn't bet on
(5:42:43) this person or I should bet on this team or this person got injured they can see bots that are telling you that these are good potential bets for this reason this is telling you why this is a good bet yeah I think just you just really have to get into like find the patterns and then setting up systems around this is the part that is interesting keywords and all that stuff yeah like I'm putting it here for those that want to use it you 100% don't have to extract value from here but if you want to it's it's there for to use oh no
(5:43:23) I definitely will like especially with the restocking and stuff like that for my how of stock stuff in my list so yeah like like David are you familiar with our restock monitors uh no okay so like down like near the bottom of our channels we have something called restock monitors so what these are doing is these are monitoring specific products that we have deemed to be profitable and they're monitoring the websites and pinging us when those items restock okay and this like so when these items restock it literally within a few
(5:44:00) seconds of it stalking on whatever website we have supported it sends us the these messages so like we have these ones available publicly that we're monitoring for all these profitable drops right and we feed them all into one place they all come into here so if you want to find profitable stuff you can look through here and you'll find profitable stuff all day but you can use it and monitor products privately so in our command list there's a section called restock monitors private and shows you how to use them it
(5:44:38) looks super complicated on the surface but it's not and there's a whole video here that shows you a walkth through how to do it too once you figure it out it's pretty easy all you have to do is just message our bot directly here and then you can add any product that you want so I added this chair because I want to get it for free and now whenever this chair restocks I will get a message from this bot that looks just like this that looks like restock monitors and I'll say hey this item restocked here's a link I can open it up
(5:45:12) and then buy that product you also have like ATC so you can just just buy right away right there yeah you can just click that that link and it adds it directly to your cart but so like this for like what so remember you did like that I watched that like really long ass video I think it's 4 hours about um like your sourcing yeah okay okay you did you did a live sourcing thing right but you were using keepa product finder right well why not do that using this you know what I mean like you using keep a product finder so like what are
(5:45:54) your thoughts like like what do you mean by that yeah like you're um in that exact video you did for like 3 hours or whatever you're doing a sourcing session live sourcing session but by Jordan or whatever but you used keep a product finder like you could have used jungle Scout you could have used anything but why not Discord like this we can 100% yeah yeah like that's something I would love to see so like a a live sourcing session Arcane style yeah are you familiar with our Amazon to Amazon Bots that we have I
(5:46:35) don't even I've dabbled with Amazon to Amazon and I [ __ ] yes and no I got like scared away from it because I don't understand AA like I understand it fundamentally but why would Amazon do that I don't know so again if you want there's resources here available so like you can click on this guy up here and it takes you to a a guide about AA and it's a video explaining on how our a2a Bots actually work if you want to watch it so it walks you through it I've been doing an a TOA flip actually from your lead list yep so
(5:47:16) those ones are a little bit different because you're buying from one listing selling another this is buying on the same listing selling back on the same listing oh okay so a80a works because we see temporary price decreases right so if we can identify an item that normally sells at say $40 Buton Amazon temporarily prices it at $10 and we know we know from the history it looks entirely plausible that Amazon's going to increase that price back up because either they had they're imagine another retailer that maybe had
(5:47:49) a price glitch a clearance maybe Amazon was just trying to move their final units whatever the case may be they temporarily decrease their price so we can buy those items from Amazon and then the price increases back up almost always within like a few days usually like sometimes even within like a day or few hours we can buy that and then we can send it back in on the same listing and sell it just like a regular Arbitrage product so these these a2a Bots are monitoring exactly for that so they're looking for items that are temporarily
(5:48:22) decreased in price but regularly sell for more Okay so we've been having issues with these keeper graphs recently because keep has been changing access to their API um that's irrelevant but like you can see like the keep a graph here and you can see some information if you want it not all these are going to be viable obviously cuz it's it's a robot like it can only do so much it can't fully vet a product for you but there will be certainly profit Products that come through here so if you want you can take a peek in here and
(5:48:55) see if you can find something that's potentially profitable so like in this example here it says this guy when it pinged this channel earlier today it said that you could buy it at that time time for $1 it says on average it sells for about $27 so it says that we should be able to profit about $4 off this product so let's open it and see if that's true this might not be a product that we can sell for one it may not be a product that sells enough volume but yeah we can see right now Amazon has a price for 11 bucks and we see that the prior price
(5:49:30) history it typically sells for $28 so if this sold enough volume to satisfy our requirements it might be something that maybe we want to buy from Amazon because they only have three in stock and then we can send it back into Amazon just like regular Arbitrage product yeah it's really funny yeah so like recently uh We've caught a couple discounted Lego sets for example off your dad no not that one not that one so like for this for this one for example this one caught a Lego set that was discounted so it said that it was priced for $
(5:50:08) 39.97 normally sells for $82 so it's estimated in a profit about 20 bucks let's see if that's true so the price Amazon's on the listing the price is back up to $82 because we got this notification back on the 15th and so we can see a price drop right there so we jump in we see Amazon drop the price to 39.
