Detecting whether a website belongs to Shopify isn't a complex task, but you might be curious about why such identification is valuable. The rationale behind discerning a Shopify site can be twofold.
Firstly, in the context of our Discord community, we employ specialized bots capable of operating on almost any Shopify website. For context, if a website is a Shopify site, we can set up restock or scraper monitors for almost any of the products that they offer.
Secondly, with Shopify sites, we have bots that can create a customized Add To Cart (ATC) URL link that directly adds items to your cart. This feature allows us to bypass having to open a product page on release and gives us an edge in obtaining limited edition drops more quickly.
How to Identify if a website is a Shopify site
Navigate to the website you wish to check and then right click on the page and select "View page source".
Once inside the page source hit CTRL+F to bring up the find function and type Shopify. If anything appears that states "Shopify" then you can be confident it is a Shopify store.

Edit: as of November 2023 we have added a bot into our server that can auto detect Shopify sites for you.
In the #bot-commands channel, use the command /is-shopify <url>
This will automatically check the site for you and inform you if the site is a Shopify site or not.