(5:50:34) 97 came back up and so because I know what happened is Costco price this product for $39.97 because they're clearing it out Amazon systems are automatically looking for prices from the retailers and they price match all the time so Amazon price matched them so our bought detected it so if you were around when it when a price dropped all you do is click on it see is in stock for $39.
(5:50:57) 97 see it normally sells for a lot more buy it from Amazon send it back and now the price is increased again and it's going to stay at that price this is the type of [ __ ] where they would put a transparency code on it and then call it fake Pricks not on Lego sets yeah anyway yeah yeah that's that's something that's there if somebody wants to use it so these are just like substantial drops in like what like 90day drops or so like these are recent price drops obviously so like the price has to be dropped today and then it's comparing
(5:51:36) that data to data over the last 90 days oh yeah comparing it to okay correct so these don't have like a2a flips where you have to even like figure out the amount of time you have to actually sell what do you mean like where the price will go back to your like to like lower like maybe like you can see that where Amazon like periodically bum like comes into the listing so like if they like let's say you got it at the low price that Amazon uh that Amazon dropped it at maybe like matching a retailer but it periodically happens or something like
(5:52:18) that where maybe like every like three or four months or something like that that would happen where you'd see that price drop so yeah like it um the way that this is set up right now is say that were to happen um to avoid spam when when this produces a an Asin it actually logs that Asin and it won't produce it again as long as it's in that log so if that one pops back up it won't produce it again in here but chances are if it's a really good item we'll have it in our restock monitors or you'll see it in the
(5:52:55) Amazon Deal monitors um but I I want to change the our Bots here so that it automatically scrubs that list after a product has been in the for like say two weeks or so so that it refreshes it because like we have a lot of stuff that comes through here every single day as it is um if we did that where it like Scrubs it every like two weeks or so we'd have even more okay so so go ahead I want to say let's see here I'm G to pull this up the amazon to Amazon bot where is it old chilling is here to lose all his money
(5:53:37) again I don't gamble man I don't clearly oh oh no it's a different file never mind I was looking at it because uh I have some of the files here locally I'm not I'm not sure if you can no you can't see it on Discord so I have some of the files here locally but uh the yeah like we have some like notification text documents that are [ __ ] 11 gigs long or 11 gigs big okay okay so like the keywords the restock is the restock also a DM as well yes but the only thing that's not a DM is seller watch correct that's in your
(5:54:21) own private thread oh okay why did you make it a private thread instead of a DM uh it just at the time seemed the most plausible way to do it I don't know the difference between the [ __ ] two so David are you familiar are you familiar with seller watch I've I I literally tried it and couldn't figure it out and just [ __ ] threw the kitchen sink at it and left you should definitely use it is that is that the new a what's that is that the new a2a uh surface no so like solar watch is our bot oh okay I thought you're talking
(5:55:05) about another out your mic's cutting no chilling yeah I thought you were talking about another outside something there's an a2a bot called sellers no like like are you talking about like flip alert or yeah flip aler that's what I'm no so like this is our in-house stuff everybody can use this yeah so yeah Starwatch is a bot that can watch other competitiv or other Amazon sellers it so when you add a seller to it it cataloges their entire catalog and then whenever that seller stocks new products it notifies you in your own
(5:55:42) private thread so these are my own threads I have eight keepa accounts I have vas utilizing each one of these and so when it produces results you get notifications just like this so whenever the seller stocks new products I get a notification indicating the product all the details expected payout and the keeper graph so if you stock Pro if you stock storefronts for potential products this can almost autopilot for like put it on autopilot for you so like because a thing with storefront stalking is if you find a
(5:56:16) good storefront you want to regularly Source their storefront for new opportunities but the thing is if you stock their storefront and you stock it again in the future you're going to be looking through a lot of the same products you already look through right so this only shows you the new stuff so you don't have to relook through the entire storefront and you can very very easily see if a product is selling if it looks like it's profitable and then you can do a quick reverse search and see if you can find it somewhere
(5:56:42) else in the near future that will also be implemented sourcing directly in this thread as well yeah the what it does I understood but the how to do yeah so it's so and and I get it and again like I know if you haven't utilized Bots and stuff before I know it can be intimidating if you want to walk through I would encourage that you watch this video as you do it but all you have to do is just open up your thread and then send a command to the bot so for example uh once you set up your once you set up your Bot which you may or may not already have it
(5:57:26) set up you set it up it'll ask you for your keep a key put that guy in there then you're good to go and show start a thread what you said so yeah that's where I'm at where what's that all you have to do is come in Starwatch here okay and type in the up Arrow like this and click okay so that's the thread I got you so then it makes a channel like this and it puts you and the bot inside that channel and only you two can see it you and the bot ah okay that's the thread that's the thread yeah and then in there you can interact with the bot
(5:58:05) and that's where you'll see your Dil details so nobody else can see it if you want me to I can see your thread but I never look at other people's threads unless they have issues or they want me to so then yeah it adds you it adds your to a thread and then you can interact with it you can add sellers so if you want to add a seller you just open up their storefront uh let me make sure I'm not exposing some details here I'm G to stop recording hold on
